In one of the scariest moments we have ever faced, their team moved quickly, treated our dog with incredible compassion, and kept us informed every step of the way. Fantastic experience: From the moment of arrival to discharge a couple days later the team here was unbelievable. They gave my 11 year old dog the best care I could have ever imagined possible. Which includes saving his life. I obviously hope for people’s sake you don’t have to use their services but if you happen to they are 100000/10!!!

Fantastic experience: We received an assessment and acupuncture for our 9 month old Golden Retriever who has had problems with a persistent limp. Dr Sheikh and vet assistant Amy were wonderful with our pup. Gentle, thorough, professional, answered every question and gave us a great treatment plan going forward.

Fantastic experience: We were notified by our groomer that our dog may have a serious condition and needs to get to our vet or an emergency vet. Our vet indicated we should go straight to an emergency vet. Animal Emergency and Specialty Hospital staff were able to get us in, ran tests and determined our dog’s immune system is attacking her platelets. They explained the condition, answered our questions and kept her overnight to start meds and monitor her. We can’t say enough great things about this place and their staff.
Fantastic experience: We went to this pet ER when our kitty was having terrible trouble breathing. They quickly took him in and sadly he had heart failure. The staff was very understanding and helped us through the difficult and heartbreaking decision to say goodbye. After they also sent us a very heartfelt card expressing their sympathy for our loss.
Fantastic experience: We brought our pet bunny in for what turned out to be vestibular disease. The staff were not only kind and supportive, but also super knowledgeable, and they worked with me on the best plan of care. I can't recommend them enough for emergency care
Fantastic experience: We brought our female GSD in for an arthritis flare up in which she was in a great deal of pain. She is not fond of the vet office. The staff was absolutely wonderful. They took their time with her, by the end of it all, she was the vet techs friend and she handled it like a Rockstar! I was quite impressed with how they handled everything. If you are in need of an Emergency Vet, hands down, this is the place!

Fantastic experience: Staff was very kind and efficient. Vet gave me the options for treatment and was very thorough. My puppy was evaluated immediately and was in surgery within a couple hours. I picked her up that same night and she was home resting within a few hours post surgery.

Fantastic experience: One year ago, 2/13/2025 we took our Beauceron, Ma Soie, to AEH on Plainfield at 10:00 PM. She had swallowed a plastic bag, and "half the forest", bark. grass, & leaves. She had emergency surgery, DIC, a multi drug resistant wound infection, a feeding tube, IV's, and an incisional hernia. We almost lost her a couple of times. Thanks to the extremely highly qualified veterinarians, technicians and staff, she survived. After a two week stay in the doggie ICU we brought her home. In the last year she has had multiple bouts of gastroenteritis which is not unexpected since her gut biome was altered. The kindness of the entire staff was superb. Ma Soie is currently laying on my bed in the sunshine and we are ever grateful to the staff.

Fantastic experience: Everyone was very nice. My Chocolate Labrador was throwing up then having swallowing problems. They got her in ran some tests and diagnosed her pretty quickly. It was nice to have somewhere to go in the middle of the night.

Fantastic experience: My little buddy Argo decided to take on a car the other morning, ending up with us rushing to find a vet that was open. From the start everyone there was exceptional and so lovely, even while I was a sobbing mess. He stayed overnight and I received so many text updates that really eased my mind. While I did pay with two arms and a leg, it was all worth it for the care he received. The facility is beautiful and well thought out, and they explained everything every step of the way.

Fantastic experience: Our Bernese mountain dog has anxiety and can be a bit much at times for strangers. She is still a puppy, but weighs over 70 lb. They were just wonderful with her! She bumped her tail and we didn't know if it was broken. Turns out it was just bruised, but they were so thorough, respectful, and compassionate!

Fantastic experience: I woke up Monday morning to find my dog's chest and leg had swelled really bad over night. It was dark red and really hot to my touch. I had called 3 other veterinarian offices and they either couldn't treat her or we had to wait several hours before they could see her even though they only had 1 doctor seeing patients they still fit her in and took care of her abses and explained after care wound treatment. My dog is at home with me and on the road to better health! Thank You so much Animal Emergency ans Specialty Hospital. And a special thanks to all the vet techs for your professionalism and compassion on admittance and when her abses ruptured in your lobby!!

