Fantastic experience: Great place and amazing staff! Kayla, Vicky, April are all so sweet to my dog Zeus and they are always patient with me seeing that I travel out of town a lot and have to leave my dog to board with them for days on end. Amazing people!

Fantastic experience: I have a toy poodle who wasn’t feeling well, and his regular vet was unable to see him. Dr. Shea was incredibly patient and gentle with my dog. Marianna took the time to ask detailed questions about his symptoms and truly made us feel like she cared about what was going on. April was also so kind and welcoming. From the very first phone call to the moment we walked out the door, the level of care and service we received was outstanding.

Fantastic experience: We had a wonderful experience at this vet office from start to finish. Dr. May was kind, knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all of my questions without making us feel rushed. Minerva, the tech, was incredibly gentle and patient especially with my anxious dogs. She made them feel comfortable and handled them with such care. April at the front desk was friendly and welcoming, and the whole visit was efficient with very little wait time. It’s clear the entire team works well together and truly cares about their patients. Grateful to have found a vet office that treats our dogs with such compassion and provides such quick, professional service. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Jennifer and Dr. Shea were amazing with taking care of my dog. They were very professional, kinda, and attentive during our yearly appointment.

Negative experience: EDIT: I posted the quote they gave me for over $700 - I'll let you decide who the real crook is! I brought my dog here for the first time and was left waiting in the exam room for over an hour. This was the first appointment of the morning and there was only one other customer in the building, so the delay was frustrating enough that I eventually walked out. The vet later called and apologized profusely, so I decided to give them another chance. On my next visit, I brought my dog in for routine shots and mentioned a small dark spot on her belly. The vet immediately recommended removal, saying that if it were her own dog, she would go forward with surgery. I was then given a quote for several hundred dollars. Thankfully, I sought a second opinion at Auburn University — where they informed me that the “suspicious spot” was simply my dog’s nipple. (This is my first girl dog - I didn’t know). Needless to say they were shocked that a vet would advise such and found it to be an aggressive and unwarranted recommendation. The advice I received here was not only unnecessary but came across as a blatant cash grab. I will not be returning. If you bring your pets here, please proceed with caution.

Fantastic experience: We have been taking all of our dogs to Northside for about 4 years and have never had anything but a great experience. All of the staff truly cares about our pets and all of the vets are equally as thorough when caring for our dogs.

Fantastic experience: I brought my dog Sophie in for after hours urgent care. She was seen immediately. The staff and the doctor were very kind, and gentle with Sophie. They diagnosed an abscessed and ruptured anal gland and treated her promptly. Of course the price was higher due to it being an after hours visit, but I thought the overall cost was very fair. I'm glad that they are there for evening emergencies without having to go all the way to Auburn.

Fantastic experience: Northside is always helpful, gentle and caring. They treat my kitten like their own during extended stays, routine checks. The Doctors are always knowledgeable and able to communicate complex issues clearly. Their texting is quite responsive considering how many other pets I see coming here all the time.

Fantastic experience: EXCELLENT doctors and staff. Very caring and knowledgeable. I have 4 ferrets and it is very hard to find a knowledgeable ferret vet! Dr. Stewart is great with them and even has some of her own. All of the techs love playing with the ferrets when i bring them in. The vet tech we had, Mackenzie was great. She asks lots of questions about the ferrets when checking you in. and the receptionist (Davia) was also great. Everyone is super friendly.

Fantastic experience: Northside is very warm and welcoming. They actually do care for their patients and you can tell they love what they do. They take time to answer your questions and really try to figure out what is wrong with your Pet. I am very satisfied with the care my cat received from this facility. Dr. May and Dr. Bell and the staff are great!!

Fantastic experience: We had our first visit at this clinic this past week. We brought our new puppy in for his first visit, and to get him caught up on shots. There was no wait when calling to get him in to an appointment. When we arrived, getting checked in was fast and easy, there was a very short wait to get back into a room, and both the vet and the vet tech were professional, listened to everything I had to say, and were very transparent about pricing. They went over the cost of everything with me before treating him, which I LOVED. I will be returning with my puppy for all of his future vet needs!

