Experiencia negativa: I didn’t have a great experience spent almost 300 dollars to basically be told they couldn’t do anything for my Starr, the vet told me he would check to see if any of the other doctors in the office would be willing to do a procedure I needed to fully diagnose my Starr, instead he went and got the practice manager. Would’ve preferred if he was honest instead of making it seem like there was a chance the could help me save my baby. 300 dollars wasted they didn’t offer any medicine for pain or anything to comfort her. I don’t recommend this facility.

Experiencia positiva: Great low cost vet. We found a stray kitten and took him in for the routine shots and exam. He had a bad fungal infection which we didn't know. The vet got a black light and, in the dark, showed us the fungal issue. They also handled his medication in house so we did not need to go to a seperate pharmacy. Caution to All -- They are very busy, so don't wait if you need to get your fur baby a check up or vaccinated.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been extremely happy with the service at Low Cost Pet Vets. I found this office shortly after moving to Dallas and have been coming here since I had just one dog—now I have two. Despite taking my dog to regular vet visits back home, Dr. Litsey was the first person to identify a heart murmur, that alone earned my trust. Since then, I’ve continued bringing both of my fur babies here and have been more than satisfied every single visit. The professionalism is consistent across the board—from the young ladies at the front desk, to the vet techs, and Mario. If you’re looking for a veterinarian you can trust, this is absolutely the place to go.

Experiencia negativa: Professional but I don’t recommend anyone to euthanize your pet here. They are inconsiderate and only want your money. Also the techs are mainly women and are not the friendliest. Like come on I’m here for my pet not for any awkward moments. And on top of that after I asked if the paw prints were included with the euthanasia package I chose, the tech told me yes, only for her to call me 20 minutes later to change her mind and charge me an additional $45 which was a like a slap in the face. Overcrowded and overpriced Update- I never received a scanned paw print. And I paid extra for my paw print I have the receipt for it. I wasn’t a walk in I had an appointment. Please note as I grieve for my pet, such a condescending response from a business as I grieve proves this isn’t the correct place to take your pet for euthanasia.

Experiencia negativa: I had taken my dog Sky here several months ago for her rabies vaccine and I will definitely not be back. The environment was chaotic and overcrowded, and to top it off I never received my dogs rabies certificate via email. Which the lady at reception had clearly told me they would email me this important information. I only got the rabies tag which is essentially useless since it doesn’t have the due date or when it was administered. I’ve been trying to get a hold of the clinic for several weeks now to try and get them to email me the information I should’ve gotten months ago. There has been no response back, the automated message says they check their voicemail box twice a day which is total lie. I will now have to take my dog to go get her rabies shot somewhere else again, it was a waste of my time and money at low cost vet. Have a good day.

Experiencia fantástica: We had a great experience taking our 3 month old Great Pyrenees rescue yesterday. Our vet tech, Jonathan, was so sweet and gentle with our shy boy. The vet came in shortly after Koa was checked in and the vaccine process was as painless as possible. All in all a wonderful experience. Experiencia fantástica: I have been a client here several times with my two dogs and have had good experiences every time. The last visit on 10/17/25 was exceptional though. Alison checked us in and was very friendly, we were a walk in and they accommodated me even though they were extremely busy. Mario is a saint, he was extremely helpful and I can’t thank him enough for his kindness, I was by myself with my baby and dog so it was a bit of a struggle but he made it much easier. Judith was my tech and was also very friendly. Thank you all so much for taking care of us and being so kind.

Experiencia negativa: This vet would not continue to see my dogs because he thought he had a right to determine how my dogs name could be spelled. BRODY OR BRODIE. I THOUGHT HE SHOULD BE INTERESTED IN THE CARE OF OUR PETS, NOT HOW WE SPELL THIER NAME. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND HIM TO A FAMILY OR FRIEND. HE HAS HIS PRIORITIES TOTALLY MIXED UP. Experiencia fantástica: My little dog has to go in for teeth cleaning, which is normal. These folks are great. They tell me everything that's going to happen as well as what could happen (there's always a possibility) They are definitely Low Cost. I just wish they would take Care Credit. They have something similar, but was already set with Care Credit. They are busy, they do more than just teeth. If you need shots, spay/neuter, or emergency for your furbaby, give them a call.

