Experiencia negativa: They need someone new working the phone. The old miserable lady answering is extremely rude and refused to give me an amount for my dogs meds… In order to buy something, you need to know the cost. I figured she didn’t want to make them any money at Heritage, so now my 2 dogs and cat will be going elsewhere. I know this is Flint, but golley- Cheer up and help people and animals- I mean isn’t that her job being a receptionist? Told her I’d take my money elsewhere and she couldn’t have been any less bothered. Not someone I’d want running my business and I’ve been in HR and a business owner for multiple years.

Experiencia fantástica: My cat was showing signs of a serious issue so I gave them a call. They guided me as to what may be going on and said to bring my cat up. They got my cat in quickly even though they were very busy. Staff was very nice and quick. Reasonably priced for an emergency center. Luckily no major issues were found. Thanks!

Experiencia fantástica: My family started taking our pets here after Alpine vet on center road killed one of puppies during a neuter. I got my first cat recently and first place I took him was here, and now my roommate also takes his cat here. They take good care of your furbabies. I got my kitty neutered on the 25th and they treated him so well. He’s already bounced back, though he’s still healing, nothing went wrong and I was SO nervous because of that experience at the other vet. I do suggest if you have to get your pet vetted, heritage will do an amazing job. Their website to check up on your pets appointments, and stuff is super convenient too!

Experiencia fantástica: I cannot say enough positive things about Heritage Vet. I spent 8 weeks working on getting the feral cat I captured into the carrier so I could bring him in to get neutered, treated for fleas/worms, shots, etc. The staff (especially Valerie), were so kind and accommodating, allowing me to bring him in without an appointment scheduled once I had him secured. They took such good care of my sweet Theo, and I’m so appreciative. Theo is acclimating well to being pampered and loved. His days of hunger, cold, predators, fleas/worms, and the unknown are gone. Thank you, Heritage for helping me save this precious boy! You are all amazing and I will forever be grateful!

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been with this vet for close to 10 years now and I LOVE them! Most recently my dog broke her tooth and they got me in next day, brought her in and the staff that takes the animals back are super nice and they listen. Doc came in and greeted my dog, LOVE that. He told me she would need surgery and stepped out to see when he could get me in & said he moved some things around and could get her in next day. The surgery also didn’t cost an arm and a leg!!! They explained everything to me, sent her home with meds and took care of her the whole way. While she was there for surgery they cleaned her teeth and clipped her nails without charge. I will recommend this vet to EVERYONE. Picture below of my sweet baby after being sent home from surgery ❤️

Experiencia fantástica: The best place to take your animals. They are so caring. They treat your pet like they were their own. My cat Sammy almost died from a blockage in his colon. They saved his life. It didn't cost me an arm and a leg either. They explain everything to you easily and are upfront up about prices for medications and procedures. They try their very best to get a low price as well. They let you know everything in advance. I would never take my pets anywhere else. Doctor Jamie is such a great vet! I was at work when she called about my cat and sometimes when vets explain things you don't completely ingest all that they are telling you. I asked her to email me. She did! She gave me a detailed summary of everything we discussed. This vet hospital really cares! About you and your pets! 10/10 One more thing that I love about this place... I was mauled by two pitbulls and have PTSD. It's very hard for me to go into a vet office because of it and I want to be in the office but for a long time I would stay in my car at other places and worry about my animal and feel bad because I wasn't in there with them. This office is separated.One side dogs and one side cats and is separated by the reception desk! I've never seen a vet office designed like this and I think it is truly a genius move! Experiencia fantástica: Best veterinary office I have ever been to. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, caring and helpful. I have 3 cats, one with dental issues who is needing constant care. Their prices are affordable and I can trust my animals in their care. I would also like to say how difficult it can be to wrangle a cat, especially when they're getting a painful shot, or getting a boo boo looked at. The staff here was so kind and gentile with my kitty and I was able to watch the whole time. The man didnt wear gloves or anything and he left without a scratch on him! You can't ask for much more. Here's a picture of Stan relaxing out in the living room just 3 hours after getting 2 shots. No hiding, no harm, no foul! I'll never take my animals anywhere else!