Fantastic experience: Amazing! We were in an out of two other ER vets with our dog and until we came here, couldn't seem to get the help we needed. Our dog was hospitalized and ended up having surgery. They cared so well for him, dealt with all of our questions, visits, calls, txts, sent pictures, etc. EVERY vet we encountered here was so thorough and cared about him/us.

Fantastic experience: This place is a lifesaver. Had to go in at 3am for an ulcerated cornea. It was our 3rd or 4th time visiting. We've been here for multiple pets. The staff and vets are always so nice, and have literally saved our dogs lives. We got in and out very quickly this time. Sometimes it can be a bit of a wait if it's busy, but the vets have given me advice over the phone on how soon I should come in and will even review photos you email if you're unsure if you're dealing with an emergency or not. So glad this place exists.

Fantastic experience: After our Boston had surgery she strained a stich site and developed a seroma. This office was our contact through our primary vet. Animal Emergency snd Specialty Hospital was in contact with us as we watched it developed and they suggested we come as soon as possible for evaluation. They were so quiet, patient and calm with her (even though she wasnt). We left with medication and directions. The staff was all so kind and helpful, the environment was quiet, clean and comfortable !

Fantastic experience: Triage of my kitty was immediate as she was having breathing problems. The diagnosis and treatment was detailed and not rushed. All staff were kind and treated us as a "family". She had to stay overnight and updates were available at anytime via text which helped with the the anxiety of her being there.

Fantastic experience: Very good experience at this clinic. Our dog was diagnosed with pancreatitis. She was bleeding but stable. The staff was very professional and knowledgeable. My dog had an overnight hospitalization and they texted me and said at any time we could check on her and get an update. Early in the morning I sent a message and was given an update and later a picture was sent if Patti in her kennel. Definitely would use this hospital again if needed.

Fantastic experience: For being a trip to an emergency vet, the experience was great. First and foremost, I never felt pressured to spend more on tests or diagnostics or treatments than was absolutely necessary. They could’ve easily taken advantage of this situation And told me I should run all these tests and pay all that money like other emergency care vets in the area have done. I like that the TVs in the waiting room explained the process and gave realistic weight times and listed the reasons why the wait times were as long as they are. The waiting room is very clean. The check-in staff were extremely friendly, caring and warm. My wait was much shorter than they estimated, but I’m pretty sure I came during a low because it was much busier on my way out than when I came in. I appreciated that the vet was thorough and realistic with the evaluation, consider considering the animals, age and health history. I never once felt pressured to order additional possibly unnecessary diagnostics or tests. I explained that I was basically just trying to find a way to make sure the animal would be OK until Monday morning for a normal vet visit so I didn’t have to spend the additional money. They were very understanding and very accommodating.

Negative experience: I called ahead to see if our dogs injury was something that should be looked at. They told me yes, to head in. I completed the online registration. We got there and Then we waited 3 1/2 hours. When I asked when we would be seen they had no answer. We were the only people left in the waiting room. Eventually we went home and had our dog seen by our vet the next morning. Over the phone They made it seem like the injury was an emergency then left is to sit into the early morning hours to never be seen. The wait was made even worse by the awful smell of this building.

Fantastic experience: We have nothing but positive things to say about Animal Emergency and Speciality Hospital. We took our dog Roxy there for an emergency situation on January 4th. She needed to stay overnight for treatment and observation. The communication, care, compassion and efficiency from the entire staff was amazing the entire time. Positive experience: The skinny girl with the long brown hair and round glasses was quite rude when i was asking where and how to check in cause my cat was having an emergency. Said ill help you when i get time in a terse manner. I didnt want to cut line just wanted to know where and how to check in there was two lines and no sign. On the other hand the blone girl i cant remember her name and the vet were both very helpful and amazing i will definitely go back but some need to understand alot of people walk in those doors anxious and stressed for their fur baby

Fantastic experience: We took our dog there because we thought he had bloat. They took him in right away before registration was complete. They took xrays and examined him. Then we went in for a meeting with the Veterinarian. The staff and the Veterinarian were so friendly and kept us up to date. It turned out he did not have bloat. I highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Brought our cat Casey in on New Year’s Day when all other vets were closed. He was still recovering from a hip fracture and developed a blocked urinary tract due to the trauma. The vets and techs were very caring and quickly diagnosed his condition, provided the appropriate treatment and now Casey is back on the road to recovery. Thank you all!

