Fantastic experience: Alex by far is the best vet tech ever, give that man a raise, you can just tell he loves animals and loves his job, and Dr Scrunchy, hope I'm pronouncing that right was just fantastic

Fantastic experience: Took my dog there for constant itching and belly rash. Dr Larry Rebbecchi diagnosed it immediately and ordered a shot of steroids and an antibiotic regimen. He had us in stitches with his horse racing stories. I never laughed so much at a doctor's office. I felt like I knew him for years. Very personable and reassuring. So far Bella is responding well to treatment.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Lawrence Rebbecchi has been our family vet since he began his practice in the early 1990s. My mom was one of his first customers with her dog, and 30+ years later I am taking my own dogs to him for care. The office staff is always so friendly and helpful. Most of all Dr. Rebbecchi is an absolute pleasure - he is honest about treatments and always has cost conscious recommendations without sacrificing care. I recommend him to all of my family (most of which already see his practice) and friends and anytime i speak to someone looking for a vet recommendation. I have seen almost all of the other vets at his location as well when we have an urgent/unplanned matter - they are all friendly, kind, patient and knowledgeable! My pets are my children and I trust no one more!

Dr Larry is the best, knew right off the bat what my GSD had, offered suggestions and treated him very professional. Went above and beyond his role. He is, first and foremost, a genuine and kind human being. We had an opportunity to be involved in a joint project that involved a young man and a dog. It couldn't have been a more rewarding experience for everyone. One expects a veterinarian to be a good diagnostician and healer, but Dr. Rebbecchi practices a body, mind and spirit approach that sets him apart. I'm so glad Q-Tip and I have him in our lives.

Fantastic experience: I have a 20 yr old cat with four chronic illnesses (kidney disease, hyperthyroidism, pancreatitis, and a heart murmur) and I’m so grateful to the vets at Philly Animal Hospital for giving Sunny the best care since 2007. Not only are they great vets (esp. Dr. Rebecchi and Dr. Chung, who’ve seen this ginger boy the most), but they’ve taught me how to better care for and manage his conditions. My mom also brings her cats here, too!

Positive experience: My dog was sick. I had the black vet. I felt he was very cold and was no help. The vet tech however was a blessing to me. I thank God she was there that day to talk to me and help me make a decision.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Rebbecchi (aka Dr. Larry) has been our veterinarian for years, and I truly can’t say enough good things about him. He has cared for all three of my dogs, and from day one he has always been honest, fair, and genuinely kind. You never feel rushed, pressured, or talked into things you don’t need — he explains options clearly and lets you make the best decision for your pet and your situation. One thing I also really appreciate is how flexible and accessible his office is. There are so many different appointment times and hours, and walk in hours which makes it easy no matter what your schedule looks like. Most recently, he helped me through one of the hardest moments — saying goodbye to my 18-year-old girl, Honey, on 1/11/26. The compassion, patience, and dignity he showed both her and me during that time meant more than I can ever express. He made an incredibly painful experience a little more bearable, and I will always be grateful for that. If you’re looking for a vet who truly cares about your animals and treats both pets and owners with respect and honesty, Dr. Larry is the one. Fantastic experience: We were a walk in for our frenchie “Gizmo”, which we thought was a serious medical condition starting to happen, staff was very friendly and Dr Hugh O’neill was great !! Friendly, informative, didn’t want us wasting our time or money on serious testing unless we really needed it. It was an awesome vet visit, definitely recommend and we will be going there full time from now on !!! And Gizmo is back to 100% thank you again !!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Hugh is the absolute best! I came in as an emergency on a Wednesday night, my cat was sick not eating/vomiting. I was so impressed with everyone from the front desk to the vet techs who were all fabulous with fii. ( I thought for sure she was going to be sassy about everything but she was good with them) Dr. Hughes gave fii some meds and sent her home to be monitored, after about 24hrs still no eating I had to bring her back on Friday morning. I was technically a walk in and they took fii back right away, all her test came back fine they couldn't find anything wrong other than her being "stressed" I guess with a new baby at home we are all a little stressed lol. Dr. Hughes was kind enough to give her some meds and keep her overnight where he hydrated her and tried to get some food in her. He called to give me an update before he left for the night which helped ease my mind as I was so worried about her. I was able to pick fii up on Saturday morning before the big storm and to my surprise she's actually eating again slowly no more vomiting so I guess she's on a road to recovery. I truly don't know how else to show my appreciation other than write a review, I highly recommend Dr. Hughes and his team everyone was top tier and I truly appreciate you guys! Fantastic experience: My first time taking my two cats was the best VET appointment for an annual visit along with Vaccination. Starting with the friendly staff, to the actual appointment. The appointment was supposed to be with the owner daughter but she wasn't available so to be set with the owner was a testament to the care, and attentativeness to the business. He gave advice on nutrition for my male cat, and our overall conversation about their health was top notch! I look forward to our yearly appointments, so my recommendations for the Philadelphia Animal Hospital is a 10, being the best!