Experiencia fantástica: I loved the clinic from the first visit. I have two dogs, both treated at this clinic. In October my 7-year-old dog underwent surgery for teeth care and I took the opportunity to neuter him. I mention this situation in particular because this was the only situation in which I felt (on the day of the surgery) and I still feel (to this day) that something is "wrong", I thought my dog ​​would come back tired, haggard, but it seems to have received a dose of Long life adrenaline. On the day of the surgery I thought it was a rebound effect of the anesthesia, but it's been 2 months and my dog ​​behaves as if he were young, I haven't seen him with all that energy, joy and willingness to chase and play since he was a puppy. .... My husband and I wonder if it's really the same dog (yes it's the same dog) But totally renewed, the dog that used to play at one point or another of the day and was soon tired, now doesn't miss the opportunity to grab my legs and call me to "combat". I suggested my spouse to go through the same surgical procedure lol. Thanks to everyone at the clinic, and if you talk to Noah, let him know we miss you.

Experiencia fantástica: 9/2025 Update: May be over booking. When my appointment is at 9a. I got here 15 minutes early and now I’m 20 minutes past my appointment time. Not good. When you have something else to do afterwards and the vet office is behind schedule is annoying. My question is who’s not on schedule? Maybe you need to include in that time what’s going to truly happen in the visit. Something has to give!!! Nice office and enforcement of COVID-19 protocol. My dog loves coming and doesn't have any issues getting vaccinations. Been a patient since I got my dog three years ago and definitely worth the value if you really take good care of your pet.

Experiencia negativa: I took my dog to Low Cost Pet Vet in June 2025. Even with an appointment, we waited over 30 minutes to be seen. I informed the vet tech that my dog had discharge after urinating now and then, but I had gotten extensive tests and multiple opinions from vets who advised AGAINST additional testing, due to negative tests and no additional symptoms. The vet tech seemed extremely inexperienced given they had to draw my dog’s blood numerous times due to being unsuccessful. When Dr. Terry Litsey walked into the exam room, he was cold, rude, unprofessional, and immediately recommended numerous tests ran on my dog. I politely declined, given I had already spent close to $1k previously on tests that all came back as negative. Dr. Litsey touched my dog’s stomach for 30 seconds and abruptly left the exam room. He was visibly offended and upset I declined additional tests that would have brought the business significant profit. I paid for an annual exam, but clearly did not receive one. Later that day, I called the office and asked if an actual “annual exam” could be performed on my dog when she came in for a dental cleaning, given Dr. Litsey did not perform an annual exam. I asked to speak to a manager and was told he would give me a call. Subsequently, I received an email from Lost Cost Pet Vet titled “Client Termination Letter.” If you speak up about ANY concerns, you will be sent a client termination letter. I decided to do some research and discovered Dr. Litsey was formally charged by the Texas Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners on October 30, 2012 regarding a dog he put under for a teeth cleaning that passed away under his care. Please please be careful and do your research. Look up Litsey Animal Hospital’s reviews (practice Dr. Litsey previously owned.)

Experiencia fantástica: Let me start by saying from the first initial phone call to set an appointment with this veterinary office was nothing short of amazing. The Exchange with the receptionist from day one was welcoming and very, very professional. I arrived about 30 minutes early to insure that they had everything they needed from me to make the visit as smooth and pleasant as possible. I must apologize for not getting the assistance’s name, but she was top notch in getting me and my family member (dog) ready to see the vet. Dr. Case is one of the most knowledgeable and patient people I’ve ever met in the industry and I would recommend her and her staff to anyone who is looking for a vet who will care for your pet as if it were her very own. Experiencia negativa: We took a stray rescue dog here to be checked out and was told she was heart worm positive (they did not show us the positive test) so we bought the first round of meds for this. Fast forward and we had her retested at TCAP and guess what? She's actually NEGATIVE. So you can decide what your thoughts are on this.....

Experiencia fantástica: I had a great experience with my Vet Tech Luis. He asked alot of probing questions to understand what was happening to my pet. I traveled a long way from from my home as I heard that this location was very nice and accommodating and at a reasonable price which it was. The closer vets in my area charge nearly 4 times as much for one visit as it was here. I enjoyed that they gave me the prices upfront and let know the process step by step. If I could ask for one thing it would be to get the names of the medicine and some time to look for the medicine online for a cheaper price to help those of us with tight budgets but overall a great experience and will be sure to recommend and come back again.

