Fantastic experience: I called ahead to make sure my Maltipoo could be seen as it was a Saturday and she seemed to be in a lot of pain. They answered immediately and assured me to bring her. When I arrived I just filled out basic paperwork and was brought in right away. They assessed her and then doctor looked at her, he explained what he determined necessary to be done to figure out what was wrong with her. I was given a cost with the break down first, before proceeding. The doctor and staff were amazing at this animal clinic. We left with her medication and thorough explanation on administering her meds. I had just gotten home when the doctor himself called to go over the findings of the X-ray and the next steps. My baby girl with the help of the meds already looks much better. I highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Palmetto Animal Clinic has been my dogs medical care center for more than 15 years. First they saved my dog form a parvor virus after a failed diagnostic with another vet; and that’s how I stayed forever with them. Dr Oliver is the best and the staff are amazing. Today I had to put my baby Blacky (15 years old) to sleep . The empathy, compassion, support went beyond. Martica( staff) her words felt like I was talking with my mom. I’m so grateful with them because they made this painful moment warmest, supportive and familiar. Thank you so much for all you did for my baby, and I Highly suggest this Vet clinic for your pet, they will treat you as family.❤️

Negative experience: Buyer beware. MY CAT IS DEAD! after bringing it to this vet for a random check up. I brought my elderly cat in, just for a check up. The Dr. Asked me if I was a Dr, before charging me $1,000 for an exam, only to be told after that they could not help my pet, and I would need to take my pet to a different vet or emergency room, over 20 miles away from this location, to see a specialist, that they also mentioned half the test's they charged me for, they would need to perform again at my own expense. They even tried to nail me for another costly test, but could not guarantee my pet would survive it, and to take my pet to this place where it could possibly survive that particular examination. I asked to have the basics done, nails and an ear cleaning, only to have non of that done for the grand I spent, but sent me home with instructions on how to do it myself. After picking up my pet from this vet with no visible ailments prior to bringing him in,, they gave him some kind of injection, and said "oh, he will be uncomfortable for a while with this shot" that i didnt ask for or authorize, i could see the look in his face after this injection and it was awful, he looked like he was in so much discomfort. something that gave him diarrhea for almost 3 weeks straight, when he was perfectly fine before bringing him in, then charges me for more medicine, to eliminate the ailments they caused my pet to have. I've had to clean diarrhea up everywhere, all over my house and bed, I never felt more like a lollipop then when walking into this new vet. My cat was dead within 2 weeks of their "treatment" All they did was try to protect themselves legally rather than try to assist me and my pet. Well, my pet is dead, they wouldn't refund my money, and had the audacity to try to defend themselves with lies in their response. To top all of this off, when I came to leave this review, I found a fraudulent review already posted by me? That I never made. Please see image attached. At the end of the day, I did not see any tests performed only charged me for, and I picked up my cat sicker then I assumed he was before bringing him in. Don't be distracted by the razzle dazzle, ask all your questions before being charged.

Fantastic experience: I just got back from another appointment with my pet, and I can honestly say that after more than a year, Palmetto Animal Clinic continues to be amazing in the most consistent way. Scheduling an appointment is always smooth thanks to Anna, and Ozzy at the front desk is super kind and welcoming. The clinic is clean and everything is in its place. Alannis takes such great initial care of my pet, always gentle, patient, and loving. Dr. Oliver does an excellent job; you can truly tell how much he loves animals. And of course, Lola, the lovely four-paws nurse :). I absolutely adore her! Congratulations to the whole team, such wonderful synergy and teamwork.

Fantastic experience: I had such a great experience at this vet’s office. The office was very clean, organized, and the wait time was short, which I truly appreciated. A special shoutout to Dave, the nurse, who was extremely wonderful—kind, attentive, and truly caring. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does, and his compassion made a huge difference for both me and my babies. The front desk staff was also amazing, friendly, professional, and very efficient from start to finish. The doctor took his time to explain everything thoroughly, answered all of my questions, and made sure my babies were well taken care of. I never felt rushed and felt completely confident in the care they received. Highly recommend this office! excellent staff, great care, and a wonderful overall experience.

