Negative experience: Dr.pun is very rude and contradicting, doesn’t let me talk and back tracks on her own suggestions. I can’t trust a professional that can’t remember what she says and builds hostility from the start.

Fantastic experience: I took my dog into see Dr. Solis yesterday. She is an amazing veterinarian. She was very caring, and concerned, about my dog. My dog had an infection that another local veterinarian (who I won’t name) charged a lot of money but her treatments failed. Dr. Solis knew exactly what to do and handled the infection. My dog is feeling much better today. I’m very grateful for all that she’s done for him. I’ll definitely be back and I highly recommend this veterinarian hospital.

Fantastic experience: Thank you to Dr. Wright and all of the staff at Ontario Veterninary Hospital, they have always been able to provide solutions to the problems we have with our dog Bougas. He went in for a dental cleaning under anesthesia and our furry friend came out looking so much better. Everyone there is so friendly and caring.

Fantastic experience: I love OVH. They were there for us when we lost our first two fur babies (Lilly & Mackie) just month’s apart. Now they continue with the awesomeness with our new fur babies Benny & Oso. We can’t thank the staff enough. Positive experience: Update: Recent visit went well. The staff is spotty in regards to their service and bed side manner. I have always had a good impression until recently. They forgot to schedule an appointment, bait and switch prices, and overall felt like things were mismanaged. If you ever get told anything, get it in writing.

Negative experience: My dog died the day after bringing him in for his weekly hip injection. I beg you, do not bring you babies here if you want them to live. We went in to request records and to potentially receive some answers. The vet tech/receptionist’s reaction was filled with defensiveness, blame, and callousness. Do not expect a morsel of care or empathy from this team. To everyone working here, you should be ashamed of yourselves for the way you treat people in mourning. Why you are working in such a sensitive field is astonishing to me. One of the vet techs blatantly blamed my dad for not specifying which injection my dog was receiving while on the phone with their new receptionist. I asked why my dog was mistakenly given an allergy shot when he was only set to receive his weekly injection for his hips. She claimed that it was not specified which injection my dog needed, and that the brand new receptionist didn’t know so she assumed. Are you kidding me?! So medical decisions and procedures rely on your new receptionist’s judgment? That’s reassuring. This is unacceptable, irresponsible, and cruelty to animals. Take accountability and do better for others. Oh, and learn how to read your charts before injecting an animal!

Fantastic experience: Ontario Vet Hospital was recommended to me by a neighbor. I have brought both of my dogs here and I am so grateful to have found them. My senior GS had a nasty ear infection that Dr. Opstad, Dr. Wright and their amazing vet nurses helped clear up. They were so gentle and loving with her. Currently, my other smaller senior dog is being cared for by Dr. Pun. She is always at ease when Dr. Pun assesses her or the vet techs take her back for procedures. I appreciate Dr. Pun's kindness, attentiveness and the time she takes to educate us about her health. I want to emphasize how much I appreciate the vet nurses and front desk staff as well. They are always so kind and sweet to my dogs which is huge difference compared to VCA who is literally just a 2 blocks away from us. We live about 20 miles away from Ontario Vet Hospital, but it is 100000% worth the drive. I highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Love Ontario Veterinary Hospital. Great staff, friendly and caring. Wouldn’t take our pets anywhere else

Negative experience: Took in my struggling cat. They prescribed a medication to resolve the problem and then my cat was soo lethargic, I called, they said bring her back. Then they told me they basically overdosed/poisoned my cat. They said we could lower the doses and continue treatment, but then the Vet/owner come own with his Del Taco taco in hand to talk to me after I waited an hour for a resolution! So rude and disgusting, he couldn't even put down his food to come and talk to me! He basically sold me on the horror and all the reasons why I shouldn't continue the treatment for my cat, and THEN said but if you want to continue we can take her in the back and talk. I was in disbelief and words cannot describe his lack of empathy and compassion for the situation. DO NOT GO HERE! They killed my cat without a care in the world!

