Fantastic experience: It was so easy to make an appointment online, the nurse and doctor were thorough and quick to help me and my dog Gucci. I was unable to get in with my regular vet and Gucci had a scratched eyeball tha needed quick care. The facility is modern and clean and I basically love everything about this place ❤️

Fantastic experience: We were in with a potential bowel obstruction and they quickly got us in, checked our dog, and made sure it didn’t need to be elevated to an emergency. They then help us navigate cost effective options and gave us multiple referrals for follow up. Calling the next day to check up was a very appreciated move

I was very pleased with the attention I got there. It was on par with my regular vet, if not even better. I really appreciate having a great option when I just don't want to wait.

When we were dealt bad news about a past dog, I couldn’t have imagined a more empathetic and supportive team. Fantastic experience: I have taken a stray kitten that was not feeling well . Not eaten or drinking etc. The vet and technician that took care of him is knowable and give us hope which we were looking for. The vet had did some Exam and did other treatments and now the Kitten is back to his normal self. Good place to take your Pets. Thank you all very much.

Dr. McMillan was incredibly thorough and caring while examining our dog for an unknown injury, taking the time to explain everything clearly and thoughtfully. Karen’s communication throughout the process was outstanding. She kept us informed, answered all our questions, and made the entire experience feel seamless and reassuring. Fantastic experience: They opened as soon as the snow storm was safe and I’m so thankful because we really needed them. I wish they were primary care because their tech and vet were so gentle, my very feisty Doxie was speechless for the first time in her life! Also they remembered her name and used it often and very very gentle with their movements, it felt like a pediatrician office. I also appreciate that they didn’t take an X-ray because they felt the exam was sufficient whereas other vets may have been less intuitive and more eager to run up the bill. Thank you!! 10/10!

Fantastic experience: Taking our reactive pitbull to the vet is usually very stressful, but Karisma and Dr. Camacho were truly amazing. They handled our dog with so much patience and care and are hands down the best we’ve ever experienced. They were also very informative and transparent about fees and next steps, which we really appreciated. We left feeling relieved, supported, and grateful. Fantastic experience: This was a pleasant experience while simultaneously experiencing an unpleasant experience with my sweet pet. I am undoubtedly pleased with Truss Vet Urgent Care. To have such a knowledgeable Veterinarian and welcoming Veterinarian technicians, made all the difference in the world. I was able to express the need for a larger litter box waiting for my pet’s arrival and was accommodated upon check in. The beautiful large windows allowed my pet and I to enjoy the moment of peace together from the chaos we’ve been moving through. Clean & peaceful environment. Fantastic experience: Our dog was acting strange and seemed to be in pain—I wanted to get him seen as soon as possible, and our vet couldn’t get him in. We walked in here and got seen within 15 minutes. The kind, caring team at Truss loved on my boy like he was king, and he even seemed sad to leave them. They didn’t try to push anything on us, and we left with a plan and the meds we need to get him feeling better. I was feeling worried and stressed, and I couldn’t imagine a better experience.

Fantastic experience: We unfortunately had to bring Cooper here twice in one week for tummy issues, but he received exceptional care both times. Dr. McMillan and nurse Carmela, as well as Dr. Camacho and nurse Emily, were incredibly kind, attentive, and thorough. After the second visit, Cooper cleared right up. We were especially grateful that they immediately sent his records to our regular vet and followed up with multiple check-in calls to see how our boy was doing. Emergencies are stressful, but the entire team made us feel supported and confident in his care. We would absolutely return here for any emergency needs for our animals.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with Truss when I brought my kitty Momo in for tummy troubles. Dr. Camacho and Alicia were very kind, professional, and thorough. Momo and I had to wait a while for the x-rays to come back, but Alicia updated me frequently. I will definitely visit Truss again for any future kitty emergencies (fingers crossed I wont have to ).

Fantastic experience: An amazing experience from the nurse, doctor, as well as the woman sitting at the desk out front. My cat had some flea issues from my dads cat when I went home for winter break, they were able to calm me down with the issue and provide my cat the care she needed as well as giving me education on the issue, they even followed up a couple days later! Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: We urgently visited Truss Veterinary Care after our 3yo Doxie got her paws on a CBD/THC gummy that we thought was safe from her reach. I called ahead to check her in while my husband grabbed her and was already on the road heading their way. They assessed her right away and informed us of the recommended treatment. Fortunately it was determined that her case was mild and with subcutaneous hydration and anti-emetics she was able to come home within 3 hours. They were professional, informative and treated our pup and her worried owners with kindness and compassion. It's comforting to know that if we ever need urgent care in the future we'll know they are ready to receive us.