Fantastic experience: They really care for animals at this clinic. Someone dropped a bunch of kittens off at their doorstep and they tried their best to give these animals loving homes and even though they were still bottle fed. Most places kill little babies that need foster care, but the people who worked here didn't. They have very big hearts. Me and my partner were one of the people who adopted...Her name is Pepper and she is now 3 months old. Thanks to you guys, a little soul gets to live out her life. If you have an animal you really care about and needs help, take them here and they will be surrounded by incredible people.

Positive experience: Overpriced The staff is very nice!!! But the prices are extremely high. We came with our cat just to get a simple passport stamp — something that usually costs around $50 (our cat travels around the world, so we do this often). At this clinic, the bill was $142 for the same service.

Fantastic experience: The entire staff is amazing! My dog was diagnosed with arthritis by another vet, but I noticed that she was getting worse. The other vet had the personality of a paper towel. My girl was worse, so I found another vet. Dr. Oliver was compassionate and friendly, and he made my girl happy. Unfortunately, he discovered (what the other vet did not) that she had osteosarcoma. I cried like a child, and he and his staff were so comforting. There were hugs and words of encouragement. He did what he could, but it was pretty advanced. The entire staff as well as the doctor, were so delicate with her. We had to carry her to my car because she couldn't walk on her own. This is where it gets good, they carried and placed her in my car and they all took turns at comforting her and me. This place is wonderful, and they really care. I want to recognize the staff who helped: Denisse, Ann, Alannis, Dave , Jenny, Marti, and of course Dr. Oliver. They also did something that caught me by surprise. They called me the following day and the day after just to see how Riley was feeling. This is the first vet that has done this. I love this team

Fantastic experience: Brought my cat here for the first time for an injury to his paw. It was a great experience. They saw me fairly quickly, but it was also a weekday. The doctor was awesome. He spent his time explaining things to me and answered all my questions. The team was welcoming, kind, and friendly. Most importantly, my cat was taken really good care of. Also the pricing was very very reasonable, especially for a vets office. I was glad to have chosen this clinic and would continue bringing my other cats here as well.

Fantastic experience: INCREDIBLE VET & TECH TEAM!!!... If I could give 10 stars I would Dr Oliver was amazing when treating my cat and displayed so much knowledge about animal medicine. Showed so much passion for animals and real compassion and care for my pet. My cat had a very complex issue, and Dr Oliver was very attentive throughout the treatment and persistent to find the best solution, keeping the cats overall health, stress, and well-being in mind. Dr Oliver performed an obstruction surgery on my cat and was impressed at how smoothly it went. I could not be happier to have my dear pet back to health and back to his normal behavior. I am forever grateful for Dr Oliver and all the tech's that saved my cat's life. The entire team really makes you feel like family when you are there.

Fantastic experience: i brought my dog Spike and cat Gary in for an ear and nasal infection. I was inspired to return after a wonderful experience in May when I brought Gary in. The doctor was attentive and addressed all my concerns thoughtfully, offering clear options. Luis, the vet tech, was fantastic—he calmed Spike’s anxiety and was incredibly patient with him as he paced nervously. Luis even assisted me to the car, which was a huge help since I had both pets and was on my own. This was by far the best experience I've had at a veterinary clinic!

Negative experience: BEWARE: I brought in my cat for care who was suffering from shortness of breath. The young technicians who came in the room ignored the cat’s symptoms, coupled by the fact that the cat was scared. I assisted to remove the cat from the carrier, but the male assistant lifted the cat in the air holding upright to weight, he repeated the process because he felt the cat should weight more (the weight was the same). This continual process stressed the animal even more. Shouldn’t the protocol be that the doctor should diagnose the patient and give the instructions, the weight can be determined later. I was told by the female assistant the weight was necessary for medication, etc.). These young technicians are poorly trained in this medical office and now I’m without my dear pet. Once the doctor came in the room, he determined the cat should be seen by a specialist or 24-hour emergency clinic (the female assistant said, Doctor, aren’t you going to give him oxygen, the doctor refused). I was given a form to sign for the referral, told I didn’t owe anything and was sent on my way. They washed their hands like Pontius Pilate. My pet passed away in my car. Was there a need to stress my cat to the point of death, I believe not. In my opinion, the staff at Palmetto Animal Clinic should be better trained and learn to recognize emergencies and when to follow or delay procedures. Let's set the record straight on your recollection of events: 1-The cat was overweight, but not grossly obese. 2-I am/was a customer of Palmetto (other cats), refer to files. 3-I advised pet was a patient of Whaley Animal Hospital (in front of Hialeah Race Track), office closed due to Vet's passing. I chose to take my pet to Palmetto due to proximity of my home. 4-The pet carrier is large, see photos - check your video camera. 5-My appt. was at 2 pm. 6-I advised the front desk the condition of the pet telephonically and when I arrived. The matter worsened once inside the exam room as explained. Lastly, all your reviews cannot be excellent. I was the unfortunate customer.