Negative experience: I was disappointed with my experience at this animal hospital. After reading so many positive reviews, I decided to give it a try. My appointment was scheduled for 3:30 PM, and I arrived early at 3:00 PM to ensure I wouldn’t be late. Of course, that was my fault. Since my dog doesn’t do well around other dogs, the staff advised me to wait in the car and said they would call when a room became available. After waiting over 30 minutes, I called at 3:43 PM to check if there was an estimated wait time for a room. While I understand delays can happen, the receptionist was rude and made me feel like I was at fault for their bad scheduling issues. One of the reasons I chose this hospital was a review that mentioned they were punctual. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. By 4:00 PM, I had been waiting in my car in 95-degree heat for an hour. Again, that was my fault, since I was there too early. At that point, I decided to leave. They ended up calling me at 4:26 PM—nearly an hour after my scheduled appointment. Between the long wait, lack of communication, and unprofessional attitude, I decided to make an appointment elsewhere. I won’t be returning. I don't want to read their rebuttal as everything I just wrote is accurate. UPDATE: This response confirms everything I was concerned about. Instead of taking accountability, they became defensive and once again placed the blame on me. How were both incidents my fault? In one instance, I simply arrived early. No one informed me that there was an air-conditioned room available for pets who don’t get along with others. Had I known, I would have gladly chosen that option. Instead, I was told to wait in my car. Their condescending response further highlights their lack of professionalism. I don’t need unsolicited advice on how to interact with others, nor do I appreciate their dismissive tone. Their response only reinforces my decision to take my business elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: The staff is so amazing! They were all so patient and helpful. Dr. Wright is the best veterinarian doctor that I have ever met. He gave me so many options to treat our dog’s sore ankle. We will forever be returning customers for the simple fact that they don’t do extra procedures when they don’t need to. They don’t over price anything and they definitely understand that this is a family member that you’re bringing into their hospital. I won’t go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: Just came to pick up my dog from boarding. Which I have done several times. It's nice to board my dog at my veterinary office just in case anything could arise where she needs medical attention. Been coming to Ontario Veterinary Hospital for almost 20 years.

Negative experience: Just to start with, i've been coming to doctor wright for 20+ years. Up until last month I've always. I've had the best care and treatment there. There was a new vet that I've seen for the first time. They did a very poor examination of my cat it just consisted of I'm looking at her quickly not checking anything about her. Except for listening to her heart, and lungs. But most other times they will look at overall health as well. But this vet just did a very quick examination and then stepped back from her, not engaging her or nothing, she has been shown signs of they're coughing and hacking. This vet made me feel my concerns were not valid. He dismissed me as well as belittled with my concerns I felt. I left that visit feeing betrayed that they could have service like that Dr. Wright has always, hired amazing vets and it's vet i felt doesnt care about your pets, i felt did not listen or show concern. So I took my furbaby to a new vet, after a real examination they gave me a diagnosis of what is going on. And what I need to do to help her. I hope in the future that Dr. Wright can hire better vets again that care about the welfare of your furbabies.

Fantastic experience: Came here 2 times in the last three years. And let me tell you, there's staff is amazing and very caring. Different estimates were presented to me with detailed explanations. They answered all my questions with patience and understanding. I had to put my dog to rest last week due to a coyote attack... my son and I didn't feel alone, even though our hearts were breaking.....but the love felt from the staff made it a little better. Thank you to the staff for your compassion.

Fantastic experience: Great, caring staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful. My kitty, Muzet, was there for surgery and I would call for updates during her stay; I could tell she was in good hands. I never felt that I was being a bother. The staff would let me know how she was doing and even give me personal observations. Very happy with everyone from the front staff to the techs to my vet.

Fantastic experience: Great vets and staff. Communicative, helpful, treats the animals with care and compassion. All animal care is expensive. However, Ontario Vet quoted me the same price as another Vet in Upland but provided more services. My dog needed some teeth extracted and the rest cleaned. Due to a slight heart murmur, OVH recommended an ultrasound and blood work to ensure my boy could handle the anesthesia and surgery. The vet in Upland did not offer or recommended this service but was quoting me nearly the same price as OVH. His procedure went well, bad breath is gone, and his remaining teeth are nice and white. Thank you OVH for taking care of my boy.

