Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Tazewell Pike Animal Clinic and Dr. Parks enough! They always provide compassionate, knowledgeable care for my animals (ranging from a 200 lb dog to small cats). We moved further away from the clinic, but continue to exclusively use them because you couldn’t ask for a better experience or team.

Fantastic experience: A potentially major concern developed over the weekend and I was able to secure an appointment on Monday. The Doctor addressed the issue quickly and healing has begun. Zoe and I are happy campers.

Fantastic experience: We love Dr. Sears and all the folks at Tazewell Pike Animal Clinic! I never feel rushed through an appointment, am able to ask ALL the questions, and get all the answers and advice needed. I currently have three dogs, all with different personalities and needs, and the crew at Tazewell Pike Animal Clinic have done wonderfully with all three. They also helped me say goodbye to my best friend, Piper (my 15 year old lab) last year. Piper was treated with love, kindness and compassion, and I will always be grateful for their help, especially in those last moments.

Fantastic experience: Moved into the area, read the reviews, took my 8 yr old coonhound to them for her rabies vaccine and to establish her with the vet. The vet called my old veterinarian and received the the vaccine info from them. They were very good with my dog and also showed me their facility for boarding my dog.

Fantastic experience: We love the doctors and staff at Tazewell Pike Animal Clinic. We know are sweet little Shih Tzu, Rozy Joe is in great hands there. They know him by name, and they simply give great vet care.

Fantastic experience: My Milli was having severe breathing issues. They saw her immediately! They told me the cost of each procedure up front so I could decide whether I could afford it. They saved her life. They were kind, empathetic, and extremely knowledgeable. I wouldn’t take my pets anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: I’ve come here on several occasions when my regular vet was closed, and every single time I’ve been welcomed by the kindest, most genuine staff. They have been there for both emergencies and simple illnesses when I couldn’t get an appointment with my vet, and I always feel confident that my pets are truly cared for. If my regular vet wasn’t so close to home, I would absolutely bring all of my fur babies here. You can tell they genuinely care about both you and your animals. I also love the convenience of being able to schedule appointments online—it’s a huge help with my busy schedule. I highly recommend them!

Fantastic experience: Love this clinic and have used it for the last 25 years and many pets. They’ve grown through the years and have done everything to help with each of my pets when I’ve needed them. I feel lucky to still be able to call them my vets. I started with a difficult dog 25 years ago and while she’s passed, we’ve moved on as we were ready with our next animals. I’ve referred friends and family there and they also liked them. Each vet seems to have a favorite area of expertise and that helps. I’m lucky to be able to call them my vet clinic.

Everyone at the clinic is always kind, courteous, professional, caring, loving, and on and on. They helped us say good-bye to two of our sweet dogs, and our kitty Harrison, and we couldn't have asked for a more loving staff to help us get through our loss. Fantastic experience: Took my Cane Corso in for an annual shots visit an what appeared to be an allergy or ear infection. The staff was very accommodating to me and so kind and gentle with Nylah as she is a nervous girl. She was throughly examined and given the medicine needed to get her on the right track to wellness.

Fantastic experience: Update October 19th We've been coming here as our primary veterinarian for well over a year now. We have a older dog who's had a lot of medical issues and all of the staff here the team the facility the veterinarians have been terrific. They're always accommodating and friendly and present reasonable options for any treatment in a way that is friendly and full of empathy. Very highly recommend this veterinarian's office if you're looking for a good vet in the area Been here about a half dozen times All the staff is super friendly everything is clean they have good hours making availability much easier than many other places. Pricing is fair but most importantly each time my pupper has gotten great care

Fantastic experience: I took my little Archie man to get his first vet appointment done. We saw Dr. Lori Smith and she was amazing! Archie just needed his rabies and FVCRP shot done and he was also microchipped at my request. Dr. Lori immediately fell in love with him when she came in haha. She treated him very well and was gentle with him. He’s only 4.5 months old so I was nervous at how he would do. He did amazing. While administering the shots Dr. Lori gave him a treat. He enjoyed it very much. Also the ladies at the front desk were very kind. Krysta was great! So was the other lady, but unfortunately I didn’t get her name. Autumn the vet tech was very kind as well! I will most definitely be returning! Not to mention the price was very affordable. I even got a $30 discount for being a new client!

