Fantastic experience: We’ve been coming to Chevy Chase Animal clinic for almost two decades. They have always taken care of all our furry family members with exceptional kindness and care. The staff is so nice and professional. But I especially want to thank Dr Cuffe for her remarkable professionalism, knowledge and incredible kindness. I can’t thank her enough for everything she has done for us. She is an amazing human being and fantastic doctor

Fantastic experience: We tried three other veterinary hospitals after moving to the Lexington area in 2022, and we are so happy to have found Chevy Chase Animal Clinic as the primary veterinarian for our three dogs. The staff is polite and caring, and the whole team is great with our dogs including our old lady who can be a bit grumpy and anxious sometimes. Picture included of the old lady feeling relaxed enough to catch a nap while we waited for blood work results at a recent visit. If you want a veterinary hospital that delivers great medicine and wonderful client service, I highly recommend contacting Chevy Chase Animal Clinic.

Negative experience: Oh my God! This place DOUBLED their prices from last time they got shots! The office visit was 45 now 75! The shots were very expensive, too! Maybe more than doubled! I was expecting the same fair pricing as usual! I paid $1400.00 for two dogs and a cat to get their yearly shots and flea pill. I’m honestly in shock! In my whole life, I’ve NEVER been charged this much for a well check! Please take your pets to the humane society where most shots are like $15.00! Never again!!! Please tell your pet living friends to stay away from Chevy Chase Animal Clinic!

Fantastic experience: My dog Scout and I love the great care he gets at CCAC. Last week, Scout was neutered and things could not have gone better or smoother.I felt confident leaving him there in their hands. They did a great job and he has recovered very well, without incident.

Fantastic experience: I have 4 rescue dogs. We recently switched from another local clinic to CCAC. How did we ever function before!? We have had the pleasure of working with all their vets- Cooper Headley/Beckett/Cuffe. Fantastic care and follow through. The entire staff is amazing, including Lesley the manager. Pricing is FAIR! We even do our Physical Therapy there with Dr. Blanchett. Phenomenal. Kind. Supportive. Rock stars. Could not recommend this partner enough!!!!

Negative experience: We went to Chevy Chase for over 20 years combined. I left because of the front staff. I can see by the reviews I wasn't the only one having trouble with them. This is in the past 2 years not before. Dr. Headley was always good to us though.

Fantastic experience: The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating when I came in with my cat. I had a back injury and could not lift so they helped me tote the cat and brought the checkout to me in the exam room. Excellent service!!!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been taking my pitbull here for 11 years. They’re the best! She hates having her nails trimmed and they’re the only ones that can do it. The vets are great & staff are wonderful, too! It’s always a great experience for me and my dog.

Fantastic experience: We were taken care of every step of the way. A new problem popped up and we were immediately scheduled for a next day appointment. They called for records from our previous vet. When our dog had an emergent problem requiring speciality treatment they arranged for another appointment same say in Cincinnati to expedite care. The vet was transparent and caring during the visit. Our dog was well taken care of!

Negative experience: Moving from out of state, I knew finding care for my 9-year-old dog with arthritis wouldn’t be easy. Trusting the great Google reviews, I gave this place a chance. To get established, there’s a $200+ fee—even after I provided her entire lifetime of transferred vet records. I accepted that, no problem. The real issue started afterward: the pricing was constantly changing. We came faithfully every four weeks for her arthritis shot, but nearly every visit brought a new fee—whether it was an “outstanding balance” or a claim that I hadn’t paid for a previous nail trim. It became exhausting to defend myself, especially considering that I only pay in cash. Still, the unexpected charges continued, and after weeks of frustration I decided to give up on this clinic. Not to mention, I had my animals nails trimmed, and we left with her bleeding. I did not realize that she was bleeding. Therefore, I got all over a very expensive work outfit of mine, and not to mention the pain it caused my senior dog. The place was unapologetic and when I came back, they said I still owed more money for that visit. what a joke. The front desk staff is young and polite, but they’re never on the same page. and the so-called manager accountant, blame me for her front desk, disorganization rather than apologizing to me. The place is always very busy, which seems to add to the disorganization. Between the lack of consistency and the unreasonable costs, I cannot recommend this vet. If you’re looking for fair pricing and smoother communication, I’d suggest going elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing. The technicians are so kind and patient and Dr. Maddox takes his time and talks with us about our pups and what’s occurring. I have never felt rushed! Love this clinic!