Experiencia negativa: The second receptionist I spoke with was rude and hung up on me when I need to put my dog down. She was uncaring with my sad situation and not understanding of me not wanting my poor golden retriever to suffer through the night. And my dog actually lived an extra year after they diagnosed him with having 2 months left. So I got a misdiagnoses and didn't want to take him back because their prices are outrageous. The service is not the same since covid and previous owners. It's more about the money than care of your animals. It's sad!!!

Experiencia negativa: 0 stars. Do not recommend. Took my senior cat in for pyometra, was denied care because I could not lay down $800 up front. Was treated poorly and had to leave before I could figure out a solution to my problem. I became an inconvenience. They knew my cat would die without care and denied my cat the emergency life saving care she needed and basically sent me on my way. Even told me she would probably die over the weekend. Also I had been a loyal returning and paying client of theirs for 5 years. Their treatment of me and my cat was uncalled for and inhumane. Went to all about animals and was charged a fraction of the cost they wanted. Will not be going back there and I suggest anyone considering them go somewhere else.

Experiencia negativa: Completely awful experience. Honestly probably one of the worst vets I have ever dealt with. Instead of thinking of the customer or animal they're all about their prices and making sure they charge top dollar, in the sacrifice of an animal. Will not be returning. I ended up going to All About Animals and they saved my cat. For less then a third of the price Heritage was gonna charge. Will not be bringing my family pets back here.

Experiencia fantástica: Cash is such a great vet assistant!!! She’s patient, takes time to talk to me about my dog and always gets the correct answers for me if she’s unsure. And my most favorite attribute about Cash is how much she loves the animals, especially my dog Taco. When Taco had to stay an extended period of time I felt relieved knowing Cash was loving on my dog. Every time we come Heritage Vet, Taco is excited to see the staff, especially Cash!!

Experiencia negativa: Called trying to get an appointment scheduled, and waited about 5 minutes with a very repetitive hold phrase (every 10ish seconds they said we will be with you shortly). After the 5 minutes someone picked up and I couldn’t make out what they said but something like “we’re not answering the phone” I believe. Then got hung up on… with no chance to even respond. no thanks, I’ll try anywhere else.

Experiencia fantástica: Brought my ten year old shit zu pup in for a haircut. She was matted badly from a previous owner . They were so awesome ! She had to be sedated due to her fear aggression . She came out looking so adorable and funny we were laughing / entire staff. Dr says “ we can’t make her look like Paris Hilton but she will look as good as possible LOL !” She looked ADORABLE and those mats on her feet GONE !! They cleaned her teeth too ! Can’t wait to bring her back again for her haircut soon !! Wonderful staff !!

Experiencia negativa: Took my dog here to get fixed when my sister in-law picked him up.... He was covered in pee and smelled and they said he was okay to go home and he could hardly move.... When I called to get some answers all they did was say well stuff happens I would highly recommend any other vet.... To get his staples removed I took him 3 hours away to my home town vet.... I would never recommend this place for anything almost 400 dollars for them to do surgery and leave your pet in who knows what pee and shit

Experiencia negativa: We took our dog to Heritage because she was losing weight and not eating. Our previous vet was twice the cost for X-rays and ultrasounds, so we decided to give Heritage a try. The first doctor ran multiple tests over the course of weeks, which cost thousands and we still had no answers. Eventually, a second doctor (I believe his brother) got involved. He reviewed her paperwork, checked her lymph nodes, and ran more blood work. It was more money, but at least we finally had a diagnosis. A few weeks later, we knew it was time to say goodbye. We scheduled the appointment, expecting a peaceful and compassionate experience. Instead, we were met with a process that felt rushed and impersonal. Upon arrival, we had to check in at the front desk, visibly emotional in a waiting room full of other clients. After signing paperwork, we were sent back to the waiting area until they called us in. When the time came, we were led through the main lobby to a room, given a few moments with our girl, and then a staff member we had never met entered to explain the procedure. A man we had never seen before held our dog instead of us. It all happened so quickly—within seconds, she was gone. The entire experience felt cold and detached, not at all what we expected for such a difficult moment. Our doctor was outside the room the whole time, and when we made eye contact afterward, he said nothing. Afterward, we were again led through the main lobby, past other clients, still processing what had just happened. I’m writing this review so others know what to expect. If you are looking for a compassionate, empathetic end-of-life experience for your pet, this was not it. I did receive a STAMPED sympathy card. ⸻

