Fantastic experience: This place is a godsend! Amazing prices for people who do TNR, which is SO important in reducing strays, but also helps low income people afford to be responsible pet owners by spaying/neutering. You make an appointment, show up early and wait in your car until your buzzer goes off. Later in the day they call you with about an hour in advance to come get your cat/dog. This was about a 40min drive for me and my boyfriend for the kitten we took in but we'll worth it

Fantastic experience: I found this place by chance and I’m so happy I did. All of my local vets wanted $300-$600 to spay my daughters kitten and give her the basic shots. I happened to find this place with a Google search and I couldn’t believe the prices. The sign up process was easy. I answered some basic questions online and signed some forms thru email. I paid under $200 to have my cat spayed, micro shipped and got her shots. We dropped her off in the morning they called me in the afternoon to pick her up. They sent us home with medication that she needed for a few days. Made sure I knew care instructions and made sure I was comfortable with everything. Her incision looked really good from day one and healed really fast. Not only are they affordable they really care about your pets. They talked to my 7 year old about caring for her kitty and they helped her feel comfortable about the surgery at drop off. My daughter was really worried about her baby the receptionist was amazing with my daughter and really helped her process everything that was happening. I highly recommend this place to anyone who’s getting pets spayed, neutered, microchipped or needs basic shots. They were amazing and affordable

Fantastic experience: Hi, I just wanted to thank everyone so much from the bottom of my heart. Two days into recovery from her spay and salem sue scarlet fever (2.7 years old) is a completely different cat. She’s more confident, more vocal, more playful, and doesn’t seem to be nearly as anxious anymore. She’s exploring the house. She had something fall over right next to her and she didn’t run away at all. If anyone needs help getting coverage for the spay/neuter, please reach out to the bond between. TBB also have food shelves for your animals. These two places are absolutely amazing. Salems incision site barely looks like anything at all, and Salem hasn’t been licking at it or been showing any discomfort. She got her vaccines, her microchip, and I am so relieved. We got her two months ago and it took some time to get in with kitten season, but it was completely worth it. Staff are so friendly and so excited about their jobs and do this all day, which is so reassuring. Pictures of when she was able to see her (neutered) boyfriend again after being isolated. Fantastic experience: The vet techs and ladies at the front desk were very nice and it was very clean. I was waiting first for about 30 min. Then a nice gentleman with his pup came up about 15 min before they opened. Then one of the vet techs arrived and explained that they would open the doors soon. Then this a hole pulls up right in front of the door at 7:59 and tries to butt in front of me and the 2nd dude. But the vet tech knew what he was doing, so when she came out with the pagers she said ill be handing these in the order that you arrived. She was great and very sweet to my baby girl

Fantastic experience: My vet wanted between $600-1100 for neutering my puppy and I’m on a limited income. Mn SNAP offers a great service for a fraction of that for income limited persons. Staff was very friendly and accomodating! Thank you for what you guys do!

Positive experience: Update: I talked to the vet and they were very apologetic about his nails. The carprofen upset his tummy so they offered me information and a new prescription within a timely manner of me calling. This is still a good place for people struggling to afford vet bills but I just wish they had been more careful with his nails or at least had let me know at pick up. - I took my shih tzu to MN snap on 2/16 to be nuetered, and the process went well. So far he’s doing good. However on the night he came home, i noticed his foot had blood on it and his nail started to bleed. I looked and they had quicked every single one of his nails on each foot. All of them you could see they hit the quick and were trimmed extremely short, his nails were mutilated. How do you keep trimming after quicking a couple nails and don’t stop to think “maybe his nails don’t need trimming”. I’m a dog groomer and i understand accidentally hitting the quick once or a couple times. But quicking every single one of his nails is just insane. I wasn’t asked before hand if I wanted his nails trimmed, and they didn’t let me know at pick up about it either. I wish they would have at least told me when I picked up so I could have had styptic powder on hand. Now his nails are bothering him as well as his surgical site.

Fantastic experience: Such an amazing group of people working here! I've went 2 different times, both times the people were great. Dr. Emily is exceptional and so caring! My cat had some issues completely unrelated to what was done at MN SNAP but Emily called and checked up on my cat after!! Wouldn't have trusted anyone else more! Their communication is great! So great to have places that do this and staff that care so much about their work and the pets they take care of!

Fantastic experience: Had our Border Collie brought in he was dual cryptid. They took such good care of him. Very fast affordable and caring.

