Fantastic experience: I did not know how bad Maisie was itching untill I saw her red skin on her back and this was on a Sunday and they were gracious enough to let me bring her in for her Cytopoint shot that I should have made an appointment for earlier, anyway she is so relieved now ! I thank you so much!

Fantastic experience: I love this vet practice. Always great. Highly recommend! I take all 4 of my dogs to Foothill. They are so kind. They accept Care Credit which is great too. I will not go to any other vet.

Negative experience: I had a cat emergency a month ago and I hesitated writing this review. But, I do feel its necessary. The 2 stars is because my cat and myself were new patients they got me in right away for an emergency visit which I was so grateful. Once we were seen, the Dr. was nice and gave him antibiotics and pain meds because my cats fever was so high. They did a leukemia test on him which I wasn't really sure why they did that, he had no symptoms just a high fever. Anyways, as I was checking out, the gal told me to call the next day to let them know how he was doing. I thought this was weird cause usually vets do the follow up. I called anyways to let them know that he was still not well, they said give it a few more days and to give us a call. Again, not sure why I am having to do that, I am trying to take care of my sick cat. On top of this every time I did call, they didn't know who I was cause, they never entered the new patient form in the system. (which they told me) and I never received any receipt for my visit because of this. I then called on a Sunday asking for more pain meds for my cat cause he just wasn't perking back up and the pain meds they gave him made feel better, until it wore off. They gal said to me "The Dr that saw him isn't here" I said, "Another Dr can look at his file and prescribe it" She said "Ok I will put a note in" this was right when they opened, now we are approaching almost 4pm and have yet hear back. I called to find out what the hold up was and the gal told me "The Dr doesn't check notes until end of day" I found this really upsetting to me, I have never heard of a vet waiting till end of day to check notes for medications for sick animals. I then finally received a texted Monday around 11am that meds were ready. I had my wife go pick them up cause I had to work and she calls me saying that there were only 2 pills in there. So I guess that takes over 24 hours to fill 2 pills? Here we are a month later and I have never received a follow up phone call, text or email from them. I will not be taking my cat back there ever again. My advice to this vet is do better.

Fantastic experience: Excellent facility, and customer service. My pug loves this place because he thinks it's a building full of treats. Reasonable prices and there's online pharmacy too.

Fantastic experience: Brought in 6yr old Goldendoodle for fatty cyst to be tested again. Vet was very understanding and empathetic for our worry for our beloved dog Lolli. She advised that we could either have it removed or keep an eye on it to see if it grows bigger. Very relieved!

Fantastic experience: This is by far the best veterinary hospital I've ever been to with my fur babies. I can't say enough about how safe I feel giving my babies to Foothill Farms to care for. We always get in the same day if there's an urgent concern and I know they will do a thorough exam before treating. They have been there for the passing of my last fur baby, and they care for my fur babies still. They genuinely care for animals and it shows. My babies won't get close to anyone who isn't genuine about caring for them, and I've walked out of previous vets for just that reason. I listen to my babies, I think they have better instincts then I do about these things. I'm truly grateful for the full team at Foothill Farms, from start to finish they are amazing! If you love your pets, I highly recommend bringing them to Foothill Farms.

Fantastic experience: We came in as an emergency visit as our older Labrador was behaving in a concerning manner. They not only got us in within the hour I called, but did a thorough exam. Our dog turned out to be fine, and the doctor was very patient and informative.

Fantastic experience: I had been taking my lab to foothill farms veterinary hospital for the last 2 years of his life and had great experiences with the staff and all the veterinarians we saw. I recently adopted a dog and was impressed with the level of care the vet tech, and veterinarian provided. They both showed my new pup a lot of love and provided me with a lot of guidance on how to have a successful transition for our doggie into our home. My dog needed a heart worm test and they used whip cream to distract her, my pup love it so much she did not notice the blood draw! They totally catered her care based on her personality and needs. I feel confident that my dog will be happy to go back to the Vet!

Fantastic experience: I had to leave a review based on my experience today. I booked a last-minute appointment because I was concerned my adventure baby’s paw might be infected. I’m also new to Sacramento, having recently moved here from Utah, so I truly appreciated how welcoming and supportive the entire team was. They were so patient while I looked for his records as I was not prepared. They were very understanding! The staff was incredible especially Dr. Watson and the technician who assisted me and Budda. They listened attentively, showed genuine care, and you can tell they truly love animals and are passionate about what they do. If I could give more than five stars, I absolutely would. I also loved how Dr. Watson took the time to educate me about the area, especially since I do a lot of hiking, and gave me helpful advice on how to keep my baby safe. Fantastic experience: Our dog, Penny, needed to changing her eating regimen, so we reached out to Foothill Farms and got connected to Dr. Barragan, who put together a homemade recipe specifically designed for Penny. Although we've had to adjust the original recipe somewhat, the overall result is a positive one! Penny is eating better than ever before and problems she's had with loose stools and flatulence have subsided. I would recommend a nutritional consultation with Dr. Barragan at Foothill Farms for any pet guardians who want to keep their animals healthy by improving their diets.