Experiencia negativa: Rude as hell how ever I was literally just talking to...I asked for advice after I told her what happened to my dog n she proceeded to say No one is goin to give u advice over the phone n I said thats not true I already had one tell me something n she said well their not supposed to but ok...like no need to be rude was trying to see how much it would cost to bring her in to be examined....like wth...the only reason I called here was bc they didn't have anything open n were already at max level with other animals n I was told by appointment I wouldn't be able to get in til late next week...I also don't have 1000 dollars so again why I was sayin I needed advice if what's wrong with my dog could be treated at home I would take proper care of the situation now if it wasn't able to be treated at home I get it...don't gotta be so rude.

Experiencia negativa: I’ve had to take a couple of my animals here and I’ve had bad experiences each time. The first was for my guinea pig. He had an ear infection. The vet saw him and decided he didn’t have anything wrong. Took him to a different vet and the ear infection was so bad it has quickly spread to his brain in that short time. They shouldn’t see exotics if they have no idea how to care for them. A simple baytril prescription could have saved his life. Again my husband took his dog there. They told him that she had a kidney disease and had to be put down. He took her to a vet in Davison for a second opinion and they gave her meds and she made a full recovery. All the vets at heritage are completely untrustworthy and if you trust them with your animals you take the risk of them literally killing your pet.

Experiencia negativa: Have taken my dogs here 2 of them for awhile. Lady in front is either incompetent or ignorant. Never had the displeasure of dealing with her until i had an actual problem (not just a routine visit.) And Either Couldn't or wouldn't answer a simple question Either way is unacceptable . I hope you find some compassion lori. Or find a job that dosnt require it.

Experiencia negativa: Refused to perform tests on my now deceased cat that could have been potentially life saving. Rude, lazy, money hungry people who don't actually care about your animal. Go elsewhere, especially if you have a cat. Read the other reviews from cat owners, something is psychologically wrong with the people who work here. I am surprised they have not been sued yet

Experiencia negativa: My kids pet had puppy’s an is not produces milk. last seen Was April 2024 it’s now November 2024 it’s a new littler of puppy’s same problem as last time. The person on the phone said they can’t help with meds to help produce milk or see her.because she’s not seen enuff to just give meds a they don’t have time to see her. Heritage used to care about your pets or family members. It’s the only vet I ever used. I’m really at a lost for words. I guess going to the vet two times a year is not enuff to make your pet significant or valuable enough to this place. Then I ask what can I do it’s like tossing them to the curb as they was no help she said yes do that an hung up extremely rude. No feelings for the starving puppy’s at all.

Experiencia negativa: I went there for my cat to get a mass removed from his mouth, he came back out with the mass gone and his fangs gone to. I was never told that they did it and had to find out this later at home when I looked in his mouth. With every question I asked there about his after surgery care, I would be given 3 completely different answers. Nothing was ever made clear to me. I’m genuinely devastated with what happened to my cat and I’m not going to be taking anymore of my pets here, I don’t trust them at this point with my pets because this isn’t a one off thing with this vet.

Experiencia positiva: Can’t be more than 10 minutes late for an appointment or they’ll force you to reschedule. Yet when you schedule an appointment you sit around waiting for 20 minutes. Lady on the phone was borderline rude; I couldn’t even finish saying thank you and have a good day before she finished what she had to say and hung up. Scheduling can be a hassle with the phone and online systems. Sometimes getting through on the phone is difficult. The online account was suggested to schedule but apparently it was never setup initially. Prices are good. Dr Nate is very transparent about the courses of treatment they can provide. Both the vet and assistant explained everything very well.

