Experiencia fantástica: Found my forever vet! Dr Ernst (sp?) was thorough and patient and provided teaching about some of my concerns. She is extremely capable! Vet tech Jacob was very gentle and caring to my bearded dragon Kai. This dragon was in such a good mood after his experience there, and he can be quite skittish with new experiences. Receptiosts were friendly and accomodating to get me in on short notice. The doctor performed all the tests I asked for, explained the results, shared her techniques she uses for stubborn dragons like mine lol. I felt the bill was very fair for all they did, and for the medicine, syringes, and critical care they sent me home with. So nice to have a competant exotic vet with such a great bedside manner.

Experiencia fantástica: I bring my 2 senior dogs to City Creatures...I have to commend the staff there from the receptionists, to the vet tech's/assistants to the vets...Everyone is so friendly and accommodating...Kyle always puts my mind at ease when I call her to tell her what is going on...she always gets me an appointment as soon as possible...she listens to me and reassures me everything is going to be okay...the vet techs greet my dogs with a smile and treat them with such care and concern...I love Dr. Sood and Dr. Albert...they have both taken care of my dogs since they were babies....they are now 16 years and 6 months old...I cannot say enough positive things about this office...I highly recommend City Creatures...

Experiencia negativa: First visit, changed vets. Heard good things from them. But when I took my small cat for a skin issue, charged a sick cat call. The vet never touched my cat. The young vet was very fearful, in turn making my cat, more fearful. She never touched the cat. My husband was with me as she is like our child. I did call and speak with Dr Earnest. She tried to say she laid hands on her, but that was a lie. When Nellie hissed the only thing she did was take a picture of her teeth when she hissed. Total BS

According to Nelly's medical record from the day of your visit, it was notated by staff that she was hissing, swatting, and not tolerating a thorough physical exam. A pets comfort and staff safety are both important considerations during visits, which is why we sent home the medication to help with Nelly's fear/anxiety/stress level when bringing her in for a recheck for a more thorough, hands on physical exam. This is a very normal protocol for our clinic, and rest assured Nelly is not alone in her fear and stress at the vet or in being recommended pre-visit medication. Dr. Ernst has been with City Creatures for almost 5 years, is an extremely knowledgeable and loving veterinarian, and Nelly could really benefit from being in her care. We'd love to offer a recheck at no charge with Nelly on this medication so that we can get a more thorough exam, if you're open to giving us another chance.

Experiencia negativa: I went to get my childhood cat euthanized yesterday. It was a hard decision he wasn’t actively passing away but he wasn’t happy and was suffering. I wanted to keep him home so he can pass with me because he loved me so much. he’s my baby. I ended up deciding to bring him in being promised it was a peaceful way to go. It was the worst thing ever. The doctors made a mistake and killed him before he even got the lethal injection. They put the sedative (that was supposed to be injected into muscle) deep into my cat that you can see visually he had little to no muscle in his back. he was very skinny. they told me it would take about 10 minutes to sedate him but since it went into his bloodstream instead, the medication had instant effects. A minute pass and I realize he is having a hard time breathing. I call them in and the dr out loud acknowledged that he wasn’t breathing and that’s not supposed to happen. they had no sense of urgency I’m guessing they just figured he was going to die anyways and I was left in the room with my now dying cat. I put my ear to his chest and I heard no heart beat and he now stopped breathing completely. He died. then the doctor comes in and injects him with the lethal injection. AFTER his heart had already stopped beating. Worst experience ever and it has severely traumatized me as this cat was my baby. I was so scared of taking him to get euthanized because I don’t trust people with him. IF YOU ARE GETTING AN ANIMAL EUTHANIZED MAKE SURE THEY KNOW HOW TO SEDATE YOUR PET AND NOT KILL THEM. I paid for a peaceful experience and got the worst experience ever. I would take your animal somewhere else.
Experiencia fantástica: We have been bringing our dogs to City Creatures for just about 25 years. During that time we were treated courteously and professionally by every single employee we worked with. For the past 3 years we have received excellent advice and care from Dr. Sood regarding the decline of our beloved 14 year old dog. She made his final years much easier for us to manage. When we made the difficult decision to put him down, City Creatures took care of us right away. The two techs and Dr Benton were beyond compassionate and sympathetic. They listened to our concerns and then carefully explained each step giving us all the time we needed. While the passing of a pet is not easy, our dog's final moments were peaceful and gave us great comfort. Though we are taking a break from dog ownership, if we do get another dog we will definitely bring it to City Creatures.