Fantastic experience: Went here yesterday at 5:30 PM with no appointment, stayed until 8:30 PM. The patience and care that my cat and I received was immense. While we didn't get the outcome we were looking for, I couldn't have asked for a better team; they really care about the pet and the people they're helping.

Fantastic experience: We have 3 dogs and it never fails that stuff happens. When it happens and our normal vet isn’t open, I always try Truss first. They have always had a quick response, really awesome vets and staff, the exam is thorough, and every step of the way you know what the charge is for each thing. We are so lucky to have an urgent vet like Truss nearby!

Fantastic experience: I know reading reviews matters for choice of something like an urgent care vet, so I am leaving a review because the techs, vet, and reception, the whole team were just outstanding from start to finish. They so clearly love what they do! My boy Atlas came in with what we thought was a broken wrist, and they cared so well for him, clearly agreeing he is the best boy ever, that I felt zero hesitation leaving him while they X-rayed him and diagnosed things. They took a long time explaining pricing and what they thought was needed versus abundantly cautious, and helped me decide in a really stressful moment what was best for Atlas. The vet later they spent 20 min with me on the phone explaining the whole thing and how to care for him going through the rehab. I have taken another of my pugs to a different local urgent care vet (2 separate ones actually) so their transparent pricing along the way was honestly a breath of fresh air, and we even came in under budget (because Atlas really is the bestest boy and didn’t need full sedation for his x rays). 10/10, wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to friends and family and take my pups back there if we ever have to again. Fantastic experience: I was able to get a same day appointment on the app. I completed all the info required in the app, including a description of my dog’s symptoms. When I arrived, I was promptly shown to an exam room. The vet tech came in shortly afterward. She was very good with my dog and had clearly read what I wrote in the app about my dog’s symptoms. She briefed the vet on our conversation, and then the two examined my dog. It appeared to be a thorough exam. They gave me a list of options along with costs. They were not at all pushy about taking unnecessary and the most costly options. We got medications and headed home. The office called the next day to check on my dog. It was a very good experience, and I wouldn’t hesitate to go back again.

Fantastic experience: Our old lady seemed to be hurting and we didn’t want to wait to see our regular vet as we had already waited a day to see if she’d feel better on her own. Dr Strickland assessed her and we found she had pain in her back. Dr Strickland was very professional and explained what could be the cause of the pain. She didn’t try to upsell anything that wasn’t absolutely necessary. She recommended we give her muscle relaxer and pain meds and then follow up with our regular vet, if those didn’t help. Luckily, our baby is already feeling so much better. So happy they’ve opened an urgent pet care in Durham!

Fantastic experience: Truss Vet really helped me out today. With how slammed most primary vets are these days, being able to come here for urgent care really took things off my mind. I called ahead while driving over and they only had a few other questions they needed from me before showing me to the room when I got there. They were quick, professional, and great with my dog Roxy, making a stressful situation as bearable as possible. My only wish is that there was one closer to the east side of Durham, but maybe one day!

Fantastic experience: I brought my dog to Truss vet after she got into a fight with another dog. Her primary vet didn’t have any availability to see her that day, so they recommended Truss and I’m so glad they did! We didn’t have an appointment and just walked in, and they were able to get her on the schedule quickly. Everybody that we worked with was kind and professional, and the clinic was nice and quiet, putting my anxious dog at ease. The injuries were worse than originally expected, but they were still able to attend to everything and get her all stitched up. I picked her up that evening and she was in good spirits. Fantastic experience: Truss is great! I'm thankful they offer walk-in vet care when my regular vet's office is closed (my vet was the one who recommended them for after-hours urgent care). The friendly and knowledgeable vet tech/assistant that checked in with us before our wait to see the vet was much appreciated. I felt the wait time was completely reasonable given they had other patients before us. Dr. Strickland and assistants were absolutely wonderful with my kitty who had an abscess on his leg and was in pain. She got him stabilized, on antibiotics, pain meds, and they went over home care instructions thoroughly. I feel very fortunate to have a quality option along with my regular vet.

