Fantastic experience: I enjoy visits at Academy Pet Hospital. Both my pitts are treated well. The staff are warm and inviting. The vets are knowledgeable and easy to talk to. The cost is very comparable and I believe actually less expensive than other vet clinics. I’m always impressed by the follow up calls to check on my babies after visits. I recommend Academy Pet Hospital if you’re looking for a dependable, inexpensive and clean pet hospital for your four legged babies. I love this place.

Fantastic experience: I have brought my GSP Loki here since he was a puppy and have always had a wonderful experience! I also bring my calico Jasper for checkups and she is treated very gently. I had dental work done for her and she has been a happy kitty ever since.

Fantastic experience: Pleasantly surprised to learn Dr. Reid now owns this practice! I brought my furbaby feline Keiyoshi as a walk-in patient at 0730, this morning due to a spay incision site infection, although I kept the cone on her head for 9 days as instructed by her previous vet. On day 9, her incision site was healing well, so I removed her cone, but because of new hair growth being itchy when it grows in, she was incessantly grooming her incision site...and her little roll of fat at the site doesn't help LOL (She's 10 lbs). At first her skin didn't look angry and red, but as days passed it was evident she presented with a definite skin infection, and when I looked at her belly after a period of time without the cone, I knew she needed antibiotics and pain medication. The receptionist staff, the veterinarian technician Christa, and Dr. Reid explained her medical specifics in detail, they cleaned up the area and presented an estimate for services and medications, which was VERY reasonably priced...AND they assessed her even though Dr. Reid had a full patient caseload today...I was also very stressed because Keiyoshi is my service animal [ESA Emotional Support Animal] because I suffer from PTSD, and I couldn't stand the thought of her being in pain and feeling miserable, but once I realized it was Dr. Reid, my anxiety level started to diminish...He is by far one of the best veterinarians in Fayetteville and frankly, he's the only one I trust to take care of my Keiyoshi's medical needs...I'm returning to complete my veterinary assistant studies next year and the most important part of any canine/Feline spay is this: That cone is important! Thank you Dr. Reid for fitting us into your busy schedule this morning! And congratulations on your acquisition of another animal clinic! This animal hospital rocks!

Fantastic experience: Our dog max got a bacterial infection and I am new here in north Carolina so I just searched the best veterinary around and this establishment popped up. I got a schedule the next day when I called. They are accommodating and a lot on owners go here to check their pets. They are very knowledgeable with the animals and they know what they are doing. I like how they give free nail clips too just ask how! I definitely recommend them

I was able to get a next day appointment, which was awesome, because you never like to see your pet in pain. We I arrived, my husband was already in a room (clean) and getting educated (I Loved That)! Less than ten minutes he was seen by the vet and we were out within30 minutes. I say if u can afford it it's worth it, & your pet will appreciate the care it receives.

Negative experience: Unprofessional, greedy, insensitive. I put a dog down and they made us wait an hour in there with our dog we knew we were gonna put down like that wasn't horrible enough then some dude we don't know that's filling in comes in gets the name of my dog wrong and then starts and keeps referring to him as a her. Another dog at another time they go to spay her when she's already been spayed ,I adopted her from pound, told me yeah we dug around In there guess she's already been fixed. Had a tattoo plain as day on her belly. Then recently forgot to charge my sister for something ,THAT SHE DID NOT ASK FOR TO BEGIN WITH, then realize they had after they gave her an invoice stating her devices had been paid in full , send her a new one and refuse to give her animals files and chart until she pays the new balance, she did not want it ask for and does not recall receiving. Ugly and threatened her with legal action and to send her to collections, it's 33 $,That's not just shady that's unethical and bordering on illegal. They are rude and always over scheduling and it's chaotic they are all about the $ and treat animals and people badly.

Negative experience: Very disappointed with My family has been associated with this Pet hospital for over 20 years. There was a clerical mistake made on my last invoice, and I refuse to pay for a clerical mistake. If McDonald’s puts two burgers in the bag and only charges you for one, whose fault is that? After threatening to turn me over to collections for $33 I will not be frequenting this pet hospital anymore. Academy Pet‘s principal is to make a mistake and pass it on to the customer.

Original review: I had never heard of them until I needed a place to take my pound puppy - but I am so HAPPY I tried the Academy Pet Hospital! The staff is wonderful - they are friendly, consciences, caring and very affordable. I recommend them to everyone. Not only do I use them vaccinations, meds, toenail clipping - but also for boarding (and I have never had any complaints :) )

Fantastic experience: First time bringing my animals here and the staff are very friendly and upfront with prices. Was easy to get an appointment and good prices on prevention. Will definitely be back with my other fur babies for their annual. Update a month later: had my cat spayed here and my dog’s dental done. Ended up having 6 extractions. I cannot say enough nice things about this place. I am very particular about my animals and I thoroughly trust this vet office. They also offer boarding, which I’ll be utilizing in the future. 10/10 HIGHLY recommend!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love it here! They have always been really good with my dogs. Their prices are good compared to others as well. I get my dogs nails trimmed monthly and it’s $16/visit. One of my dogs is a bit reactive and scared of other dogs and people. The vets do their best to make sure he’s comfortable and always answer me when I have questions and concerns.

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough great things about this vet clinic! I brought my puppy in a few weeks ago for some stomach issues, and the staff was amazing from start to finish. They took great care of him and even helped me file everything with my pet insurance, which made the whole process so much easier. I came back today to get him set up for his neuter, and Kaitlyn was super nice and helpful throughout the entire visit. She answered all my questions, explained everything clearly, and made me feel completely at ease. Everyone at the clinic has been so kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. I’m so thankful to have found a vet I can truly trust with my pup!

Positive experience: I am very picky when it comes to vet clinics and I was hoping we wouldn’t have to search for multiple ones in this area. Our initial appointments with this vet were fine and the clinic nurses were kind and informed, for the most part. However, they charge $6 per prescription to send it to any outside pharmacies (ex. Chewy). Why am I going to pay you more for dog food that my pet needs, plus a fee for submitting a prescription. That to me is unacceptable and a way to get more money from the consumer. Also, the first appointment for new patients they charge at the time of scheduling. Which is something I’ve never dealt with before. I guess people bring their dogs in and don’t pay. Not sure but that should’ve been a red flag. Plus the parking situation is not ideal here and the building is kind of run down. Overall, if you really need to see a vet for your pet, they will definitely take care of them but I wouldn’t go to them for long term care.

Fantastic experience: I just wanted to say a big thank you to the doctors and nurses at Academy Vet. My daughters puppy was very sick with parvo and they took us in immediately with no appointment Friday. We didn't think that she was going to make it. They treated her and sent us home with some medicine and she is doing great. We are so greatful. Thank yall!

I'm disappointed that I only got to see them for end of life care for my dog. However, I'm grateful that they are where we went.