Fantastic experience: I want to tell the pet loving community an experience I had with Dr. Larry. My dog was misdiagnosed last week with a brain tumor by my long time vet. Charlie was fine when I left for work and when I returned home Charlie was on his side unable to walk. I took him to our vet who said we should put him to sleep because he has a brain tumor. Well I was so upset and could not believe the diagnosis as he was fine hours before. I frantically called my neighbor who always said I needed to take Charlie to Dr. Larry at Philadelphia Animal Hospital if there was ever a serious issue. Well I took Charlie from my vet, got in the car and called and asked if Dr. Larry was in. The office said yes but he was booked but Charlie would be seen by him or another doctor. I drove from Mays Landing to Philadelphia (over an hour) and sat to be seen. I told the front desk that I came to see Dr. Larry and they asked me to be seated. They brought me back after waiting a bit and I asked the nurse if he could see us. She went out and talked to him and said he started his day 12 hours ago but he would see us personally. He walked in smiling and was kind and walked over to Charlie and after a few questions said " Charlie has a middle ear infection and I WILL fix it" Well 5 days later Charlie was back to normal after a course of medication. I mean this man did not know us, worked a long shift and stayed after his normal shift to help us. No one has been so kind and compassionate with our pets. A GIANT THANK YOU FROM US AND CHARLIE. WE LOVE YOU .

Fantastic experience: I've been here several times and the staff is very friendly. The Dr's and assistant techs on staff are also very caring of your pet and respectful. They don't tolerate ignorance here they rather hear your dog bark all day than you so please be respectful they are doing the very best they can. With an appointment and depending on your animals condition your not there long.

Fantastic experience: After over 30 years with a veterinary practice in Delaware County, I felt disappointed when some of the staff interactions became rude and dismissive, despite having brought more than 15 animals there over the years. I later connected with Philadelphia Animal Hospital through the associated doggy daycare and met Dr. Rebecci and his daughter, who were both incredibly caring and understanding. The office staff is generally friendly and welcoming. My only drawback is long phone hold times and a check-in process that could be more efficient. Overall, a very positive experience with compassionate care

Fantastic experience: Dr Hughie ONeill was fabulous with my two new kittens, who I took in (for life!) from a ferral colony. Other vets there are also very good -- I've seen them with other pets. Their prices are quite reasonable compared to other veterinary practices.

Negative experience: This is one of the most unprofessional vet clinics I've been to, mind you, most vets in Philadelphia are just bad. We have a dog who was diagnosed with cushings disease. Every single time we try to get bloodwork done or need refills on his medication there is always an issue, usually bc of front desk staff disorganization and laziness. Being someone with 10+years of receptionist experience at a doctor's office, I know what receptionist limitations actually are.. these people are just lazy. Our dog had bloodwork 2 weeks ago and even though we have left several messages for Dr. Chapman, we still have not received a call back when this is a serious condition and his medication needs to remain consistent. I've had so many other issues with other pets I take there and so many non-returned calls to even list. I shouldn't have to call 4+ times and be told I'll get a call back and not actually get a call back. I'm definitely concerned with my dog dying due to the negligence of this vet clinic and will have to start searching for another. Only positive thing about this clinic is that they have extensive business hours compared to other clinics and walk-ins, but expect to wait hours (longest I've waited was 7 hours).

