Fantastic experience: Staff are always welcoming and kind. Everything about this place is great, especially the care that they give to the pets. They were extremely careful as they handled pets and prices were reasonable.

Negative experience: Very unfortunate to have to give this review due to the lack of carelessness and refusal to provide my cat with a prescription for six months for the flea medication . Am asking for the six month due to trying to have it filled at Costco because I get a better price and they only offer 1 month or six months ( the better deal is the 6 months). All because my cat has her yearly exam due in late April . I have decided to no longer take my cat here . They obviously don’t care about my cat or my pocket.

Fantastic experience: I am completely indebted to the fine folks at TCAMC. This was our first visit to the clinic. I feel my two dogs received excellent, attentive care and assessment. But the HEROICS came at the end of our appointment, when one of my two dogs slipped his collar in the reception area (my fault alone), pushed his way through the front door and fled. I’m still not sure exactly how many staff members ran out with me to try and wrangle him — at least two — and THEY are the ones who saved his life that day. I can’t tell you how grateful I am to these wonderful employees who ran far and wide to stop traffic and safely herd my pooch back to the clinic! We will be returning the love with our loyal patronage of TCAMC for as long as we live in the area. Many, MANY THANKS!!!

Fantastic experience: First time and it was a lovely experience, my doggie was not as nervous as she usually is at the vet. They gave me a quote before doing any vaccines, testing, etc. Everyone was very nice! Pricing is about the same from my previous vet, on the med-high cost.

Fantastic experience: My Sparky passed away July 2024 but I just now have the courage to record a positive review of this animal medical center. I adopted my Sparky from the humane society and picked her up from this place after being spayed. NO issues with fleas or ticks thanks to the bravecto they recommended. My baby also had issues with Urinary tract infections, BUT the vets here recommended a specific diet which stopped this medical issue. Then my baby gained weight and was diagnosed with a collapsed tracheal that caused harsh, honking cough. The vets here did recommended some medications to calm the cough but stated the main solution was weight management, but my baby loved to pig out, so that is my fault. Then her eye sight gave out due to cataracts/glaucoma, but the option was expensive surgery with no guarantee of her eye sight restoring. In the end, old age got to my baby, when she refused to eat, and couldn't hold her bowel movements, I just brought her straight into the vet and ignored the front office request that I make an appointment. Dr. Barbara Dworak attended to my baby and provided me with the reality my baby's organ (I forgot the anatomy name) just gave up and her chances of survival were low. There were the expensive hospital options but Dr Dworak was very honest and empathetic. We were given plenty of time to be alone and say our goodbye to my Sparky before being put to rest. We were provided a warm blanket for her to rest in. THANK YOU Dr McClemons, Dworak, Teran, and Dr Henderson for helping my Sparky live a long healthy life!

Negative experience: My 2 pugs have been going there since early 2012 when they we 4 months old. My male pug was VERY sick after we picked him up from being boarded. I called 1st thing on a Monday morning and they said no appointment until Thursday. He would not have survived!! Went to Rolling Hills pet hospital for treatment. The doctor there couldn't believe their lack of empathy and loyalty. We will NEVER use them again!!! Joan K Manuel.

Fantastic experience: I have been taking my dogs and cat since 1996. I love the staff and Veterinarians because they care about our family pets, and have taken good care of our pets when they get I'll, etc. I trust them completely, especially Dr. Clemmons, Tina and Rosana.

Positive experience: I made an appointment on a Monday fir Wednesday. I rescued 2 cats and needed 1st time visits. I asked about cost and the person on the phone told me $100 for both cats. When i went to the appointment the financials guy told me i was mistaken they couldn’t give me that price and end up paying $275 for 1st time visits dewormer and one doce for a flea treatment. Guy said i probably called somewhere else and i was confused even tho i had an appointment there and they called to confirm. Staff is on a robotic mode. I explained a few times I rescue the cata from a query, I have no background. And they kept asking age, breed and aprox DOB. I never owned a cat so i had no idea and rudely said well you have to put something in the paper and that was the whole purpose of the visit so they can tell me since i had no idea. The Vet lady was supper nice, professional I will say the staff treats you like a number not like a customer

Positive experience: We absolutely Loved our veterinarian - Dr. Capianno - she was so friendly and informative. The receptionist can use a little work on her people skills. She remains consistently unfriendly and makes no eye contact or warm smile - only complaints. We have thought about transferring to the VCA on many occasions for this reason. Love your Job it’ll show.