Fantastic experience: As always, all the staff from this facility are very attentive and truly care for your pets well being. From the welcoming young ladies in the entrance to the vet tech and veterinarian himself, all around great people that have passion and love their job and the animals.

Fantastic experience: Came to visit Dr. Oliver with our girl Frenchie Zoey to do a check up on her ear. As always we are amazed of how clean they are here and how great they treat you. Their team is super helpful including Luis that made sure he I understood everything Dr. Oliver recommended us. We haven’t been here in couple of years since we moved to Tampa but to be honest this is the only vet I completely trust with my eyes close. Dr.Oliver is an amazing person aside of being the best Vet I know. I wish I can give them more stars because 5 is not enough for the amazing service and treatment they provide to your family . :)

Negative experience: As pet owners our concern when going to vet is “Are they gonna rip me off or are they actually gonna care for my dogs needs.” Well this establishment will do exactly that rip you off. $900 later I still had to take my dog to another vet spend MORE money because when I called them back to see what I could do to help the vet never responded, then when I called back LIED by claiming gave me a call and left me a voicemail. And the only reason I’m writing this review is to warn pet parents to stay away from establishments like this. To imply I care more about money they my dog is very funny… because if that was the case I would have never spent the $900 for a check up. And would have just taken to the human society to put him down for a lot less money… I will continue to inform everybody of a scam this place is! And it’s to save pet parents THAT ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT THERE PETS FROM COMING TO YOU GUYS! Here’s another update! So after taking my dog to another vet and spending an ADDITIONAL $1600 (since you implied I only cared about the money) my dog was diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma which is cancer.. let me make something clear my number one priority was figuring out what was wrong with my dog. And now that I do it’s even MORE CLEAR how much of a rip off this place is. It’s been one month since I took him to your location so I’m sure my dog did not get stage 4 cancer in one month of a difference. So not only did you guys scam me out of $900 you misdiagnosed my dog and prescribed him medication will never need! And just incase you wanna write back and say I never brought up anything about cancer. You can ask your dishonest as vet that got his degree from somebody’s house in Hialeah if I asked him if my dog cancer. Long story short PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE. Fantastic experience: My poor little puppy was so well taken care of here! Though I live in NYC, they were so understanding and kept me in the loop while my mom took my dog in for his appointments and laser therapy. Compare from the last ER he went too, he was treated like a king! I’m so happy and satisfied with my service and it didn’t take my arm and leg payment wise LMAO! Thank you guys so much. My puppy has healed up so much!

Fantastic experience: I brought my cat in for a bite on her leg. I thought her leg was going to fall off. But this veterinarian was incredible. He was extremely fairly priced, kind, and caring. The tech that assisted was Luis and he was was the first to see my cat. He helped me calm down by explaining what would needed to be done. And even helped me figure out how I would confine her at home. Very compassionate person. I’m so glad I found this clinic. I’ll be continue coming here and referring everyone I know.

Negative experience: Obviously changed my opinion about your practice. My two dogs were seeing by Dr. Oliver. One is a rescue chihuahua and the other is my Maltipoo. The Maltipoo has a heart condition and a history of spindle cell sarcoma Dr. Oliver excised. She needed a follow up echo and I was unable to schedule it with your office. My dogs are now being followed up by another clinic and Chanel gets her echo when required.

Fantastic experience: The DR. Oliver, Medical Staff and employees are genuinely nice and caring. The DR. Oliver is a gentle compassionate person truly a gift of understanding animals. I am for ever grateful for they're honesty and taking time to explain. It was a true blessing to have my kitty passing away peacefully.