Fantastic experience: I was able to bring my pup in on Christmas day. The staff were friendly, showed care and concern, and were very helpful in explaining what I needed to know to make sure my pup would be able to return home with me. Fantastic experience: Animal Emergency and Specialty Hospital of Grand Rapids were a godsend for us when our dog got into a metric tonne of toxic food. A Labrador retriever. Shocker, I know. From the reception to the doctors to the nurses, everyone was warm, reassuring, communicative and clear. I, in particular, appreciated the sms update facility that allowed me to get regular updates without having to call them. Highly impressed and grateful for this team.

Fantastic experience: Having to bring our pet in on Christmas Eve was not ideal, but the experience with this animal hospital was a positive one. I really appreciated being able to register online and spend most of our wait time at home. Once we were messaged to come in everyone was very professional and kind. I felt that my cat was in very good care while there.

Fantastic experience: This hospital went above and beyond for our family. They got us in quickly and assessed our sweet Bailey. Unfortunately we had to put her down and they were amazing and understanding during our tough time. Fantastic experience: Very friendly and caring while we had a over night stay .. loved they can have text communication and able to send pictures ❤️ The bad side it cost a lot for a flash emergency visit and to stay over night and not a chance of payment plan unless you can be approved for a credit line somewhere .. not everyone can do it scary ..side note look into pet insurance as I now have!

Fantastic experience: My pup ingested a 10oz dark chocolate bar and I contacted The Animal Emergency And Specialty Hospital immediately for medical advice. They recommended that I am bring her in immediately for care because ingestion of dark chocolate can be lethal for dogs. Upon arrival they were ready to take my puppy back and treat her. I was very impressed with the professionalism, timelines, and communication during the whole hospitalization. I am a nursing professional and would highly recommend this place based on my overall exceptional experience.

Positive experience: I'm gonna try to post this before I have another break down. Yesterday 12/22/25. I brought my girl to the clinic to lay her to rest. The vet she's been going to for 11 years wasn't able to do it till later in the afternoon and recommended Animal Emergency. Her reg. Vet informed on mon 12/15/25 about the cancer. When I got to animal ER. The staff I spoke with was very helpful. Came out put her on a gurney to take her in. They had me come into a waiting room where we could say our goodbye and tell her we love ❤️ her. After I did the paper work. When they came to get the clipboard from me the other door opened and they roll Blackie (my little girl) in and she was already gone. Never got to let her know were there for her or tell her goodbye and we love her. That is the worse part of everything for the last week. At least I got 1 more week to show how much I love her before it took its toll on her. The staff was very nice and understanding. Loved looking out the front window watching the world go by. I LOVE YOU BABY GIRL ALWAYS IN MY HEART ❤️ ❤️ RIP Blackie You will be missed alot

Fantastic experience: Early one morning I unexpectedly had to rush my 5 year old cat here because she couldn’t breathe. I was shocked to find out she had been born with a heart condition and was in heart failure. As devastating as this was, the staff here was so compassionate. They explained everything so well, let me take my time, and gave me all the options. Unfortunately, our best option was to put my sweet girl down. I thank you all for your kindness and loving hearts. Negative experience: I have no words to describe how much I hate this place and will never come back. All employees are incredibly rude, only caring for your animal whether or not you sign all of their paperwork. For overnight care they try to absolutely rake every dollar out of your pocket and they do not act professional. We had loaded answer about our cat when asking what was wrong, “it could be” this or “it could be” that and we need to treat him for it. I have never been to a less professional environment when it comes to veterinary care. My cat died on their watch and he was in for less than three hours. They told us we would need to get financed for 4200$ before they could begin care. And they just watched him die. They told us he was cold, and did nothing to help it but blow cold oxygen on him making him colder and causing him to seize, we had him comfortably warm and knew something was wrong when we went in, but no seizing what so ever, until they began to mess with him and poke and prod him, and make him colder with the oxygen. I firmly believe these people made him worse, and tried to pressure us into paying for his care knowing he was going to die. Every person in this clinic should loose their rights to work on animals when they cannot provide a solid answer or resolution when it comes to an unconscious cat. Worst Clinic Ever.

