I never feel rushed as they give me time to ask questions and then they take the time to explain things to me. I've been happy with the PAW plan that I signed up for as the monthly rates are really reasonable. My dog got holiday pictures taken at the vet's recently after an appointment. The woman who took these pictures was so warm and patient, as my dog didn't want to stay still, and the pictures were even free. I was texted lots of pictures by the time I got out to my car. This is just another way that this vet clinic really shows that they care about the animals and the pet parents who bring them here.

Handling of our senior cat has been especially gentle. Dr. Martin is knowledgeable and current, has outstanding bedside manner, and is understanding about our concerns. Her communication is also clear and kind. The clinic itself is clean and calm. Recommend!

Dr. Holly Erickson saved my dog’s life and was so incredibly kind and supportive when she got sick. She also did my dog’s spay and I’ve never seen such nice suture lines on a spay! She also ensured she sutured her up really well and had cryoprecipitate on hand because my dog is a carrier for Von Wildebrands. Dr. Hoshen is amazing too, incredibly thoughtful and kind. And I have to mention all of the wonderful staff and assistants. Kayla is so knowledgeable, helpful, and kind. I don’t like calling places normally but as soon as I hear Kayla, I’m relieved.

Experiencia fantástica: This is a very good veterinary practice. It’s not the cheapest place to go, but they give your animals excellent care. For urgent matters, it’s not too hard to get an appointment the same week, and for more critical emergencies they will always take the animal as a drop off appointment and give them needed care. Vets are very good at updating owners. They also don’t charge for euthanasia if the animal is in continuous care with this clinic. They have care plans that can defray and spread out cost if your animal is likely to use the services included, and are willing to make limited payment plans for bigger bills. For me, it’s a short car ride (good for sensitive cats), the care is excellent and the staff is knowledgeable.

Experiencia fantástica: I was extremely nervous about my elderly cat being anesthetized to undergo a dental. I’ve had a couple bad experiences with pets and anesthesia before. Dr. Martin was so understanding of my worries and answered all my questions with compassion and honesty. She was even willing to touch base with me throughout the day to let me know how Simon was doing and how the procedure was progressing. Dr. Martin is a consummate professional, and everything I had been hoping for in a veterinarian to whom I could entrust Simon’s care. After his dental, he’s acting like he’s a whole five years younger. I cannot overstate how pleased I am with the care and service we received here. Thank you Manzano Animal Clinic!

Dr. Brie Wildgoose-Lister has been our vet since my spouse and I got married and got our greyhounds (Misty & Bobo) as a couple. She took care of them until the end. Then we got our new pups (Maci & Jersey) months later and we continued our care with them, even after moving 3.5 hours from Albuquerque. Since my husband passed and I moved to Las Cruces, and I will continue to use them, until Maci & Jersey are called to their heavenly home. I love the care Manzano provides.

I am moving abroad to a country with very strict animal travel restrictions, and Dr. Hoshen has been so incredibly helpful preparing the required documentation. She is so knowledgeable and went out of her way multiple times to make sure this process goes smoothly for me. My only “complaint” is that their phone seems to only accept one call at a time, so I’ve had a hard time getting ahold of the clinic when calling. However, texting the number listed on the website has worked great every time, so don’t let that deter you from choosing this place!

Couldn't give any straight answers and really was more concerned with pulling money out of my pocket then caring for my baby. Didn't even try to make a relationship with my baby. HIGHLY DO NOT recommend this place. And the prices for tests are higher than an emergency vet hospital. The tech and receptionist were very sweet and professional.

Experiencia fantástica: It was an amazing visit. My puppy had an ear infection. I am a teacher and cannot just take off in the middle of the day. Manzano let me drop him off in the morning. Drop off was quick and easy actually my daughter took him. And then I picked him up after school and he is so much better and he came home with all the medication he needed. He had a good time and made friends with his tech. I think they are awesome.