Fantastic experience: This clinic saved my dogs life… after taking her to 4 different Drs., many tests, and different diagnoses with no positive results Dr. Oliver took the time, listened, and persisted until he found what is wrong with her. After every visit they would call to check on her progress, inquire how she was acting on the meds, and are a phone call away for any questions or concerns. Fantastic experience: Best service ever. Every single person in the staff are amazing, and Dr. Oliver is one of the nicest persons I’ve ever met, the way he treats my dogs every time I bring them and how honest and genuine he is when he is explaining things to us, is the reason why I drive over 30 minutes to bring them. The service is really A+, they will ALWAYS call me the next day to ask me if they are doing ok after the appointment or if I have any questions. I highly recommend them, they are AMAZING! and Lulu is a little bonus, Levi loves playing with her, and they let him run around the office happy and free with Lulu every time I take him. ♥️

Negative experience: I recently had a bad experience with this clinic, and wanted to warn you...this clinic appears to be professional and they follow up with their customers but this is not the case. They will register your puppy and not notify you when the registration is about to expire or when your dog needs shots to comply with the county. You will get citations from the county and they can be very costly. They also charge you $40 for counsultation and the required shots can be from $100-$350 is what I was told. I simply went to Miami Dade Animal services in Doral, and renew the registration myself. I also recieved 4 shots which included th rabies. All of this for $55.00! They were so nice and professional at this center. The address is Animal Servies Dep. 3599 NW 79 Ave. Doral 3233. I went on Wednesday afternoon approximately 2:30 ish and they were not very busy. I didn't have to wait too long the entire process took approximately 30 minutes. I kid you not. Thank you for reading my review and wish you luck with you beloved pet.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Oliver is wonderful. He is very friendly and honest. He’s great with the dogs. I was a walk in today and waited a little extra long because they were down a tech but I was patient and they are worth the wait. Dr. Oliver explained everything he was doing and did only what was necessary. I really enjoyed my visit and so did my dog Xena. Dr. Oliver let her run around the office and play with his dog.

Fantastic experience: I took my Golden Retriever in for a Heart Worm test about a month ago. The front desk ladies were friendly and greeted me upon my arrival. The Vet Techs/Assistants treated my Golden with love and care during her blood draw. Dr. Oliver is just as amazing. He greets you with a smile every time and always answers any questions I have. 10/10 !

Fantastic experience: I brought my Great Dane here and they did a wonderful job with her. They were patient and loving. They provide you an estimate prior to completing any test or administering any medication for you to approve first. They also follow up the next day to ensure that your pet is well. Fantastic experience: Wonderful place. Love its service. Very helpful. No complains. This clinic has been my pet's clinic since I got my cat luna, and I feel supported every time I use their services. Prices are fear, but it depends on the pet's needs. I feel grateful with Palmetto Animal Clinic.

Negative experience: This office gets 2 stars just because they were nice BUT I went in with my dog that had a limp and left there with a $450 bill, a bunch of meds, a stern recommendation to neuter but no actual diagnosis on his leg. Don’t get me wrong, the price wouldn’t be so much of an issue if they actually helped my dog but to get zero results after shelling out $450 is not what I expected. I would have to pay for a follow up too which I may need to take out a second mortgage on my house to be pay for.

Negative experience: I took in my dog for a teeth cleaning on Dec. 22. When the doctor did the blood test they noticed that his liver ASL was a little bit high, he told me to come back the following month to check. In Jan it was still high so I had to come back to check and that was ok because I love my pet. On Feb. there was another doctor that was there he ran the CBC and the function of the liver blood work when I was only there for the liver and charge it to me after I told him it was already done. Then he tells me that my dog teeth needs cleaning again when it’s been only a month. Since he order the CBC again not needing the blood work it got me thinking and I took my dog to another vet and they told me that the cleaning was done incorrectly that’s why my dogs teeth were dirty again and it’s only been a month. After calling the clinic and explaining about the teeth they said it was the dogs teeth that get dirty easily. I feel they have taken my money and lied to me in many different ways.

Fantastic experience: Loved this clinic and their attention, everyone nice and friendly. Doctor Oliver was empathetic and caring, the vet tech Arturo was awesome and super helpful. The office manager Maria was great as well! Overall great experience, would highly recommend this vet to anyone!!!