Fantastic experience: My whole family has come here. This was my first time and I was so impressed. Everyone was friendly and treated my kitties with care. Dr Wright was hilarious and knowledgeable. So upbeat and made my experience amazing. They truly care about your pet and I am so glad I brought my babies here. 10/10

Fantastic experience: These wonderful people were able to see my Simba on a moments notice! The vet techs are knowledgeable and very helpful. The veterinarian was a compassionate lady that sorted my boy out in one visit. Forever thankful

Negative experience: About a year ago, took my little dog Lily to the clinic she had a broken leg, after taking her every week for more than a month to have the bandage changed, they told me that they had to cut off her leg because according to them it would no longer work, that she would get osteoporosis or cancer, we did not want them to do it and in less than two weeks she was running with all four legs, this last time Lily had a tumor on one of her legs and we took her back, clarifying that it was not the same one that had broken they operated on her but they did not suture it well and my dog died that night from bleeding to death, I have three more dogs, but I will never return to that clinic

Negative experience: It is with a heavy heart that I write this review. On November 29th, my sister entrusted this facility with the care of her two male kittens, Logan and Chester, to be neutered. Tragically, both passed away shortly afterward, Logan on Sunday, December 1st, and Chester today, December 2nd. The sorrow and heartbreak my sister has experienced are immeasurable, and it is deeply concerning that this event appears to stem from negligence. Whether the individual performing the surgeries lacked adequate training or something else went wrong, this level of care is unacceptable. Families entrust their beloved pets to vet professionals expecting them to return healthy, not to endure preventable suffering and loss. Logan and Chester were just 12 weeks old—vibrant, healthy, and full of joy. To my sister, they were her beloved fur babies, not just "another case." It's devastating that a simple procedure led to such a tragic end. When Chester began to struggle with breathing this morning, we sought help from another vet, as we could not risk returning him to the same facility. Diagnostic tests, including X-rays, revealed that he had developed an infection from the procedure. This infection caused blood clots, which eventually filled his lungs, leading to his untimely and agonizing death. This is not something that should ever happen. Proper surgical protocols and post-operative care are essential, especially for such young and fragile animals. I am sharing this experience in the hope that no one else will have to endure the heartbreak my sister has faced. Pets are not just animals, they are cherished members of our families. Facilities like this must be held accountable for the quality of care they provide. For anyone considering this place for their pets, I strongly urge you to reconsider. If I could give a negative rating, I would. Please, for the sake of your beloved pets, choose a facility that prioritizes their safety and well-being.

Fantastic experience: This place is amazing. Adam is an awesome person and an incredible veterinarian. My dog has had some rough times and Adam has kept him healthy, happy and alive. Bring your pet here and I guarantee you'll be a return customer and happy about it.

Fantastic experience: We highly recommend Burford Veterinary Hospital. Not only do they take the time to familiarize themselves with your pet, they remember them! You just feel like family. Owning a pet is a financial and personal obligation. It is vital to follow instructions as required. In my experience, sometimes what you may expect isn't the end result. The staff are so thorough, we went in for shots, they thoroughly examined the girls to ensure there were no underlying conditions (which would change the trajectory of the visit) and confirmed they were healthy albeit a little chunky. We got our shots and off to Texas we go. Do not hesitate to make them your pets caregiver. We were blessed to have found them. Thank you

Negative experience: Never got an appointment, had to wait weeks for an appointment to then give them a follow up phone call because we never received a confirmation email or ANYTHING. Then was told I would have to wait a few more weeks. Just know. If you are a working person, they are not reliable

Fantastic experience: I been going here for years and they are always kind and friendly to my dogs. Their immediate response is always to help the pet and provide a step by step on how to further care and treat your pet to the best of your ability. I appreciate the patience and knowledge from everyone the moment you walk in.