Experiencia negativa: I suggest avoiding Dr. Brianna Wildgoose-Lister. My elderly cat had a few days of diarrhea, so I brought him in for a checkup. I was able to add some pumpkin to his food, and the diarrhea went away, but I still wanted to bring him in due to his age. Dr. Wildgoose told me my cat looked healthy and there were no issues, but we could run some blood work to be sure. She told me that pumpkin wasn't a good source of fiber, and scholarly studies had shown that canned pumpkin was mostly sugar, so I should stop giving it to him. I was giving him pumpkin that was made especially for cat food as a topping, but I did listen to her and stop giving it to my cat. He got diarrhea again the next day. I began the pumpkin again, and it stopped, so I am sticking with what works. I am a professor myself, so I went searching for the scholarly literature she mentioned in my college's databases: I found nothing stating what she said. In fact, I found the opposite: pure pumpkin was said to be good for cats' gut health, especially if they are suffering from diarrhea. On the regular web, this was the same information I found. I even asked ChatGPT. So then, I started to suspect the doctor was gaslighting to purposely cause harm. I was shocked that the bloodwork cost $400, as I wasn't anticipating that price--it's about 10% of my monthly income. But I love my cat and wanted peace of mind. I lost another cat last year, and I just want to be sure I'm doing everything right. The doctor said I'd have results the next day. Two days passed, and I got no results. I called, because my cat had the diarrhea again from stopping the pumpkin as advised. They promised she'd call or email that day. Nothing. I waited a week, and by then I was mad and triggered. The receptionist was very kind to me, and she sent me my results right away. They'd had them the whole time. She still couldn't get the doctor to do her job and interpret them for me, and it seemed to be a pattern with this doctor to be lazy, but she was able to ask another vet to review them and communicate what I needed to understand. However, now I feel very strongly that this doctor is a predatory person, and I will never entrust my animals in the care of a fraudulent person without real emotional empathy for animals and people. I hope this clinic realizes you've got a problem on your hands with this doctor. For patients: avoid that doctor at all costs. Predators come in all careers, and they love to have power over the vulnerable, and some of them get their supply from animals and from misleading and neglecting those who are supposed to be able to trust them. It gives them feelings of power and importance, and it projects their misery onto others. Even if a person lacks emotional empathy, for 10% of my income, the very least I deserve is to have my results in a timely manner. I never did anything to this woman to deserve such poor treatment and neglect. And my cat deserves gentle and loving care. Updated after their reply: I think the reply further shows the poor character of this doctor. She is focused on the cost (I paid the cost, but a head's up would've been nice when it was suggested and recognition of the fact that the cost warrants a reply is the bare minimum for professional conduct). She ignores the fact that her duties were neglected by failing to provide me the results for a week. She is twisting what she said about fiber supplements. She is also hiding behind saying "we" suggested: there was no "we." It was only this doctor, and even the receptionist seemed frustrated by her, as if the behavior is a pattern. Pretty classic behavior of an abusive person with shame avoidance. AVOID HER.

It was interesting that our dog was shivering like crazy when she realized we were at Monzano. But, once inside, she quieted down and even looked happy, even after a minor procedure.

The past two years have been touch and go with him but he loves going to see all the beautiful faces there, wagging his tail, loving the attention even if it’s a B-12 injection visit. We feel we are in the very best hands and when referred to a specialist last year, that was also a great experience. Our fur babies are family and Manzano feels like family too!

Experiencia negativa: Very disappointed, I've been taking my kitten to this clinic, because of how close it is, my most recent visit is the reason why I feel obligated to leave a review now, I brought my kitten in for a evaluation on his eye which turned out to have a cyst, The visit cost me around $130. In my eyes all they did was look at his eyes and tell me what it may or may not be, but they informed me that I could take him to another clinic that could give a diagnosis/treatment options, and that they would be in contact with me within 1-2 days that week. That was January 29th and I still haven't heard anything.