Experiencia negativa: As a fellow Aggie and a physician, it pains me deeply to write this review, but I believe it’s important to hold professionals accountable when they fail to meet basic standards of service and ethics. My initial visit to this clinic in 2023 was positive. However, my recent experiences have been nothing short of appalling and reflect a complete lack of professionalism, empathy, and accountability, especially from the management. I contacted the clinic during a genuine emergency. My young dog, only 1.5 years old, had suffered multiple tick bites, and I was in full panic mode trying to get him seen. To my disbelief, the staff claimed they had no record of me or my pet, even though I have physical documentation from my previous visit. Instead of trying to understand or resolve the situation, the manager blamed me and my girlfriend, accusing us of somehow erasing our own records or mismanaging the account. He insisted all my pet’s information had been placed under my girlfriend’s name and refused to accept any fault on their part. Even more concerning: if your clinic has a policy stating that changes to an account require confirmation from the account holder, why was no attempt made to contact me before altering or merging records? That in itself is a breach of trust and responsibility. Eventually, after significant effort and frustration, I requested two separate accounts, one for my pets under my name and one for my girlfriend’s pets. We finally got an appointment in 2 weeks. But the nightmare didn’t end there. When I later called regarding a Bravecto prescription for my pet, again, during a time-sensitive tick concern, I was told the dog had to be weighed before any medication could be dispensed. I explained the urgency and that my girlfriend (who was returning from work) knew our dog's exact weight and that he weighs under 22 pounds. I asked if an exception could be made, considering the circumstances. Instead of offering understanding or compassion, the manager curtly responded, "That sounds like her problem, not ours." I reiterated that I am graduating from medical school, have no time to bring in the dog myself, and that this was an urgent concern. Instead of responding professionally, the manager chose to lecture me on medical ethics. The call ended civilly. I never raised my voice or used inappropriate language. Then, without warning, I received a termination notice via text message cancelling all future appointments and ending the clinic’s relationship with us, without a single conversation explaining why. I’ve made multiple attempts to speak with the manager (I believe his name is Noah), all of which were ignored. When I finally got through today, I was told I would not be allowed to speak a single word and the staff simply hung up on me. Let me be clear: I have dealt with difficult, even distressed, families as a medical professional. But I have never resorted to severing patient relationships over something this trivial, especially not when a client is clearly acting out of concern and fear for their pet’s health. The manager’s behavior was not just unprofessional; it was cold, petty, and punitive. Instead of diffusing the situation or taking the opportunity to rebuild trust, he chose to escalate and erase. Dr. Rod, is this truly the standard you expect from your staff? Is this how your clinic treats returning clients in distress, by gaslighting them, ignoring their concerns, and silencing their attempts to communicate? I’m both saddened and appalled by how this situation was handled. I sincerely hope you reevaluate how your team engages with clients in emergency situations and reassess what professionalism means in a healthcare setting, veterinary or otherwise.

Experiencia fantástica: I love LCPV. I’ve been going to them for years back when I was a broke grad student living in Irving. I have since moved out of the city but still make the drive to see them as they take such good care of my girl. Anything from routine visits to dental care to emergent splenectomy surgery they have always taken the absolute best care of us. Just because they’re affordable doesn’t mean they skip out on quality of care and compassion. Thank you to the doctors and techs who make LCPV great.

Experiencia negativa: If you have breeds like pit bulls, American bullies or what people would classify as “aggressive breeds” (even though they’re not) this place will look at your dog like he/she is some type of beast. We took our boy there for their vaccine clinic and all the people that worked there (even the doctor) were pretty dismissive of Judah. They weren’t friendly or welcoming they barely acknowledged him and I know it’s because he’s a 182lbs bully. There was one girl that checked us in who was nice but the rest of them pretty much just wanted Judah to avoid them and all other dogs. Please keep in mind our boy is not aggressive, he’s playful and loving. I should’ve just paid the extra 20-25$ at other places for his vaccinations to avoid the looks I got because of the breed of my dog. Maybe it was because they were tired and this place was busy but regardless your body language and the looks you give are clearly seen by others and your staff should be a little more professional and accepting of ALL breeds not just the ones that are 8lbs and only reach as high as your ankles. Definitely not the place for us!

Experiencia negativa: Don't waste your time or your pets wellbeing. I made an appointment for 3 weeks later, for a second opinion on surgery. A really long time frame for such issue. When I arrive for appointment, none was found.

Experiencia negativa: If I could put 0 stars I would! Horrible experience as a new patient and my pet’s first time at a Vet. I will not be returning and I would suggest anyone else to look at other places with affordable prices. My pet and I left traumatized!

