My dogs, Dexter and MoMo, have both received care here, and I have always felt supported, heard, and genuinely cared for. Dr. Kerl is not only incredibly knowledgeable and thorough, but deeply compassionate in the moments that matter most. When Dexter was diagnosed with cancer, she took the time to explain everything clearly, walk through options thoughtfully, and make sure I felt supported through some of the hardest decisions of my life. I never once felt rushed or alone in the process. Dexter passed away on February 5th due to his cancer, and I will forever be grateful for the care and dignity he was given. I also want to specifically thank Courtney for getting Dexter’s nose and paw prints for me. That small act of kindness means more than I can ever express and is something I will cherish forever. I wish I could remember and thank every single staff member by name, and I apologize for not being able to. Every person we encountered showed genuine compassion and kindness during an incredibly difficult time, and that meant everything to me. This team truly cares about their patients and the families who love them. I am so grateful that Dexter received such loving care, and that MoMo continues to be in such compassionate and capable hands.

Experiencia fantástica: Brought my Cavaliers in together for annual shots and exam. Normally they will take one back at a time to administer treatment but they noticed how stressful it was for both pups to be separated and took them both back at the same time to easy both. Dogs first, great vet practice. Highly recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: My French Bulldog, London needed BOAS surgery - after getting quoted $7,000 from a vet in Omaha we decided to call Ehlers Animal Care and schedule a consultation. We expected to still be quoted around $3-5k. After checking her out we got her on their books for two weeks out. Friday the 6th we dropped her off in the morning and picked her up in the later afternoon, a whole $434 later our girl was ready to go home. Dr Ehlers didn’t feel the need to do her nose as her nostrils seem to be big enough. Monday I had a couple concerns, so I called them and they squeezed me in & we were given some other meds and supplements to help curb some of the side effects she was having. Today she’s already so much better and starting to slowly be more of herself every day & most importantly, breathing so quietly and easier! I can’t thank Dr. Ehlers & her practice enough for helping our sweet girl.

Experiencia fantástica: Every doctor and every staff member there are incredible! I also run a rescue and we take our animals to Ehlers too. Actually, I moved my own animals there because of how amazing they are to every rescue animal that they have treated for us! I can’t even pick a favorite vet, they have all been great! Dr. Martin treated a kitten that was found and brought to our rescue with a severely injured leg. We knew it was likely needing removed and they took him and did the surgery that day and he is now thriving on three legs and pain free. I’ll put “Matcha’s Day at the vet” pics below! He was so loved when he was there!

Experiencia fantástica: Everyone is always very friendly and concerned about our furbabies and always very gentle with them and help them feel more relaxed and calm under the circumstances! This time we saw Brooke who went over above and beyond when we needed medications sent to us in Indiana on a vacation! So that was a few months ago but at this time she took both babies in and trim their toenails and so we had to have a shot or two and they both just came out with big smiles on their faces! Brook even came out and introduced herself to us before she did anything with the babes!! I have nothing but praise for this entire office. The front girls are always very accommodating and very friendly they always have come and love on the babies, the staff in the back is always very friendly knowledgeable and as worried about our babies as we are, and the doctors are just awesome Dr Ehlers and Dr Kerl and I would trust them to the ends of time with our babies.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been taking my dog, Spud, to Ehlers for several years. They have always treated Spud with care and concern. Unfortunately, Spuds health started going downhill the last few months. The doctors and support staff did a wonderful job providing treatment options and trying to make Spud comfortable. Sadly, the time came where things weren't going to get any better and it was time to say goodbye. Dr. Labenz and her assistant came to the house Friday to help Spud cross the Rainbow Bridge. They were very caring and gentle with him so he could pass peacefully. If I should get another fur buddy in the future, I would not hesitate to have Ehlers for all their veterinary needs. Thank you for all you do.

Experiencia fantástica: Excellent customer service ! They were the only vet to take emergency walk ins. They didn’t ask no questions at the front desk and led us straight into a room. Vet tech was extremely nice ! Veterinarian was also very nice ! They did not judge me upon asking a lot of questions when most vets would bat an eye. They’re very good pricing, we will be back for updated shots !! =)

From our "senior" dog Lucy to our newest 9 month old Otis the care our fur babies get is impeccable. The front desk, techs, and Vets are all compassionate and caring. Five paws for these folks! ***12/12/2025 Update *** We have had the unfortunate experience in the last 12 months of losing Jack (10 years) and Lucy (15 years) who were cared for all of their lives by the AMAZING staff and Vets. We have gained considerable time with Jack and Lucy due to the diligent care that the Ehlers care team provided. To Ehlers these aren't just pets they are family. 10 paws to Ehlers.

Experiencia fantástica: My dog had a UTI. I mistakenly made an appointment with an old vet. When I arrived at Ehlers they had no record of an appointment (of course). No worries, they didn't blink an eye, got me into an exam room almost immediately and we saw a vet who prescribed the needed meds and we were on our way. Fantastic experience. Despite not having an appointment, they worked us in, and it wasn't rushed - I felt like we got the same care as if I had been on the calendar. Thank you!

Experiencia negativa: Not good, I was not greeted when I walked in, on time for the dogs appointment, the woman just sat there and looked at me! I had to start the conversation! We were taken to an exam room, tec asked some questions, said " be back shortly" 35 minuets later! she comes back, tells me " the dog doesn't need to see a vet just update on vacc. ( i dont blame the tec, she was nice and took a second to get familiar with my dog)This is the second( in a row) bad visit to this clinic, and I have been bringing my dogs here since she opened her own clinic. Not any more. Update: Dr Ehlers called and left an apology message, that was appreciated.

Experiencia fantástica: It was our pleasure to return after being out of Lincoln, for 1 year. EHLERS is very sanitary & appts allow me to come in quickly. My suspicions of my dog having allergies, were thoroughly explained & any questions were answered. DR. EHLERS was very easy to talk with. She explained the med & talked about several options for future flee, tick, & worm protection. She also said they "price match" & assure we get the correct med that has been stored in the proper environment. All staff members are very pleasant & welcoming. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND EHLER'S ANIMAL CARE. M.Carroll OH, they even called 2day to see how the meds were working, & answer a cpl questions for me.

It felt so welcoming, right when we walked in the front door and was greeted by their team members. I loved the layout of the room where we waited for the doctor. My fur baby had plenty of room to walk around and get his sniffs. It was a nice change having the counter off to the side instead of creating separation between doctor and patient. Kat and Dr. Porter were great. They both introduced themselves to me and my dog. Even shook my hand. Took the time to get to know us, even sitting on the floor. It feels like client relationships are important to them. This is one thing we have been looking for. Thank you Ehlers Care team for a great first impression.

She had been on medication for yrs. but when it came to the end-of-life Maggie went quick she ate her supper went out to potty and fell over. Rush her to Ehlers but she was gone. Ehlers help us.

Experiencia fantástica: Our beautiful girl Ramsey was a patient of Dr. Ehlers for many years. She was diagnosed with lymphoma in April. Dr. Ehlers helped us develop the best treatment plan for her. We went weekly for her chemo treatments. The vet techs Maddy and Khirin were always so good with her. Unfortunately Ramsey’s chemo did not work for her but Dr. Ehlers fought hard to give us more time with our perfect girl. When it was time to make the difficult decision to let her go Dr. Ehlers was with my husband and I when we had to say goodbye. There are really no words to express our gratitude to Dr. Ehlers and staff. Their love and support shown to Ramsey and our family will never be forgotten. Rest easy Ramsey