Experiencia negativa: A few weeks ago my cat started to have watery diarrhea. So I tried to make an app. right away for her with Heritage and I couldn’t get in. When you call you almost always got in the next day but for whatever reason now when you try to get in and it’s impossible. Why offer that if you can follow through with it?! In the past I have went to other vets so I decided to try them. Daley vet is never available anymore. App. are booked a month out b/c she is never in or booked up. So I called Bell vet. They got me in. I told the vet her symptoms and asked for her blood to be taken just to be safe. He refused. Said she seems healthy otherwise so I will check her stool. I’m paying so I don’t see why he wouldn’t. Nonetheless I was irritated. Got her results back and he said she had Giardia. So she was treated. Then I was suppose to get her stool checked to make sure it was gone 2 weeks later. During this process. She seemed okay. She was eating drinking etc just abit lethargic, but she had Giardia so I figured that’s why. Didn’t think anything life threatening at this point. When it came time to get her stool checked, I called Heritage b/c that is who we normally deal with. Besides, the other vet at Bell made me furious when he wouldn’t take her blood. So I called Heritage a bunch and each time they kept telling me that they had no next day app. Again….why offer this if you can’t follow through with it?? I was forced to make an app. Online with them since I couldn’t get in next day. I trusted this vet as I’ve been here many times before and only wanted the best for my baby. The online apps. you have to book a week out. By this time I was very angry. Baby girl was still eating/drinking etc. but I wanted her to be seen. By the time her app. came around as I was walking into the Heritage my baby had a seizure. They rushed her back, gave her fluids which they didn’t care to put in right b/c she had a big sac on the side of her body behind her front leg. They took blood. When Nathan(the vet) came to talk to me he tried to blame her condition on her getting into something toxic. My house is completely safe for my babies. There is no way that could have happened. Then he stated that she could have coronavirus and that we have to wait until the blood work comes back. So I asked him “I have to go home, hope she doesn’t have any more seizures and hope for the best”? He said yes. He mentioned some other vets and said if she gets worse or has more seizures to bring her back. For what? If you can’t do anything for her now what makes you think you can do something for her later? She had a bunch of stuff coming out of her nose. You can tell she had an infection but doesn’t even give her a broad spectrum antibiotic.‍♀️ Needless to say after I left there I went to Wilson’s 24hr vet hospital. They preformed more test and I got the results back right away. She had coronavirus which mutated into FIP(feline Infectious Peritonitis). By this time she had 5 more seizures and they were giving her meds to help with it through an IV. They said there was a new drug for FIP but the cat has to be more stable. They said her symptoms are so severe at this point that her body is shutting down they could try the med. but she would suffer and could possible die through the night. I guess cats can have coronavirus for awhile and you don’t know until they get sick. Some can fight it off while others get hit with it hard like herself. If the vet from Bell would have taken her blood like I asked we would have seen her levels off and got her the care she needed. If Heritage would have got me in next day then we could have came up with a plan and safe her! I firmly believe that she would be here today if the vets that I went to except for Wilson’s never failed her. Now I have to live my life knowing my sweet baby girl that was only 8 mths is gone. I even took her and her brother Poe to Heritage a few months ago for a physical and a shot they needed. Chad(vet) gave them a clear bill of health. My baby girl did not deserve this. R.I.P my sweet angel.

Experiencia negativa: Took our cat here and they wouldn't perform the tests we asked for. We had to put our baby down because of these people's lack of action. I'll never visit this office again. Anyone else would be wise to take your pets somewhere else.

Only being able to book next business day at a time makes it extremely difficult for me to get my pet in. I would highly recommend this vet, I wish they could book future dates.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr Jamie has been treating my dog for diabetes, and now seizures. She treats my dog as if she is her personal pet. My dog just loves her and gets so excited when Dr Jamie comes into the room. I highly recommend her to anyone.

Experiencia negativa: I was away at college when my dog got an aggressive cancer, and my parents decided that it was best to put him down while I was home over a holiday break. I wanted to go along to be there with him, and I’m very glad I did, but I am still haunted by the treatment he received here. He was scared and confused, but not at all aggressive (he was a very old cocker spaniel, so not exactly a ferocious beast) and instead of giving us time to calm him and letting the process be peaceful, several people jumped in suddenly to hold down his arms and head while they gave him a shot. It was absolutely traumatizing. All I was able to do was distract him with a treat I happened to have, and maybe that at least gave him some sort of relief from his confusion and terror. I still have nightmares about that experience, and I think I always will. What a horrible way to die, and how awful that I had to experience that when I was already reeling from his sudden health decline. I also wasn’t consulted at all about what I wanted done with his remains. I assume they were disposed of in a group cremation, but I never found out. I was too in shock when we left to ask. We were just ushered quickly out of the office (and charged for that abominable treatment) and I’ve been too afraid to ask since. The people who administered that shot to my dog have no business at all being around animals because they clearly have no idea how to treat them. That could have gone so differently so easily and now instead I will carry that awful memory with me forever.