Fantastic experience: They were able to get me and my baby boy checked in quickly and figure out what the issue was. He had a strained neck muscle and I was so worried coming in but I felt more confident when I left. They were gentle with him and prescribed him some medication for pain & inflammation. If I ever have another scary moment with my dog and I cant go to my regular vet this is the first place I will go! Thank you again to Dr. Isabella McMillan

Fantastic experience: Fantastic experience! Convenient location, plenty of parking, and an atmosphere calm enough that even my 100-lb drama king felt relaxed. The nurse managed to draw blood without sedating him — which deserves its own award. Friendly, patient staff and zero chaos. My old man enjoyed the view while we waited for results. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I can't say enough nice things about this clinic!! I had to bring my lil 16.5yo chiweenie in because he was unfortunately attacked by my larger dog. I was a complete mess. From start to finish they have been nothing but kind, thoughtful, and caring!! They were very thorough throughout the whole process and explained everything they were doing step by step. Same with the pricing. They went over everything so there were no surprises. And the follow up care has been top notch! They text me the next morning and throughout the day to check in on Peanut to be sure he was doing ok. While I hope I never ever have to go through anything like this, I find comfort knowing there are places like this with people who truly care!

Extremely gentle with him during his testing and went above and beyond to help create a solution regardless of the steps and how long they took out of their own time to make it happen even working past their closing time while I was waiting. Negative experience: My dog tore through her paw pad and was bleeding and panting in distress. There was NO ONE else in the waiting area when I arrived. The receptionist was on the phone having a very casual leisurely conversation. I stood there with my poor dog for 10 minutes while she continued to have a nice chat with someone she knew. She never made any effort to get off the phone or even put them on hold and find out why I was there. I have never seen anyone less compassionate in the face of an animal in distress in my life. I truly hope she has the day, week, life she deserves.

Fantastic experience: Of course no one likes to visit the veterinary urgent care, but if you do, Truss was wonderful with our pup who was in a lot of pain. They tended to her needs before booking and prodding and it’s clear they really love on the animals. We were very very happy with Dr. Camacho as well as the vet techs and front staff.

Fantastic experience: My experience with Truss was a 10/10! When I called in the morning the front desk staff was very polite and helpful, I got an appointment that very day-no problems! Once we arrived they let us wait in the comfort room, so my boy had his own space to wait. The vet tech who helped him was very loving and gentle with my dog. She listened to all my issues I have been having and took note of every little bit. The vet did a very thorough exam of my dog, when other emergency hospitals I took him too didn’t seem to do near as much poking around as Truss did. They really took their time trying to figure out what was going on with my dog and consulted an entire team to come up with possible options. Im glad they took the time and took it seriously and didn’t just advise me to give my dog pain meds to fix his pain short term, but instead wanted to help long term. I definitely recommend them! Everyone seems to care and be compassionate (front desk, vet tech, and vet). I would highly recommend them!

Fantastic experience: We had a great experience at Truss Vet. Booking a same day appointment was easy and helped us get seen before our vet could fit us in. We were in and out of our appointment in a reasonable amount of time (intake + exam + wound cleaning ~ 1.5 hrs). I also appreciated that each part of the treatment plan (including exam) was discussed with us before it took place, and we reviewed anticipated costs for each step, including the "Plan B." I thought costs were very reasonable and clearly explained, and in line with what I expected/pay at our usual vet. Carmela and Dr. Camacho were patient, professional, and kind (and didn't mind being covered in fur - sorry!). The convenience and great experience mean we'll be back again when the need arises!

Fantastic experience: I had to take my dog in to the Durham location 2 separate times. Both times the experience was amazing from the time we walked in. Dr.Camancho is exceptional. The second time we went, we had to have our dog laid to rest. She and her aide were both so compassionate and understanding of what I was about to go through. The aid even assisted me and took him to the car after he was deceased. I would recommend this location for anyone needing urgent pet services. Rest In Peace to my sweet D'Jango

Fantastic experience: My dog was bitten by something in my backyard. He was seen quickly by the vet, who was able to remove the stinger of a wasp from his paw. Was told if a snake bite there would be swelling in paw, good to know. Any tests, procedures were explained to me and the costs involved. I’m overall an excellent experience.

Fantastic experience: I’ve never been to a pet urgent care, so I was nervous to take my cat to a vet that isn’t her usual doctor. Turns out I had no cause to worry. Dr. McMillan and Carmela were great with Luci, handling her with care, patience, and great communication with me. Very up front about pricing, which I appreciate. Only one vet on staff at 8 pm (understandably) so there was a fair amount of waiting time.