Positive experience: Glad to have a 24/7 vet available. Facility was clean and inviting. Staff were all VERY friendly. Cost was crazy high, but that's expected at an emergency clinic. My real complaint was the nearly hour wait to even be seen. My pet and I were the only ones in the lobby when we arrived. And then the continued slow progress, with lack of any real information about where we were in the process, was frustrating. Also - call ahead! Google Maps indicated an appointment was necessary. So I called. The outgoing message (which was super long), eventually said to head right in. So I did that. But once I got there, I had to register. The online registration mentioned waiting at home for a call to come in when they were ready for me. That would have been a nicer alternative!! In short, clearer communication throughout the process would have gone a long way in an already stressful situation.

Fantastic experience: The staff is very nice. They clearly care about the animals. And I love that they call them baddies it’s cute. I absolutely understand how understaffed and busy they get. I saw it, I saw one look like they were going to cry over the news. I know people in this career and I know how hard it can be. I was crying listening to people coming in and talking. I can’t imagine what you go through. But after 4 plus hours of being told “someone will talk to you soon.” “Someone came in who is in more need.” Etc. when are the animals that need care going to be a priority. I think it ended up being over 5 hours before she was seen. With 3 doctors. They are absolutely amazing and what you do is brave. I could not survive in a vet career, I’m too weak for that. It just really sucks on my end to hear someone with higher priority ended up showing coming in so my cat was pushed back again. Thank you for all you do. I really do appreciate the team and what they did.

Fantastic experience: My kitty Murphy had a complete blockage and had to be brought here for 3 nights observation - the staff and entire experience was above and beyond. They helped work with my budget, provided frequent updates, and give you a 24/7 line you can text/call for updates. The paperwork they give you upon discharge is SUPER thorough - the time and attention they give your animal eases the stress and anxiety of your fur baby being away and in medical hands. Negative experience: The facility said they would text me when ready to which I replied "good because my dog has a lot of anxiety at the vet". I got a text at 5 and was there by 5:15 but was not seen until well after 8 pm! Tell me the point of texting when ready. Been there twice now and not impressed so I will try another emergency vet next time I need one

Fantastic experience: Staff was very friendly and helpful. They are a good, honest animal hospital and were able to help me at any point during the day or night. The front desk staff was able to thoroughly explain and break down the costs for all procedures before the doctors did anything and were able to answer all the questions I had, including helping me navigate through the Care Credit application process. The doctors were very gentle with my cat and kept me updated throughout the day on what they were doing and how my cat was doing and made sure I totally understood the conditions my cat was diagnosed with.

Negative experience: I have read your reviews and you have showed compassion and care for many. God bless! I cant say the same for my interaction in an emergency. I called here in desperation after my dog ate mouse poison while we were at a loved ones home. I told her we live over 50 miles away with no means to get there.There was absolutely no kindness or caring in this conversation since I was not able to get there. The importance of finding out how to get my dog to vomit asap was the reason for my call. Poison Control had just told me that I would most likely be assisted with getting him to vomit with peroxide. Your staff member said no peroxide can him ulcers and much worse. She said she might be able to ask the vet but had to know an ingredient on the package he ate from . I told her there was absolutely no writing on it and I did not know how much he ate. She said there is always writing on the package. I again told her there was no writing on the package. And again and again while she totally ignored what I was saying. She said there has to be writing on the package of at least one ingredient. Really? Am I lying? What part did she not understand? And yes I not so politely said you are absolutely no help at all and hung up. I then gave my nearly 50lb dog 1tsp of peroxide against your recommendation. He vomited one large pile of puke containing a pile of poison enough to have been most of the unmarked package. Vets use to recommend this to induce vomiting. So that tsp of peroxide was more dangerous than a package of mouse poison? Not everybody has the means to travel even in an emergency. I would of been more than happy to be billed for any help I received but we could not even get past the unmarked package. I will remain thankful I caught him otherwise I would of never knew what he ate. We will be doing a follow up with our vet today. To the person that answered the phone.....DO BETTER!!!

