Helpful, thorough and friendly no matter what. We travel at least 45 minutes each way just to get there because we love the care for our furbabies. Thank you for being there.

Experiencia positiva: We have taken our pets to Covedale Pet Hospital for thirty years or more and have always been satisfied. My last visit was a stark contrast. I waited for 50 minutes past my appointment time to be taken to an examination room. The doctor came in fairly quickly and determined that my dog was scratching at his ear because of a buildup of hair inside the ear and it should be cut out. "I'll get some help," she said. Thirty minutes passed and the dog was taken out of the room for about 90 seconds and was ready to be released. Then I had to wait over 5 minutes to check out and pay the bill. I was never provided any update on my extended wait. after about 30 minutes, I finally asked why I was waiting so long after 4-5 patients were seen who came in after my arrival. I was told the doctor that I was seeing was running "a little behind." Couldn't another doctor helped her out? (I have rarely seen the same doctor twice!) The young man who checked me out listened to my ordeal and said he'd pass my comments on. I certainly hope he did. This was terrible customer service and a real blemish on their otherwise good reputation.

Experiencia fantástica: Covedale Pet Hospital's staff took great care of our dog, Duke, for the 4 nights he was their guest. The doctors were professional and point on with their diagnosis and treatment. Duke still has a ways to go, with follow-up visits for wound checks and healing, but he wouldn't be where he is today (with us) if it wasn't for the excellent care they provided.

Experiencia positiva: Not a bad place would recommend but if you visit this place make sure you ask with EVERY conversation what the charge is because they never mention what you’ll be charged for, So ASK FIRST BEFORE THEY DO ANYTHING! So for example if you pay for your animal medication that makes your dog sick and you need a different medication, will just tell you to come pick up the new medication and charge you on the way out. Now I’ve paid for medication that made my dog sick, that I only used 2 of 14 tablets, on top of more that hopefully won’t. Also ask about possible side effects and different options because they won’t mention it.

As you know - I am a transplant from Chicago and have very specific tastes, requirements - not only for me - but especially for my animals. Including Chicago, this place and their employees are hands down, the nicest, strongest advocates, the cleanest place, most helpful, most personable bunch of professionals I have ever encountered. Your kindness with my poor “Chicken Nugget” was unparalleled. It was his first visit and you gave such wonderful care, provided such great suggestions - I am never going anywhere else. He is a feral cat (a stray) we took in almost a year ago. He is very skittish and scared. Even inside with us! You listened to our needs and were up to the challenge. Shocker, the “Nugg-Bug” was calm and cool during his visit and with his shots. He never ran or hid or anything! Thank you so much from the bottom of my family’s hearts. We appreciate you and all that you do. “Nuggie” is doing great. He is (not) looking forward to getting spayed/neutered in the next few weeks and experiencing your kindness again….but his parents sure are. We know when we leave our animals in your care you treat them as your own. It’s a great relief to have a business like yours to depend upon in a crisis or for just a quick checkup. Thank you! When I first arrived in Cincinnati I would only bring my pets to the east side (Mariemont) vet. After going to Covedale Pet Hospital 1x - I will now never go any where else. They are fantastic. People who genuinely care about your family member. They are true animal lovers. They are kind and compassionate. Their pricing is incredible too. The physicians are second-to-none as well. They are true animal advocates not only in their professional life but personal life too. What could be better? Run. Don't walk people. If you have furry children, they need to meet these good folks. Experiencia fantástica: My two precious dogs (my children) have been patients of Covedale Hospital for 17 years. For starters the staff and vet techs provide excellent service. My two standout Star veterinarians are Dr. Obert (owner) and Dr. Fritzgibbon. They treated my dogs and I with integrity, patience and empathy regarding any issues. Dr. Obert did two surgeries for Cookie to remove Cancer tumors. I begged Dr. Obert to do the second surgery. He performed it successfully. God & Dr. Obert helped prolonged her time and health on this earth with me and I will be forever grateful. My Pomeranian Cleopatra unfortunately passed in 2020 at 10 years old. My Yorkers terrier mix Cookie lived 17 years. She was healthy and on no medications and I gave her healthy diet of boiled chicken, vegetables, sweet potatoes, brown rice. Unfortunately Cookie’s age eventually started to catch up to her and she could not walk anymore. Yesterday I had to make the difficult decision with love, to let her go “home to heaven”. The staff was incredibly patient, professional, and gave the upmost care and empathy to Cookie and I. I couldn’t imagine going to another veterinarian hospital to care for my fur babies. I highly recommend Covedale Animal Hospital to anyone to care for our fur babies.Rest in Peace Babies ️❤️

They treated that gave him his rabies shot and showed me how to give him his pain medication. He's more lively now and getting back to his old self. I'll be back again. Staff is very friendly.

