Negative experience: I was given the run around with my cat...paid a deposit, because of first time visit...when I got there and waited for 20 minutes was told they could examine and do bloodwork....tech left the room and came back...then I was told that they draw blood from the neck and not the paw...so being that my cat is 15...the blood draw might go sideways...and could adversely affect the cat...so it would behoove me to take it somewhere else...was told they don't do simple x rays there either...so after I spent the afternoon taking my cat there, I never saw a vet or got my deposit back...

Fantastic experience: Prior to taking a semi-feral cat in to our home I had many questions and concerns. The staff was very courteous and caring. I appreciate the veterinary care that she has received from Dr. Roberson to insure that she is healthy. I highly recommend Florida Aid To Animals, Palm Bay.

Negative experience: It’s sad that after to many years that both of my dogs where patients at this location they decided to drop us as clients. Our sweet Maxie we wanted to put her do n so she wouldn’t suffer anymore after 16 1/2 years old. Florida aid to animals wanted to charge us for a visit, blood work etc so I got very upset and they didn’t like what I had to say. Beware!!

Fantastic experience: Stopped by today to update my dogs chart. Jaden was at the desk and was so welcoming and helpful. We updated the chart within a couple of minutes and we're out the door. Love this place!

Fantastic experience: My dog had surgery Friday the 12th and I was a nervous wreck. Dr. Roberson saw me in the parking lot clearly looking nervous and reassured me everything would be ok. The staff inside were amazing as well. I was worried about the price and they helped with that and gave me so much useful information. My dog was treated amazingly and I am forever grateful for florida aide to animals. The staff at the Melbourne location are always amazing as well.

Fantastic experience: Today I had my first visit here. I was treated nice and felt welcomed. It wasn’t slow and they really took good care of my fur girl. They understood from the beginning the reasons I was there, well documented during the call when I made the appointment . Nothing was overpriced. Staff were nice and polite. I would recommend this office to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I heard about FAtA through a radio advertising. My last trip to my previous Veterinarian the bill was $1000. I went to FAtA, and had the same services done and the charges were $140.00. The service was very friendly and they met all my need.

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough good things about this clinic and their staff. After spending $90 a month for a Palm Bay Veterinary chain “puppy club” for the first year of shots and visits and then them wanting $2800 to spay my doodle or add $30 a month more to the $90 puppy club package to cover the spay, I knew I couldn’t afford it. So she went through 3 heat cycles that were so awful for me who works long shifts and I just could not afford the $2800 to spay her. A friend told me about this place. I brought her in and she was due to go into another heat cycle any week. They didn’t have any spay appointments until October and the receptionist saw my defeated look as I dreaded another heat cycle and the diapers and mess. They had one cancellation on 5/1 and she got her in. It’s been 2 weeks and she’s healed and we threw the diapers all away. It was $150 to spay her including the cone and pain meds after and they caught an ear infection and provided those ear drops at check out as well the day of her spay. The vet I had her at with the puppy club would have charged me a fortune for the same drops and another visit fee for the ears and they always want to do a $180 cytology of her ear when she gets an infection. She’s a doodle and she’s well groomed and well cared for but prone to the ear infections and every time I say no to the cytology because we’ve done them so often and it’s led to nothing but the same ear drops every time they make me feel guilty. They made me feel guilty I couldn’t afford to spay her. Who can truly afford that anymore along with the $90 a month for their puppy club?! Here it’s only $150 for the first year puppy club and unlike that other vet who keeps it on auto pay until you catch it and tell them to STOP they truly covet the first year and there’s no need for auto pay just pay the $150 and your first year of vaccines is done. That puppy care club I realized after 18 months I was still being charged for it well past the one year mark. They said I had to call to cancel it. I said I was never told that I was told it covers the first year shots and she’s 18 months old. I had to PAY THEM $66 to cancel it some pro rated amount to cancel it mid month. I wasn’t using it all her vaccines were completed! So upsetting and such a waste of money. To shame people and say if we can’t afford our animals vaccines and to fix them we aren’t responsible pet owners is just cruel. I’ve always adopted and the dogs were fixed from the humane society. My doodle was from a breeder and I haven’t had a dog from a breeder since I was 24 and they were all boys so fixing them was easy and not that expensive. The $2800 to spay her I just couldn’t afford. Thank you so much FL Aide all your doctors staff and clinic colleagues are fantastic and so kind and their love for our fur babies shows. I feel so much better knowing my baby is fixed and her cancer risk is lower and she no longer has to have heat cycles and she can now play at the dog park with all dogs. I am so relieved and so grateful to everyone at FL Aide who got us in quick did a fantastic smooth surgery and recovery for my baby and now my son’s first puppy is there with them for all his needs. Check here first before you invest thousands. I wish I had found them sooner! Thank you all so much!