Fantastic experience: Staff were friendly and attentive to my fur baby. The building and rooms were clean and check in and out were seamless. Definitely a place you and your fur baby can trust for great care.

Fantastic experience: This is the vet you want. It feels like everyone there genuinely cares about the health of your pet and your experience visiting. They don't cut corners, but also they do *not* push any services that are unnecessary just to make money. The veterinarians there are very knowledgeable and will take the time to explain your pet's health and care and answer any questions. All of the staff are wonderful, but I especially recommend Dr. Shea Smith. She helped care for my rescue kitten, Tortellini, who was under 2 weeks old. Everyone there was happy to answer questions that I had about Tortellini as I figured things out. They also have a text messaging service that has been helpful to know if I need to come in for a health concern. They also do great with "exotic" pets, and were knowledgeable and careful with my hamster Beignet when we had an emergency. We were able to get in within a day and he received appropriate care to recover great. The new after hours emergency services are very reassuring in case we have another emergency. When our elderly cat sadly passed away of old age recently, they were very kind and sympathetic as we considered cremation options for her. They made the difficult time as easy as possible and were very considerate as we said goodbye. I recommend Northside Animal Hospital to all of my family and friends. They are the only vet office I will go to.

Fantastic experience: Our normal vet saved one of our babies several years ago after Auburn almost killed him. But they really let us down this time. After 5 mins of walking into this AMAZING Pet ER, Northside, I knew I was exactly where we needed to be for our 7/8 yr old Great Dane. Took her to her primary Vet the day prior for extreme the night before. The did not really do much of anything and said it’s just an upset stomach. Literally less than 12 hours later, she progressively just got worse and worse. Sat morning I knew we had to get her somewhere and quick. LUCKILY….Dr. Bell at Northside took the time to actually listen and ask questions and actually examine our baby girl….Pancreatitis. Pancreatitis….NOT just an upset stomach. Thankfully this is 100% treatable and she will be back to normal in a few days. It wasn’t 12 hours after seeing Dr Bell that we started seeing some actual progress, not regression. I will be switching veterinarians. Oh - AND actually asked what our budget was when determining medication so that we could afford them. (After spending $350 the day before). Both of our Great Danes will be much better off in Dr. Bells hands. DEFINITELY recommend!!! Thank you, Northside. Idk if we would still have our girl today if you hadnt been there for us..for her.

Fantastic experience: I had to rush my boy here after he started yelping when walking. I was super worried because this is completely unlike him. I was overwhelmed and a bit scared. But as soon as we stepped into the building I felt a little relief. Everyone was so kind. Linda was extremely welcoming and kind. I believe she’s the one that was able to get us in so soon so I am extremely grateful for her! Minerva was patient (I mean they all were honestly) with my boy. He has anxiety and was totally not happy about being there. But she treated him so kindly which was very comforting. And our doctor Kelsey…she was super kind and explained everything so thoroughly. She also treated my boy with kindness and she did a wonderful job at reassuring me that he would be ok in the long run. I am extremely grateful for everyone in this facility. I hope this is the only urgent visit we need but I look forward to working with them at his upcoming visit. Of course Whiskey isnt happy about it, but I’m happy he gets the best treatment there.

Fantastic experience: My sweet girl has become grumpy as a middle aged pup. It’s something we’re learning to adjust to, she needs a little extra love & attention. Northside always does so well with her, and they treat her so sweet even when she isn’t being very sweet herself. I’m grateful to have this vet’s office, they truly care about animals.

Fantastic experience: I am transitioning my cat family over to Northside Animal Hospital. I adopted a stray from them last year and saw how they handled the animals and the care they displayed. I also liked their urgent care options. They have fair pricing and come up with the best options for you and your furbabies. Im really happy to be part of their family.

Fantastic experience: I love Northside! They have a great staff that listens to you but will advocate for your pet. As an existing patient of theirs, i was able to get and apt in less than 24 hours for a sick appointment. They go over all proposed services and gives you a form to sign ensuring you know the cost, which isn't terrible for vet fees. They have a in house pharmacy too which is so convenient! And they even have after hours care too, if needed. We love Northside.