Fantastic experience: I had a really great experience . From the moment we arrived, it was clear that they truly care about the animals they treat. The vet tech got down to my dog’s level, gave him pets and treats, and talked to him in such a kind, calm way — it put both of us at ease. They treated him (and I) with respect and patience and took the time to really connect with him. He was given a very thorough exam, and I didnt felt rushed. They encouraged me to ask questions, actually listened to my concerns, and made me feel like they truly cared about my dog’s well-being. Fantastic experience: Had my dog was having issues with some stomach pain and not acting like he normally does and the Dr was very nice and she discussed the different options I had and what would probably be a good choice for treatment and so far it's working, I'm very thankful for their help, whole staff is very helpful and friendly and trying to help me keep my bill down

Fantastic experience: I can not thank Foothill Farms Vet hospital enough for taking care of our baby. Our cat is not good at the vet and the handled her really well and made the process super easy. Our cat hasn't been to the vet in 12 years and they didn't make us feel humiliated by it and were super understanding and helpful given our financial situation. Dr. Abney was incredible and I now will take her in more regularly knowing who our care provider will be is compassionate and has our animals best interest at heart

Fantastic experience: Staff is awesome and my boy loves his visits with Dr. Malek. The acupuncture sessions have helped him through 2 bouts with Lymphoma and kept the chemo side effects at an amazing minimum. Can't say enough good things about FOOTHILL FARMS and highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: This year marks 24 years since I moved to Sacramento. My first two dogs were wild and crazy so-called "bully-breeds". The first 2 veterinary clinics I went to, didn't even want to touch them, even with muzzles on. Thankfully, I found Dr. Marc Malek at Foothill Veterinary Hospital. When he says they are fear-free, he means it. Two new dogs later, and we are still there. And, compared to many of my friend's veterinary bills, my costs at Foothill Veterinary Hospital look very reasonable. The entire staff is caring, knowledgeable, and kind. They go above and beyond to make us all comfortable there. We are deeply grateful

Negative experience: Make sure you check your invoice because they will over charge you. They give you one quote over the phone and in person they say otherwise. Do not recommend this vet

Fantastic experience: Lil Bit says they always take such good care of me. I even have happy tail when I go there and I sit and wait my turn just like a big girl! I sit still on the table for them in the exam room and then I patiently wait for them to bring me my medicine! Beautiful big and clean clinic with extremely friendly staff and vets of all shapes and sizes and personalities to be able to fit any animals needs.

Fantastic experience: Both my wife and I thought THIS review needed to be written. Yesterday was one of the toughest days in any pet owners life. We had to have our 11 yr old assisted in crossing the rainbow bridge. The staff at Foothill Farms could not have been any better at providing the compassion needed in our time of need. They have been with us from the puppy visits, up to the final breath. To say that they went over and above would be an understatement. As an owner of well over 15 dogs in my lifetime. I have been there with every single one of my animals and this was the first time with this vet. To say that the process/procedures taken by the staff here was over and above, would be a disservice. This was the most peaceful transition of ANY animal I have had the unfourtnate need to have accomplished. TO ALL of the staff here - Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Fantastic experience: If I could give this place 10 stars I would. Dr Carney took such good care of my Bo. She listened to ALL my concerns and answered all my questions . Didn’t give false hopes or promises and was just so caring. They also were able to get me in for an appointment within a more than a reasonable time frame. I didn’t wait long at all for my appointment. And the staff was very communicative through all the processes. I look so forward to bringing any of my pets here from now on because I know they care so much.

Fantastic experience: I love Foothill Farms Vet Hospital. They always manage to fit me in when I have an emergency. They're also great about communicating annual needs. They're prompt in refilling medication refills from Chewy. Their whole staff is amazing. They're all so friendly and gentle, and they all take their time with my girls that are anxious. I was very upset when my previous vet retired, but I'm so glad I found this place for my girls.

Fantastic experience: The front desk was able to get me an " urgent " appointment the same day. Dr. Hirano was very gentle, extremely thorough trying to determine why my cat was holding his paw up and limping on occasion.

