This is not my regular vet, but my vet was booked and College Road was able to get me an appointment this morning after one of my dogs scratched her cornea and eyelid while rough housing with my other dog. They ended up getting me in well before the scheduled appointment time as we arrived very early, and they were even kind enough to have a vet or a tech (not sure) come see in us the waiting room to assure me that this was something that could be treated there and not the ER vet. Having done the necessary tests and exam, and after getting all four meds my girl was discharged with, we were in and out within 30 minutes. Every member of the office, front desk and medical staff, that we interacted with was so pleasant and understanding. My pup seemed at ease the whole time and they were very sweet to her as well! I would not hesitate to take either of my dogs to College Road again in the future! Tofu and I thank you all :)

Shosh already obviously feels better. Doesn’t struggle so much to get up after lying down and is able to jump up on sofa and beds. Thanks so much to Dr. Martin and staff! ❤️❤️

Experiencia negativa: We called ahead on a Saturday to confirm that emergency walk-ins were accepted and were explicitly told to come in so our sick puppy could be seen. Based on that guidance, we brought our 6-month-old puppy to the clinic. Upon arrival, we were required to pay $90 out of pocket to call Pet Poison Control before any evaluation or treatment would be provided. That call involved a long hold and repeating the same information we had already given staff, only for it to be relayed back to the doctor. After this, we were informed that the clinic did not have the necessary medication, would be closing early, and that we would need to take our puppy to the emergency vet hospital instead. In total, we paid nearly $700 and received no meaningful treatment, despite being directed to come in for emergency care. Given the circumstances, this experience was both frustrating and unacceptable. We were told to come in, charged significant fees, and ultimately sent elsewhere for actual care. A refund would be more than reasonable, and based on our experience, I would not recommend this clinic.

All the ladies at the front desk were so friendly to us and to other animals in waiting room. Jade was our Assistant and she was so sweet and good at what she does. Dr. Keresman was very understanding to our last minute appointment. She was also very thorough in her exam of my puppy. Everyone here was welcoming, kind, and really loved animals. The office is clean and didn’t smell like animals, pee, poop or Lysol! All around an A+ experience.

Experiencia positiva: I brought a stray cat into this clinic for an initial exam. She was very patchy, and the staff told me she had fleas. They treated her for that and assured me she was safe to bring home. Two weeks later, she was still itching despite multiple flea treatments and baths, and she had several clear ringworm spots on her body. When I returned to the clinic asking for ringworm medication—which I felt should have been tested for or treated initially—they refused to prescribe it unless I paid for a $200 ringworm test first. Both my cat and I were showing clear signs of ringworm at this point. The test ended up being inconclusive, yet they went ahead and prescribed the ringworm medication anyway, suggesting that it’s a safe treatment even if ringworm isn’t confirmed. In hindsight, this means I paid $200 for a test that wasn’t necessary, and the delay led to the infection spreading to me and throughout my home. I wish the clinic had been more proactive and reasonable in their approach. That said, most of the staff were friendly and kind throughout the process—it just felt like there was a lack of practical judgment in handling an obvious case.

They've been able to get me in the same day I call when I'm really concerned about something. I'd recommend them to anyone I know that has a pet.

Experiencia negativa: New to the area and reviews were good so chose this one. Never again. My 8yo lab mix had TPLO surgery in Jan 2024 in Reno and is now limping on other leg. Odds were he’d need surgery so I knew what to expect. Arrived 30 min early per request only to have to wait 30 minutes because I had filled everything out online. In the room the assistant asked a million questions but he is up to date on vaccines, a service dog and I just wanted to have a doctor see how bad his leg was. They took him for blood work for heartworm meds and he was gone a while. When he came back the vet came and apparently had done an exam though he was taken to get a blood sample. I have never had the vet do an exam without me present and he’s trained to only work for me so he was visibly upset when he returned. Vet said he had a lump and she heard a heart murmer which was like, wait what??? Then they were manhandling him to lie him on his side to check out his knee. He was already stressed and upset and they put a muzzle on him and forced him to the floor. I was trying to calm him down but to see my gentle, trained, certified baby terrified on the floor while the vet played around with his leg citing he was too tense to feel anything ? What kind of vet does that I was livid. She suggested surgery and kept trying to suggest X-rays. I felt like they were throwing everything at me to just get more money. He will need X-rays before surgery (duh) but there was no way I’m trusting these people to touch him again. I just wanted to leave as soon as possible. Last time the doctor had him standing and could tell his knee was hurt but this time was just cruel. I was so focused on leaving I took the meds paid $400 and ran out. $400!!!!! For what??? Terrible service, shady practices doing the exam outside the room which I technically didn’t even ask for and then manhandling him to the floor with no results. Shame on you College Road. We have spent a lot of time in vets offices and they always take the time to make sure were both comfortable and informed. I’ll be finding another vet ASAP

(They graciously kept giving me appointments.) They were very kind, cheerful and skilled in treating her. I appreciate their willingness to work with me so much!

Experiencia negativa: There a great place if you need test run that they won't give you results to or you just want to donate some bothersome cash for no reason, but if you have a pet that needs help please don't waste your time here they won't even have the compassion or professionalism to look at your pet they will just turn them away by having the girl at the front desk run you out this place is run by terrible people who only care about money. Your staff never looked at or addressed my dog or his situation please do not insult me or my pet by saying you did what was best for him just own up to the fact you decided not to care plain and simple.

Experiencia negativa: We brought our little yorkie in yesterday at 9:30. Was told he was very sick. They kept him and gave fluid and meds to him. They said they didn't know what was wrong with him. We were there 3 hours. We left him all day and picked him up at 5:30. Paid over $700 and still don't have a clue as to what happen to my boy. They told me to bring him back this morning between 7 and 8. We arrived around 7:15. They made us sit with him in the car for 40 minutes. They never came out and when Shadow urinated all over me, we left. Girl called a few minutes later and said she came out an We were gone. Even though I like the girls at the front desk, this girl was rude. Quality of service as really gone down since Dr. Lanzi sold it. Very, very disappointed in them.

They were able to make a same day appointment for me (despite my cat never being seen there). When I arrived, the receptionist were welcoming. The vet and vet tech were knowledgeable and informative. The cost was also affordable (I thought it was going to cost as least twice as much as it did).

Experiencia negativa: We will never take our Great Pyrenees to this facility ever. There are way overpriced and done care about your pet, all they care about is the money. Charge for antibiotics $150.00 another vet was $50. SAME MEDS. DON'T TAKE YOUR PET THERE, GO TO COUNTRY VET ON MARKET STREET.

Experiencia fantástica: I couldn’t be more thankful for College road Animal Hospital! Last week, my cat, Mittens, started acting oddly and by Friday I was very concerned about her. I called my usual vet and they weren’t able to see her until Monday. Saturday came around and I knew I couldn’t wait any longer, after calling multiple places, College road was able to get me in the same day! Even though my mittens is a difficult patient, they gave her some medication to feel more comfortable until they could see her again on Monday. I dropped her off Monday morning and when I brought her back home, I saw my cat again for the first time in days. The second I took her out of her carrier, she started drinking and eating again, something she hadn’t done for a while. I don’t know what I would have done without them! (Plus, they are all so incredibly kind!) Thank you!