Negative experience: Watch the cat carrier!! While this is a great option for low income spay and neuter procedures, their organization is terrible. My cat’s carrier was swapped out for another cat that had ear mites. When i got my cat carrier back, my Tupperware container was missing and the medical record paperwork i had in one of the pockets was missing too. Also- she was supposed to be sent home with medication & syringes, but the meds were missing so all i had was syringes. Lesson learned - watch your items and make sure they send you home with everything you need. To MNSnap if you see this post, yes my name isn’t in your records for Pepper (the cat you performed procedure on 2/19/25) because her previous owner had the booking tied to her name.

Fantastic experience: my mochi got neutered here and im so grateful for programs like MN SNAP that provide high quality care and services for low income pet owners. It's really helpful and it definitely took a lot of financial stress off my shoulders. everyone should be able to afford taking care of their furry babies and MN SNAP makes that possible. i was able to get mochi microchipped and during their physical exam they found fleas and were able to treat it as well (which i would have never known unfortunately). mochi is doing well 1 day post-op, i will give a fair warning that if you have a kitten to have them in a cage / kennel during recovery because mochi was quick at it jumping and running around as soon as he got home, keeping them locked up will prevent any excess strain on the wound. other than that hes doing great and thank you so much MN SNAP for what you do!!!

Negative experience: I got my male cat neutered and took care of him and watched for any problems, He died three days after I took him home!vet said sometimes that happens!I'm shocked!they offered to pay us back.no explanation for what happened! That's how I feel about saving a buck!

Fantastic experience: They forgot to charge our portion and only collected 10$. I wasn't even paying attention. I was focused on my pup. Got a call 2 days later. Make sure they get all the details wrapped up. If they keep dropping the ball like that, this unbelievable service won't be available long. Thank you all!! Belle T. is healing nicely.

Fantastic experience: Was there with Bay B just 2.5 yrs ago to have her spayed and shots. They are a Awesome Group of fellow Animal Lovers. Have to go in again for update on shots.

Negative experience: The price is good and beneficial to people who can't afford an expensive clinic, but when you schedule an appointment time, just be aware that is not the actual appointment time. That's check in time, and they won't do your pet right away. Your pet will sit in the surgery room with other pets all day! Probably why they say it's okay for your pet to eat before surgery. You also will be waiting almost all day as well. And after the surgery, my poor buddy, was also sent home with a his blanket peed on with a fresh wound from surgery. You think they would supply a new blanket for the cages if they're soiled, especially if they're going to leave animals at their clinic all day without bathrooms for them. I would've given this place a 3 star because the price was perfect and I'm just glad I got my pet fixed. But it was the soiled blanket for me (soiled blankets and fresh wounds can cause infections) on top of it, I could've brought my pet in at a scheduled time vs waiting all day just for my pet to be next in line. Felt like the DMV but for pets.

Fantastic experience: I took my pup in on a Monday morning, they were quick and theral. Daisy had no signs of anything bothering her and it looks like the scar is healing well. Good help is hard to find and they were great. We are so thankful

Fantastic experience: For a very nervous cat mom of 2 kittens, the MNSNAP Staff was so incredibly kind and reassuring! This program is such a blessing for people who are on assistance (I'm disabled) or have a hard time affording the astronomical spay and neuter procedures at a vet. I am truly truly grateful and I donated 4 onesies for cats being spayed today (they were too big for my 2). I believe in paying it forward, and doing anything you can to help your fellow man. Fantastic experience: Plan to wait a while in your car with your pager. Other than that, they are organized and genuinely care about your pet. I have had 3 cats go through for neutering, and none had any problems.

Positive experience: Please retrain staff on how to use a tattoo machine without causing more harm than needed. The problem is that they went soo deep with the tattoo needle that it sliced her. Looks like razor blade cut with green in on it

Fantastic experience: I've been there before with my first cat Squirt. They treated him with so much care. They said he was adorable and well taken care of. He has passed over a year ago and still very sad of the loss in my life. At that time they had grants for animals but not much any more. They may have some money now but not sure if how much. They are a wonderful organization and would recommend anyone to take there pets to MN SNAP. I was really nervous when I went back to get Squirt after his surgery, but they reassured me he would be fine in a few days. Just keep him quiet and he will be ok. No jumping up and down and all around they said. Made me smile. Love the volunteers and staff. Wonderful people and place for pets to be well taken care of. There is a picture of Squirt II. He's such a living, adorable cat. Just recently I took him back to mnsnap to be neutered and they did a wonderful job. They called me promptly when he was coming out of surgery and that he had ate a little and it was such an adorable cat that when he came to the gate when they would open up the door on his little box the thing that he would come right to the door and want to be snuggled and hugged and petted and stuff like that they said he was such a good cat while I was there. I ended up having to get there late because I'm getting a ride to be there on time but the person who stayed there was there till almost 6:00 by the time I got there but I want to thank staff the volunteers very much so with his neutering because he healed well it was a great neutering job they're the best. I also want to thank the volunteer Nancy who gave me the or the follow-up to go to the program that's over off of 25th and minnehaha where I was able to obtain a voucher for squirts the second neutering.thank you again Nancy and all the volunteers and all the staff for doing the work that they do for all the animals here in North and South Minneapolis and for wherever other people are coming from. I've also added a picture of Squirt the one who was just neutered

