Fantastic experience: Amazing! I travel from Hot Springs for my dog for chemo. and we are so blessed to have Dr. Razor as our oncologist otherwise, I would have to go to Dallas for treatment. I wish we had her in Hot Springs as well. She is always so kind and friendly and answers every question I have. The whole staff is so helpful. Feel very lucky to have this clinic!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Hodges performed a miracle on our 3 year old Siberian Husky, Keiko. She had a very awkward accident that resulted in a broken pelvis with a bone chip that was separated from her pelvis. She was in constant pain. Couldn't figure out why. I thought we were going to have to put her down. Dr. Hodges and the staff Canine Neurologist determined that there was a nerve wrapped around that bone chip that was painful every time she moved. Dr. Hodges agreed to perform a very challenging surgery and scheduled it right away as I live 3 hours away. Bottom line, after a very restrictive 3 month recovery, Keiko is 95% back to normal and improving daily. In addition to his surgical competence, Dr. Hodges was available, informative and compassionate. 5 stars are not enough for me to describe my experience with Dr. Hodges.

Fantastic experience: We have used this clinic for the past 10+ yrs. We are normally very well pleased with the service and the way our pets are treated during our visits. They treat our dog well and take the time to explain their testing and results. I do wish they were still open on Saturdays as it was much more convenient for those of us who live out of town.

Fantastic experience: I had a good visit. I was able to ask all the questions I needed to and got I the answers I needed. I was told a different price over the phone and paid more than $100 from what I was told. However, I did think I was told incorrectly from what I was getting. I feel like the receptionist either didn't know or misspoke. Overall I was happy with the visit.

Negative experience: I went in to get my puppies booster shots and they changed me $234.00 she got a shot in each hip and some dewormer I will not be using Hillcrest again

Negative experience: Wonderful service when available, when you need to contact them for records a different more attentive, staffed people would make an improvement. Also if you know the phones will not be picked up for multiple days it’s a poor example of communication and processes. I will be looking for a new veterinarian that has a clinic that answers the phone, especially when it involves my beloved pet

Fantastic experience: My boy cat was definitely not happy to be at the hospital but they handled him with such care, even though he was hissing a lot and not having it. My girl cat also does not love the vet but they are always super caring and very sweet to my baby girl. I’ve been in 2 times in the past 2 days because my girl is sick, and every time I am blown away by not only how they take care of her—but also how sweet they are to me knowing what I’m going through with my baby. I would recommend this vet to anyone!

Fantastic experience: I had an emergency issue with my dog, and my usual vet was not available. My brother suggested I call his vet Hillcrest Animal Hospital. I did, and they were absolutely wonderful. They fit me in that same day, took care of my dog, and within a few days she was completely better. Everyone there was really helpful and professional. Definitely can recommend them.

Fantastic experience: A couple months ago my 14 yr old little grand dog was staying with us over the weekend and had an altercation with a bigger dog. After an overnight stay at an emergency pet hospital and consulting with Dr. Razer at Hillcrest, we took him there for surgical evaluation. Dr. Hodges gave us the best surgical care ever! He carefully explained everything - surgical procedures, risks/benefits in an older dog w/ other health problems, costs, post-surgery care - everything. In 40 years of being a dog owner, I've never had such great compassion and care provided for a pet. THANK YOU Dr. Hodges, Dr. Razer and the entire Hillcrest staff! Your sense of urgency and the great continuity of care provided are immensely appreciated. You are absolutely the best!!

Fantastic experience: The Vet that looked at my cat was very attentive, really seemed to have the cat's best interest in mind and wasn't looking to sell me medicine or procedures that weren't needed. My concerns were addressed and I was very happy with the quality of work performed. After everything was done, the pricing was quite reasonable also. My cat is doing wonderful. She seems much happier and no longer in pain. Thank you so much.

Fantastic experience: The experience was nice, even through the hectic morning they were having. Everyone was nice and friendly. Dr. Nick was kind and explained all about my cats problem. I would recommend them to anyone. Another thing I took away from the visit were the people waiting with me. People who had sick dogs and cats, injured animals, even down to the ones there for a bath. They talked about their animals, they talked about how they got them, one young man had his big white dog there that was trying to figure out what to call him. (I hope he picked my suggestion) All of the people had hearts of gold it seemed, and i was blessed enough to have this extraordinary day.

Fantastic experience: My Babies Bessie had to have surgery for Bladder stones. The ladies up front were very compassionate and understanding even though we were new. The phones were ringing off the hook the minute they opened. And still, they got my Baby in to Dr Zimmerman within the first 30 minutes!! Dr Zimmerman was reassuring and made me feel better about leaving her with them. He even called before the surgery started and after. It was a great experience for a very traumatic event.

