Fantastic experience: Dr. Renee and her staff are an incredibly caring and amazing team. My puppy’s spay surgery went very well, and I am extremely satisfied with the overall results. They treated her with so much care and professionalism. I truly couldn’t recommend them more. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of my puppy.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been here several times with multiple cats for TNR and for my own. I am truly impressed with the service they provide and the way they treat the animals. For TNR the notches in the ear are nicely done and the incision is sealed perfectly. I make the 30 min drive because I know I will be pleased with the outcome.

Positive experience: For 2 dogs, I was charged $600. For: 3 immunizations each, allergy medication and antibiotic eye ointment for 1 dog, , and 12 weeks worth of flea and tick prevention for both dogs. I was told that my dogs have fleas, which they do not, and told to visit again in 2 weeks. This seems exorbitant to me.

Fantastic experience: They were very kind and handled my two kitties very well. They have healed up wonderfully, but those cones!! Both cats got out of them like Houdini! We kept close eyes on them and ensured no improper activities. I think we are going to rename them Wolverine and Deadpool because they healed so fast!

Fantastic experience: Awesome pet clinic. My sister in law recommended it last year when i was looking for a cost efficient place to get my Wynter spayed. She recover well from the spay then and we came back this year for a wellness exam and booster shots! Great service all around so glad we found this place.

Positive experience: I would recommend this clinic to others. Making the appointment was easy and there was plenty of availability. The price was reasonable, the clinic was clean, and the check-in process was straightforward with wait times clearly communicated. We were notified when our pet was in recovery after his procedure and given a clear pick-up time frame, which helped avoid any confusion. We went in feeling very nervous and unsure of what to expect, but when we dropped off our dog for his neutering procedure, the vet tech communicated everything clearly and handled him with so much care. We left feeling confident that he was in good hands. I truly wish I had gotten her name so I could give her proper recognition. The only downside was the experience with the receptionists over the phone prior to the procedure. I called a couple of times with questions and each time I felt rushed and like I was being a bother. I completely understand that the clinic is busy, but it added unnecessary anxiety before the surgery that could have been avoided.

Fantastic experience: Our kitty was spayed, and she was very well cared for. It was a bit of a wait to get checked in, but so worth it for this very inexpensive and necessary service. Communication was great and all the staff were extremely helpful and courteous.

Fantastic experience: Thank you so much for reaching out. I’ll Joy is doing great. I did not have to give her any pain meds, she seemed very comfortable. She slept pretty much all day Thursday and Friday. Her incision is very very clear, which makes me so excited. She hasn’t even attempted to lick her incision, which must mean it does not bother her. I was very nervous in the beginning about getting her spayed, but now I am so happy it is done and I thank you for taking such great care of her.

Fantastic experience: The process is laid out up front and is very smooth. All my answers were answered by the friendly staff. As a follow up I decided to transfer my other dogs here for vet services. They gave my dogs time to be calm before approaching them. The doctor came in and talked with me and explained any concerns and praises regarding my dogs and didn’t make me feel rushed with my questions

Fantastic experience: So I called several places about getting our cat Spayed, and I was just asking for that because money is tight right now with Christmas and all. But I think it was a hell of a deal with being Spayed, vaccinated Micro chipped and free claw filing. And extra pain medication so cheap, I can highly say, that place was awesome and will continue to go back. On top of that super friendly, talked to you like they care and whats good for the pet and still very extremely fair priced. Like you wont find that in alot of places. To me, 10 out of 10!!!

Fantastic experience: I’ve gotten 2 dogs spayed and neutered here since 2022. I fully trust them with my fur children which is quite hard for me. They do a great job both my dogs recovered very easily. The prices seem to have almost doubled for services but they are going to be more expensive anywhere else so it’s still worth it.

Negative experience: No sense in showing up at 7am when others wait only 5-10 mins to be seen. I texted as soon as I parked as explained in the instructions and waited an entire hour and a half while 5 others who got there after me were called to go in. What is the receptionist’s excuse? “Oh, we read your text and left it open. We’ll check you in now after we get them in.” And STILL proceeded to check others in that came after me.. Absolutely ridiculous. UPDATE: Although I had to wait longer than others, the Veterinarian was very kind and apologetic. They took very good care of my pup.

Negative experience: I’ve been bringing my dog to this clinic for about 4 years and have always appreciated their service. However, during my last visit, I was a bit disappointed. I arrived about 8 minutes late and was told there would be a $10 late fee in order to be seen. It was the first time I’d ever been charged for something like that, and the clinic didn’t seem busy at all — there were only two other pets waiting. Also, I’ve noticed that prices have increased quite a bit over time. when I mentioned that my dog had some itching in her ear, I was immediately offered several tests, cleanings, and even a biopsy. The estimate for a dental cleaning with extractions was around $1,000, while other local clinics offer the same service for about $250. I still appreciate the staff’s kindness and the care they’ve provided over the years, but I do feel the clinic has become a bit too expensive and strict with policies. I hope they can find a better balance between quality care and fair pricing for loyal clients

Negative experience: I gave this place a second chance after a bad interaction with staff some time ago, and I regret it. Employees are completely rude and will do everything to not interact with you. At check in, rude, at check out, rude. One of the ladies was wearing headphones while I was trying to check out. And when I had a question, they just ignore you or point you away. Like, I’m paying for a service not begging for scraps. Everyone here is just plain rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional, save a trip and go somewhere else.