Negative experience: I literally use to love going here! The staff was so sweet. Up until not that long ago.. I am not sure if they got new staff or what happened.. but there was an employee there that was just having the worst attitude.. I came up to the desk and there were two employee. They both just didn’t make eye contact.. I am assuming to not help and I was just waiting for someone to say something and one of them rolled their eyes at me and then was like i’ll help you. The later when I had to pay.. one of the employees was like oh they put everything in and as I walked to the desk and she starts talking in the third person. Like no?! We usually always tell them to come up?! Like why do that when I am there and you can tell me? Then she was processing the payment and once it was done.. she didn’t tell me. She just started the conversation with the other employees and I was just standing there and then she looks at me and she’s like it’s done you can leave. Honestly I use to love it here.. but I will not be returning, I think they should pay close attention to who they hire because .. it’s not fair, especially if it’s your job.. how are you going to be so rude for no reason.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Wright is the best vet ever. I've taken all of my pets to him for 10+ years because we trust him and because he gives 110% of himself to our furbabies.

Negative experience: I recently visited Ontario Veterinary Hospital to have my two cats vaccinated, and I was thoroughly dissatisfied with the service and pricing. The cost was exorbitant, first time visit would be $63 physical examination fee which is required, particularly the additional $31 examination fee that is charged after the first visit for vaccines. This fee seems excessive and unjustifiable. I had scheduled an appointment a week in advance, as the earliest available slot was a week later. Despite this, I was kept waiting for over 25~30 minutes past my appointment time before I was able to see the veterinarian. This level of inefficiency and lack of respect for customers' time is unacceptable. Additionally, I did not receive any confirmation texts or emails for my appointment, nor did I receive any phone call reminders one day prior to my appointment. Other veterinary hospitals I have visited always provide confirmation emails, reminders, and calls, which demonstrates a higher level of professionalism and care for their clients. Considering the high costs, poor service, and lack of communication, I strongly advise looking for other veterinary options in the area. There are many other clinics that offer better service and more reasonable prices. I will not be returning to Ontario Veterinary Hospital, and I do not recommend it to others.

Fantastic experience: I bring all my 3 dogs here for about 4 years now. The staff here are amazing and super helpful especially when it comes to our 140 pound dog! Wouldn’t recommend any other vet. Thank you everyone at Ontario Veterinary Hospital!!✨

Fantastic experience: Dr. Wright. Point blank period. As well as Ariyanna, Wesley and Leo. Each one of these individuals have exceeded my expectations time and time again. I would never take my fur family anywhere else. And when Dr. Wright retires, I will have to figure out where Leo and Wesley go!!

Fantastic experience: Best Customer Service! I want to thank the receptionist Stefanie for the compassion she extended to my mother, at the most difficult time. My mom had to put her beloved pet to sleep. Stefanie walked in the room, explained the process asked my mom if Ashe had any questions and answered her questions. My mom said she listened and comforted her when she needed someone. Mom said she was so patient and informative about the process that my mom felt at peace to go forward with putting her pet to sleep. Dr Wright is great! Forever clients!

Fantastic experience: Staff are always professional and nice. We’ve had the same vet tech at every appointment thus far so my dog is familiar and more comfortable when being assessed. They respond via email extremely quick and always ensure information is detailed and understood.

Positive experience: We loved Dr Adam but we never see him anymore. They usually do a great job and they can often get us in within a few days. They need more people at the front desk/answering the phone though. Its not uncommon for me to be on hold 5 minutes only to be disconnected.

Negative experience: A waste of money and time. My appointment was 430, they saw me at 505. I had my dogs glands expressed. It took the tech 3 minutes and cost $32! I understand prices go up, but maybe if I didn't wait 30 minutes for what actually took 3 minutes, I wouldn't be writing this! An extra star because most staff are usually nice.