Positive experience: Very Expensive!!! I love the vets but hate the pricing. It cost me more to pay cash for my cat than it did for me to pay cash for the exact same thing for myself on the same day!! $575 for cat $93 for me to have labs drawn and visit!!

Fantastic experience: Great place. I took a spoiled cat who I thought was sick. A little expensive to find out he was just rotten. But at least I know he is ok. Everyone was supper sweet.

Fantastic experience: I will always remember Dr. Razor sitting on the floor next to me as my soul kitty crossed the bridge in my arms. That was my first time at Hillcrest. The kindness and compassion I received on one of the most difficult days of my life meant more than words can say. Of course, when the cat distribution system brought me this sweet boy in the photo, I went back to Hillcrest. I love Dr. Razor, but I really trust all of the vets there, and I take my cat’s care very seriously. It’s refreshing to see that the people caring for animals actually love animals, and they treat them with dignity and respect. If my boy is sick or hurts his paw, they find time to fit him in. When I was concerned about his heart, they proactively ran tests. They aren’t solely focused on treating current symptoms, they anticipate underlying causes or reasons. I couldn’t ask for more.

Fantastic experience: I was there to get my 2 cats their yearly shots. It was a good experience and did not take too long.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Hodges and his nurse (I regret not catching her name) are, without question, some of the kindest and most dedicated people I’ve ever met—let alone veterinarians. Dr. Hodges performed ACL surgery on my dog, Luna, about five weeks ago. When I later reached out with concerns that she might have hurt herself again, he didn’t just reassure me over the phone—he actually invited me to meet him at the clinic on a Sunday at 6:30 PM to check on her. Not only did he personally come in and open the otherwise closed clinic, but his nurse also joined him. Together, they treated Luna with such care and warmth that I left feeling incredibly grateful and reassured. Their compassion, professionalism, and genuine love for animals are unmatched. They deserve not just five stars, but all the praise possible. I could not recommend Dr. Hodges and his team more highly.

He talked with my husband and I about the surgery and he explained the procedure for the surgery and answered all our questions. He did phenomenal on the surgery. Fantastic experience: They are probably the best at what they CAN DO. One female Vet was very confident the other female Vet…not so much. She talked slow & unsure while my cat was suffering. But Hillcrest & Briarwood didnt want to admit he was dying. Dr Skinner @ Out West told the truth. The staff at Hillcrest IS SO NICE. Just go for small things, anything Major, go OUTWEST. Im sorry yall but I have to be ho. Confidence is KEY

Fantastic experience: This place has literally saved our family. Our Toby came here facing death because Petco wouldnt do anything to help him. Dr. Razor and her team have been so compassionate and taken such good care of him. Today the lymphoma is almost gone and he is a happy boy again. These people love animals and their humans and Im so glad they do!

Fantastic experience: We are going through some really hard times with our soul dog being diagnosed with cancer, and even though we aren’t getting good news I really have to commend this office. It didn’t feel like they were trying to hurry up and get to the next appointment or trying to sell me any treatments I didn’t need just to make money. They really wanted to help and answer any questions we had, and be completely honest on what treatment they would and wouldn’t recommend. They were all super nice and the office smelled nice too (which isn’t always the case with vet clinics)

Fantastic experience: Outstanding care for both my cats. My kitten, who has asthma, has been treated by Dr. Pennington extensively. She has taken great care to diagnose his asthma, consulted with her colleagues before advising me of all treatment options, answered my many questions in detail, and always follows up on his treatment. He is now about 7 months old, and is doing well with his treatment.

Fantastic experience: I just want to say that Hillcrest Animal Hospital is the best I’ve ever gone to. From the amazing doctors to the excellent and friendly staff, they are all top notch. Recently, the surgeon, Dr Hodges, had to do a very tedious operation on my 10 week old kitten named Pink. Dr. Hodges did an amazing job and was so caring and professional! I can’t say enough good things about him. Please see him if your animal needs surgery! A couple years ago, I also used Dr. Pennington and Dr. Clark for my dog, Sammie. He’s crossed the rainbow Bridge but he loved the doctors and they loved him and took excellent care of him. They were wonderful also! I highly recommend this hospital for all your needs!