Fantastic experience: Our pup landed herself in the ER with tummy troubles over a busy holiday weekend. We called prior to bringing her and had lovely customer service on the phone. Once we got there the staff all remained kind and compassionate. Noëlle was fortunate enough to see the same doctor she had during her last ER adventure. Dr Mallos was lovely and informative. She remembered our pup which definitely made this helicopter mom feel good. Pricing is what it is, but thankfully our bill was cheaper than what we were originally quoted which was definitely a happy surprise for us. Thank you for taking good care of our sweet pup. Fantastic experience: My Bozo a Weimaraner that thought he had an all you can eat dinner, got very sick. They were worried about bloat. He spent the night and caused chaos. In the end he showed them his sweet side and got lots of cuddles. They saved is life. I was so happy they were there for him.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Westerhof saved my ragdolls life. This was the best place to go when my cat needed emergency surgery after getting her tongue 75% ripped off after being attacked by another cat. She is now back to her happy self! Grooming, eating, playing. Treatment was prompt and all the staff were extremely friendly and sensitive to the intense emotional rollercoaster that I experienced that day. Fantastic experience: My beloved pet, Robby, ill with asthma, feline lieukemia, and IBD and recently having come down with diabetes had a severe painful screaming diabetic emergency in the early morning hours i.e. 2 a.m. one Sunday and i rushed him to this clinic to be humanely euthanized as nothing more could be done for him as his diabetes had progressed painfully and badly over the past month. He was treated with kindness and care and gently was put down in my arms while i was holding him telling him how much he was loved as he went over the rainbow bridge. This clinic treated him and me with the utmost respect and compassionate care and is one of the most caring of any vet clinic i have ever gone to and i highly recommend them as the vet and staff are top notch compassionate and caring folks. I highly recomnend them for any emergency pet ER care of any kind.

Fantastic experience: They did a great job of helping my cat when he needed urgent care. Although I was told the wait time to be seen could be rather long for a mostly stable kitty, they got us seen rather quickly and treated us kindly and answered all the questions I asked. My kitty can be a spicy little meatball but they handled his attitude beautifully and were able to get him taken care of sent home. If an emergency ever arises again I will surely be using this location again.

Negative experience: I will say first that every person at the office seemed very compassionate and understanding, I don't think the techs or the vet are responsible for my gripes. Interactions with the staff come across as though they are incentivised to up-sell owners on medical procedures. In my experience, this isn't something individual workers either enjoy or willingly partake in, hence my above disclaimer. I say this because, after a perfunctory exam, we were given a laundry list of possible causes for my animal's condition, with a fairly hefty price tag, but no conclusive answers. After discussing our options and removing items that could wait until a regular vet visit, I was presented with an updated cost a little less than half the original amount, and a conclusive diagnosis, and the medications to treat it at home. Perhaps I have misread the situation, perhaps I misunderstood the process, and I understand that liability is a concern, but if I had been immediately given the prescriptions I asked for, for the condition I was reasonably confident was correct when I came in, we all could have saved some time. I thank the caring and diligent staff for helping out my little guy in his hour of need, but I do not think I will be returning.

Fantastic experience: Mia was seen for an intestinal blockage and the staff and doctors couldn't have been better. They were very prompt with getting her registered and seen by a vet. She explained the plan for Mia and assured me they would keep me informed at any point I wanted to call. They were able to clear the obstruction without resorting to surgery. I received a call that night at 11:30 that the obstruction was clearing and moving to her colon and we should be able pick her up in the morning. We were extremely happy with the care Mia received and she's back to her normal carefree self!