Experiencia negativa: I had been going to this vet for 17 years, but I will never be back again. Things completely changed over the last year. Firstly, I took my kitten here to get spayed last December. The incision site was stapled shut, and then when my cat had a horrible infection a few days later, they just gave her an antibiotic injection and sent us home. The next day, she had to be rushed to the emergency vet because the entire surgery site split open. All of the skin inside was necrotic. No one at Heritage noticed this not even 24 hours prior. She had to have emergency surgery and almost died. I had to take her to the emergency vet daily for bandage changes for over a week because the infection was so severe and the damage to her skin was so bad that they had to leave the wound open. Overall, I had to pay $2,500+ out of pocket to pay for Heritage’s mistake, not to mention all of the pain my poor kitty had to go through. I decided then and there that I would never bring my cat back to Heritage. Fast-forward to yesterday, when the humane society refused to allow me to adopt an additional cat because my two cats’ vaccination records apparently aren’t up-to-date. Heritage had never once told me that I needed to bring the cats in for updated vaccines, or else I would have. When I called the office to ask, the receptionist accused me of lying and said they had been reminding me monthly by mail and via email — a bold-faced lie because the address they have on file for me has been the same for 17 years. The receptionist was incredibly rude, and when I said they needed to correct the situation, they hung up on me. I have since removed my cats from their care and will never be back. I will say, though, when I called back later to have my cats’ vet records mailed to me, the person who answered the phone was kind and apologized for the situation. They’re the only positive thing about this place. TL/DR: Heritage will not give your animals the proper care they need and will not show you any respect when you question them about it.

Experiencia fantástica: Love Heritage and highly recommend. Love that they went back to scheduling appointments so the wait isn't half as bad as when they were walk in only through and after covid. You can call and schedule your pets visit for the following day. Refills on medications are easy and they will have them ready for you. The vets and vet techs are compassionate and patient with questions you have and will explain thoroughly if you need better understanding. The front desk staff are always busy but have never been impatient or snippy when we have been there.

Experiencia negativa: Staff must have been having a bad day today or something cause they were so beyond rude and wouldn't explain anything about what my dog needed and other questions i needed answered. I'm not a vet I don't know what the difference between this vaccine or this one and pill or injection and what not. Been going here for years so today was very disappointing. Receptionists do better please cause you are making it hard for us to keep coming back.

Experiencia positiva: I let myself cool off for a while but here's what I have to say. I've been bringing my dogs here since the 90s. Jackson just had a successful surgery done by Dr Chad. Since then however it seems incredibly difficult to get in. They don't take walk-ins anymore and have a new online booking and it's a JOKE. The staff is great and I've enjoyed bringing my dogs but I just can't anymore. I hope you understand that you were doing better and took a wrong turn. Make a better pet portal or go back to what you were. It shouldn't be this frustrating trying to get your sick dog into a place he's been coming to for all 13 years of his life. I respect you to much to leave 1 so you get 3 stars but please get back to all 5

Experiencia fantástica: Love this place trust this place depend upon this place been coming here for years with many different dogs that we've had through our lifetimes and this particular time we have a rescue dog and Dr Nate took it over cuz I wanted to see one of the owners and I've been very pleased with that I have disabilities and I'm not able to come in so my son went in and he talked to me over the phone while I was in the car waiting and I'm very happy with it and I would recommend it to anybody as far as I'm concerned I've never had a problem they've never led me wrong that I know of my pets have always done well one more can you ask for treat me well too thank you

Experiencia negativa: I'm really questioning bringing my dog here for his ear. I just really feel like they didn't evaluate him enough. My dog previously had a ear hematoma and had surgery last year (different vet). He has begun to have issues again, I brought him into this facility hoping maybe they could find the issue of why the problem was occuring again. I presented that he may have a yeast infection from different responses from various people. Long story short, They simply looked at his ear, did a swab test and came back to say yes it is a yeast infection, they game me cream and a flush to take care of it. (If I didn't propose that would it still have came back the same issue??) 10 days later my dog is still having the same issues. I felt like I just wasted 120 dollars of my money for absolutely nothing. Also, I would add in the front desk ladies aren't as friendly as they appear to be. They don't even acknowledge you when you step into the door, you stand there with your pet while they sit behind the desk and Giggle with each other until they are ready to acknowledge you. Just be prepared.