Experiencia fantástica: On Wednesday I had a dental check up appointment for my dog Lili. Our vet Destiny was very kind, patient, and understanding. My dog gets very anxious when it comes to going to pet visits so it meant a lot. They took her to the back and assessed her in which they did so in a timely manner. Once Lili came back they gave an estimate of what would be needed. Destiny explained the process as well as the payment method. She explained everything throughly and was great.

Experiencia fantástica: I loved it, I went with my puppy Teddy with severe problems with his skin, they gave me medication for him, and in just 2 weeks Teddy completely recovered, I feel very grateful to the Low Cost Pet Vet teams.

It's nice to be able to comfortably care for my pet. They are great in telling you ahead of time what the cost will be. For sure a blessing to have them as my pet vet!!

Experiencia fantástica: Shout out to Daniel & Marlene! I have been taking my 4 dogs to Low Cost Pet Vax mobile clinics in the Mesquite area for several years now. They all need vaccines in different months, so I'm there 3-4 times a year. They are always extremely friendly, helpful, professional, and quick. They even go out of their way to support one of my dogs who is dog-sensitive. Daniel has given my dogs their shots every time and he is so diligent to tell you, the person, what each shot is called before administering the vaccine. I never feel confused or ignored. He answers our questions and provides information and recommendations for heartworm and flea prevention. When it's time to check out, Marlene reviews what your pet received and is so friendly and kind. The mobile clinic team in Mesquite is all together amazing and friendly. They work hard no matter the heat or cold. And the easy online check-in system is a great improvement! I love being able to access all my dogs' records at any time. I can't recommend them enough!!

Experiencia fantástica: The Staff was very nice when I walked through the door they greeted me and I was taken in and checked in right away . When my dog got his shots they were very gentle with him and they let me know everything they were doing cause I was confused lol .

Experiencia fantástica: Thanks Daniel for taking time to explain how the Low Cost Pet Vet mobile unit works. I met Daniel while leaving a convenience store and asked him a few questions. Daniel was Uber Polite giving detail to when, where, and how to connect to take advantage of the Pet Vaccinations. The truck he was driving was pulling what appeared to be a mobile pet vaccinations trailer. He wasn't rushed nor did he seem to be bothered by my questions. This is the type of person you want when you have concerns about your pet. Thanks again for your time and attention to detail. Daniel is certainly an asset to the Low Cost Pet Vet brand.

Experiencia fantástica: I brought my dog to be evaluated for a dental cleaning. This is my fourth visit to LCPV., and I am so glad I found this practice . A real person always answers the phone, or when I had to leave a message once my call was returned promptly. The women at the front desk are consistently thoughtful and nice. When I go to pay my bill, I do not feel like I am being price gouged. I feel confident that the vets are making the right diagnosis and treatment plan . At my last visit, the vet tech, Caleb, was exemplary. He explained everything, was knowledgeable, and obviously cared a lot about animals. Going to the vet has the potential to be very stressful for owner and animal, but I feel confident and peaceful when we have to visit.

Saved another dogs leg when another vet said they only thought about amputation at that point. Back to peace of mind. Not to mention they have very affordable options for their mobile clinic too!

Experiencia fantástica: My Carter was a patient here for years & throughout all of those years we unfortunately had become familiar faces due to Carters health issues but with every time came the best customer service. The staff always made us and especially Carter feel special. Today we had to put our bby to rest and Caleb ( who has been an amazing tech every visit ) & the best most kindest Dr.Gosch made such a heartbreaking moment into a comforting experience given the fact. I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way for my Carter. Thank you Low Cost Pet Vet. I will refer every person I know so that they too can have the best care for their special fur babies.

Experiencia fantástica: This was our first visit with Low Cost Pet Vet. I was very pleased with how open and clean the front lobby is. There is plenty of room to keep your animals separated from others if you desire. The vet tech Jonathan was kind, calm and thorough with both of my dogs. You are able to have your entire visit and pay in the exam room so you can leave without having to stand at the front desk while your animals want to leave. Dr. Mon was very careful and thorough with getting the history of both my Labs. My 11 year old Labs were calmer in this environment than they have ever been at previous vets. I recommend this vet clinic!

Experiencia fantástica: The staff is very friendly and they walk you through the cost of everything and what they are doing in detail. The lobby is always clean and comfortable and they get you into an exam room quickly which is nice since my dogs get super excited around new animals. The technicians are so nice and informative and make you and your pet feel comfortable. My puppy has gotten all of his shots here and just got neutered here. I dropped him off at 8am and got a call at 11am that he was ready. It was a very smooth process and he is doing great!