Negative experience: if your dog has ever bit someone in the past because they were in in pain. .Forget this place!!!! If their sick & need to be euthanize, They WON'T PUT IT DOWN EVEN IF ITS SUFFERING . they don't care .manger has no compassion at ALL..SAD TO SEE & EXPERENCE.

Negative experience: My friend brought his puppy there for parvo and they turned him away it's 3500 at an emergency vet to treat him I feel a place shouldn't turn away a sick puppy that could live with antibiotics and vac but just let it die because we don't treat them really !! What kind of people run these places everyone who can't afford 3000 dollar treatment should let them die not very humanitarian if you ask me smh poor puppy ..

Fantastic experience: It was great! Everyone was helpful, courteous, and attentive. My dog loved it even though she was given shots! The Drs. And assistants were very caring to the animals. The staff were very helpful, and they assisted me with setting her up for procedures that will be completed in the near future.

Negative experience: Review UPDATE: (See original review below) These guys shouldn't be in the pet business! Every time I go into this place I am greeted by Rude, Unresponsive staff. I am so offended by the TERRIBLE SERVICE AND RUDE STAFF that I take my dog 25 miles down the road to Sebastian, Florida to FIND ADEQUATE PET CARE ELSEWHERE!!! THEY NEED TO FIRE THE unprofessional gal AT THE FRONT COUNTER!!! 1st Review: I brought my new German Shepard/Lab puppy for an initial exam and to get to know the Vet. I found the staff to be very unresponsive and rude. There were only three other people/pets waiting in the lobby waiting on chairs and it seemed like they didn't want another customer. When I finally tried to interact, they tried to sell me treatments that I didn't need or want. This place is the Ford Motor plant of animal care - assembly line for profit! I'll find a better, more personable vet!

Negative experience: Came in here for a medical examination and was given literally 10 seconds of time with main doctor, and not even explained anything. I used the product she prescribed my dog and it didn't even fix the issue. Not happy taking time from work to just have my money taken and not even cared about and my dog actually examined or diagnosed correctly. Doctors rude

Fantastic experience: Merle had a veterinarian appointment this morning at Florida Aid to animals Bayside Lakes in Palm Bay Florida The team over at this location including the front office staff and Dr Mary Stafford along with her staff were the most professional in their line of work as employees of Florida Aid to animals The only thing that Merle needed this morning was one vaccine. And his tags which he will be getting momentarily. When Florida Aid to animals says affordable vet care believe me I have seen it firsthand. Got Merle home and he is resting comfortably My Brother Sam met me up there this morning. And sit in the treatment room with me while we were talking to Dr Stafford. Merle got himself a clean bill of health and once again thank you to the team over at Florida to animals Bayside Lakes Florida

Fantastic experience: My mom got her dogs groomed here they looked great. Note they only take cash in the dog groomer part which is in the back of the building not technically the vet part.

Negative experience: Extremely rude & unkind staff. Never taking my pet here again. I’m sure they deal with a lot of things but to treat people unfairly and being disrespectful for asking help is horrible. Please hire new staff.

Positive experience: Always great interactions with the staff! Very caring and knowledgeable. Prices are lower than any vet. When you do see a vet, expect a very brief interaction.