Fantastic experience: Lovely clinic with wonderful people. My only suggestion would be to offer parking lot exams for dogs that might be well suited to it on nice weather days. The exam room I have always been in is pretty small and I get claustrophobic with that one little squeaky bench and my dogs being all anxious and wanting to sit in my lap.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I are travel nurses and have taken our Daisy dog here on two occasions throughout our contract in Lexington. The first was after my wife and Daisy were attacked by another dog while on a walk, and the second time was for a dental appointment where Daisy had to have a few teeth extracted. We were blown away both times by the kindness and professionalism shown to both us and our little girl. She was a rescue, so she tends to be a bit fearful of new situations and people. The staff at CCAC were patient and kind with both her and us throughout both visits, and we cannot possibly recommend this place enough. Thank you all again!

Fantastic experience: I have a 17 year old cat that wasn't feeling well. They were able to fit me in the same day I called, even as a new client. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The vet wasn't at all judgemental, and presented me with options going forward and realistic expectations. I thought the cost of the exam and medications was very reasonable. We were in and out quickly, and my cat is feeling much better!

Fantastic experience: Very professional - we are first time clients so they asked lots of questions to understand our visit. We arrived early to our appointment and they took us right in. Explained everything in detail on what the doctor saw and listened to our concerns (allergies). Prescribed what was best and what can be done in the future. Thanks everyone.

Fantastic experience: Mr BlackJack been taken care of by the great staff of Chevy Chase since he was 4 months old. He will be 3 yo on December 8th. The staff are so friendly and attentive to not only him, but always address our concerns also. He is a Standard Poodle and also attends the Grooming services for his monthly Spa days every month. He is healthy and thriving.

Anytime I need to bring my babies in they are accommodating and get them in asap. I feel like they work as a team and make sure to provide the best service possible. Phoebe loves to visit and enjoys all the love shown.

Fantastic experience: I would definitely recommend this vet based on my recent experience with them. My cat was not eating or drinking one weekend, but I wasn’t able to get off of work to take her to the vet. Chevy Chase offered to keep her for the day until I could pick her up after work. They treated her with care, and the person at the front desk was super kind and helpful. They really went the extra mile to make sure my cat got the care she needed.

Fantastic experience: We recently moved to the area and needed to establish a new veterinarian for our 3 senior dogs. There are a few health concerns we are managing for our pups, and Dr. Maddox has been so helpful and detailed. The entire staff, from reception to techs, is also wonderful. Everyone is always pleasant and approachable despite being busy. I’m glad we found this clinic so our girls didn’t skip a beat with their care.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic vet clinic. They have taken stellar care of my 3 pets. Dr. Headley even inquires about the 'pack dynamic,' which makes me feel like their team cares not ONLY about each individual animal but the entire pack chemistry. I cannot recommend, highly enough. I've attached a photo of Winston, who is a tripod/rescue. He's my angel. UPDATE: Several years later, I maintain that Dr. Headley & his staff are the most capable/compassionate team that will FIGHT for your pet's best care. Most recently my Aussie (Ranger) went in for a paw biopsy, and they were going to clean his teeth while he was sedated. After sedating and examining, they determined the paw biopsy wasn't necessary, thus saving me $400 (or more). It was unselfish, and the right call. It also negated having to suture a recent wound, which would compound the healing. In short, this office is a Top-Notch outfit and they also look out for your wallet. Your pet will be the best care under Chevy Chase Animal Clinic.

Fantastic experience: I have used this vet for over 2 years and everytime I go I never have a problem. They work great with my 2 dogs. They are quick to get my dogs in for an appointment and the most I have had to wait when I go in for my appointment is 10 minutes. I know my dogs are in good care with them. They are truly the best!

Fantastic experience: We are forever grateful to CCAC for their support during our cat's treatment for FIP, a disease previously considered fatal. Dr. Headley helped us understand the urgency of Hanson's condition and connected us with resources that saved his life. Dr. Cuffe and Nicole provided extensive support as we went through treatment. Our cat is now healthy and we hope he will enjoy a long life post-FIP.

Fantastic experience: Yesterday I found your animal clinic. I called and told the office what was going on with June. They said they had a full day but all hands were on deck and to bring her in. I had already tried 4 other Vets!! I was relieved. You took us right in, June was evaluated quickly with bloodwork and X-rays. Then she was hooked up to get fluid because she was dehydrated. You brought in a special ultrasound tech that is in the area to make sure we got the right diagnosis! She found that June had a blockage. You rushed her into surgery! Everyone was so nice. I felt like my baby was in good hands! I can’t thank you all enough! We really appreciate all your hard work! June is home resting!♥️