Negative experience: I had my new dog Xetzabel seen by Holly Abney back in early July and I still feel insulted. She's one of those that doesn't like people, only pets. I went there to have Xetza checked out before a move and one of the things I wanted to address was this grinding sound my dog's jaw makes pretty much all the time. Dr. Abney considered the question rather foolish and chose not to respond. Additionally, Xetza also has a skin cancer spot that the former owners had known about for over 10 years and chose not to treat. The picture that Dr. Abney painted about how the skin cancer spreads was rather bleak as well. I attempted to attach a very short video of Xetza's grinding noice, but it exceeds the file size so I wasn't able to include it. P.S. I love Foothill Farms and especially Dr. Hirano. She is an absolute angel, but I would avoid Dr. Abney if you need to interface with the doctor in any capacity. No shade on Foothill Farms though. I will always recommend this vet clinic because of it's awesomeness. One bad apple shouldn't ruin the entire practice :^)

Fantastic experience: I had such an amazing experience here. We have had a complicated situation with our beautiful Roxy's leg that was broken a few months ago. She had been under the care of prev vet, and I started to get the feeling she was not getting the best care there. I went on the search for another vet, and someone recommended Foothill Farms. Right away the doctor was so kind, and very understanding. Roxy was also drawn to her, and gave her lots of kisses. The doctor was very honest with us. Which I truly appreciate. They really worked with us with the price as well. This will be our permanent vet, and will always recommended them. Thank you so much for providing Roxy with top of the line care.

Fantastic experience: Our Chihuahua Jake ( 23 years)reached the end of his life today. I called and was told to bring him in now. I just can't thank the staff and Dr.Carney enough for the genuine compassion we were shown. While our hearts are broken and our house is too quiet, we are comforted by the knowledge our sweet boy is at peace. Thank you all so much for your compassion.

Fantastic experience: I had planned to take my puppy to a different vet closer to my house, but he has developed a strange bump on his eye that seemed to be getting worse, so I had to call around everywhere to see who would be able to look at him (it was a Sunday, of course). Foothill farms made it work for me to get there in the next 20 minutes, and I never looked back. Prices are very reasonable, they're open every day of the week, and are extremely friendly. Lucky to have found them.

Fantastic experience: I am always so satisfied with the way the team treats my cat and anytime I go to see a doctor. I believe any of the doctors there would be more than capable of caring for my pet. I often see the doctor who founded the hospital and he is wonderful. This is a great place, trustworthy and clean with compassionate staff who are knowledgeable. I would not want to have to go anywhere else!

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love all the people that work here. Everyone is so welcoming and understanding. I have a GSD working dog and he can be a bit of a handful at times. But they have been so accommodating about what is the best way to work with him. He has progressed from having to be muzzled and taken in the back to now needing no muzzle, has no reactivity, hangs out with me during appointments, and has no issues with anyone. I am so grateful for their willingness to support me and my boy with his training needs to get him to a much better place. They are also incredibly knowledgeable and will explain the different options you can go with for your pets care. I would definitely recommend taking your pets here for their health care needs.

Fantastic experience: They are the absolute best My puppy had an allergic reaction to a vaccine and the vet cared for her in her office until she was sure she was okay. The vet assistant was my absolute favorite so funny and sweet. Every time we come its a great experience and I trust them 100 percent with both my girls

Fantastic experience: Kind, professional, thorough care for all of my animals, always! Also they can almost always get you in within a couple days of you needing an appointment.

Negative experience: I brought my cats here several times now the last cat I brought for shots. They ended up doing the shots in four separate sets instead of two sets, like my last three cats essentially charging me for more office visits than I needed. The tech agreed with me and told me she didn’t understand why they did it like that and was willing to waive one tech fee Of those four sets of shots… On the last set of shots when I came in for the appointment, I mentioned my cat’s ear was looking a little dirty and he’d been messing with it if they could please take a look and let me know if it was something that needed medicine and the lady helping me who was taking him in the back for the shots told me no I’d have to make an appointment and they were not even willing to look at his ear. This definitely bothered me deeply. I will be looking for a new vet in the near future you couldn’t take two seconds out of your time to peek in his ear because you didn’t care About my cat and only cared about me making another appointment so that you could make money off another office visit.

Fantastic experience: Brought my Dachshund in for accupuncture and the staff was so very friendly. We weren't kep waiting, and were taken to a terrific room setup just for holistic pet care. The Dr. was very compasionate about our little girls back issues, and we just can't say enough kind things about our Dr. and Foothill Farms. So far the treatment has shown a noticeable difference in our dogs ability to walk!

Fantastic experience: I called to get an appointment for my dog as she fell and knocked a tooth loose, and they got my dog in the same day. They treated her and made sure she was comfortable with pain meds until I can get her back in for a dental appointment. They recognized an eye issue and treated that as well. The staff was kind and attentive. They called me the next day to see how my dog was doing. The price was reasonable too! I highly recommend this veterinary clinic.

