Fantastic experience: We are so grateful. Southside Animal Clinic always manage to fit Izzy in, even at the last minute, and the techs know her by name. At 18 years old, we know our time with her is short, but they go above and beyond to help prolong her life and give her the special attention she needs. Their compassion and support mean everything to us.

Fantastic experience: We have been going for years and we take our 4 dogs! They are always so kind and informative and accommodating to all of our dogs needs. Always try to do the best they can to squeeze us in for a last minute appointment.

Fantastic experience: I wanted to show some appreciation to the lovely women at Southside Animal Hospital For helping me out, it is amazing to come across a veterinarian who understands care of both people and animals! They helped me out and didn’t force me to bring my dog in when all I needed was a few syringes to administer my dog her insulin. They were helpful and before they could figure out if they had them, one of the women at the front started calling other clinics to see if they had them. I am so very appreciative of their actions and if I was in the market for a vet in the Corpus Christi area, I wouldn’t hesitate to take my dog’s business to them.

Fantastic experience: This is the 3rd Vet Care place I've visited in Corpus Christi with my pup Akati. Neither of the first 2 was in a hurry to provide care for my pup close to the appointment time. Both seemed to take joy in having you wait first in the waiting room and then in the exam room. South Side is definitely a different place. Very friendly and professional with minimal waiting. First time in a long time I enjoyed taking my pup to the Vet.

Negative experience: I’m not sure what’s going on with one of the receptionists at South Side, but one in particular seems to be getting more and more rude to clients and people calling for records. You can tell she’s upset and short tempered and angry all the time now, and there really is no excuse because you need to suck it up when you are in the line of customer service. I’m not going to blast her name, but she knows who she is. Rude and condescending and South Side needs to pull the calls, and listen to her calls because she’d get instantly terminated if they knew how rude she was getting. Like a viper. You may hate your job, but don’t take it out on us that are only trying to do our jobs, don’t be sassy to customers - which we have had tell our company they were leaving and considering going to new vets because of this 1 lady’s comments. Jobs can be tough, but your problems are not ours.

Fantastic experience: The most empathetic vet office I’ve ever been to. We were facing an 8,000 dollar surgery fee with the emergency vet and southside hospital did it for 1250. I am overwhelmed with the compassion and respect I received for my little pup. I watched a vet tech sit down with an elderly woman and pick up her small dog with one arm and help her walk to the back room with her other arm. These simple acts are not required, they come from the heart. We will definitely be back because of the kindness and compassion we were shown and visualized. Thank you so much for saving my little pup.

Fantastic experience: Always have a great experience. My dog loves going to 2 places … Southside Animal Hospital and the groomers. I think all the treats he gets at both is a factor, but if he’s happy, I’m happy. :)

Fantastic experience: I have been taking my pets here for over 15 years. They are understanding and caring.

Negative experience: Took 2-3 hours to get a single shot. 62 dollars to get weighed and to get my cats tempature checked. Another $38 for the shot. I didn't even ask for them to give them a check up, I just wanted the rabies shot. Usually a very good place, don't know what happened.

Fantastic experience: They got us in for a quick lab draw on short notice and happily sent results to our home vet. We really appreciate the willingness to help as it’s difficult to find a decent vet these days. We’ll definitely be back and recommend to anyone in the corpus area! Everyone was friendly and kind at the front desk and over the phone as well.

Fantastic experience: I have brought my fur babies to Southside for almost 30 years. They are very popular because they are so good and at times are too busy to see them the same day. That has only happened once when we felt like it was urgent but they gave us an emergency vet number and they took care of her.it Overall, we have been very satisfied. As far as attitude and compassion, they excel. Yes, it can be expensive, but they (pets) are worth every penny. Thank you for taking care of our furry children!

Positive experience: Have not had the best experiences here. I have taken two dogs here over the years and the last dog I had I was met with attitude with the vet discussing an anxiety problem. I would say it’s better to ask questions before assumptions are made. Wish the vet was more caring and less judgmental. There are a lot of more helpful vets in the area that I would pick before coming back here. Front desk staff was very kind and welcoming though.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to South Side Animal Hospital since 1990. In those 35 years they have helped me to love many many cats. When I needed to say goodbye to some, they were compassionate and supportive. It's never easy to make that decision, but they always helped me to see that it is a blessing for a sick animal to not have to suffer. I predict I will continue to be a mom to fur babies as long as the Great Lord gives me life. He put a lot of love in my heart for kitties. I will continue to recommend South Side Animal Hospital for great care.

Fantastic experience: Good morning, I can’t say enough good things about Southside Animal Hospital. They are very professional and always kind.I’m a senior and they’ve even offered to help get my dog in for her appointment. I believe they go above and beyond what a lot of other facilities do. The facility is very clean and well kept, which means a lot.