I returned yesterday for dental cleaning and felt the same warmth and welcome as always for both my dog and for me. I trust their medical knowledge and gentle kindness completely. When I call to make an appointment, their sweet receptionist asks me which doctor I want, and I always say it doesn’t matter because I love them all equally❣️

Positive experience: My appointment for my dog was 9:00 a.m. We got there at 8:55. The receptionist acknowledged us. But then we sat for 20 minutes with nothing happening. Finally, I approached one of the 4 ladies on the front desk there to ask if my dog is going to be seen. It's only to clip his nails. Then he was taken in for the procedure. It took only 5 minutes. If I didn't ask for it, I don't know how long we will have to wait without being served.

The staff handled my dog’s spay surgery, rabies vaccination, and microchipping with the utmost professionalism and compassion. Fantastic experience: Staff was friendly over the phone and at front desk. I was able to book a same day appointment by luck due to a cancellation. Dr. D listened to my concern about my dog and went out of her way to look up something for me. She called back with bloodwork results promptly. Pricing is pretty typical; not too expensive, but not inexpensive either. I believe it’s $65 for an exam. They allow you to use Chewy for prescriptions. Plenty of room in waiting room, but parking can be hard to find during weekdays. They’re also open Saturdays which is convenient.

Fantastic experience: Dr.Barbara Dworak is amazing. She’s been seen my dog since I first got her. Every recommendation she has given me has helped her.

Fantastic experience: This vets office is kind, compassionate and fairly priced. My beagle was having back and neck pain for two weeks (we went to an urgent care prior to this visit). The care was very individualized, apparently steroids can work as pain relief for beagles. We’re a couple days later and she’s doing much better! They also were able to use the bloodwork from the urgent care which helped keep the cost low (I’m sure this can’t be the case for everyone as sometimes repeat blood work is necessary).

Positive experience: We took my german shepard to get checked for some rash on his belly and pits and the staff wanted us to lay him done, when in the past they've done it. I bring my dog to you guys to get checked not so I have to put him on his side. Other than that they are a good vet

Negative experience: I really liked this place until I got my cat neutered. I had no problem with my previous cat being spayed, but today, we took our male cat to get neutered and believed all would be well. Come to find out once we had gotten him and the carrier, he was actively bleeding . Before we had even left the facility, there was blood all over his cone and everywhere on/in his carrier plus blanket. This led us to take him to the ER, finding out his scrotum was really swollen and him having a high fever. Truly, the people who work here are great. They're nice and welcoming, but my cat shouldn't have had to bleed all over his carrier and be having a fever. I'd understand if it was a small amount of blood, but it was so much that the whole car we drove in smelt like iron. I don't understand how they could've handed him over to us without checking for this. His whole belly and legs were completely full of dried/still wet blood. I really hope this doesn't happen to anyone else in the future, but this is really unacceptable and disappointing. I'm sorry but I'm also not sorry. I will not be coming back here with my cats. Financially, we can afford it, but the stress and situation my cat has gone through after this one little mistake from them can not afford it. My husband and I are stressed out about this, but the stress our cat is feeling outweighs anything we are feeling. Please find any other place to go to. Again, people at the front desk are great and nice, but whatever led those in the back to not check for active bleeding before handing him over is not cool. I really had high hopes for this place, but I'll be taking my babies else where.

Negative experience: Very disappointed in the marketing. We brought our 2 new kittens in to get neutered and got convinced to sign up for a monthly service as it would be “cheaper”. It isn’t cheaper. They have a rule that if you want to cancel you have to pay for whatever they spent which was never quoted so they can just make up a $1500 charge. Pretty shady business practice. Then to make matters worse at the check up we are told they have fleas and we need to pay $100 for medicine. The kittens have never been outside or around any other animals for 12 weeks since they left their mom. They have never been scratching themselves then they leave the let and are scratching like crazy. Not sure what exactly happened but fairly confident they got fleas at the vet.

Positive experience: i have had two visits with this medical center. my first visit was an emergency because my 11 year old pup passed away. i needed to have him cremated. it was last minute and they took quick action to take care of me the same day he passed. was a sad day but they made the situation very easy for me. the staff was also caring and it showed. my second visit was march of 2025 with my new puppy for his first vet visit and nail clipping. so trust me i was very nervous since my pup has anxiety issues and not very trusting of anyone he comes around. all in all the whole experience went flawless. couldn’t have asked for more. highly recommended!! -john wolf

Fantastic experience: First time I've ever been to a Vet my whole life. Came to this one from google search and seeing some of the other good reviews so I took my chances. I stopped by, ask some info before getting my dog named Brownie some insurance and making an appointment and they where very helpful and informative. Finally I made an appointment online which is super easy. Arrive at this place and immediately they where welcoming. Took my information pretty quickly. Went to the Doctors office and the assistance was nice. Dr. Georgia McClemons came in and was very prompt, professional and friendly. It was my first time ever and I wasn't sure what I needed to get so they assisted me and now my dog is up to date with everything he needs. They did everything the same day pretty quickly. I'm super satisfied with this visit and this will now be my doggy's vet center. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I've been bringing my pet here for several years I take advantage of the shot clinics they have to offer prices are reduced on certain days and times. If you go early in the day the wait time isn't bad.