Negative experience: I went here a couple of years ago bc my dog was banging into things and shaking her head constantly. I brought her in and after like 2 hrs they say she prob has a brain tumor and needs a 2500 dollar mri or else I could just give her meds. I chose the meds and took her to my actual vet. We'll come to find put she just had a bad ear infection and it seemed like they didnt even check them at all bc had they did that they would have seen. Im writing this review now bc someone I know was asking around about a 24 hr emergency pet hospital and I remembered this experience. I hope they actual have changed their ways bc it seemed unprofessional and quite predatory from my last visit with bella. "Update" Someone did reach out to me and said they have changed leadership and am sorry for my experience. I appreciate that they did that and would give them a 2nd chance if needed in the future. Fantastic experience: We recently brought our dog, Lady, in when she was having a severe allergic reaction to what was believed to be a spider bite. This office made us feel welcomed and cared for from start to finish. The first woman I talked to (cried to) on the phone was so empathetic and patient with me. She showed genuine concern about my pets condition and my emotional state. Upon arrival, I let the front office know that my dog was other animal aggressive. They met me at an exit door and made sure that my dog got hoteled away from other animals so my wife and I could complete the check in and waiting process. The staff frequently gave us updates about how our dog was doing. They explained the treatment and payment plan well so we knew exactly what to expect. The vet that we talked to was knowledgeable and made sure to answer all our questions. Our dog was much more comfortable leaving this ER vet than when she arrived and that meant everything to us. Thank you for treating us so well, with such compassion. I will 100% recommend you to friends and family and will return should the need ever arise.

Fantastic experience: This animal emergency hospital is absolutely incredible. They saw both of my ferrets, Dorris and Bandit. The staff are all professional and thorough. We drove 2 hours and was totally worth it. Thank you so much for the support and care for our ferrets. Unfortunately both had lymphoma and our sweet boy passed in February 2025 and Dorris passed on Nov 7th, 2025. Not the news we wanted. We miss them dearly. Bandit was 8 and Dorris was 8 and 1/2. Positive experience: We went in on a Saturday evening. Called for an appointment, was called back by the "other office" as they could see me sooner. Was told to pre-register, then wait to be called in. Got the call and headed for the office where I was treated very well and seen relatively quickly after arriving. Unfortunately, they couldn't really figure out what was wrong with my dog, but the experience overall was about as good as a trip to the emergency vet can be!

Positive experience: A exceptional Emergency care facility. Our little girl, Lady Ginny, was seen and diagnosed quickly. The medical staff was compassionate and direct, yet gentle. Through Lady Ginny's 3 day stay, we consistently received textupdates, from both doctors, and staff. Along with new photos. Doctors and staff also called as thing progressed giving updates, test results and coures of action.This gave us a great deal of piece of mind! Fantastic experience: We had to bring our dog Skipper in at 3am because he suddenly couldn't stand and his eyes were shaking. Jordan came out to help us get him in. Skipper went in the back and seen Dr. G. DR. G came out and let us know what was going on with Skipper, and talked us through everything. He was so compassionate, caring and informative. Jordan came out and gave Skipper a IV and some meds and was also so compassionate, caring and funny. Although it was an expensive trip to the Animal ER, we are very please with the care our sweet 13 year old Puppers received.

Fantastic experience: Dr Hudson and her support staff were very pleasant and efficient. Although they were very busy, they got us in and out very quickly while still addressing our issues in a professional and courteous manner. Negative experience: Our dog very suddenly last night got sick, threw up large amounts, multiple times, and hasn’t been himself since. Sat at the hospital for 4 hours before our dog was even looked at. Our dog was finally seen, and was told that his kidney function isn’t great, so they said they would keep him overnight, and if his kidney function was bad that they would be putting him down. First of all, the overnight stay was quoted for $3,300. That is absolutely asinine. Who can afford that on such short notice?! And second, because this was such a sudden change in health, wouldn’t it make sense to have him looked at sooner than 4 hours? Wouldn’t sitting there for 4 hours risk conditions getting worse? I understand that it’s an emergency clinic and you have lots of animals coming in and out, but a 4 hour wait doesn’t show any compassion or care to worried families. I appreciate you guys at least giving him IV for a little bit before sending him on his way, $110 is obviously much more affordable, but in terms of showing your clients that you care and actually take any interest in our animals, is really lacking. And also the lack of empathy towards families that can’t afford to just hand over thousands of dollars is insane. $3,300 right off rip in this day and age is nearly impossible and is actually crazy. It basically felt like we were told you can either pay this amount or he can be put down… now we have to bring him home, try to figure out how to help him on our own at home, and hope and pray that he gets better. This is a horrible feeling, you guys didn’t make us feel any better at all. Please do better.
Fantastic experience: While I had to wait, I feel my dog was prioritized well. And results came back quickly. I received a thorough explanation from the vet about the results and what to expect moving forward. The facility was clean and pleasant. All staff members were friendly and concerned for my dog as well as me.