Fantastic experience: They saved my cat. I took my cat Nala in to have her euthanized because I was told by several other vets that there’s a chance she wouldn’t survive the surgery and I was not in the position to be able to afford such an expensive surgery. I asked them to take a look at her to double check my suspicions and they had agreed that she had pyometra. I prayed for any type of good news and a few minutes later the vet came back in and said that they were able to do the surgery for the same cost as the euthanasia. They said a new vet would be doing it and that they could use the Felix fund so I could be able to afford to save her. I picked her up the next day and she has been doing great since then.

Fantastic experience: Mrs.Amy and Dr.Emily were amazing they got me in fast, super kind and very helpful with my dog Willow, they told me how to take care of it, great pricing! They made sure they was gentle with her! Overall I highly recommend!!!

Fantastic experience: Dr Hibbs saved my dog's life! My Catahoula Leopard Dog had a life-threatening ailment that required emergency surgery. While the procedure was expensive, it was right in line with other veterinarians' quotes for the same operation. The staff was nothing short of amazing for the care of him while he was dealing with his cancer, helping me to prepare by showing me options prior to him getting really bad, and taking care of him at the end. Fantastic experience: I cannot thank Shelby, Dr. Smith, and the whole staff at Tazewell animal clinic enough for the level of care they provided to my cat, Linus! They fit us in a last minute appointment and surgery. They took great care of him and they also kept me informed throughout the process. They showed me X-ray and explained to me what needed to be done. They were very understanding of me having to be mindful of my costs. They thoroughly explained proper aftercare and followed up to check on him. He is back to his normal self and healing like a champ!

Negative experience: Has ownership changed?? We brought our cat there for years..and could not LOVE Dr Parks more shes the best...but..in past 3 or 4 mos all the front office staff has changed..new Drs..and service levels have declined. They do have SOME ppl that are nice but after today's simple medicine pick-up I will probably switch to a different vet..Aiden felt the need to "inform me" that all med refills wont happen same day..which I understand but since Krista was sooo nice to expedite my request because its a holiday weekend..Aidens attitude was unnecessary. Then when she rang me up/ckd me out...she litterally points to 3 bottles of meds and says "theres ur meds"..i asked for a bag..since theres 3 bottles she reaches behind her grabs a bag and slings it onto the counter. Like i was asking for too much by requesting a bag...her snarky comments and then slinging the bag....she needs to remember how shes getting paid by customers that come there. But...since its nearly impossible to get an appointment within a couple of days that you need and all the changes in front iffice staff..and now the attitude of Aiden...we'll be looking for another vet. This used to be a great place that we bragged about...but not anymore...its a shame the place has made changes lately and not for the better. If you do get an appt..you will wait in lobby at least 20 to 30 mins then once in a room you'll wait some more. Dr Parks and Dr Hicks are great vets..too bad the attitudes of front office folks is forcing us to take our fur babies elsewhere. ~Taters Mom

They are very understanding of the cost and help you to decide what your dog needs and which option will fit within your budget! Both of my Dobie's have seen Tonya Parks DVM. I highly recommend her! She was so good with my boy who can get pretty aggressive and my girl who can be very untrusting!

Fantastic experience: Able to work my pet in same day to be seen for a visit. He was seen almost immediately within walking into the office and the visit was quick, but thorough. He required surgery, which they were able to book within the week. Everyone from check in to check out was super friendly!

Fantastic experience: Great people and service! I recently adopted a golden retriever mix and these folks were the same veterinarians that did the initial intake of my new buddy Andre! As with most adopted dogs there is a transition period in their new homes. Andre has had some stress related issues and they addressed them right away. It’s clear that they are invested in their clients with love and compassion!

We've had to say goodbye to two of our beloved dogs, and I don't think they went "out of their way" to accommodate us, I honestly feel it's just in their nature to be so kind and loving. Fantastic experience: I love them here. Way better than the last vet I went to. They treated my Sassy girl so nicely, they are cheaper than most other vets, and always call back when necessary. Now her teeth are shining so brightly! They aren’t pushy to do tests that aren’t quite necessary right away, like a sales man. They just ask and then proceed. They are about the animals.

