Fantastic experience: The caring of the Doctors and staff are amazing! Everyone works together in the care of your fur baby. Compliments to Dr. Campbell for his constant knowledge and compassion for being so helpful.

Positive experience: The vet and tech were wonderful but the front desk gals were far from friendly. Honestly they were rude especially the bleached blonde woman. It takes just a moment to greet with a smile and say we'll be with you in just a moment but that seemed to be too much for the three that were at the desk. They need some training in customer service.

Fantastic experience: We always have a great experience with AZ Animal Hospital. Our Yorkie loves everyone there, especially Dr. Marinich.

From spay, to tummy issues, allergies and any other needs; I have had nothing but great experiences even despite it being under stressful circumstances. Fantastic experience: My dog had an emergency right before the office was about to close on a Saturday morning. The staff stayed until we were able to rush him there and he received excellent care. Everyone was very kind and kept us calm in this stressful situation. He was treated successfully and is doing great. We are beyond grateful for Dr Brett and the team that helped him!

Fantastic experience: We have been taking our dogs to Arizona Animal Hospital for the past nine years, and with 10 dogs total—eight German Shorthaired Pointers and two very loved little mutts—that says everything you need to know. If there’s a situation a dog can get into, trust me… our Shorthairs have found it. Routine visits, weird injuries, full-blown emergencies—you name it, we’ve walked through those doors for it. And every single time, without fail, we are met with kindness, calm, and genuine care. The front-end staff is incredible. They are organized, compassionate, and never make you feel like “just another appointment.” Angela, in particular, is an absolute gem—warm, welcoming, and truly delightful. She makes stressful situations feel manageable the moment you walk in. The doctors are where this place truly shines. Dr. Brett, Dr. Campbell, and Dr. Marinich are the vets we see most often, and I cannot say enough good things about them. They are knowledgeable, thoughtful, and always willing to think outside the box. They listen. They take concerns seriously. They explain things clearly. They are never dismissive or rushed, and they genuinely care about both the animals and the people who love them. When you’re trusting someone with your pets—your family—that matters more than anything. Arizona Animal Hospital has been there for us in calm moments and in scary ones, and I can honestly say I don’t know what we’d do without them. Negative experience: This is a review regarding a health certificate for travel. I contacted this hospital two months ago and they told me to contact them back closer to my data travel and I did this. I’ve been in contact with him on and off. The employee stated that she was going on vacation and that she wasn’t sure if she was going to be able to do this Certificate this information came delight three weeks ago. This is after I was told by the same employee to contact them for the appointment As everything is super time sensitive, and there’s no room for error. Well, this is the information I got today. My trip is now in jeopardy. Careful planning means nothing when you have somebody that drops the ball (I lost it when she told me please don’t put this on me) and does not do as they say they’re going to do thanks Jennifer I hope you have a nice vacation. My three month trip to Europe just got totally messed up. I’m gonna cost me. And all you would’ve had to have done, was followed up on your correspondence with your information that you dropped on me today. GFY

Fantastic experience: It was very easy to make an appointment as a returning customer, and they had our pup’s old records still in their system. Appointment was without any wait, all vaccinations and tests were performed in gentle manner, without stressing our dog. Staff was very knowledgeable, and answered all of my questions. No pressure to push sales of unnecessary products or services. I’m so glad we returned to this place, even though it is not the nearest one from our new address.

The only thing that happened was my dog was about the last to get his teeth cleaned because he was young and I realize older animals need to go first. This meant he was probably in a cage and drugged for a long time. He was still really out-of-it when we brought him home.