Positive experience: As a new customer ; I thought they handled my dog with care and team was friendly. I recommend them however I wasn’t impressed that I had to wait 30 mins over my allotted appointment.

Fantastic experience: I called to get my long haired kitty Jean a hygiene cut and trim her back legs. I got an appointment a couple days later. I got Jean in pretty quickly walked a few yards to the ATM came back and a very few minutes she was done. The staff is very friendly and professional. I’ve been coming here since the mid 90’s! They have always taken excellent care of my feline children!

Positive experience: Marisa and Kristina were so so sweet and reassuring. Will be coming back for sure. Only iffy thing was one of the office managers, wearing orange glasses i believe, came out to tell me my puppy two pound chihuahua bit her when giving her the shot she needed. Felt like a lecture and really unprofessional with the way she talked about it in an almost demeaning way. Luckily Kristina and Marisa made me feel comfortable in the end . Everyone was great other then the one manager.

Fantastic experience: My dog would not stop scratching/chewing at her back. I knew she needed to be seen in order to help obtain some relief. They were able to get her in same day. I was so thankful for the same day service. Staff is wonderful and extremely helpful. Dr was so good with my dog and ensured we got her the proper care. It’s been 24 hours and the scratching has stopped allowing her skin to finally heal.

Fantastic experience: I got my cat neutered here about a year ago. Due to the great service of my first visit, I came back to bring my cat for a wellness exam and vaccinations. I was nervous because my cat is a sweetheart at home but doesn’t do well with other people. Even though my cat was hissing and growling they were still being so patient with him. Dr. Dworak was amazing handling my cat. She took the time to give us some advice on his diet to prevent future health problems. My husband and I were really impressed with the whole service. We were worried because we didn’t know how well they would handle my cat’s behavior. The Front desk were very nice and the assistant that helped Dr. Dworak, was so sweet. Usually many people aren’t patient with my cat and are so fast to judge due to his behavior. That’s why it made me so happy how well they treated him. I will definitely come back for any more services my cat may need. This is a place you can trust! My cat means the world to me and seeing how well they did with him warmed my heart. Thank you for the lovely service.

Fantastic experience: Telegraph Canyon Animal Medical Center is the absolute best in the city! Dr. Mc Clemmons is so caring and knowledgable and gives the best advice. You cant go wring with any of the doctors at this facility. All of the vet techs and office staff go above and beyond to care for my pets. I wouldn’t take my babies anywhere else!

Negative experience: Very lengthy and unpleasant. I waited over an hour to get eyedrops for my dog for a simple eye infection. They wanted to sell me a corneal dye test for eye scratches. Having had this same issue in the past, and knowing how to resolve it is easy. Getting the meds and being charged for exams that came out to 100 dollars was not. Those eye drops cost $13.99 online. Im not sure how happy im supposed to be having waited over an hour to pay way more for meds that cost only 14 dollars. Do better next time. Respect peoples time. And stop ripping them off. I understand you have a business to run but charging these amounts for such simple medications is absurd. I thank Tina for getting me the appointment the same day but i will never come back. I felt upsold and ignored during my visit. Seems the vet is only trained to upsell, drug, cut, and bill. Sad and unpleasant experience.

Fantastic experience: Staff is fun & welcoming! And give so much love to all the animals that come in thru the doors. Been here three times now & haven’t had a single issue! Parking can be rough in this parking lot but I’m always in and out of there fast. So parking in a 30min parking spot is no issue.

Fantastic experience: Our visit was fast even though there were a lot of people in the office. The receptionist head 2 people ahead of us but was able to help us all without being reminded who came in first and that we were there. They were busy but excipient service.