Fantastic experience: I’ve always had a great experience with this clinic. Everyone I’ve ever dealt with there has been professional and very kind. Today my furbaby went under anesthesia for diagnostic assessment. Dr Eley and the clinic staff went above and beyond when they didn’t find a quick answer. Ultimately it was “one last look” that found an infection. They worked around the schedule to give the most thorough care and I am SO thankful!

Fantastic experience: Spectacular service. I have been a client of Dr. Oliver since 2012 when my pet Napoleon had to be operated on for eating some small electrical cables when my husband was changing some lamps at home, at that time Napo as we call him was only 3 years old. While in his office, the doctor, through the X-ray that we had to do to locate in which part of the stomach the wires were located, realized that his servical had a dislocation which could leave him unable to walk and in great pain, apparently it was due to jumping from Heights such as the bed and the steps of the house, because beagles suffer from these neurological and spinal problems due to having short legs and a rather complicated structure. In short, thanks to the doctor, my Napo underwent both operations and today he is 13 years old and enjoys wonderful health. Thanks to Doctor Oliver, who is his guardian angel, every year we do his annual check-up and we follow all the Doctor's recommendations. Oliver. 2 years ago my husband and I adopted an American Bulldog that we found in our neighborhood malnourished and abused at only 5 months old, we named her Kaleessy and of course Oliver is also her doctor. Although his clinic is in Hialeah and I live in Homestead, there is no doubt that the trip is long, but that does not limit us from going to see him, because I assure you that it is worth it, there is no better Doctor in Miami than Doctor Oliver and its wonderful staff, you will find a clinic where you and your pet will feel at home, cleanliness, organization and everyone smiling at you, always ready to help. I recommend them %. My family and I thank you for all the wonderful work you do.

Fantastic experience: Came to this vet after switching 3 other vets when my cat got first diagnosed with diabetes. No vet would clearly explain what was happening or came with transparency on what needs to get done and how effective it was. Getting bills upon bills. Finally with my moms recommendation I came to see Dr. Oliver and my perspective on my cats changed from helplessness to relief. Things are clearly explained, they give you choices on what needs to get done and staff is always patient with your visit. They have given me realistic perspective on Mr.kitty and I couldn’t be happier with the change I made

Fantastic experience: I have been coming here since my first time owning a cat, I now have three very healthy cat thanks to Palmetto Animal Clinic! Not only that but they are reasonably priced I truly would’ve spent triple anywhere else. Apart from this they are kind people and love my cats usually I find that most vets care more about dogs but they are real animal lovers!!!!!!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Oliver is amazing! My goldendoodle Sophie had one of her puppies in the car on the way to the vet and as soon as we got there they rushed to treat both her and the newborn puppy and took care of the rest of the whelping. Sophie whelped 4 beautiful puppies and ever since they were born both the Dr. and the staff have been absolutely amazing taking care of any issues that arise and following up with them. I couldn't be more thankful for such an extraordinary vet!

Fantastic experience: This clinic is amazing. This is the first clinic I've been to where the doctor recommends what the pet actually needs, he is not looking to take your money, he truly cares about my pet's well being. I recommend this clinic to anyone. I did an echocardiogram on my cat and had the best service.

Negative experience: Pedro Rojas, You people are incredibly unprofessional I can’t believe you not only dropped my name in the reply to my mothers review regarding the death of our pet but also had the audacity to blame me for the death of our dog. I came to your clinic to examine his cough and figure out whether or not he had some sort of virus or infection and receive medication that would improve his condition but instead the doctor had to push other procedures ,which mind you turned out to be fatal, while we had prior knowledge of his heart and the condition it was in, since this was not the first vet that we had taken him to, we were very worried as to whether or not pursuing any procedures where he would be exposed to sedatives would be fatal to him. We had discussed with the doctor that we were very worried about any procedures where our pet would be put under sedatives as we’ve been told by medical professionals that sedatives could turn fatal due to his condition and due to his age. You accuse me of negligence but clearly the doctor had obviously failed to acknowledge the condition of our pet as the bloodwork was recommended to us by him, again we came seeking to cure his cough not examine his heart and or blood. Also after the nurse asked me to wait in the lobby for the doctor to complete the procedure I had been told that he had passed out and that his condition had taken a turn for the worse I come into the room and they were already trying to resuscitate him I am then told that they had been trying to resuscitate him for six minutes in total and that he’d suffer a heart attack, I then wonder why I was told he had merely pass out while I was in the lobby, my dog had already been dead while I was lead to believe that he only had fainted. I’d give zero stars if possible.