Experiencia negativa: Worst day yesterday, had to put my 17 year old pup down. Dr Witalis didn’t help what I was going thru. She walked in and my sister who was with me gave me a look then I knew what vet it was. I’ve heard bad things about her. how she is uncaring and very cold. She did not even touch my dog. She leaned against the wall watched my pup circle around running into walls due to blindness, loosing his balance. All she said was maybe a brain tumor we can run tests to find out?? I said he’s 17 and suffering no test or procedure will help. Was all about the money

The examination and waiting areas were clean and the office staff helpful and friendly. Only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that I gave the information to get my pet’s records from prior vet and they said they would do. Luckily I double checked prior to the appointment as the had not obtained the records. The second contact did get the records so all was well.

Everyone was so kind and accommodating to us, even letting us leave with her out of the back door so we weren't blubbering messes through the front entrance. They even sent a condolences card. My other pets also go there and have been given the absolute best care.

Experiencia fantástica: I just want to tell the world or any one who takes the Time to see and read this that Tara, the receptionist and Amy the surgeon are so kind so thoughtful and helpful! It’s so hard to draw a line between a finances and care because everyone wants to help but it’s always going to be a cost! I called checking prices for an emergency spay and prolapse situation and although I was unable to get my dog seen there, they moved mountains with referrals and assistance, and was able to get someone to call me and help me get the help I needed for my pet! This is not their responsibility their problem and I’m not one of their Paying customers they did this at the kindness of their hearts, and that says a lot about who they are as people and as a company! They truly showed me today that they want what’s best for the animal. They’re not out looking for money. They’re truly in this Field because that’s what’s in their hearts! I would give 10 stars if I could!

Experiencia negativa: Great vets, friendly I had been going here and used to highly recommend them. But here lately they have dropped the ball one too many times and just will tell you oh sorry miscommunication. If it had just happened once I wouldn’t be so upset, but it has happened twice in three months time. It’s very frustrating. When mostly the miscommunication is between the front desk and the clients. when that miscommunication is costing my pet its quality of life or putting its life at risk because you miscommunicated something that becomes a problem. So unfortunately, I won’t be recommending them anymore . this is definitely disappointing as I said their value is wonderful. The vets are knowledgeable, but the rest of the staff drops the ball when it comes to making sure your pets get quality care and to me that is just unacceptable. It has put my pet in a situation of life or death now they did not receive a medication that was needed weeks ago and because of this miscommunication have now suffered .

Experiencia negativa: Very poor experience, especially with the pre-pay for appointments sometimes I’m required to sometimes I’m not. I guess it’s depending on who’s working the desk. I’ve trusted them with my pets health and to remind me through PetDesk of all of the refills and current medications the dog needs to have And I’ve gotten no reminders and I’ve gotten no medication that need to be refilled. My pet now has not been on heartworm medicine since 2023 which I know is my fault, but I also understand that they were there to remind me and help me through this I have taken Six times since she’s taken her last heartworm medicine, and I thought that they should have brought it up to my attention

Experiencia fantástica: Sadie is a small 5 lb. 20 year old cat. Her left jaw was swollen, and she had bad breath. Dr. Obert tried to pull the bad tooth if it was loose enough. It wasn't. He was able to extract a lot of pus. Sadie is now on antibiotics. Her jaw is back to normal and no bad breath. We are thrilled that she is doing well. I highly recommend Covedale for any veterinary problems. They are very thorough in their practice.

If your dog is over 75 pounds don’t bother bringing them in for an evaluation when it comes to doing the work they will only charge you and recommend going elsewhere, went through 3 checkups and over $500 in visits and got told the night before a scheduled sedation that they can’t actually perform any of the work and would have to send me elsewhere. All I got was a sorry and now have to start from square 1 with an entire new vet