Negative experience: I took my dog to FATA for an annual checkup (we have been going here for ~9 years). I had an appointment, they took about an hour to see my dog. The Vet is extremely nice and really the main reason I keep bringing my dog back there - that and the fact that my dog is extremely anxious and this is the closest vet to my house. The appointment lasted another 20ish minutes. When I went to check out the employees were very lackadaisical helping me and the other 4 other people trying to check out. They were gossiping and talking about non work related issues as well as constantly on their phones. I was already late for an appointment, so I told them to call me with a total and I would pay over the phone. They demanded I wait. I informed them I was late and could not afford to wait any longer. They told me they would get the supervisor. The supervisor also demanded I wait. I told them my time was just as important as the vets and they would get paid THE SAME DAY, BUT I COULDN'T WASTE ANYMORE TIME WAITING ON THEM. After I left, I called my wife who happened to be in the area, having just finished her appointment. She went to FATA and paid the invoice within the same hour. Today we received a letter saying our dog was no longer welcome there. I guess they do not value our time or business, which is ok.... because... Previous visit there... I called to make an appointment because it seemed like my dog might have become diabetic. They made an appointment for him, 3 weeks later. When I get there, they tell me they can diagnose my dog with diabetes, but I would have to go to another vet for treatment / insulin because they do not do that. Why they couldn't tell me that when I made the appointment, I have no idea. I guess they value the money more than my dogs health. During the 3 weeks, my dog developed cataracts and went blind. This was NOT something they told me was a concern. Had I known that, I would have went elsewhere. So I had to take my dog to another Vet anyway, and that took a few more days to get the appointment. This place, and the customer facing employees are pathetic. The vet should find better staff. Great place to take your pet for shots and basic health checkups. Dont waste your time here if your pet is having real health issues or if you actually value your time. My time is no less valuable than the vets or the staff.

Negative experience: We take all of our pets to Florida Aid to Animals. They are great and the prices are more reasonable than some vet clinics. I am downgrading my review after Florida Aid to Animals let us down with "end of life" needs for our very sick Pomeranian. When I called to have her euthanized after 7 1/2 months of treatments for kidney failure. I was told that they didn't do that, and I would have to go to a full service vet. This is something they should have told me 7 months ago. I was very unhappy with them at this very sad and stressful time.

Fantastic experience: I adore FATA! Their staff is so kind and considerate to both pets and their parents ♡ I will say most of our experience has been with different cats .but it has been across many years , and theyll always been wonderful to go to. FATA is so vital to our community bec as we know veterinary care can be so expensive . Our pets have so much companionship value, it's sad when their basic medical care is unaffordable. We are retired, and I am grateful to FATA for helping keep our furbabies healthy.

Fantastic experience: Initially we were skeptical about taking our pups because we saw one bad review that they didn’t handle anxious dogs well. However, our experience was completely opposite! One of our two huskies has always been a bit too anxious when going to the vet. However Dr Monterroso and vet tech Rachel were extremely patient, caring and attentive towards our dogs. We were extremely happy to see our dogs be so comfortable in a new environment especially being the vets office. Also everyone else in the office from front desk to check out was absolutely superb. Overall, highly recommended them!

Negative experience: Brought my cat in to get spayed. The doctor wouldn’t spay her because they said she was pregnant. She took my money for x-rays which were negative because that day I brought her to another doctor. He said they were negative but he didn’t understand why he thought she was she was pregnant. When she had her spay the other day at Brevard and the animals and he said there was no way she was pregnant. So now I’m charged extra money for x-rays and it was more expensive to go to this other place, so I feel they need to refund me some money, I don’t like that doctor over there. They used to have a good doctors at Florida Aid To Animals on Cogan Psmela Fast. I didn’t even see the doctor at all. All I saw was her assistance and their assistance are wonderful everyone that work there is wonderful except for that doctor that screwed up. and I would like somebody to get hold of me and let’s discuss this that’s her boss. I am not happy.

Negative experience: Been going to this office for years. Called to have my dog put to sleep. Was told that they will NOT do it because she hasn't been there in over a year. Will never step foot in that place again. Mission statement is bunk. I noticed they asked for donations to help people who can't afford vet bills. I also noticed there is nothing on website offering help for people who can't afford to get their pets help. I also noticed their prices are higher than other places. Mission statement is a joke. SHAME on you!

Fantastic experience: Always take my dogs here. I have never had any bad experiences. There's no surprises when it comes to the price's they always explain up front.