Negative experience: I tried to like this place but my overall experience came off as bad service & animal care hidden behind “low prices”. I got no clear answer on what was wrong with my pet. Calling them was not a great experience I would keep getting Inconsistent information & i heard the person talking and laughing with others in the background as I was trying to discuss the situation & euthanizing my pet. Until the very end they all flip flopped on the information including front desk & doctors saying one thing then the other even when I specifically asked for clarifications. Feels like a jumbled mess over all When I first too my pet I was hesitant I should have stuck to my gut but the front desk used “other vet clinics big scary prices” as bait to leave my pet here I lost a pet who went in with just appetite loss and they severely worsened her condition until I had to put her down. My sister took her two cats to a different vet who had exact symptoms and where quite worse off then mine one significantly worse practically near death. She got much lower prices they where honest & up front and didn’t milk for high price procedures that don’t do anything besides make your cat depressed and BOTH of her pets survived and are doing so well right now. I’m glad I turned her away from this clinic. Go to a different vet I ended up getting I got charged triple for my pet to end up dead. I regret taking my pet here.

Negative experience: If I could give zero stars to this place I would. My mother just took our sick dog in less than an hour ago and Dr Wright yelled at my mother because of a question that she had and used Google to clarify something. He then accused her of not trusting him or his staff and yelled at her very awful and embarrassed her and didn't even see our sick dog who might not make it through the week and we now have to find another veterinarian to hopefully see him today and give us a proper prognosis of his condition. We have been taking our dogs there for close to 15 or 20 years and this is how they treat their customers. Find someplace better.

Negative experience: Do not take your bearded dragon here !!!!!!! I called before i came and asked if they treated bearded dragons. They said yes. My beardie had a seizure. When I came to the appointment , The vet told me she had to Google about seizures in dragons , I can’t believe she said that to me. Paid them 60 bucks just so they could tell me to take him somewhere else. While I was there a lady was complaining about sitting there for an hour just to pick up prescription! Horrible experience!!!

Fantastic experience: I love the way, Dr. Opstad is so kind and gentle with my feral cat. They are very able to treat her without sedation. Dr. Opstad takes her time to explain everything and is never in a hurry. The office staff is very efficient and nice. They also take their time to help you with any question or concerns and are never rude or short. I have never had to wait more than a week for an available appt. I drive an hour and a half to take my cat to Ontario Veterinary Hospital.

Negative experience: This place is terrible.... made an appointment and got a confirmation email. Received a text a few day before to confirm. Replied and received the confirmation. I show up and they cant find my appointment. After much back and forth they said they can take him. They said they would cellaring 2pm to let me know if howbthings went. At 5pm an hour before they close I call and ask them if there is any update since I haven't heard anything. They say he is ready to be picked up. I show up 20 minutes later and they said he would be out. Been waiting an hour now. Last rime im coming here.

However I've had quite a few incidents(broken dew claw, broken tooth, open wound, small cut, torn gum) and they have always been able to put my mind at ease. Yes it will be a few hundred dollars depending on medication and what you need done. But that is Healthcare. You won't get gouged here like at the Inland empire emergency hospital up the street.

Fantastic experience: Nothing but appreciation and respect for all the Doctors and Staff for providing such humanistic care to my animals with all the emergencies they have had over the years, specially last 3 yrs. It has been such a peace of mind knowing I can trust their medical advise and care as their expertise and experience in what they do is so obvious. You can feel and see the love, understanding, and respect for animals! Thank you all for your passion and hard work to relieve my 3 dogs of their suffering with health issues.

Fantastic experience: Always take my 3 dogs here. It’s always been a great experience and their prices are very affordable! Edit: about a year ago I took in my husky because she ended up getting parvo really bad, even with her vaccinations. She almost died. I took her here because this is the only vet I trust with my babies. They kept her for almost a week and she was loosing the battle but dr wright doesn’t like to lose. He gave me all the drastic options and one of them was a blood transfusion from a staff members dog who had parvo and survived. My baby’s white blood cell count was almost nothing. i was scared and crying worried i was gonna lose her. It was the only option we had left. I told him to do it, and he did. About a year later, my baby is still here and healthy, and as strong as ever. They sent us home with medicine and they did a really good job calling and checking up on my baby throughout the next couple weeks and made sure she was fine. Honestly, I will forever be thankful for him and the staff for taking care of my Bella. I’m lucky she’s with me still today, and I never take a moment with her for granted again. So thank you to everyone here. ❤️

Fantastic experience: This was my first time bringing my dog here, who had an abscess in her ear that was very very painful. They took excellent care of her and I'm happy to report she is doing much better. I certainly recommend bringing your pet here. They do not disappoint!