Fantastic experience: Absolutely satisfied with overall experience!!! My fiancee and I are new dog parents, and couldn't have asked for better reassurance from such wonderful staff. The staffs customer service is impeccable, all questions were answered in beyond a five star rating if possible. After our puppy was spayed, follow-up care was provided clearly, worries were calmed with quick accommodation to response, additional services such as a friendly question of a cone to protect our baby was greatly appreciated as our heads were worried when dropping her off. Star ratings, and words are not enough for this organization, bring your cat or dog to this organization when showing quality care to your pet.

Negative experience: The front desk lady was rude and gave me severe attitude for just asking a simple question. Not my fault you’re having a rough day. Maybe have a nicer person at the front desk. And also sad they raise the prices. But it is what it is I guess.

Fantastic experience: Everything about my experience with mnsnap was pleasant. Online registration was straightforward and simple. The wait was a little longer than I had expected, about a month, but that was no problem. The staff were extremely nice and helpful. They also offer shots and other products. The price to neuter my cat was only $100. My cat also got two shots. $130 total. WAY better than the $700 my vet was quoting. All in all, I highly recommend mnsnap if you qualify.

Positive experience: The service is amazing. Started thinking of ways they could stager appointments so you could drop them off at first contact. Appointment was 830. Paged to come into the building from my car at 935. Once inside very fast and efficient staff had me out in less then 10 minutes. You then wait for a call in the afternoon to tell you when you come back to pick your pet up. Fast movie to watch for aftercare and out the door.

Fantastic experience: I brought my kitten here and had a wonderful experience. The staff are incredibly friendly, and it’s clear they have a love for animals. They were diligent with the process and communicated with me every step of the way—from calling a couple days before to remind me of my appointment and what to bring, to explaining the post-surgical care instructions. The whole neuter/spay process is generally very clear and well-outlined. This is such a great resource for the community and I’m so happy it exists. My kitten is an emotional support animal and having access to the affordable, yet comprehensive, care provided at MN SNAP is a blessing. Here’s my little guy post-surgery :)

Positive experience: Got my kitten neutered for $100! They were a bit behind when I went to drop him off so we had to wait in my car for almost an hour. But again, $100 for a neuter is awesome. He's happy and healthy so I cant complain too much. Staff were friendly and the video you watch is very informative.

Fantastic experience: I foster kittens for a local rescue and have brought a few litters here to be fixed. The staff is helpful, attentive and really nice! I like that they have you watch an instructional video before taking your pet home to make sure you know what to expect and what to do.

Fantastic experience: Snap MN canceled all spay/neuter apps for December. I had to schedule with my normal vet, 4× cost. Luckily for me Snap opened scheduling back up, and I was able to get my lil kitty spayed with them. Super thankful for their services!

Positive experience: I've gotten my cat neutered here before but at a different location and the process was smooth. Affordable for sure. Try to book way in advance as they fill up fast! The Minneapolis one went smooth as well. The staff was friendly. You pull up for your appointment and they come out and check you in and you get a pager while you wait outside. One it goes off, you go in and they double check everything and ask if you want any other services. They let you know what time in the day they'll be done with your pet and they'll text you a pick-up time. Once you pick your pet up, you watch a video on how to care for your pet after surgery and they give you their meds with instructions and all of you have any other questions. My Rottie didn't take to putting the cone on so it was a battle. They helped with it and were patient with him lol as it was a show to see lol! Hours after I was home, they sent a text remembering my dog didn't like the cone and sent me alternatives of what he could wear. I thought that was so thoughtful. Definitely the place to take your pet to get spayed or neutered.

Fantastic experience: Nice experience they are really good with your pets and have a very organized way of doing things. They give great directions to follow for your pet after you leave. With our female dog she got an infection in her incision and they were great about getting us antibiotics for free of charge after we sent them pictures of her incision for them to look at and see what steps were needed next to keep our dog healthy and get rid of the infection

Fantastic experience: Very helpful. I did not get what you would call a discount, but I am so happy that there was somewhere to take the cat that has made my chicken coop her home. I really am an animal lover and cried over the fact they had to trim one of her ears, but I understand why now.