Fantastic experience: Man. I brought my longhair cat to have his matted fur shaved, because finding a groomer in Little Rock who will do cats is a hopeless ordeal. Even though this was a non-medical issue and "above the pay grade" for a vet, my cat and I were both treated like the most important thing going on at that moment. The desk staff is wonderfully friendly and they truly love animals. Each vet takes their time and is incredibly thorough throughout the process. I think the best thing I can say is my cat has always screamed bloody murder when being put in a carrier and taken to the vet. But this time, he hardly made a meow. The staff was that caring and the environment that comfortable. Just a fantastic place if you're a pet owner.

Fantastic experience: Exceptional service during our first time visit to Hillcrest Animal Hospital. My Great Dane, Greta, was referred by her vet for a PTLO surgery. Dr. Hodges went above and beyond to throughly explain not only the surgery itself, but also the recovery and how that will be a full family effort + lifestyle change for Greta to ensure success. I appreciate all the time he took during our appointment and also the level of care the entire staff showed to my dog. We have her surgery scheduled for mid June and I can confirm I'm already at ease with the care they'll provide! We highly recommend Hillcrest Animal Hospital.

Fantastic experience: I've had large breed hunting dogs for almost 30 years now, and when you take them out in the woods and let them run crazy every day, injuries happen. I'm from the Buffalo area, and I had a surgeon there who I loved, and who had performed 4 successful TPLO surgeries on my dogs over the years. Among other issues. When the dog I have now tore his cruciate ligament, my first instinct was that I would drive back to Buffalo to see the surgeon I knew, unless I found someone locally who I felt absolutely confident in. After meeting with Dr Hodges, I felt that confidence in him. And he went on to perform the knee surgery on my best friend. 12 weeks post surgery now, I have a happy healthy 120lb dog again, and I know I made the right choice by going to Hillcrest Hospital. The highest compliment I could give someone is that I would trust them with my dogs. After this experience, should I not be living in Little Rock at the time of needing someone to perform a TPLO, I would absolutely drive back here to see Dr Hodges. And if your best friend needs a surgeon you can trust, you should go see him as well.

She always makes sure she takes plenty of time and will often call and make sure things are going well after a sick visit. We have seen a couple of her partners for follow-up when she was out (Dr. Clark and Dr. Razer) and they have both taken excellent care of us, as well. The office staff is also wonderful and very organized. Cannot speak highly enough about this clinic!

Fantastic experience: Very nice staff! Dr Hodges was great too! He explained everything to us about the surgery our cat needed, pros, cons, reactions, medications, and outcomes. Surgery vs nothing, and radiation and chemotherapy. Couldn’t ask for a better surgeon! He called after surgery and explained how everything went and how she was doing. I would definitely go back again if needed.

Fantastic experience: Great experience. The visit was my first time at this clinic. I took my girlfriend's giant golden retriever ( seriously, he's not fat, but over 100lbs! He might be the world's biggest golden retriever) to have a stomach issue check out in case it was serious. The staff were all nice, efficient, empathetic, and seemingly up to date on the current, most accurate medical knowledge.

Fantastic experience: Simply, an outstanding experience! When your fur baby is terribly sick, this clinic should be the first place to go. The staff and veterinarians are very friendly and accommodating. They were able to diagnose and treat my dog after visiting two other clinics. We will definitely be using this clinic again.

Fantastic experience: I had an emergency situation arise over a weekend. I needed a neuro vet on Monday! I got fit in and was very well cared for by Dr. Zimmerman/Nafe! My regular vet wasn’t in the week before so I saw another vet at my clinic that I’ve never met before. He, unfortunately, didn’t listen to me or review the vet ER notes and put 2/2 together. Treated my boy for an infection on the skin. It was a neuro crisis that needed treated with steroids, muscle relaxants, and pain meds with strict confined rest and I’m so grateful it worked out that day I could get squeezed in. Dr. Zimmerman is awesome and I will be returning my pet business back to Hillcrest Animal Hospital!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Zimmerman and the rest of the team at Hillcrest are the best! Our baby , Gunner, was normal 1 day, with a few whimpers here and there for a couple of weeks prior that we thought was the start of hip dysplasia and then completely blind the next day. Our Vet referred us to Hillcrest for neurology testing. Dr. Zimmerman explained Gunner's proceedure to us step by step. He was very thorough with the reading of his regular head CT and then another CT with the dye , which showed no tumors but his brain was covered with what they call "hot spots". From there they drew spinal fluid to have tested, that took an extra 3 days to get the results back. Dr. Zimmerman was very very sympathetic and opologetic when he called us PERSONALLY (1 call to me and a seperate call to my husband) to give us the results from their test on Gunner's advanced (at 60%) large cell lymphoma. Gunner is doing great with all things considered with the help of prednisone and the Hillcrest team. The only thing holding him back right now is his sight. But he has come so unbelievably far (90%-95%) in a weeks time adjusting to it all. Thank you, Hillcrest and Dr. Zimmerman, from the bottom of our hearts for all you have done! The Frost's