Fantastic experience: Animal care over money, just the way it should be! I had an appointment for sedated nail trim as my pup hates her paws being touched. We've had to do this a few times but I'm worried about the frequency. I expressed this to the tech. Only 5 minutes after dropping her off I got a call that they had been about to trim her nails successfully without sedation and without harm to anyone. They have me a prescription to help calm her down for next time and some advice on how to do it myself even. I appreciate their concern for best medical care over getting the most money. Will continue to go to this vet Before and after pics of my sweet baby's talons.

Fantastic experience: I always have a great experience when I have an appointment appointments for my pets at Northside Animal Hospital. Dr. May is always thorough in her examinations and the receptionist. Gabby was very polite and kind gave an opportunity to sit out in the lobby for a few minutes before going into the examination room. Page was very courteous and professional with her conversation and dealing with the pets and finding out if there’s any situations or problems with them, your attitude and hospitality are awesome, and I will be recommending our other family members to to visit with their pets at the Northside Animal Hospital as well.

Fantastic experience: Northside Animal Hospital absolutely exceeded my expectations during a very stressful emergency visit with my 10-month-old Golden Retriever. From the moment we walked in, April and Britney at the front desk were calm, compassionate, and incredibly helpful. They made sure we were taken care of quickly and explained everything clearly, which made a huge difference in the moment. Dr. Stewart was outstanding — professional, patient, and very thorough. He took the time to explain what was going on, answered all of my questions, and treated my puppy with genuine care and attention. You can tell he truly loves what he does. A big thank you as well to the tech assistant, who was amazing with my dog — gentle, attentive, and reassuring throughout the entire process. Emergency visits are never easy, but this team made a difficult situation manageable and comforting. I’m extremely grateful for the level of care, communication, and professionalism shown by everyone at Northside Animal Hospital. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Amazing staff. As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted and welcomed. I was checked in and taken to our room right away. The nurse came in within 5 mins and explained to me everything that they were wanting to do for my dog then told me the pricing and then asked if I wanted to continue with the plan. I was also offered some cheaper plans but I chose to go with the original plan because the price was reasonable. The entire staff was very polite and helpful and explained everything to me before they did anything. This was my 2nd time coming to Northside. The 1st time was when I had to have my older, sick dog put down. The staff was super respectful and comforted me and my family as we had to say goodbye to one of our family members. I truly appreciate the entire staff at Northside and will definitely be coming back because I believe they put my dog and my best interest first.

There were both amazing and so patient with all my questions and provided helpful solutions. We love Northside Animal Hospital! Fantastic experience: Today was my first apt with Gordo my fur baby and everyone at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. we got to the back and met Chad a Tech/Assistant and he was amazing and Gordo liked him. We met Doc Stewart and she was a delight very caring and easy to talk with and really cares about her fur baby patients and I look forward to seeing them all again. there prices are affordable and they go over the price with you before they do anything to make sure the price is approved before hand. Fantastic experience: Came in with a pup with a serious limp. Dr. Shea was extremely compassionate and kind to me even though I was in shambles. They referred me to a specialist for further evaluation, however said I was welcome to come back if we could not afford that option.

Fantastic experience: We had an emergency after hours during a holiday. We are so grateful Northside Animal Hospital was open and could help our sick dog. Dr. Shea, Jennifer, the tech assistant and Ashlee, the receptionist were all excellent. They explained everything that was happening in a way we understood and shared the treatment plan. Worth every penny.

Fantastic experience: Currently at the emergency clinic to get my cat checked out and they are doing everything they can to handle him with him being a very hostile cat. We saw Dr Shea, assistant Jennifer, and receptionist Ashlee. They were all very kind and are doing everything they can to try to help my baby. Provided he will let them.