Fantastic experience: Can not say enough good things about Animal Emergency and Specialty Hospital! No one wants their pet to get sick on a weekend, but if they do, this is where you take them! They are a well oiled, efficient machine, but with kindness and expertise also thrown in. The clinic itself is clean, well thought out (barriers to separate animals in the waiting room, bathrooms for humans, vending machines, water bottles), and nicely decorated. Check in process is easy, efficient, and you can wait at home or in your car if that works better for you. Our miniature schnauzer got very sick, very fast on a Saturday and was treated for pancreatitis. I don’t think it’s exaggerating to say the staff here saved his life. He had to spend one overnight, but the texts from the veterinarians and pictures from the techs were reassuring and helpful. I also appreciated the printed discharge instructions and care summary. THANK YOU. THANK YOU. Pictures are 24 hours apart-a different dog!

Fantastic experience: By far, the best emergency vet we have ever been to! The doctors, veterinary assistance and support staff were all amazing. Our boston terrier RAN inside and behind the desk to greet everyone on his follow up visit. Think he wanted to say "thank you" for treating him so well when he was sick.

Fantastic experience: I was very impressed with Animal Emergency. They took care of my cat very well, the communicated with me very well and answered all my questions. My cat needed a special diet and they even sent me home with some food to try! That made me so happy cause i had to order it and it allowed me try them and give me time to order. Fantastic experience: Our 12-year-old Pomeranian was struggling to breathe because of a collapsing trachea. AEH took incredible care of him. They were always available by text for an update on his condition. They are all extremely compassionate and empathetic.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I are beyond grateful for the compassion we, and most importantly our Lab, Thor, received early this morning. The kindness by all staff was immeasurable as well as the education provided to handle our insulin dependent diabetic boy. Tonight he is doing well, resting with a full tummy after keeping 2 meals down. Score: Qtips 100- Thor 1, but we will take that as a win!!!

Fantastic experience: This was the second time that I have brought a dog to this hospital. Both times they have been great about taking care of the problem that we were having. The staff is always incredibly kind and helpful. I love the communication they have while my dogs have been there overnight. Juno is doing great after her visit and happy to be back home with her cat best friend!

Negative experience: I will go straight to the point, bringing a sick pet to the ER is hard, for owners they're family, I wish they would of been more caring, more humane and honest about the condition of my baby dog. we brought him Wednesday night with blood in his urine and bruises all over his body, which happened overnight, he had a previous visit to his vet in the morning, ER was a follow up when we noticed more blood, Staff at front were attentive and quick, first dr. was knowledgeable and we left thinking there was a chance that he was going to be ok or at least trusting they would let us know if thing were not improving. Next day no updates by text until I asked about him, over text they never told us that our doggy was declining, we saw him in the morning and his health was deteriorating, but the 2nd Dr. didn't say much, the nurse told us, he had episode of bloody diarrhea and blood from his nose, in the afternoon they asked us to wait a little longer to visit him because they were going to run more test, we didn't get results until we got there, when the same nurse shared the news our baby had more bloody episodes, the 3rd Dr. was thinking on "sending us home with medication", my doggy at that time , when she was in the room with us, had 3 episodes of bloody diarrhea, 3rd one being just blood, when I asked for the test results Dr started to take a look at the chart saying , well yeah he is deteriorating, numbers are showing a health decline, I demanded HONESTY, I begged her to be honest, my dog was dying in front of our eyes and they were still thinking of keeping him or send him home, we asked to euthanize him and she said Yeah I think that's an option at this point, when a few minutes before she said "he is not there at that point yet", I just hope in the future they can be more transparent, more humane with the pet owners, more considerate. Our doggy took a deep breath and died in our arms, we let the dr. continue the euthanize process but our baby was gone on his own, we saw that, he was not gonna make it and I just wish there was more compassion for pet owners. In 2017 we brought another doggy there and at that time they were doing great, it was tough too, but we left knowing they couldn't help him anymore, they showed to care about him and us, now, I love the new building and the accessibility of location but unfortunately my experience with this young Doctors was not good this time. Please try to put your heart a bit more in our shoes and have a more gentle approach in those stressful terrifying times. I understand sometimes there is nothing else to help those pets but transparency and compassion must go together to soothe the pain of the pets and the owners.