Fantastic experience: May change it later but as of right this minute not super happy. Been here since 9:52 as a walk in appointments preferred and I do understand that. But if you are gonna charge the owners of sick animals an extra $15.00 to sit and wait for hours on end. Than making more effort to get them in would be wiser. Instead of saying it will be an hour and hour goes by it will be another hour etc.. this is ridiculous... Boy I hope the vet is a great vet after this drama 7 yrs later I am still at this vet. They are so much better. Dr Moore Sr is amazing. My dog that is scared of any vets office seems to like him more than any other vet. They allow me to bring him in a couple days early to give him time to get used to being around the office so that he isn't as scared when we go in for his appointment. High strung dogs are never fun at the vet. But when they are more familiar and it's a fun visit.

Fantastic experience: We are visiting the area and called around for a vet to help us, and Southside got us in the next day! They treated our dog and we were in and out in under 30 minutes. Really bent over backwards to fit us in and put us at ease once we knew what our dog had going on.

Fantastic experience: Polite, caring staff. The vet remembered my fur baby & was scratching & petting her to make her comfortable. Answered my questions with patience. Overall a good visit, as usual.

Negative experience: They would rather have your animal suffer than approve a 3rd party request for a prescurption refill. Southside animal hospital will deny the request if you don't let them charge you to weigh your dog again.

Negative experience: I lived in Corpus for 27 years, I have a Silver Lab that is 7 years old now. He was losing his hair. All the Vets there said it was his breed, nothing that they can do. We have moved to the Hill Country a year and a half ago. I found a new Vet. She said, the first thing I want to do is blood work. She came back and said that his Thyroid is off, I want to put him on Medication, twice a day. A month later, his hair is completely back and more healthy than ever. She is a Texas A&M graduate .Gig’em for not not taking is the easy way out. We have a healthy, happy Silver Lab again.

Positive experience: Great customer service, vet was very nice. They just try to upsell you too much. Can, unfortunately, barely afford his routine care. He was sick this time, so he needed to be checked out. (I'm actually the dog owners sis and I was with them)

Negative experience: Check the clinical summaries of your pets. Apparently the staff think it is appropriate to put their personal opinions of customers in a professional document. We were customers for several years and I have to say I am shocked and disgusted that I find out how you view us in our pet's clinical summary. Your front desk staff should be ashamed of themselves.

Fantastic experience: Awhile back, back on October 5 I had called the office to see if I could possibly bring my dog in because she wasn't doing well... The receptionist said they were booked until Monday... I was upset and so I hung up... I called around but no vet answered or about the same... On October 6 my Anya passed away in my arms... I was so upset that I posted a review that wasn't nice... Then, today in church, I realized it wasn't the receptionist's fault, the vets fault or my fault... It was her time to go.. and I guess I wanted to blame someone, anyone back then... Which was very selfish of me... So I apologize to this veterinarian clinic... You always treated my dogs with great care in the past... I have Junior left now and he is my focus.. once again my apologies... And I hope this doesn't affect my future with y'all, if it does I understand..

Fantastic experience: My sister recommended me to this clinic. I appreciate the level of care for my girl and how they didn't do any unnecessary tests on her just to collect more money. I felt like she was cared for and I would definitely recommend this clinic to my friends and family. The techs were very sweet and personable and they even let one of the office cats stay in the room prior to my dog's exam because they were very interested in each other and she stayed calmer with her in the room. Highly recommend!

The only downside is it's best to call and make an appointment because their online appointment app isnt user friendly and doesnt track your appointments unless it's the required vaccinations.

Fantastic experience: It was the first time I took my dog and cat for a rabies vaccination and flea treatment and they were very kind with good customer service. They use an app to make your pets profile and to make appointments and it was very user friendly and super easy. We came in for our appointment and were checked in right away with no wait. Anthony was very helpful giving us the different types and prices for medication which I appreciated very much.

Negative experience: Took my dog to the vet. They refused to see him. Said we had never been there. Doc came out and gave my dog an ugly look. Didn't think I saw you Doc, did you? We've taken our dog there since he was born Doc. He needed your help and you refused. Even lied about him never being there. Are his shot records fake Doc? Had to get medication from a different Vet.

Called around for pricing for the services I needed and they were the best in town. I will now start bringing my pets here from on. I left from there very pleased. :D

Negative experience: Vet performed procedures without discussing the cost and folllow up of them. Went in for $40 pill and walked out with over $300 in vet bills. Not professional at all and if I had known it was a corporate owned business I would not have used them.

Fantastic experience: Southside Animal is always very welcoming. On this past visit I didn’t realize I was an hour early for my appointment and they never said a word just took me onto a room and Dr Moore and two techs were in there. They assessed Buddy’s issue and had me on my way in less than 30 minutes. When I got into the car I realized I showed up at 11:45 instead of 12;45. My scheduled appointment was for 1PM. I called back to thank them and apologize for having looked at the clock incorrectly. Their care of my pet is always above reproach and their consideration of me was phenomenal.