Fantastic experience: We’ve moved around a lot over the last three years and we’ve been to three different vets in three different states. Our experience at Truss Vet was as good or better than anywhere! Many things seem worth mentioning. The cleanliness of the office was notable. The staff friendliness and helpfulness were equally great! And it was easy to find, and it was very easy to find parking! The radiologist gave us our results immediately, and this was very helpful. It didn’t hurt that we got good news :-) Pricing seemed very reasonable. We hope we won’t need their services again, but if we do, we’ll be glad to go there! Many thanks to everyone.

Fantastic experience: EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE!! Everyone was super friendly and the site was clean and fun! Lots of free space for dogs to roam outside and the exam rooms weren’t as clinical as some vets. The vet, Dr. Camacho, was fabulous, helped our dog relax, and was able to explain his condition and reassure us. We are relieved. Isabel the tech was super sweet. So glad we came here!

I'd recommend them to anyone. The only bummer is that since they are urgent care, they can't be our primary vet!

Fantastic experience: Less than an hour after I first called, my cat and I were in a room and getting his tail injury looked at. Everybody was friendly, helpful, and professional! As a bonus, the liquid gabapentin they sent home with us is the first medicine he's ever actually liked the flavor of, so that makes my life a lot easier too! I'll definitely be recommending Truss to all my friends in the area.

Fantastic experience: I’m so happy to have found this vet! I inherited a little kitty who was grieving her previous owner and not eating. I was able to get her an exam and medicine same day, and everyone was incredibly accommodating and empathetic throughout the whole process. She ate as soon as we got home! And it was much more affordable than going to a 24h emergency clinic. Will definitely be coming here for any urgent care cat needs.

Fantastic experience: These people are absolutely incredible! They took care of everything that we needed same day for our dogs double ear infection. They were reasonably priced and made us feel so well taken care of. I would highly recommend them to anyone who has an urgent care need.

Fantastic experience: This was our first experience with Truss vet. One of our dogs was exhibiting symptoms of a possible intenstinal blockage, and Truss was able to get her in right away. Luckily we only lived about 5 minutes away, too. Everyone we interacted with there was so kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. They gave us clear estimates, instructions, and answered any and all questions we had. What would have been a very scary experience, was alleviated with Truss’ care. We cannot be more thankful!

Fantastic experience: My cat Georgie was seen by Dr. McMillan and Amanda (RVT) today. The team was transparent about costs and treatment options. They treated Georgie like one of their own. I’ve never had such a wonderful experience at an emergency vet or a general vet. I highly recommend Truss Vet to care for my cat’s emergency needs!

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Truss Vet! They were incredibly helpful when my dog was experiencing concerning symptoms. From an initial phone call to see if it was an emergency, to a late night walk-in appointment with no wait time. All of the staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and thorough. They were up front about their (reasonable!) fees and it didn’t seem like a money making scheme like many other vets. I have never had a vet spend so much time with my pet and I, examining and answering questions. It was truly a great experience!

Fantastic experience: We had an excellent visit at Truss Urgent care. We dog had a bad ear infection and my normal vet couldn’t see her so I took her to Truss. They were so good with her. The facility was very clean, and the staff were all nice. They got her in and out in about an hour and the price wasn’t that much more than I would have paid at the vet. I highly recommend Truss if you need an urgent visit for your pet.

Fantastic experience: I have had 2 experiences with Truss. A few months ago, I had an old cat with a new growth on her lip. I was able to get her into the Durham office to have the growth looked at. Recently, I brought my chihuahua into the Cary office for an ultrasound and aspirations of growths on her liver and spleen (ultrasound was not available in the Durham office). Both the Durham and Cary offices were exceptional experiences. The facilities were clean. The staff were qualified and caring. In both situations, I was able to get appointments right away. At this point, I prefer the Truss Urgent care to the local emergency rooms because they don't push for expensive emergency surgeries. I wish I had known about this group a few years ago when my last dog had an urgent situation. I will be back.

Fantastic experience: This is the best urgent care I have ever been to. My little Pekingese ate a grape and they were waiting for her when we got there. So kind and comforting. and my girl is fine and wasn’t even stressed! Thank you !!!!!

Fantastic experience: I went to the Durham location recommended by my vet when they couldn’t get me in. I was able to make an appointment on line and give a brief overview of the issues my dog was having. Once there, everyone I encountered was wonderful! Dr. Camacho and Desiray were also so gentle with my pup because she is hesitant towards vets. They took their time evaluating her, answering my questions and coming up with a plan for her. They also let informed me what the charges would be upfront which I found helpful. By the end of the visit, my pup was giving Dr. Camacho kisses. They sent us home with meds and a nice note saying they hope my pup feels better. Plus they text me the next day to check on her and remind me of instructions. I can’t say enough good things about my experience here! Thank you so much!