Fantastic experience: Had to rush my dog in and all the staff where very polite and helpful. My dog is terrified of all vets and he adored all the staff their. The vet on duty dvm osborne really made my dog excited to be treated

Fantastic experience: Very kind and calm staff. We brought our dog in because she was throwing up everywhere and smelled like gas, we were worried she had gotten into something poisonous. They were able to see us right away and it turns out she gad just been sprayed by a skunk. They didn’t make us feel bad about how concerned we were at all, they were super nice about it. Their baking soda tip worked amazing!

Fantastic experience: went in for a emergency for my cat, she was having some discharge issues and we found out that she had pyometra. she needed surgery as soon as possible. i began to freak out due to how expensive the surgery was going to be and panicked. Dr. Grupiod was helpful enough to call around and find a veterinarian that was much more reasonable in price. i’m grateful that he was able to help get my cat the help she needed. he even checked on her at the other vet we toook her to the day of surgery. rest of the staff was very helpful too

Fantastic experience: They took great care of my dog. We had been to his usual vet earlier in the day before his condition worsened and we had to go here that night, and they waived the exam fee for us, being our second vet visit of the day.

Fantastic experience: I really appreciate how dedicated the staff is to being in contact with owners about updates and check ins. It was very stressful leaving my cat (no I’m not sure whose separation anxiety is the worst) even though it was a medical emergency, but hearing updates was amazingly supportive. I know it’s a luxury to be able to provide emergency vet care to a pet, but I further appreciate the price transparency with breakdowns with the treatment plans. I felt that staff was really willing to work with my pet, and appreciate the responsiveness to my cat really trying to eat on her own (we were at risk of a feeding tube). Very glad my pet was well taken care of!! Context: we transferred from our primary vet due to liver disease, with several days of not eating. My cat stayed 2 days overnight with staff.

Negative experience: Although I am grateful for the care my puppy received for his injury, I left feeling very judged because I did not choose the more expensive course of action, which was close to $3,000. I am a loving pet mom, but I simply cannot afford that—especially since my pup’s sister recently had an expensive eye surgery. The staff themselves were friendly, but the vet came across as a bit judgmental and condescending. For example, she asked if he was for breeding purposes. He’s only 6 months old, so that question felt irrelevant, especially during an emergency visit. On top of that, the entire process took nearly four hours from start to finish. I completely understand emergencies can take time, but the overall experience left me feeling more stressed than reassured. What would have made a big difference is if the vet had said, “We understand you can’t afford this option—let’s work together to find a more affordable plan that still gives your pet the best possible outcome.” That compassion would have gone a long way. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this clinic unless it’s truly an emergency and you have no other choice

Positive experience: Pros: open 24/7, paperwork can be done online or before arriving, staff is friendly and facility is clean. Cons: Vet did not follow my selection on the paperwork to speak to me before completing additional services/charges which resulted in $150 in unexpected fees. Additionally, the vet never told me he did the ultrasound; I only found out when reviewing the invoice. The estimate I was given was $4200 to $4800 and when I said I couldn't afford that, it was reduced to $2700 for the exact same service/procedure.

Positive experience: The care of my dog was great! The diagnosis and treatment plan were spot on. The vet was very kind and caring and spent plenty of time with us. We were given options on what tests and meds we wanted. On the downside, the initial sign-in process was horrible! When a stressed out dog loving person presents with an injured pet, DO NOT HAND THEM A TABLET to stress them out further! That was absolutely pathetic! To make it worse, the person behind the desk was condescending. So, as one struggles with the tablet (that asked for my name 4 times and stalled out several times), there were 6 employees behind the desk socializing!!! Now, would it be better customer service to just have someone ask the questions and register the patient themselves? Why in the world do you ask a stressed out person to do YOUR JOB for you? For the amount of money spent, the customer service failed us.