Fantastic experience: Hands-down, one of the best vet experiences we have ever had!! We were referred to them by a dear friend and now we've found a new regular vet for our dog. We saw Liz and Dr. Brett (the vet--loved this!) Cordes of Arizona Animal Hospital, on an urgent basis for our dog who was experiencing pain. From beginning to end, everything was professional, warm and compassionate. Both Liz and Dr. Brett immediately sat on the floor with our dog while we discussed his symptoms and concerns. They were both completely engaged with our dog and us and answered all of our questions. We appreciated the options we were offered and felt they wanted the best for our dog. Such expertise and care! And the best surprise--we weren't charged an exorbitant amount for our urgent visit. The charge was beyond fair and so far below what we'd experienced at other emergency vets. We are looking forward to being Arizona Animal Hospital's newest client!!

Negative experience: Do not use this place. Whatever happens to your dog post anesthesia they take zero responsibility. They will release your pet and then tell you to take your pet to another er facility because they close at 5:00. They say they have compassion for your pets. Go someplace else!

Fantastic experience: Having growing doubts about our neighborhood Lovet, upon a friend's referral, I took my GoldenDoodle to Arizona Animal Hospital in Scottsdale where Dr. Campbell and his assistant demonstrated far greater competence and shared more thorough information. Dog health/wellness is not my strong suit so the education I received gave me information that will help me understand my dog's needs. I see no reason to remain with the other company (now owned by a large conglomerate - Aspen Group).

Fantastic experience: In followup of an emergency visit over the weekend to another facility we came in for an ultrasound and clinical evaluation of our older dog with GI bleeding. A complete exam, plan and instructions were given. I was very pleased with the treatment he received.

Fantastic experience: We had a fantastic, joyous experience with Dr Chetler and AZ Animal Hospital. We brought our very sick boy Louie in, thinking the worst, and Dr Chetler confidently, calmly and compassionately advised us that she thought Louie would benefit from an overnight hospital stay, fluids, meds and reeval. We have been bringing our two dogs there for years and to us, they are family. Today we had to let our dog Zona go and we drove 4 hours from Arivaca to Scottsdale because we knew Zona would be at ease in her final moments with the people that have cared so much for her over the years, instead of a random vet. I cannot say enough about AAH, and even if I could, the words wouldn'd do justice. Fantastic experience: Tessa's first visit was not without it's challenges. Tessa is a 1 1/2 yr rescue with anxiety issues. Vitit was scheduled for 9 am but she escaped from her harness before we got her in the car. AZ Animal Hospital was very understanding and we were able to get her in at 2pm. Dr. M was wonderful with her and both Tessa and I were much more relaxed. This is my go to Vet.

Fantastic experience: I have been taking my animals to the vet for over 35 years and by far, Arizona Animal Hospital has always given me the best care. I travel from East Mesa to go to Arizona Animal Hospital and here is why. During covid, my Border Collie who was sick got very sick and my regular vet would not make an exception to see my dog. Our rescue referred us to Arizona Animal Hospital. I call them around 8am and explained what was going on and they said bring him in, don't rush, but we will fit him in when you get here. I called 5 clinics around me, and no one would take us. Arizona Animal Hospital was very good at extending our dogs live another 8 months where he was not in pain or uncomfortable. Their treatment worked. This is the only clinic that I know that the doctor has a tech with them in the room at the same time. When we are asking questions about supplements, the tech was one step ahead of us on the computer getting us the information we need. Or when we were asking about past blood work, she had it on the screen and ready to print if we wanted a hard copy. Keep in mind, this excellent care from the doctor to the tech to the staff all comes from a great owner who also is very good at making sure we have all of our questions answered and gives us great advice on our border collie. This is only a few reasons why we travel from East Mesa to go to Arizona Animal Hospital.

Fantastic experience: Early one morning, I reached in my pocket and instead of the usual piece of kibble, inadvertently rewarded my Australian Shepherd, "Millie", with an extra-strength Excedrin (duh). A quick Google search confirmed the worst, "...extremely toxic, see a vet immediately." 40 minutes later we arrived at the clinic. Thank you Dr. Chetner, Ashley, Mike and Summer for your immediate response and caring professionalism! You have more than earned our grateful appreciation and customer loyalty. PS Millie is doing fine.