Positive experience: My 8 month old kitten (Milo) was boarded for the weekend while I had to go out of town. He had to have a wellness check prior and had to give a fecal specimen. Intake was smooth except for it not being clear that the specimen was required prior to boarding for testing to be completed. Had I known this, I would have supplied this when we came to the wellness appointment the day before. It was suggested that Milo get a bath after being boarding with a 50% off discount. I also asked for his nails to be trimmed. I did have to pay for an additional day because of the bath option, because as stated in the paperwork he would not be ready until after 2:00 pm. Therefore, it would be past the 9:00 am deadline to not be charged. He ended up being ready at 11:30 am. So I feel there should be a discount on the boarding fee on the day of pick up as well. I paid for the full day for an extra 2.5 hours. All in all, for this to be my fur baby's first experience with Northside Animal Hospital, I was pleased and would recommend. They gave me peace of mind while I was away from my fur baby for the first time.

Fantastic experience: Very happy with all visits to this animal hospital. The vet was compassionate and understanding. Since the initial visit, we have used the boarding service and had our cat's nails trimmed . All of the staff that we have met so far have been very friendly and helpful.

Fantastic experience: We took our three year old kitty to Dr. Stewart of Northside Animal Hospital, she and her assistant Alicia were wonderful. They were so gentle that we didn't even need to use a purrito. We found the entire staff to be friendly and efficient. The receptionist Linda was kind and thorough, helping us with the pre-registration when we had trouble with the computer appointment program.

Fantastic experience: I had to bring my cat in for an emergency this past week and immediately the receptionist Jennifer helped me, and got me on my way to tech assist Marianna & doctor kelsey for emergency treatment within an hour. Everyone was exceptionally professional and sensitive to my cats discomfort. Truly a safe place to bring your pets!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Bell was very professional, knowledgeable and courteous with Rocky. I was at ease the whole time with the help of friendly staff and techs, as well. Our German Shepherd received the care he deserves. I definitely recommend giving Northside a try.

Fantastic experience: We've been taking our dogs here for years and they always give amazing quality service. This last time we saw Doctor Kelsey when our dog Edward had some pain issues and she was such a pro at getting him diagnosed. Alicia and April were both incredibly helpful at getting us situated and getting him checked and taken care of.

Fantastic experience: Took new puppy after hours to Northside Animal Hospital. She was very sick and in need of a vet. Dr. Kelsey, tech Taylor and Linda were excellent. They looked after my puppy, diagnosed the issue and provided outstanding service.

Fantastic experience: I had an old pittie who's final day was nearing and she got down and I had to pick her up and carry her to the car.I was extremely emotional as she had been my companion for 14 years,and my daddy was the one who had the job of putting our dogs down but he was no longer with us.This was the first time I had ever had to put a dog down!. I rushed her to Northside.The staff came to the car , asked a few questions,loaded her on a gurney and went in to start treatment if possible..Unfortunately,it was her time.The staff there were soooo compassionate kind,caring and understanding.They made a very difficult and emotional situation much easier for me.I couldn't have made the decision to do what was best for my canine companion had it not been for their love and support! I've been using them ever since! Thank ya'll! Northside is the BEST!

Fantastic experience: I honestly don't have nice enough comments to make for everyone involved in my pet's visit earlier. My cat, Kermit, has been to at least five vets in his last five years, and Northside is my favorite. The tech, Minerva, was super attentive and really kind, and she listened to my prattle on with unending questions. The vet, Dr. Steward, is insanely knowledgeable and friendly. You can tell she knows her stuff and is current on animal health. No one tried to upsell me or get me out quickly. They know what my cat needs for his age and whatever his ailments were. The receptionist, Jennifer, very kind as well and answered any questions. These were all people I look forward to seeing again for my cat's primary vet. I did go through searching for a lot of new vets in the area since I'm new. It's a little nerve-racking to find a new place, but I'm so happy to have landed on this one. They also have affordable credit card options for sevices and take my cat's insurance, which is a huge plus. Kermit appreciated the compliments about what a good boy he was. He had a few things done, and hardly flinched with his shots. I feel good about his care and his vaccines he was given. The Churus and cat treats help, too! Again, I can't say enough things. Northside understands how much we love our pets, and knowing Kermit is in good hands means the world to me. I give this vet clinic all the stars!