Fantastic experience: This was truly the best experience I’ve had with my dog in a long time. She’s generally pretty fearful and I let them know ahead of time on the phone. We were taken to a room right away, she was treated so well, and they were able to tackle our health issue for less than our usual vet. Everyone from the front desk to the nurse to the vet were incredible. They even gave us extra treats. I would very much recommend and I’m very picky.

Fantastic experience: I’m OTR truck driver my little dog got an ulcer in her eye. She must have bumped into something. I’m truly grateful for their care and being able to take me in. Fantastic experience: Very clean clinic. Staff was welcoming and courteous. Payment amount was addressed prior to treatment so you were aware of the cost. Staff was gentle when handling my dog. Cost of treatment was above regular vets, but not exorbitant. I would recommend Truss for urgent care matters.

Fantastic experience: I can't recommend this urgent care highly enough. I've had two recent visits and the staff to a person was competent, caring, and when I needed it the most, extremely sympathetic and kind. I have two regular vets and neither had appointments available, one on a holiday weekend (naturally) and I was able to be seen both times as a walk-in. Truss is providing an invaluable service to our area with generous hours when you have a non-life-threatening veterinary need. I give them 10 stars!

Fantastic experience: I can't say enough good things about Truss . Every time I've brought my pups in the staff has been incredibly kind, attentive and patient. My poppy is naturally shy and gets nervous in new environments, but the team went above and beyond to make her feel safe and comfortable. They even sent her home with a bravery award which was such a thoughtful touch. I've visited a few times now and each experience has been consistently excellent.The wait times are short and the clinic is clean and calm, and the care is top-notch.It's clear that everyone there truly cares about animals.I am so grateful to have this kind of urgent care available when my regular vet is closed

Fantastic experience: Best experience I’ve ever had at an urgent care vet. We were seen right away. The nurse, Emily, and Dr. Isabella Mcmillan were so kind, informative and helpful. We were in and out in less than an hour with everything that we needed! 10/10 would recommend

Fantastic experience: Had to take my dog in semi-urgently before our vet was available (Truss was recommended by my usual vet) after a dog bite quickly turned into an infection with an abscess - the facility was nice & clean, the staff and vet were very friendly, compassionate, and seemed to genuinely care and were concerned for my baby! He got great care and we left with all the pain meds and antibiotics he needed right from the vet. Plus, Truss knows he’s doing well, they reached out to see how he is doing the following day! Before doing anything, they break down costs for an estimate of each diagnostic test/intervention. Vet costs are expensive, and for urgent care I feel like the price was reasonable. Added bonus, Buford earned his “certificate of bravery” that is now front and center on our refrigerator! 12/10 would recommend for any urgent care pet needs. Edit to add - I’ve noticed some comments about wait time / things being slow. I work in healthcare and it’s same for humans. Urgent cares and emergency rooms are some of the slowest places for things to be done if you aren’t CRITICAL! Things are triaged and take time - it’s not expected to be a speedy process, just because things can be slow doesn’t mean the care you receive is any less. Buford had to wait a little longer because of two critical patients that came in, the staff was great at communicating this to us and let us know we’d be waiting a bit longer to see the vet, which was completely understandable.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Strickland and Alicia were so good with our injured pup. Getting on the wait list was easy, we were seen quickly, and our fur baby’s paw was dx and treated. Thankful this service was available while our vet was out.

Fantastic experience: We visited Truss vet to look into a worsening condition for our cat. They were able to see us same day, and did a thorough physical exam of our cat and diagnosed him with something our previous vet missed. They were kind, compassionate and so helpful. We are very thankful.

Fantastic experience: My elderly cat had an after hours medical issue and my vet recommended it was serious enough to take him to Truss rather than wait until he could be seen the following day. They were able to see him immediately, super friendly staff, took very good care of him, and gave several options of care with prices included. They explained the tests, results and treatment very clearly. The facility was clean and new. The bill was much more than it would have been for a regular visit with the same tests at my vet at normal hours. I’ve had similar bills at other emergency vet clinics so I guess this is normal?

Fantastic experience: Dr Strickland and her team were absolutely amazing. All the nurses were so kind and helpful and tolerant of all my questions. They really treated my girl as if she was a part of their family.