The Vet is very down to earth and makes it easy to understand what the treatment plan is and why it's important for your furbaby. I've been coming here for years and I won't take Rosie anywhere else!

Fantastic experience: I've taken many of my cats here over the years but have recently moved to Claremont, so unfortunately its a bit of a drive now. When other closer vets were closed, they were open and able to see my baby that same day. They are very real with you compared to other vets that seem to try and upsell to get you to do unncessary treatments or tests. Theyve taken care of my babies so well and have done great work. I wish I lived a bit closer so my cats aren't bumming out on the car ride, but it's worth it!

Fantastic experience: This place is amazing the pet care is excellent. Have had several of my fur babies cremated here price is excellent also they come back in a beautiful cedar box with a brass plate with their name and inscription. You also get a small ceramic plaque with your fur baby's paw print, along with a death certificate. They are truly amazing i couldnt be any happier with them glad I found them.

Fantastic experience: Pingu was taken care of wonderfully. He had a very bad wound that turned out to be an abscess and the girls were so good with him, and removed it. I am so lucky to have brought him to you guys. We got in quickly (within 48 hours) and he wasn’t freaked out at all. Thank you. Recommend 10/10, 100%.

Fantastic experience: Sovereign, My American Bully, Had To Have An Emergency Vet Visit! She Got A Hematoma Playing With Her Brothers And We Had To Get It Drained. First We Called Arrowhead Animal Hospital In Blue Jay, CA, To Set Up An Emergency Appointment, And It Did Not Go Well. The Woman Over The Phone Was Extremely Disrespectful, Stated That Sovereign’s Condition Was NOT An Emergency, It Couldn’t Get Any Worse, Or Damage Her Ear Permanently. I Allowed Her To Know That Her Information Was Entirely Incorrect, And I Did Not Appreciate Her Telling Me Otherwise. I Then Hung Up On Her, And Looked Up A Different Vet. I Found A Place Called Ontario Veterinary Hospital!!! AND IT WAS FREAKKING PHENOMENAL!!!!!! The Dr. Got Down On My Puppy’s Level, Interacted With Her, Called Her A Kiddo, And Actually Connected With My Puppy. He Explained Her Condition To Us, And Made It Perfectly Clear And Easy For Us To Understand. He Reassured My Dog Was Safe With Him And Took Care Of Her Ear In Less Than 20 Minutes. I Love This Dr!!! But I Sadly Forgot To Ask His Name.

Negative experience: They were a great vet for our dog (prices were reasonable) until we had an emergengy. They wouldn't have the time of day for my dog because I didn't have an appointment. The girl at the front desk (Saturday) seemed cold and heartless, didn't care what so ever my dog had an emergency. When I get a new dog I will never go back to this vet

Negative experience: Bad experience at the place. Took my pup for a vet check up to get her spayed...she was in for 2 mins did touch or handled my dog. Just looked at her and now I'm getting charged $40 for 2 mins. So disgusting and unsatisfied. Plus the cost to spay is close to $500 + $40 . Theres way better places and more reasonable price elsewhere....don't take your pets her unless you want to pay an arm and a leg...

Fantastic experience: Always a pleasure to take my pets here. Dr. Wright always takes his time with you as if no one else is waiting. Love that. He is always upfront and honest and never judges your decision. Staff is also very helpful.

Negative experience: My dog was having a medical emergency, I asked if they had two lines one to see a vet and one for the dog hotel. They said I would have to wait. As it was my turn a person jumps infront of me to pay for the doggy hotel stay. I asked for a reason they allowed that to happen as I'm here waiting to see a vet for medical emergency. The receptionist apologized then told me they don't provide emergency services and I should go somewhere else. They provided me a name of a different pet hospital. 1. This information should have been provided earlier. 2. I understand I'm not a "regular" I assume and hope that was the only reason they allowed someone to jump infront of me because the only other reason would be race. They should service the next customer in line.