Fantastic experience: I brought my cat in (7 years old, male). He had upset stomach issues, and is very skiddish around new people. The vets were excellent with him and were able to pet him and pick him up immediately. They recommended diet changes and did flea/dewormer meds, blood work. He is feeling much better already. Fantastic experience: Went to Hillcrest Vet for my dogs shoulder surgery. Dr. Jeremy Hodges, who performed the surgery, was very pleasant to deal with, but most importantly he fixed my girl's shoulder so that she doesn't limp in pain anymore. The cost was not as bad as I expected either. 10/10 :)

Fantastic experience: Dr. Clark was wonderful when our German Shepherd ate the Thanksgiving turkey carcass and our rescue sustained a laceration to his scalp when he tried to share in the feast. She was thorough and supportive as we worried sick about our babies.

Fantastic experience: I want to share a little story about our dog, Matilda. A few months ago, she got attacked by another dog. She wasn't showing any distress and she didn't have blood anywhere. I walked into the clinic with her the next morning to ask if she could get looked over by one of the doctors, just to make sure I didn't miss any injuries. They immediately got us back into a room and Dr. Razer very gently checked her out and talked to me about what to look for if she started behaving like she was hurt. She was so patient and so gentle with Matilda, it was truly one of the best experiences I've ever had with a vet's office. She didn't even charge us for the visit. Fantastic experience: I have gone to Hillcrest Animal Hospital for thirty or more years with multiple dogs and once or more a few cats. The service has been extremely good.. The one issue I had was taken care of quickly and professionally. I currently see Dr. Razor and she has miraculously brought my beloved eight year old golden retriever back from problems that seemed hopeless. During his current issue, she has worked with me to make this time the best possible for me and Lamar. I shall be forever grateful.

Fantastic experience: I was referred here by my vet because my dog needed to get scoped. The experience was great. Everyone was friendly and they treated my dog like their own. I really appreciated that. I will go back. Adding to my previous comment. This place is amazing! I was referred here again for my dog to have a colonoscopy and Dr. Hodges took one look at him and said he didn’t need it. He took the time out of his day to do a medical work up on my dog and I am so grateful he did!

Fantastic experience: Our normal vet recommended us to this clinic's neurosurgeon to help us diagnose our pug's acute errant behavior (major observable behavior shift within two weeks), and they booked us ASAP the following Monday. Staff was kind and empathetic, treating our layman questions with respect and helping translate them into the appropriate technical context. I can't stress enough the integrity of this location's staff during our visit -- it would've been easy to recommend multi-thousand-$ screenings in our case, but instead of merely providing the options, they put themselves into our shoes and expressed their professional perspective on the risks and projections: "if we find X/Y/Z, then we'd do A/B/C". It was a difficult conversation in our specific situation with the most likely outcome of the screenings NOT changing our little guy's trajectory. Hearing the words "you've given him the best chance he could've had" was an unexpected kindness in a dark place.

Fantastic experience: They are always so nice and give good information. In and out of the office very quickly for an allergy shot for my pup. I’m a return customer and will be back.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Hodges was awesome. Very informative. Lots of questions still out there but I feel like he's doing all he possibly can. It's just a weird set of symptoms and I have to be patient waiting for answers. Best service I have ever had a vet. ❤️

Fantastic experience: It was my first visit to Hillcrest Animal Hospital - they were very busy, but were indeed very professional and offered outstanding customer service. Dr. Zimmerman checked out my Love Joys ~ Shih Tzu “Zion” - and gave us the outcome of his lungs. Would recommend Hillcrest Animal Hospital to anyone for their pets!

Fantastic experience: This office has been fantastic to work with! They are able to get my foster Bassett hounds in, when my vet in Hot Springs can't. Usually within a day or two, which I much appreciate. Dr Hodges is also wonderful about returning phone calls and answering questions. Their clients are the nicest people as well. The only negative is the parking situation, if you have a big truck like we do, it can be tricky.

Fantastic experience: From the front to the Doc, Hillcrest took such great care of our Lex. I will be transferring care for all of our dogs. Dr. Z saw that our dog (62 lbs) was in pain and he carried him. Our existing vet has seen him multiple times and they did not give the care nor the extra TLC to our dog that these professionals did. Highly recommend.