Fantastic experience: Me and my fur-baby just had our first visit at Northside Animal Hospital. We had an absolutely incredible experience with the entire staff. The technician Paige and receptionist Linda were very warm and welcoming. They were very patient and caring with my poodle, as she sometimes gets nervous going to the vet. Dr Shea Smith is the queen of poodles! We bonded over stories of her telling me about her 2 poodles that she owns herself. We traveled all the way from Montgomery Alabama and we will definitely be making the transition to see them as our regular veterinarian. I will 100% recommend this clinic to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Believe it or not, but it is hard to find a vet for a guinea pig in Columbus, especially for an emergency, but luckily we found Northside Animal Hospital. Fantastic experience: We had a rabbit that needed to be spayed so we took her to Northside Animal Hospital because they have vets that handle rabbits. Booked an appointment over the phone and was given a date very quick. Our first visit went great and we were given plenty of information and even told of risk to any surgery. Very happy to be warned up front and not surprised. The surgery was scheduled for just two days out. The process was extremely easy and quick and I was kept notified throughout. Our rabbit, Cricket, had pulled her stitches out a bit that after noon after being home for a bit and we called and was told to immediately bring Cricket back in. My daughter was scared and in tears but our vet, Shea, immediately reassured my daughter that it happens and she took Cricket back and fixed her up. Cricket got a body suit to make sure she didn’t pick at the spot again. Shea could not have been more pleasant and caring! She was amazing during all of this and the staff was very kind throughout. I very highly recommend Northside Animal Hospital and we will continue to see them whenever we need help for Cricket! Thank you!

Fantastic experience: My dog a emergency with two fishing hooks incident. I took my baby with me fishing. She step on a crankbait and hooks hot deep in her paw. I had to get her to the animal hospital. Northside Animal Hospital took excellent care of my Roxy. They got in as soon as we step in and took the hooks right out. Give her medicine for the pain and she came out happy. I would definitely recommend this animal hospital to anyone. Everyone was very kind and helpful and even a few fishing stores that calm me down. A very nice place for loving four legged friends .

Fantastic experience: We took our male dachshund here a few months ago. I was extremely pleased with the care he received. The staff was so friendly that we took one of our female dachshunds to them last night. Th They took care of both our babies and explained everything that was making them ill. Do not hesitate to use them! They are truly wonderful!

Fantastic experience: My dog was bitten by a venomous snake around 9pm. I called ahead and they were waiting for us. The staff was wonderful, cheerfully staying until around midnight to administer antivenin and fluids. The doctor was very caring and informative. I came in fully panicked and terrified and left feeling much better about the situation. She's recovering nicely and I couldn't be more grateful.

Fantastic experience: My kitten always receives the best care at Northside. When she was first adopted, she got really sick. We brought her to Northside and they her back to health and eased our worries with daily check-ins and answering all of our questions. They treat our girl like she’s family!

Fantastic experience: After Northside treated us like family when we had to put our senior dog down, it was a no-brainer to use them for our new puppy. They always go above and beyond each visit, and we leave with every question answered. We are forever grateful for Northside and it’s a relief knowing our new baby is in good hands! Fantastic experience: I’ve been bringing my dog, Beau, to Northside Animal Hospital for a couple years, and they are wonderful! Dr. Short is so sweet. She is knowledgeable and always attentive, which is much appreciated as having a senior dog can be challenging. The techs and assistants are friendly and welcoming as well. The receptionist, Vicky, was so accommodating last week whenever I needed to make a last minute appointment. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Taking my cats here is always a pleasure. Dr. Bell is always so friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. I took my cats Reo and Milo today, Jennifer, the tech was phenomenal, as well as the receptionist(I totally forgot to ask for her name, but they definitely have a great team). Fantastic experience: I’ve been a client of Northside Animal Hospital for years, and every visit reminds me why I keep coming back. From the friendly receptionist, April, to the caring vet tech, Paige, and the always-thorough Dr. Bell — the entire team is incredible. I recently brought in all three of my dogs at once, and they handled it with patience, efficiency, and kindness. Fantastic experience: My pup Nacho has been seen many times by each Dr . Due to his accident he had in August . Dr.Stewart is his primary but due to our many visit we’ve seen all of them and I’ve been so pleased with the service and the place is always clean . The front desk is also so accommodating. Fantastic experience: The worst things happen to your fur-babies after hours. No matter your own experience in vet med, it's still a scary and powerless feeling... especially knowing what's going on but theres nothing you can do at home. IYKYK! My husband and I are so incredibly thankful for Dr Stacia and her team last night!! ❤️ You guys are amazing! Our baby, Freyja, was found in a box, abandoned on Ft Benning with her brother 7 years ago. We have had so many struggles with her; mental/behavioral changes and overall physical health. In Aug of 2025 she suddenly went blind and was diagnosed with a brain tumor. We knew our time was limited but we thought "Not us, she'll power through this!"... 2 months later and after 1 amazing day where she played, had zoomies and moving a little better she started seizing, inability to walk, and her overall awareness was just gone. There was no waiting anymore. 9pm on a Friday night and Dr Stacia said to head her way. Thank you all so much for accepting us after hours, making the whole process easy but most importantly, to ease our girls suffering.