They explain things well, lay out the options, make suggestions and ultimately plan with you for the care of your pet. I appreciate the fact that they do not try to push expensive tests and procedures but instead approach the problem in the most realistic way.

Fantastic experience: Despite a glitch in the reminder calls for the Animal Hospital of Philadelphia noting an appointment I was taken on as a walk-in and seen almost immediately given the nearly empty waiting area. The Intake was quick and Dr. Hugh bounced in and assessed the needs of treating itch ears, possible tick which turned out to be a small subcutaneous cyst and two recommended shots. He was super professional while explaining every step of care as we went along. Couldn’t be happier and Yosemite Sam, my Norwegian Forest Cat, agreed cuddling in his crate all the way home.

My dog was surprisingly calm which was very unusual from the visits with his former vet. They listened to my concerns , came up with a plan and provided clear instructions. Prices were reasonable. Positive experience: It was just for a nail clip, and it seems its getting a little pricey I mean three years ago it was ten dollars today sixteen dollars and what happen to the discount of 10 percent when you paid in cash.

Fantastic experience: Brought cash in for issues with his allergies. Ear and skin and sure enough he had ear infections and the Dr and the tech was so patient and so sweet towards Cash 90 lb boxer and he is a big baby but they were so gentle with him and showed that they really do care about your dog. I didn’t feel rushed even though it was the end of day they took their time with cash to make sure he was not as stressed out. And today cash is feeling so much better. Thank you again for taken care of my baby boy❤️

Negative experience: Perhaps you should get covers so animals can not climb into your equipment as the techs own words were "I hate when they do that" in the most compassionless tone I have ever heard. Perhaps you should also not just stare at me as I try and get said animal out of the machine by myself. Also, I have literally never been to a single vet that does not have the ability to administer even a small does of medication that can calm an animal. Walking in and saying "what a zoo!" and then walking out while I am literally in the floor fighting with your machine and my animal is also not helpful. Finally, patients can 100% hear you through the walls. This was by far the worst vet visit I have ever had in my entire life and I literally had to have my last cat put down in a traumatic way last April. I will never be back and never recommend this place, period.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Daria is a very skilled veterinarian. She is very thorough and always makes me and my dog feel at ease. My dog, Chloe, showers Dr. Daria with kisses and Dr. Daria always encourages Chloe to do so. It is so sweet!

Fantastic experience: We love Philly Animal Hospital! We have 3 English bulldogs and they always seem to have something going on. This month, our boy Coach must have been bit by something in the yard. His eye was swollen and he had hives all over his body. Dr. Daria and her staff were super attentive and listened to our concerns (he’s super sensitive to his face being touched.) She created a plan of care without even touching him which made his overall experience much more positive. He received the care that he needed without any added stress.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going there around 15 years with a lot of dogs and several cats. I also have friends and family going there with their fur babies. I love Dr Darria. She’s absolutely one of the kindest most caring vets that I’ve ever dealt with. Had some issues with the front staff lately but as long as Dr. Darriais there, I will continue to go to Philadelphia Animal Hosp.. Her dad Larry Rebecca is also amazing wonderful veterinarians and wonderful people. honestly, I love Dr Darria like she was my own family and it’s because of her kindness to my family and my fur babies.

Fantastic experience: My first time at Philadelphia, Animal Hospital and thanks to my friend Jim for getting me an appointment with Dr. Rebbecchi. The Dr. listened to all of my concerns about my large cat Jack. He put my mind at ease and told me what to do, he gave him the shots he needed, and I will return in a year. I went home feeling so much better knowing that my boy is OK just the way he is.
