Experiencia negativa: Please beware very inhumane Medical Director at this location. Him and his staff pressured me to have my cat's eye taken out when I only took her to get spayed. Yet refused service for followup... even after appointment was confirmed. The Direct called me himself to tell me they " only specialize in Spay and Neauter" so i asked him why did they pressure me to have my cat's eye taken out but not refer me to an eye specialist. He then told me they had to " cancel " my cats appointment and when I further questioned him, he sent me a letter of " Termination of Services "Which begs the question was this am unnecessary procedure that they used my cat as a guinea pig for his students. Very inhumane just Please be careful...

Experiencia fantástica: Had my fur baby spayed here. The process was very fast. You have to go online at 6 am to be put on waitlist for that day. Check in time starts at 7am. During check in the staff let you know what to expect during the surgery and aftercare instructions and how pick up works. Pick up is at 2:30 you have to go inside write yiur name down amd the staff will bring out your pet with after care instructions. The staff that I encountered were nice!

Even though I had a rough time getting an appointment at Space Gorda, I went there and spoke with them about my issue, and they ended up helping me right away. There was a waiting list that I had to go through, but it turned out to be completely fine. I adopted a dog when she was 7 months old, and she bites a lot—but that’s just the nature of dogs when they are puppies.

Experiencia negativa: I urgently need to spay an outdoor cat. The website says that the waitlist opens at 6am on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. It also says that you cannot be seen unless you have a spot on the waitlist. It’s Tuesday. I woke up early on my day off. I tried at 5:45 and 5:55 just to be extra safe, then tried again right at 6. I kept trying to open the waitlist repeatedly from 6-6:30. It doesn’t even say that the waitlist is full, it just says that it’s “scheduled to open on Tuesday at 6am but is currently closed”. So I tried calling multiple times after 7am when they open and it says their phone line is closed. HOW IS ANYONE SUPPOSED TO COME GET THEIR ANIMALS FIXED HERE?? This is completely ridiculous.

Experiencia fantástica: Great experience. Took my daughter puppy to get shots. The wait time was not that bad. The vet doctor was so nice. Again, this is a great experience.

Experiencia negativa: I am highly upset. My sister got 2 kittens last week $50, not even a full week she called up there and told them that the cats or breathing heavy. And this morning, she found out one was dead. She call up there and they said it was nothing they could do take the cat to the veterinarian. We shouldn't have to do that if we just spent that money on them. No refund or nothing.

The line starts forming around 7:30 AM, and it’s first come first served. They finished 3 hours earlier than the scheduled discharge time and gave us a cone which was PURFECT.

Experiencia negativa: I run a sober living facility and one of my clients had left and took off and left their kitten behind at the house unfortunately I did not know they had it and we are not allowed to have animals on the property I want to bring them to my local ASPCA office and they would not accept the kitten and told me that cats are free-range and they will not accept them anymore I think that's absolutely ridiculous this was a defenseless little kitten who has never been outside a day in his life

Experiencia negativa: I had brought my female (mom) and male (dad) cat here for spaying and neutering services and they recovered fine with zero complications. I kept one of their kittens from their litter before I got them fixed and Tuesday 4/30/24 it was the baby’s turn. I brought my orange tabby (their son) for the same service and he died earlier this morning, just six days later, from complications from his surgery. I’m so devastated and I don’t know what happened. I guess if you use the voucher and bring your pet to this location, there’s a chance your pet may die like mine did. I regret getting him neutered. He was only a year old. I’m going to miss him so much :’(

Experiencia fantástica: Incredibly grateful the work the ASPCA and their spay/neuter clinic does. I've been in a rough spot recently, and they were able to spay my girl for free and took great care of her. I'm not sure what I would have done otherwise. You can tell they have great bedside manner - my girl has separation anxiety but followed the kind employees right into the building. We tried to sign up for three days and finally got an appt on the 4th morning we tried. I recommend pulling up the website a few minutes before 6a and then refreshing it constantly. If you're able to put your name, do it lightning fast, otherwise it might kick you off while you're still filling in your information. 4 weeks out and my pup's scar is healing beautifully and she is back to being her crazy self. Thanks, ASPCA!