Negative experience: Staff is friendly but this vet takes FOREVER. I had an appointment and I was there for TWO HOURS. Some of the staff would apologize for the wait but it is unacceptable and unfortunately this was not the first time ive had to wait for way to long at this location. They also charge $10 now to get a paper prescription. They can’t send it to your preferred pharmacy. They expect you to pay their outrageous prices for prescriptions and to come spend way too much time refilling the prescription. The time it takes is not worth the “savings”. I will be looking for a new vet.

Fantastic experience: Great experience today. I had to take my daughter's cat in and at the last minute I realized I could not get her in a carrier. I whisked her up and put her in the car hoping that the staff would let me sit in the car until we could get a waiting room. Well, not only did they do that but the were so very accommodating. Dana came out to the car and got her in a temporary cardboard carrier and carried her in. From that point, she was checked out and put back in the carrier for me and Kaydence even offered to carry her back to the car. At no time did I feel like they were being inconvenienced even though I know though it is not the norm. I was very Thankful for all their help as I was already nervous about taking her in on my own. 5 stars for sure!!

Negative experience: Went in to get my dog spayed. They forgot about me in the individual pet room during morning drop off… I had to leave the room and enter the lobby to remind them that I was even there. Then I was skipped over in line when picking my dog up for surgery.

Negative experience: Our pup had woken in the middle of the night his eye was glued shut, he was fine when we went to bed.. we put a warm cloth on it and got him to open , definitely could see something was horribly wrong .. so first thing in the am we called FATA ( that's where we had been taking them since our vet left. We'll we told them how badly swollen and draining it was and they said bring him in in 5 days!! 5 DAYS?? He will lose his eye by then! They said that's the best they can do .and hung up ..so we called Highlands Animal Hospital in sebastion and they took him immediately! Thank god..some how he got a big cut across his lens and needed meds! Next I called 3 month later with our 14 yr old shih tzu who sounded like she had congestive heart. Her cough was getting worse by the minute.. so I called FATA and again was told " we can't see her till next week , NEXT WEEK?? My dog will be Dead by then!!! She said would you like me to put her down for next week?? " He'll No !!! Again called Highlands Animal hospital and they took her immediately.. she was in the middle of congestive heart failure .. Never been back there

Fantastic experience: This is the only vet I take my dog to. The puppy package was the best thing I ever could have done and paid for itself in the first visit. It covers all the 1st year vaccinations, heart worm testing, de-worming, ear cleaning and nail trimming all included. Very easy, in and out. Costs 99$ for the puppy package. Staff is so friendly and helpful. 10 out of 10 recommend.

Positive experience: Staff seems to care a lot about the pets they treat. The prices are a lot more reasonable than full service vets.

Negative experience: Poor staff. Called more than 20 times placed on hold Everytime, and sometimes hung up on or disconnected from long wait times. Denied medication and treatment because they want every dime they can squeeze out of you. They would rather have me just watch my pet suffer. No help or guidance was given.... pretty much a good luck was said .what was explained to me over the phone. Used this center for years ... when you say yes to every test they throw at you and takes $100s of dollars they are happy.Never again... Awful staff and service.

Fantastic experience: Brought our 5 month old firbaby in for her first visit. She needed her puppy shots and flea control. And set up her next visit as well. Everyone body was professional and didn't try to up sell anything. Or push us for treatment or other canine stuff. We love the fact that they are within 2 miles from our home.

Fantastic experience: I've been here before for my first cat but I recently found another one who is terrified of people except for my boyfriend and I. These are the first people to accommodate my cat in the way he needed and they handled him as gently as they could and it was amazing. Melissa was such a life saver and she was great at holding him and going over everything with us and it made us feel so much better about our baby.