Fantastic experience: Such a good experience getting treatment for my dog’s acute ear infection when his regular vet wasn’t able to see him same day. Even though he’s not the friendliest with strangers, vet and vet tech were gentle and kind, clearly communicated the treatment options and cost, and got us in and out efficiently (I booked online ahead of time). Hope not to need them often, but grateful Truss is here when we do!

Fantastic experience: Our regular vet referred us to Truss for an ultrasound for our kitty. They were so kind and helpful, and Dr. Frey went over the results with us immediately so we didn't have to worry any longer than absolutely necessary. (Fortunately our kitty is going to be fine!)

Fantastic experience: I brought in a stray who I am trying to rehome, that had a swollen leg. Dr. McMillan was FANTASTIC, listened to my concerns and provided excellent care for Betty. The nurse and receptionist were also lovely. I hope I don't have to visit the Urgent Vet again, but if I do, I am glad that Truss Vet is there.

Fantastic experience: First time at this Vet facility, which was recommended by my vet, and they were great from the time I walked in to the time I left. Took my cat there because she was constipated. They explained everything to me very well and gave there recommendations, and medication to use. My cat had her bowel movement this morning and is no longer in distress. Great professional Vet staff. I will see them again.

Fantastic experience: My daughter Rebekah took her 9 year old cat to their vet and she’s never been happier with a vet great service they handled her cat named kitten/handsome with absolutely care 10/10 great experience all around, dr.Strickland and desiray were great and talked my daughter through the whole process of what they would be doing to him so she wouldn’t be worried I definitely recommend! The photo is him just a couple hours later snuggled up with no more pain in his paw and eye drops in to help with the infection

Positive experience: Everybody was very pleasant and caring towards the animals. My dog had an ear infection which cost $371 (a bit high). Not to much for my little dogs ear pain. However, I had a 10:00 o'clock appointment and did not leave until 11:50. I spent most of the time waiting for the doctor. Yes, I would do anything for my dog and go back only in an emergency.

Fantastic experience: We were in town visiting our family and our 9 year old Labradoodle had a medical emergency. We’ve never taken our girl anywhere else besides our own hometown vet so we were extremely nervous and didn’t know what to expect. We called Truss Vet Urgent Care around 12 noon and we were given an appointment at 2:30pm the same day. Everyone at this practice was extremely nice, kind and welcoming. Our girl was diagnosed, treated and administered meds prior to leaving and she was feeling much better by the evening that same day! We got a text message the next day from them checking on her to see how she was doing. We were SO happy with the care she received, very impressed with the kindness, compassion, professionalism and care we received! Highly recommend, 10/10!

Fantastic experience: This is hands-down the best experience I have had, especially in an emergency situation. The staff greeted us before we could get inside and every one from receptionist to the vet herself, was warm, compassionate, and extremely professional. The office is in a great location, and is immaculate and inviting. My dog who is typically anxious in strange places, was even relaxed in this environment. The value for an urgent, unplanned visit is unmatched. I would encourage anyone who needs urgent/emergent vet care to visit this office.

Fantastic experience: So beyond grateful for the incredible care and compassion Ollie (my dog) and I were shown by everyone at Truss during our emergency visit. AJ, Emily, and Dr. McMillan went above and beyond in providing gentle, judgment free care and treatment. While I hope to never again *need* to visit, I would not hesitate to return if needed. Fantastic experience: We have brought our pets to Truss vet multiple times and could not be more pleased with a place for our pets. We have three cats and a dog so the chances are high we need urgent vet care and when we do, we absolutely bring them to Truss. The staff is kind and compassionate and they take extra care for it to be as pleasant of an experience for our pets. Our dog has some vet anxiety-induced reactivity, so we've always had a bit of caution bringing her anywhere. But the doctors and staff are so patient, gentle, and calm with her to alleviate any unnecessary stressors. They allow us to wait in the car until the visit starts and one of us take her back to the car once her exam is done, while the other parent waits for meds/check out. They take extra care to make sure all dogs and cats are safe and not exposed to other illnesses when they visit. When our dog was recently there for suspected kennel cough, they took extra measures to limit exposure including gowns, shoe covers, isolation, and cleaning after we left. The staff gives ample after care instructions and checks in to see how your pet is doing.The location in Durham is easy to get to and we have always had an easy time getting in for an appointment. Booking online ahead of time is very easy, but walk-ins are welcome. Honestly, we have been to other vet urgent cares and the experience is vastly different at Truss in a very positive way. Between the kind staff, through and efficient exam, and a very clean environment, I would only recommend Truss for urgent care needs.