Positive experience: I’ve been using this vet for over 10 yrs and am overall satisfied. Had a misdiagnosis of ringworm for my cat that and purchased meds $113 that weren’t necessary. Vets were confident in their misinformation and wanted me to start treatment before the lab results. Also very popular vet so average 2-3,weeks wait for appt. Overall staff is great and polite

Fantastic experience: I just wanted to pop in here and give praise to Christina at the front desk. I came in scared with my dog showing symptoms of injury and despite her having a lot on her plate (it was a busy day and there were no more appointments), she took the time to put me at ease and help me find the right resources. She went out of her way to show me and my dog extra kindness and I swear the interaction alone was healing not just for my dog but me too! She offered my dog a couple of yummy treats for the road and he loved them so much he won’t put them down (pictured). It was a relief to see him happy after all that. Fantastic experience: I recently visited Telegraph Canyon Animal Medical Center. I hadn't brought my furry friends to the Vet in 10 years, so I was a little nervous and apprehensive. But the veterinarian and staff were so caring and professional, I felt very comfortable bringing my 2 cats there for a wellness check. When I arrived, I was escorted to the exam room right away. My cats got an exam, shots and bloodwork. The next day, the Vet called me with the results. I would recommend TCAMC.

Fantastic experience: Staff is polite and professional. My experience was very good. My dog was spayed. She seems well cared for. I asked that her ears be cleaned while she was asleep and they look great. Two days out from the surgery, she is doing very well.

Fantastic experience: This was my first visit and I was impressed on multiple levels. The receptionist helped me bring both of my dogs into an examination room straight away so I didn’t have to worry about interactions with other dogs. Later I witnessed the receptionist being kind and generous with repeating directions to a distraught pet owner. Dr. Dwroak did a very thorough examination, more in-depth than any I have witnessed previously. She looked carefully at the records from previous veterinarians. She gave pro and con background for the offered services. I find the service here top notch and I am very grateful.

Fantastic experience: Reception was quick and easy, There was nearly no wait. Technicians did the prelims and Dr. Tehran did a full exam and became acquainted with my new cat. Technicians did immunizations and nail trim. Entire experience was totally professional and reasonably priced. I drive a long way to use Telegraph Canyon in preference to my local vets and it's well worth it.

Fantastic experience: Always enjoy our visits to Telegraph Canyon Animal Medical Center. The staff are always friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. After years of visits, you have that hometown feel where everyone knows each other. They are the only ones our dog feels at ease with. While our dog may hate his monthly gland expression visit, he lights up when he sees the staff and enjoys their affection toward him. They are like family!

Negative experience: Strange ... when I asked to speak with the vet after my cat's dental cleaning, the front office staff said I could leave a message, but the vet might not call me back. (We had concerns with our cat's nails being over trimmed and bloody - obviously by someone who didn't know what they were doing.) Not trying to be difficult, but we want to make sure other kitties don't suffer the same fate. I would HOPE the vets at this clinic would want direct feedback - unfiltered by the same staff members who may be making mistakes. Positive experience: The receptionist s were kind of rude and at the end of the day when I picked up my kitties my babies there was a male. I don't know who he was but he was very rude. I wanted to ask him some questions but he ignored me. He was very very rude. My kitties seem to okay, I was just hoping that mail individual did not perform the spay operation on them. He was very rude. Very very rude. The reception is try to ask him a question and he just blew her off because I needed at talk to him and he was very rude. Very very rude. Other than that my baby seemed to be okay. I'm just hoping that he did not perform to stay operation on them because that individual that male individual is very rude. Very very rude. I paid a lot of money. I wanted to ask him some questions but he was so rude. He ignored me and the receptionist. I think that individual should be removed from that position and be fired. That is my opinion. He is a very rude individual

She is kind and gentle with my small dog. Very knowledgeable, talks out load about what she is checking on him and what options we might want to consider. They don't push, or shame you about not doing the most expensive recommendation, or other things that we might want to do next. We have recommended several friends to them, and they have recommended their friends as well. Some of them are even up in Miramar area. This place is worth the time and effort!!!

Fantastic experience: I really love this clinic they don’t try to push services on me I don’t need. The veterinarian never makes us feel rushed. It’s never a bad idea to ask if the tests on the estimate will have any affect on the pets plan of treatment. Do they all need to be ran at once often the cheapest test will rule out the need for any others. Check in has always been on time. The employees are all very professional, friendly and helpful.

Fantastic experience: Even though they are a very busy place, they got my kitty in who had a urinary tract infection. I did a drop off and he was seen in between patients. Dr. McClemons called me with updates, the diagnosis, and treatment plan. Every time I have taken my cats here, the doctors and staff are very kind and helpful. They are truly the only animal clinic around here that I fully trust!