Positive experience: Lower cost veterinary service with caring staff. Our dogs and cats were cared for by them for over a decade until they passed away. I would give it 5 stars, but they increased their prices and it's about the same as many private vets in the area now, and comparable to PetShots services. They don't offer small animal care (ferrets and rabbits, etc). The waiting area is usually crowded, so if you have a reactive dog, it might be difficult for them to behave. Overall, a decent vet service for folks on a low budget.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I absolutely love this vet's office our fur babies mean so much to us and this vet's office has shown them so much love! Our pup recently got fixed and the vet tech Paige called me multiple times throughout the procedure because she knew I was really worried just to keep me up-to-date and she went as far as to give him some cuddles after surgery and check up on him and made sure to call us as soon as he was ready to be picked up she let us know everything we needed to know for post-op instructions and anything to look for that would be concerning but that is just one of the many wonderful things paige has done for us And our fur babies. Paige and the rest of the staff at Florida aid to animals truly love and care for every single animal that comes through their doors! I wouldn't take my babies anywhere else that's for sure

Fantastic experience: Compassionate staff- they take their time to explain any situation with your pet. I made a review explaining how the office manager was rude and then got this letter a few days later… I was not rude- I even said that front desk was amazing-tech and doctors great- yet expressed how I felt about the treatment by the office manager and then get fired as patients. How is this legal?

Fantastic experience: Definitely recommend them for preventative care, vaccinations, spay and neuter, Flea medications,and more. They have taken me and 3 cats right before closing even 20 mins late for our appointment. I've been rescuing cats for 20 years and always bring all of them to FATA for spay and neuter. They are the most reasonably priced , you can't find any place less expensive. The employees take the cuts in benefits and compensation in order to keep a low cost clinic for the animal loving public. And the Clinic is always spotless. Never smells, never have to worry about fleas jumping on you or your pet. I'm pretty sure they spray the waiting area after closing with something like Virbac. I won't take my cats/dogs any where else for their basic needs

Positive experience: Super nice and patient when dealing with putting a dog down, not pushy with payment options or anything, only thing is they have a candle in the front desk, when it is on someone is saying goodbye and it states to be quite since someone is saying goodbye, but the workers in the back can’t see it and we’re talking and laughing. Not there fault they didn’t know at all but I figured communication could’ve been better

Fantastic experience: The staff here are awesome! The amount of care that everyone shows is unmatched. I heartily recommend F.A.T.A. for anyone. It's a not-for-profit, so their prices are reasonable.

Positive experience: Affordable place for well visits and vaccines. The wait has become longer than it used to be a couple of years ago. Perhaps they need more vets?

Negative experience: We have been coming here for a very long time and spent countless dollars for our dogs' care. We missed ONE appointment due to an issue at home, and now we have to pay a 30 dollar deposit to make an appointment now as a punishment We won't be back, and neither will our family and friends. Ridiculous, do they not think we lose time at work to come here? Very sad it went this way.

Fantastic experience: I love the Veterinarian here! He is the most cheerful, happy doc I've ever met. Staff are great, place is clean, wait times are reasonable and prices affordable. Thanks FAA.

Fantastic experience: Extremely professional, incredibly affordable, and you can tell they care about pets and their parents. My previous vet wanted to charge $1000 for a dental cleaning and extraction of my cat's tooth, while FL Aid only charges $150 plus $30 per extraction. Definitely a life saver! Can't recommend them enough. Be aware their in office wait time was longer than I'm used to, but I was still out within 40 minutes.

Fantastic experience: The entire process for my rescue dog's vaccines was so well organized and straight forward. Yes we had a long wait, but they are helping so many pets and families, I was happy to wait for the level of attention we were given. I only wish I could give 6 stars, as the staff there is so caring and helpful. They made an anxious dog and mom feel so at ease with their level of attention and compassion. The staff spent extra time answering all my questions and concerns about my rescue dog and never once rushed us. Thank you Florida Aid to Animals!

Negative experience: I showed up with my dog with a wound that needed stitches. The staff completely ignored me when I walked in the door. Not even a "hi" or "how can I help you." The cashier in the products section told me that they don't do any sort of emergency care there and gave me a list of hospitals that do. She didn't seem to care at all that my dog had an open wound and was bleeding. Top of the list of hospitals they recommended was Aloha. Aloha has a very bad reputation among locals for horrible care that often results in the death of the pet. I live within 5min of this place, but I will NEVER come here again or their top recommended hospital, Aloha.

Fantastic experience: The doctor here is so fun and sweet !! They take great care of your babies and they are great with communication. The staff is very nice and professional. 10/10 recommend.

Fantastic experience: My experiences here have all been positive. There's a lot of parking and it's very roomy and clean. Staff is helpful and Vet Drs are caring and informative. Good prices.