Fantastic experience: I called the vet as soon as they opened because I suspected my dog was very sick and had a serious condition and they were able to see him! I am beyond thankful and grateful they were able to see him same day. The vet tech Angie (sorry if I spelled it wrong) and Dr Letty were absolutely amazing! I learned so many new things about my dog too and I am just so beyond thankful they were able to see him! Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough good things about Foothill Farms Veterinary Clinic. I started going there with my elderly dog when he became sick, and from the very first visit, the entire team showed genuine care and compassion. They treated my sweet boy like he was their own. They took the time to explain everything to me, never rushed our visits, and always made sure he was as comfortable as possible. When his health declined, they continued to support us through every step. Losing him was heartbreaking, but I’ll always be grateful for the love and respect they showed both of us.

Fantastic experience: "Dr. Letty" (Obledo) was wonderful, as was vet tech, Ericka. I brought my blue rescue dobe in for skin and coat issues and we received great care and attention. Their facilities are wonderful and not only was the problem addressed, but we were treated very kindly. The entire staff does a great job and I love that they are open on weekends so I don't have to miss work to take care of my dog's medical needs. A very special thanks to everyone.

My 11 year old dog is going to require surgery and this is the first vet I’ve gone to that performs a complete work up prior to surgery. That is comforting considering the age of my loved little dog. Dr Marc is patient and always asks if I understand or have more questions. The staff is equally as good and so helpful. Put you trust in this vet hospital and you will not be disappointed. Fantastic experience: 10 out of 10 if I could. Can’t say how much I love the staff and Vets here. Love the care that they give my boys.

Negative experience: Cat and told it would be $2000 for dental extractions and gingivitis etc. Took her elsewhere and paid $400 as was nothing to extract, she had 3 teeth left, and no gingivitis. Not feeling confident here.

Fantastic experience: Great service, great Staff, great hours and a love of animals. I highly recommend this office.

Fantastic experience: The staff here is so wonderful. The doctors and nurses have always taken such great care of my dog. When my dog got injured and we needed an appointment quickly, they squeezed us in on a weekend. The office is clean and comfortable. They really seem to love animals! The way I know this is a good place is because when we pull into the parking lot, my dog gets super excited and can't wait to run inside. She actually likes going to the vet now!

Fantastic experience: Everyone from the receptionists to the vet techs to the docs.. all super accommodating, really compassionate about your pets, and all come together to provide top notch support. Couldn't be happier.

Fantastic experience: This clinic has always been incredibly helpful getting me support as soon as I need it with my baby boy Kevin . Always great prices and great at giving different prices options based on what you are looking for. Our last visit was a routine shot visit we showed up a little early they were able to get us in quickly took him back for what he needed and got us out within 20 minutes I was home by the time my appointment was supposed to start! The staff love my boy here and always comment on how much of a ladies man he is lol ! Overall wonderful experience here !

Fantastic experience: Vet was very knowledgeable. Understood my pet’s health needs. Was costly but do you put a price on your friend’s life? I do not. I do recommend this Foothill Farms Veterinary Hospital for your pet ‘s custom food needs?

Fantastic experience: Dr. Carney was awesome with our nervous pup. The tech who helped was great as well(didn’t get her name). They “check you out” with the service fee and any med fees, as well and set up follow up appts, all in the exam room, which is so convenient and keeps dogs and owners from having to mix too much in the lobby. Great for People with nervous dogs or big protective dogs (we have a malinois as well).

Fantastic experience: This was my third visit to Foothill farms Veterinary Hospital and I was very impressed with both the doctor and staff. They were very considerate, helpful and very accommodating in understanding my need for special consideration regarding my newly acquired 7 year old dog. They will be Hazel's permanent vet for the rest of her life.

Fantastic experience: I love this vet and the staff. Everytime I bring my Pom pack in they treat us like family. Dr. Abney is my favorite vet and she sincerely cares about the well being of my children. Thank you Foothill Farms!

Fantastic experience: When I called to make The appointment they were all booked up yet. They told me they would call me if somebody canceled. I made an appointment as a back up. Arriving the staff was so kind everyone was just smiling talking wonderful the doctor was great. Explained everything to me in non-medical terms and I just had the best visit and the best vibe so. So now Foothill Farms, will be not only the vet for my dog, but for my mother’s dog also I have nothing but nice wonderful professional things to say about everybody.

Fantastic experience: The other day I went to FFVH thinking I had a vaccine appt. for my dog, but it turned out it was with my old vet who hadn't completely shared info with them. Mostly all my fault, but the people at their office went out of their way to give my dog the vaccine anyway in less than 10 minutes. Amazingly excellent service. I highly recommend them!

Fantastic experience: I brought my cat Molly in for her first wellness check visit with Foothill Farms Vet. The staff was very courteous and kind and the facility is clean, warm snd welcoming. Dr. Malek was so gentle, attentive and sensitive to Molly and was patient with me and answered all my questions. He was honest about my cat’s future care and didn’t try to upsell on services. I’m very happy with my experience and will definitely be back and I’m looking forward to a long and rewarding relationship with Foothill Farms. I recommend very highly!