Positive experience: Great clinic, I was referred to KAAWS by my veterinary clinic...terrible at answering the phone. My cat got spayed, she did great and the techs and receptionist seemed nice. The process was harder than needed because they weren't the best at communicating or answering the phone for pre operative questions or questions while my pet was at the facility in their care. They did provide detailed operational and discharge information, and her incision looked beautiful. Overall, I believe I got great service at a great cost!

Fantastic experience: The online appointment scheduling was easy and quick. On the day of my dog procedure the staff were so friendly and kind and explained everything to me. I felt very comfortable leaving my dog there, knowing that he was gonna be well taken care of. The facility was very clean, every step of the process was very organized and very informative. Negative experience: Avoid this place if you expect honest and upfront pricing. I contacted KAAWS about their feral cat program and was told, both by phone and in person, that the cost would be $100 total. This included spay/neuter, rabies vaccine, and pain medication (lasting three days). No appointment was required—just a text before drop-off. I caught two neighborhood feral cats for fixing on separate occasions. At check-in on both visits, staff reviewed fees with me: • $28 rabies fee • Separate listed fees for spay vs. neuter • $50 late pickup fee They then reconfirmed that for feral cats, there was a special $100 package covering spay/neuter, rabies, and pain medication. • Day 1: A female feral cat was spayed under the $100 program, exactly as explained. • Day 2: I brought in another feral cat, originally checked in as male. Shortly after, I got a call saying it was female and that if found pregnant during surgery, the fee would increase by $280–$320. No cat was ever confirmed pregnant. The problem is that this substantial surcharge was never disclosed during my initial calls, at either check-in, or when fees were reviewed. It was only introduced after the second cat was already in their care. This inconsistency and lack of transparency left me feeling misled. I strongly recommend avoiding KAAWS—other Houston programs for feral cats are far more transparent and trustworthy.

Fantastic experience: Newest review - 9/13/2025 Again I am impressed with the care and service rendered. Communication is on point and thorough in every way. The spaying of my little feline went wonderfully and she is recovering, all thanks to the beautiful staff at KAAWS. Just like a visit to the vet should be! Pleasant for my furry fella which is of the utmost importance and for myself. Even the other fur baby parents were pleasant to talk to.

Fantastic experience: This spay process has been so stressful for us as first-time dog owners. We had a difficult time finding the right clinic for Maple, but KAAWS was absolutely phenomenal—well worth the 1 hour 30 minute round trip. The staff members were very responsive and got us in fairly quickly. They even texted us right when Maple was ready to be picked up within an hour or so. It was also very inexpensive for what we were provided with. Maple is healing just fine! Dr. Bazan was the absolute sweetest. When I went to pick Maple up, she checked in and let me know how she did. Since I couldn’t carry Maple out due to my pregnancy, Dr. Bazan kindly helped me carry her all the way through. I’m so grateful the team was so accommodating, even though my dog was anxious and difficult. I had some concerns after the surgery, and they responded very quickly—even prescribing medication when needed. I’m truly so thankful we decided on KAAWS.

Fantastic experience: Outstanding. I brought in 2 young cats for surgery. One had a heart murmur and KAAWS refused the surgery as they could not guarantee her safety. Exactly as is appropriate. I appreciate this attention to detail and true concern for the welfare of animals. They also directed me to organizations that could do the surgery. Professional, caring, well managed, and all around excellent.

Fantastic experience: This place is very clean, very friendly, and very affordable. I took my poodle, Snickerdoodle to get her shots and get spayed. When I tell you this dog was able to walk and jump up on the sofa to sit with my wife and I last night, just maybe six or seven hours after surgery, This dog was active. They took such good care of her, and gave us the instructions for her post-op care. The lady at the counter was very courteous and professional, and the lady who took Snickerdoodle and I back to be in processed was very thorough. We will be back for more services from KAAWS.

Positive experience: Took my two dogs here for rabies shots, heartworm tests and meds and flea and tick meds. Really efficient and was in and out in about 30 minutes which was nice. The vet was clear and I didn't feel like they were trying to push for extra anything, which I appreciated. Would recommend.

Fantastic experience: Great place!!! My rescue dog/found dog hadn’t been spayed. Unfortunately a rooster got in the hen house as they say. They took care of the problem without questioning me or making me feel the least bit awkward. As well as spayed my girl, gave her rabies vaccination and checked for heart worms as well as hooked me up with 6 months of prevention. They were quick enough check in… I did arrive a few minutes after the recommended 7am drop off time, so it did take about 30 minutes… no biggie! Liberty aka Squirrel was doing great this morning. Be sure you’re aware that they do have more then one location… silly me made my appointment and went to the one twice as far away…!!! Clean environment and kind caring staff work there. The send you home with plastic cone that totally works, but I ordered the suit and blow up neck donut on Amazon.