Fantastic experience: I initially went here because my pup had an emergency and my regular vet wouldn't take her. The treatment we received was awesome. You feel like your pet is care for here. After our emergency services, we received follow-up texts. My husband and I discussed how different, in a good way, it felt to go here. I decided to switch veterinary care. I have no doubt my pups will live happy healthy lives under their care.

Fantastic experience: After moving to the area we needed to find a vet. We had an appointment within 2 days. Dr Stacia was amazing at listening to our concerns and coming up with a plan of care for our pup. We were very pleased with the office and staff we encountered (assistant Imania and receptionist Keila. We are happy to have found our new vet at Northside animal hospital.

Fantastic experience: We had a situation where our cat Nagi ingested something toxic. Linda was able to fit us into their schedule very quickly. We were seen by tech Jenifer and Dr. Kelley and given a treatment plan that proved to improve our beloved Nagi's health back to normal within a few days. Thank you NCAH!

Fantastic experience: We have been at Northside for 3 1/2 yrs with our baby and have always had exceptional service. Not to leave anyone out but Ms Vickie is AWESOME!!! Not just today but anytime we have dealt with her she has been very friendly and patient with me because today I asked a bunch of different questions and she went above helping me. They were very busy and she still took the time to answer all questions while I told her I could wait if she needed me to, but she was very efficient at getting all the families and their babies taken care of. Thank you once again for all your explanations and suggestions. ❤️

Fantastic experience: I was concerned about Machito this weekend, so on Saturday I called Northside and they made an appointment for him on Monday. I hear from friends on long they have to wait for appointments, not here. We were called into a treatment room in less than 3 minutes after logging in. Tori did what we call triage in the hospital. She asked about our concerns, took Machito to the back area for checkup, brought him back and told us that the doctor would be in so see us. Dr. May explained in detail the situation. She mentioned our options. We made our choices. We checked out with April, she offered some suggestions, we listened and chose. My experience with this appointment is the reason why for 15 years they were Chula's ( my female yorkie) veterinarians and now 5 years with Machito.

Fantastic experience: My son’s dog was hit by a car yesterday. In a panic, we headed to Northside Animal Hospital. Right away Linda greeted us and we immediately knew we’d come to the right place. We were taken to a room right away, where Mandy calmly and gently took a look at Sadie and gathered her history - which is vague, as she was a stray that just showed up and didn’t want to leave (even after being strongly encouraged - my son already has 3 cats). Even though they were really busy with two other dogs more critical than ours, Mandy checked on us every few minutes, gathering vitals. After Sadie got results from bloodwork and x-rays and was checked by Dr. Shea, we were relieved to find that there was no internal bleeding and her paw and leg were badly swollen and pretty skinned up, but nothing was broken. Sadie was loved on and we left with pain meds and detailed instructions. We cannot thank Northside and the amazing staff enough for their expertise and caring treatment.

Fantastic experience: My Autumn unfortunately got a really bad injured leg. This was the first time i had ever come here and the experience was great! They helped my baby, and the staff is absolutely sweet and amazing!!