Negative experience: Bring your animals here at their own risk!! My sweet, healthy, and beautiful dog declined to hospice within 8 months from a simple tooth and cyst removal surgery there. I'm a disabled vet with severe PTSD, and she is my world. The daily pain and heartbreak of watching her decline so rapidly is unbearable. The cruelty from their hands makes all of these positive reviews too good to be true! My sweet dog can't be the only one affected. She can't speak up for herself, and now I'm compelled to bring awareness on her behalf in hopes it will help others. I trusted this facility, and dropped her off for surgery to have a couple broken teeth removed, along with a painful cyst on her right side while she was under. She never walked the same again. She had a brand new limp the very moment they brought her back to me. I rescued her 10 years ago and know how she walks by now. 4 separate vets stated that there is no other explanation for her sudden hock foot from severe nerve damage, other than her surgery there. They can't 100% prove it without an MRI, which was $6k for her situation. Further testing won't make a difference for her outcome, so there was no point in putting her thru that stress. I will do anything to help her, but the vet said I've done everything possible and then some. Objectively, the timing and coincidences cannot be denied. Her scar is next to her L5 vertebral space, and follows along where her vertebral femoral nerve innervated her leg. I included pictures showing her scar, and her damaged leg. This is where a doctor's expertise is important because unbeknownst to me at the time, the cyst should never have been removed. I truly believe a doctor never performed her surgery. We waited 6 weeks for that surgery. Looking back, the biggest red flag was that I never personally met the doctor who supposedly performed the procedures. I was told the doctor was performing an emergency surgery during both the dropoff and pickup times. I felt bad for the emergencies, and was relieved for my dog to have finally been treated for her broken teeth that day. Then I saw her brand new limp. I finally spoke to a doctor afterwards after playing phone tag for a couple weeks. The doc couldn't recall my dog, or her procedures. This struck me as odd because my dog has very distinct and unusual features, like her ears for example. As shown in her before and after pictures. The doc only answered my questions by reading the medical records that they never wrote in. They didn't write one entry into my dogs medical records. Not one. The facility denied everything of course, and even stated that they've 'never seen this happen with this breed before.' How can you say 'never' when you're practicing medicine? It's a practice for a reason! I suppose the one star is for the apology they gave us in person when I brought her back there demanding answers. In the meantime, she is not in pain over this thank goodness and I'll continue to ensure she smiles every single day. While feeding her by hand when she doesn't want to stand up. Again, bring your animals here at their own risk!!!

Fantastic experience: My dachsie had 6 teeth removed. I brush her teeth, but I know they do have teeth trouble. Everyone was so kind and upbeat. Billie Jean is doing well. Also, thank you for weighing both girls. Another issues with dachsies. Both gals were perfect. We came from vet with a vet with dirty facilities and poor vets. You are refreshing!

Negative experience: This used to be my “go to “place for my dogs and cats for the last eight years however they must be under new management or new owners now because they only care about money. They misdiagnosed pets and then don’t give you the right information and then don’t take accountability or responsibility for their mistakes and want to keep charging you. Like I said, I’ve been here for eight years. Going on nine years but I’m changing this place sucks now it’s a completely different staff than who I’m used to seeing.

Fantastic experience: Tequila is always treated with TLC at AAH. The staff is helpful with scheduling as we must go for blood testing on a regular basis. All employees are friendly and caring individuals!

Fantastic experience: My cat was having issues with vomiting and breathing issues. I called and was able to see Dr Johnson right away. Staff was efficient, kind and explained what was happening. Fantastic experience: My experience with AZ Animal Hospital was quite positive. My cat needed dental surgery, suffering from an abscess tooth as well as decay on a second one. Both were removed, and he was treated with care and loving kindness!

Fantastic experience: This Vet practice is excellent. They always get us in quickly to see Dr. Johnson who is very personable and can diagnose the issues quickly and accurately. We have been going to them for years and appreciate their team spirit.