Negative experience: I am incredibly disappointed with the lack of professionalism displayed by an employee at this veterinary office, Alexandria. While traveling through the airport, my then-fiancé encountered Alex who chose to engage in behavior that was completely inappropriate and unprofessional—especially for someone representing a medical business and who is engaged herself. Instead of maintaining appropriate boundaries, this individual exchanged personal contact information, including social media and phone numbers, and engaged in flirtatious and inappropriate messaging with my partner, who was en route to visit me. She was fully aware of his status and well as mentioned above, being engaged herself. Both parties at fault for their less than integral behavior. Whether on or off the clock, those who work in healthcare—veterinary or otherwise—should uphold a basic standard of ethics and personal conduct. This behavior raises serious concerns about the character and judgment of those employed here. I would not feel comfortable entrusting my pet’s well-being to someone who displays such a lack of respect for others. I sincerely hope this review is seen by her fiancé, so he can be fully informed and make decisions for himself based on the facts.

Fantastic experience: This is the best pet clinic I've ever been to. The doctor and staff were so kind gentle and caring explained everything that needed to be done. The way my cat was treated was amazing. Would definitely recommend anyone take your fur babies to Tazesell Pike Animal Clinic. My Luna feels so much better they really are great people.

Veterinarian visits are expensive no matter where you go, but given the choice I will drive out of my way to take my pets to folks that I know I can trust.

Fantastic experience: Staff were super friendly and gentle with Bella (my dog). Very accommodating. When I called them with my dog’s problem they were able to squeeze us in with a 20min notice. The doctor was gentle and knowledgeable.

Fantastic experience: my cat jabbs was hurt and needed now attention. they took us in immediately without an appointment or a you don't have an appointment upcharge. 10 minutes and Dr Park was in the room and taking care of business. I forget the tech assistants name but she was also a breath of fresh air. The cost of repair to jabbs was reasonable. He is doing well now. Thanks guys.

Fantastic experience: We were there for the heart wrenching experience of putting our sweet boy to sleep. He was 12 years old, He watched my children grow up. and He lived a great life. The staff was very compassionate with us and our sweet boy they made it as smooth as possible. Thank you we really appreciated that in such a hard time for our family.

Negative experience: I took my girl here from 4 months to 8 years old ( she will be 11 this year ) & had to switch vets bc I was consistently not heard about how she should be handled & it was honestly becoming hazardous for us & for them. Our routine for years was we would come in , I would remind them that I need to put a muzzle on her before she went in the back for her shots as she did better without me, be returned to the room to me & I take the muzzle off. Usually this process took about 5 minutes with Dr Smith. The last visit I had with them I reminded the tech of our routine bc while yes, after 8 years it should be in our file - I know they have a lot of patients & I would rather be safe than sorry - they brought me the muzzle , Dr Smith came in & instead of taking my girl to the back to do her shots- they attempted to have me hold her still which I knew wasn’t going to work but we tried anyway & after about 15 minutes of fighting & stressing her out I suggested a 3rd time that visit that I just step out of the room - sure enough , I stepped out & her shots took about 3 minutes to complete - I stepped back in the room & they had already taken her muzzle off & made the comment that she had shown her teeth at them… which is exactly why I request to take the muzzle off of her when they are finished. The entire visit EVERYTHING that we not only have been doing for 8 years of her life, but I had reminded the tech of beforehand as I had for each visit - had been blatantly ignored & that was the final straw for me. Because at that point, it’s putting yourselves & my girl at risk & I just can’t have that. There were multiple incidents leading up to this that I was unhappy with but this made me make the final decision to make the switch. Not to mention, that in the 8 years of us coming to see you - the service on the phones & at the desk had gone from so kind & helpful to full on condescending. I got a voicemail on my phone about coming back to see you today. That will not be happening.

Fantastic experience: I have taken my animals to this vets office for over 5 years. We ALWAYS see Dr. Parks. She Has always taken care of us and explained everything to us throughly. Her love for animals shows while she is interacting with our dogs ! We also love that she plays with our children when in the room as well ❤️. We are not just another “ client “ to her but like family . We will never go anywhere else ! She truly is amazing and knows what she is doing . She always offers ALL the different options and explains them to you! I know when I take my furbabies to DR Parks they are in the best hands