Fantastic experience: I have absolutely nothing bad to say about them. They were extremely friendly and professional. I have been going to Dr. Oliver for about 6-7 years now. I recently bought my Lab in for a routine check up and then schedule a spay surgery, when that day came from the moment we walked everyone was so welcoming and caring. The assistant came in first to speak to me and check if everything was good and pup was ready for surgery. The doctor came in shortly after and took the time to explain to me the procedure and the recovery and answer all my questions I had. He even called me the next day to check how my doggy was doing. I highly recommend Palmetto Animal Clinic and Dr. Oliver that is looking for a good vet for their pet.

Negative experience: Incredible bad customer service!! Had my appointment at 2pm. Waited outside for an hour on a rainy day. Only 1 person allowed in the room. They tried to trick my grandmother into paying them $1000 for each dog. I simply asked why ? They said because we need to give them a diagnosis. REALLY?

Positive experience: Great staff, Jorge is such a loveble dog person that makes the visit go very smoothly. I took my 11 wks there for it's 1st visit and it went real smoothly. Place need a lift up since it's getting kind of old.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming here for 10 years and they have always treated my pets like their very own. They go above and beyond for their patients, Dr. Oliver is so sweet, genuine and he really cares about my pets. He’s taken care of one of my dogs since she was a puppy to even helping us when she had her own. Another one of my dogs which they also took care of, he sadly passed last December and Dr. Oliver’s entire staff including Dr. Vasallo, were so supportive and attentive through helping us with his last months. Super grateful for them and how responsive they always are, I recommend them anytime someone asks for a vet. Thank you guys for being great.

Fantastic experience: I want to start off by saying that I have been coming to this office for 6 years and have never been disappointed with the service. My dog Rocky has seen almost all the doctors at this office including Dr. Alain Torres and most recently Dr. Vasallo. We adopted Rocky from the animal shelter near by and took him here for his first ever wellness visit. There they diagnosed him with possible distemper and gave me a bunch of treatment options that were in our budget. Needless to say Rocky survived it and I am so thankful to the doctors here that made that possible and keep him healthy year after year. That was 6 years ago, and I never stopped coming here. Dr. Torres is a fantastic doctor who always makes you feel like you are being heard and that is a great feeling especially when they are treating the dogs that feel like our own children. Today I had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Vasallo and his technician and they really exceeded my expectations. He was kind and attentive and took amazing care of my Rocky and his tech was also so nice and efficient. This office is always clean and now that COVID is around they do a great job of cleaning up after each patient. You can always expect great service here and, AS LONG AS YOU RESPECT THEM AND THE FACT THAT THEY ARE DOING THE BEST THEY CAN TO SEE ALL THE DOGGIES IN A TIMELY MANNER, you will always leave here feeling satisfied and at ease. Thank you for all you do and for always doing it with a great attitude a smile!

Negative experience: I found this clinic on google and went because of the good reviews. First time was okay, my dog received treatment and we had an appointment for check up 2 weeks later. We had the appointment at 1:30 PM, one hour later, and they still hadn’t seen us nor they had an approximate waiting time. I asked for permission at work to bring my pet. They made us wait outside at 102 degrees with no seats whatsoever. I asked if we could wait inside in the lobby because they had air conditioning and I was starting to feel dizzy, and the manager just gave me many excuses that because of covid, etc we couldn’t wait inside (I had my mask on and everything). They had like 4 more people with really sick dogs standing out in the sun waiting for a long time to be checked. Then after some minutes, the manager came out and said that they refused to see us because of my “attitude”. This is completely unprofessional. Never going back again.

Fantastic experience: I am very pleased with this clinic. I have a mini schnauzer and I brought her in to get her vaccinations and a check up. Dr. Alain Torres was very professional and handled our dog with care. He is clearly very knowledgeable and always has her best interest. He is also very gentle, and I really appreciate the care my dog has received. We will definitely be returning! I highly recommend them to everyone .