Experiencia negativa: They scheduled me for Thursday I get a text it’s for Wednesday. I texted them they mixed up their days. I got a text saying they moved me to Thursday. As I’m already on my way their. They said they already canceled it. I arrive still pay the whole fee of 45 plus 20 deposit. The exam was terrible my dog was frightened they checked her for 1 minutes gave me no recommendations besides mixing her dog food. I kept asking what I should give her and do. Vet didn’t greet my dog nor make her feel comfortable once in his seconds of touching her. Don’t take your pet for the exam. I went out of my way to come here for no reason.

Experiencia fantástica: accidentally showed up the wrong date for my dogs appointment & veronica at the front was able to accommodate us to still have us seen the same date. I was able to have my dog seen & taken care of by her doctor the same day. This place is wonderful & I’ll continue to bring all 4 animals here!

Experiencia negativa: Things started out so well with this vet. I had previously given them a 5 star review. Then they went all Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde on me when I wanted a prescription for dog food. I bought the first bag of dog food through their pharmacy. Then I found Amazon had a much better limited time price so I told them I wanted to fill my next prescription with Amazon pharmacy. The first person i talked to told me I would have to rip up my paper prescription and text them a photo of the ripped prescription. Then they would charge me $12.50 to call in the prescription to Amazon. I did so and asked them to confirm receipt of the text. They never responded and Amazon canceled my order because they couldn't get in touch with the vet. I called the vet. A 2nd person told me that they could not call in the order to Amazon. That Amazon would have to call them, but that they never received a call from Amazon. She suggested i try Chewy. I got online and saw that Amazon no longer had the very low sales price on the food. So I ordered it from Chewy (It was still less than the Low Cost Pet Vax price). I then received a call from Chewy saying they would need me to upload a copy of the paper prescription. I called the vet since i had ripped the first one according to their instructions. I explained all this to the Practice Manager (a third person). But he told me that he was told that I no longer wanted to do business with them so they would not reissue me a paper prescription and they were firing me as a client. I never told them I didn't want to do business with them any more, but rather I wanted to fill my prescription with a different pharmacy (which the Practice Manager indicated was my right during our conversation). Yet he insisted that I said that I didn't want to do business with them so they would no longer do business with me. They are not as professional as I first thought they were.

I want to a big shoutout to Destiny for helping me on explaining me the annual package of vaccines. She was very patient with all the questions that I asked. Overall I would recommend going to this place. Very affordable prices.

Experiencia fantástica: Caught them when they came to Advanced Auto Parts on highway 3 to get both my boys their shots. This was mentioned through a neighborhood app and I'm very thankful for these people! Loved that it was not only close,but it was very cost efficient! My dogs took to the workers well and their patience was so amazing. Appreciate it being outside since I believe this aided in the comfortable environment. Having that peace of mind knowing your fur babies are covered is "priceless"

Experiencia negativa: First clinic ever that I have ever visited that has declined care to a sick pet. The website states, “ Low-Cost Walk In Vet Care & Same-Day Appointments“. It goes on to say, “ We reserve walk-ins and same-day appointments for pets that need more urgent vet care. Priority is given to more urgent appointments and current clients.” We came in on a Monday around 3:30pm there were no guest in the waiting area and the office was quiet. I explained that my puppy was severely ill would not eat and is very lethargic. To my disappointment no questions were asked and immediately we were told we are not a walk in clinic the first available appt is next Thursday. Your website is very misleading. If walk ins are not allowed no exceptions please make adjustments to your website.

Experiencia positiva: They have an efficient process to get your pet vaccinated at different locations in Dallas and other areas. While the cost is definitely lower, be aware that they give vaccines that are valid only for a year. So now your pet has to go through this process every year. It maybe be better to get a 3 year vaccine at another vet.

Experiencia positiva: I appreciated the warm welcome from the staff, but I felt that there was some inconsistency in the pricing information. I received an initial estimate for my 44-pound dog’s dental cleaning that ranged from $229 to $314. However, upon arrival, the estimate jumped to between $699 and $1,600. This pricing is comparable to what I pay at my regular vet, which doesn't align with the low-cost services advertised. I hope they can improve their communication regarding estimates.

Experiencia fantástica: I bring my dog and my cat to this vet and they are wonderful. The front desk staff are super friendly and always go above and beyond for my furbabies. The doc is kind and efficient, never rushing me when I have questions.