Experiencia negativa: I would come first thing when they opened to look at the little dogs approved and cleared for fostering or adoption, but they were no where to be found. The front desk would say, “ oh someone already adopted them”. I'd say how is that if this is the day they are to be put out for the public to look at them. Why do All the little dogs vanish before the public can even get a chance to look at them? That happened twice and I gave up.

They fill up very quickly, I'm talking 2-3 minutes, so be ready to type fast. The staff were overall friendly and helpful, and my cat came home healthy and happy. 5/5 stars

Experiencia positiva: The fact that you have to register online for the spay and neuter wait list @6:00am is a bit much considering you may not get a text, which means you have to try another day. Or stand on line @7:00am to see if they have space available. I requested 3vouchers,I have 3 Cats ,they have a two animal limit,so that is also inconvenient, unless you have the time to wait for a space. I was finally able to get my 3rd cat neutered so that was a plus. Other than that, all I can say is Thank You,to the ASPCA . The services you provide are fantastic.

Experiencia negativa: when I went down to the shelter in Los Angele on 60th street they gave me the website where I could get on the spay wait list however you have to register at 6am and by the time i started the process at exactly 6am by 6:02am the waitlist was already full. I have been at this for over 2 weeks with same results and my cat will be going into heat in a few months, this place is a joke and I hate that I have to give them at least one star before they allow me to post this review because they don't deserve any stars.

Experiencia positiva: A lot of people they have on the list for low income to get your dog or cat spayed or neutered. They don’t do it anymore and a lot of people lost a license. That’s the reason why I gave it the rating. And everything is so far and out of the way of Compton and Compton have the name on the list and I don’t do it plus for low income. They charge you the top dollar even for the shots. I will be going back to the Animal, I will be going back to the Gardena Carson animal shelter it’s better on my pocket plus I can get everything I need

They even provide the traps and cat food. After they take care of the cat, they bring it right back to where they came from with no harm. I had a certain stray cat that had a deep wound in his skin. ASPCA took him in and gave him the right treatment to make him feel better. Thank you Judith, Joe, and Elizabeth for your service!

Experiencia fantástica: This organization needs to be protected at all costs. They spay and provide flea vaccines to stray cats at no cost. One of my stray cats had a large wound and they gave him antibiotics!

Experiencia fantástica: The doctor was so polite and so wholesome during the process of putting my brothers dog down. She explained everything in detail and was able to console my brother and all of his concerns. Honestly she made this process so much easier and smoother for me.

Experiencia positiva: Very fast, but also too fast. You basically have to complete the form at lightening speed to get on the waitlist because all the slots fill in after 2 minutes. You have to get up at 6 am to rush to fill out the form and get put on the waitlist, then you need to rush to get to the place at 7 am with your pet. You still might not even get in because they tell you if you got on the actual list only 10 minutes before 7 am. It would be much less stressful if the sign up was for the next day, that way you aren't scrambling to do everything without knowing if you even got an appointment.

Experiencia negativa: I was not successful in getting my 2 cats spayed. It seems if you don't live in certain zip code areas than you are not eligible, neither are my cats. I was really looking forward to getting them fixed. Since then they are coming into heat on different days. I didn't want to let this go but had no choice. So to the ASPCA, YOU REALLY SHOULD CONSIDER the HOMELESS!!! (For your free services) a big portion of the population are homeless, & a good portion are pet owners that can use this service.

I went for a spay and turns out they offer rabies vaccine, microchip, nail trim, & a cone free of charge with the local voucher. See if you qualify for the free spay, I highly recommend them. My details: In at 7am, pick up at 1:30pm, text them you're outside for pick up and they bring your pet out to you. They give you a phone # to call available 24/7 for emergencies, if there are complications, they cover the costs. But everything was great! THANK YOU ASPCA !!