The receptionist was an exceptional lady that answered my questions and even allowed me to text her about further possible services and whether they were necessary. I had a very positive and great experience with my kitten man, a true fuzzy faced ruffian. The helpfulness of having the post op surgery video available online on YouTube was appreciated so that the rest of my family could also be well informed about our kitty's aftercare expectations/instructions. ---Expect to have to park however wherever you can initially then as the crowd gets put through their processing then you can even move your car closer to the entryway. The street the entrance to the building is on is a busy high traffic street, just noting that for whoever might be wondering, as well as the parking being a bit of a tricky thing to navigate. Mostly just putting forth information I had wanted to know when I was going to my appointment. Otherwise I'm so glad I was able to afford these critical services and l quality care for my loveable cuddle monster-- my lil man is all good for having went through it. Giving them all the stars available and more if I could ❣️

Fantastic experience: Staff were super friendly and responsive in communications, and their services are affordable. This last portion was necessary in my situation, and they made it easy, yet I didn't feel like a charity case. I am extremely grateful for the services they offer!

Negative experience: They may take care of the animals just fine, but humans are not their strength. Documents must be on your phone, rules must be strictly followed (but they won’t tell you what they are) receptionist is snippy. Place stinks of urine. Not a pleasant experience. Sorry I traumatized my pet for nothing. I’m taking him to my real vet.

Fantastic experience: This place is the best I support them regularly even though I haven't had to bring any pets in for a long while. They do the best work to take care of not only keeping the pet population in check but keeping your pets taken care of for a reasonable rate. Fantastic experience: Very professional staff. Everyone was caring and super kind. They accommodated us by ensuring our kitties were operated on as soon as possible as we had a lengthy drive. I would highly recommend them.

Positive experience: They took great care with our kitty Estrella, who was spayed, chipped, and vaccinated here. They seem to be booked out a couple of months, but they are a great option as they have a fee scale when it comes to pricing. Which is amazing as you know vet services can be spendy. Our kitty was dropped off at 8:30 am. and ready for pick-up by 5:45 pm. We are returning in two weeks for Estrella's moms' surgery (Joy).

Fantastic experience: Super efficient check-in process and the level of compassionate care is phenomenal I've TNR'D many of the yard cats and the colony is much safer.

Positive experience: Affordable services for your fur babies! It's a bit of a drive for me, wish they had a closer location for me so I didn't have to drive and hour and a half each way and you have to be there early and I had to wait around but worth the money. Friendly staff.

Fantastic experience: Thanks everyone for the help with paying a low price to get my cat fixed today. When I called to see how my cat Tom was doing she was very helpful in letting me know what was going on and when I'd expect to here from them again. They were helpful with the after care. Instructions. All together it a good place to have your pet fixed, shots or chipped. Thanks to all of the staff there your much appreciated.

Fantastic experience: I was looking for a certain clinic in St. Paul my friend used and stumble across this program. Took a leap of faith and I'm glad I did. It was a hard descison to spay my lil bean. Nikita recovered great. Thanks MN SNAP. They also do hernia repairs for $10 if it is open. Im glad they reassured me as they took her to the operating room, and I believe they did a good job. Reveiws are accruate. Check in is around an hour, waited 5 hours and check out within 10 mins. For scheduling you can always leave them a voicemail asking, but I would recommend planning 2-4 months in advance.

Fantastic experience: Awesome program. Got my cat spayed and microchipped for a very reasonable rate. The surgery was preformed well, and healed up easily. Staff was very friendly and helpful to work with.

Fantastic experience: Such a great facility and staff. They are super clean, efficient, and take good care of your furry friends! My puppy ended up getting an infection from licking too much and the on-call nurse got back back to me within five minutes and filled a prescription. She also answered all my questions and made me feel much better. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: MN SNAP are so professional, friendly, and knowledgable! Thank you for creating such a program to allow some financial relief. I did scheduled it like 2 months out for both my 1 year old pups to be neutered & spayed. They have recovered well! Regarding the pre-op process, it was very clear and simple. Very appreciative of the reminder phone call and what to expect. I fed the dogs early that morning as requested. At post-op, they gave a courtesy call/text of the dogs' recovery "doing well after surgery, awake, & waiting for the dog to walk comfortably", if there were going to be any additional payment needed which is optional (anxiety med only applied to Chocolate), and when to pick up. Both of my dogs were ready to pick up before noon on their surgery days, not that I was in a rush. In times where I'm unsure of their recovery or just other health concerns not related to their surgery, all the Docs were so easy to reach. Texting via pictures/videos and prescribing additional medication was very fast and stressfree. I really appreicate their promptness and even checking back days later. We were really nervous about the procedures, but glad we chose MN SNAP! Chocolate and Kesa are super happy and energetic! P.S. there is a nearby gas station with ATM if you're short on cash. They were so accomodating and not "rushy" of my payment prior to surgery.