Experiencia fantástica: This place is amazing. They are great at calling you and explaining everything you need to know about your pets health and safety. They take you seriously when you express concerns and they're always happy to help. You can get meds without an appointment every time. It's first come first serve so it's very nice if you just have a little time to squeeze in what you need. (I know they are going to appointments but I appreciated the service anyway) I would recommend this place and their kindness to everyone.

Experiencia negativa: My cat Clyde was a patient there, he was diagnosed with ear mites. Never got better has a problem with his eyeball they don’t take walk-ins anymore or you got a cough for an appointment with the website does not say! I had to find another veterinary that seen him today, no appointment he has a bacterial infection in his ear so he’s on antibiotics now, and he has ointment for his eye so he don’t go blind! I would not recommend this business due to the fact they didn’t care about my cat!! And we’re really snotty and could not get my medical records to the new veterinary. They said they were too busy so bye-bye here it is veterinary too bad about your luck.

Experiencia positiva: Our Great Dane had a skin condition that was getting worse by the day. The doctor took care to find the cause and prescribed medication that helped tremendously. The staff, with the exception of the woman who checked us out after the visit, were very kind and helpful. It would have been nice to be close out the visit with a pleasant experience but the woman who checked us out and took payment for the visit was unpleasant and appeared annoyed that she had to deal with us at all. Add to that the fact that I had a couple of questions about future visits and her unwillingness to even pretend to care about my questions and that was enough to leave a negative impression on the whole visit.

Experiencia negativa: I recently had the most baffling and downright frustrating experience at Dr. Boggs' veterinary clinic. I brought in my beloved lamp for what should have been a simple fix, but to my astonishment, Dr. Boggs and his team couldn't even figure out how to do that properly! First of all, let's address the most obvious issue here: Dr. Boggs is a veterinarian, not an electrician! I don't know why I thought it would be a good idea to bring my lamp to a place that specializes in treating animals. It's almost as if they have no idea what they're doing outside of their usual field of expertise. When I explained the problem with my lamp to Dr. Boggs, he looked at me as if I had two heads. It was clear that he had absolutely no knowledge or experience in fixing lamps. He fumbled around with some tools and wires, but it was painfully obvious that he was in way over his head. To make matters worse, his staff seemed equally clueless. They huddled around my poor lamp, whispering and scratching their heads, as if the fate of the universe depended on fixing this lamp. I couldn't help but wonder why they were wasting their time and mine on something so clearly outside their scope of practice. After what felt like an eternity, Dr. Boggs finally admitted defeat and told me that my lamp was beyond repair. I left the clinic feeling frustrated, disappointed, and utterly perplexed by the whole ordeal. In conclusion, if you have a sick pet, Dr. Boggs might be a fine choice for veterinary care. But if you have a broken lamp, I strongly advise you to seek help from a qualified electrician, not a veterinarian. This experience left me questioning the competence of Dr. Boggs and his team, and I wouldn't wish such a bewildering encounter on anyone else. One star is honestly too generous for this bewildering experience.

Experiencia positiva: I didn't have long to wait. And, everyone from sign in to the assistant helped me with my concerns & questions. It threw me off not seeing the Veterinarian tho. My first time here & hopefully the last ER visit we have. My cat had botfly larvae's that had caused a large hole, with smaller ones around it. I had pulled the giant larvae out and it was incredibly big. He gave antibiotics and medicine to make sure these were going to die. She responded very well to the medication and I can't be happier. The hospital is clean and the grounds outside are beautiful with tables to sit privately. I did not grade the veterinarian as I did not see him. Tho satisfied with the medication I would have preferred to see him. These were scary to say the least.