Experiencia fantástica: Best clinic. Best staff. The staff is so caring. The techs, assistants and receptionists, all deeply care about the work they do. Their job is extremely hard and yet they still do it with a smile and amazing attitudes.They see animals in the worst shape with most people declining service to help get answers for their pets. They do not get enough credit for the work they do. If you think anyone in this line of work is in it for the money then you are mistaken! They are in it for the compassion of animals. I am beyond thankful they are my vet clinic. They saved so many of my pets.

Experiencia negativa: Edited following owner's comment: My suspicion that Arthur has kidney disease was based on recognizing symptoms from previous experience, not based on another cat's health. Keep arguing with me about whether or not your office made an error in judgement all you want, i think you did and refused to admit it and respond with a basic apology. Unfortunately Arthur does not travel well and at my visit asked tests to be run based on my suspicion of kidney disease or diabetes, rather than subject him to further travel. I also said medications have made the issue of travel for him more difficult since being sedated caused vomiting and urination in his carrier. You never once offered to waive any fee, but repeated the cost of taking blood pressure at my initial visit and that "owners don't want all the tests" due to cost, DESPITE me saying I was willing to pay that. I disconnected the call with a manager when I was told "oh well too bad for you" and said I needed to cancel my appointment. Both receptionist were very rude talking over me and swore at me they didn't need my "bullshit" TO ALL POTENTIAL PATIENTS-- RUN!!! Well I'm sure management will find a way to argue with me about this review, since it appears they do that with reviews they don't like. Or reviews in which people state their opinions or feelings. Here goes. This vet office, and in particular the exam rooms, are dirty. The fixtures are worn and outdated. The floors are scuffed and soiled in the corners, as though they should have been replaced 20 years ago and they can't be bothered cleaning them thoroughly because they won't look clean. The musty smell could be dried urine, or just old floors. I had overlooked the lack of cleanliness previously because I thought we were receiving stellar care at a good price. I rescued 2 cats a few years back. One of them was obese and when she began to loose weight, I was saddened to discover it was not due to my efforts but kidney disease. The surviving rescue i have closely watched for the signs I missed with previous rescue. When I saw initial signs, I brought him to see a vet. I expressed my concerns and that I would like him to have all necessary tests. I thought they did them. When the results came back, I was told I needed to bring him back to have his blood pressure taken because he had what we all suspected, age related kidney disease. I thought they had just accidentally neglected to take his blood pressure. Nope. So now, I'm supposed to bring him back, subject a very nervous traveller to more tests and PAY ALL OVER AGAIN Spoke with not particularly polite reception who interrupted every word I said and accused me of "abuse" trying to speak over her and be heard and tell me she didn't need to listen to my "bullshit" then "accidentally disconnecting" me. Called back. Asked for a manager/supervisor please. When I declined to give her my name, she suddenly stated supervisor was not available. But wasn't she available 10 seconds ago? They played games. Knowing I am upset. Instead of attempting to diffuse the situation, reception did what they could to make it worse. So, I asked for the tests and when they didn't do them, I was told "that's not how it works" at a vet. They won't do all the tests people are asking for until they get blood test results, even if it is a basic test like blood pressure. So they would have charged me again. They did not agree to waive any fees, only provide medication to sedate him. I wouldn't have been so upset if they had just simply admitted to an error and agreed to charge me what they would have if the blood pressure was taken at my initial visit. Kindness and humility go a long way, neither of which this office demonstrated in this situation. As an aside, why does this office do all the tests in the back where we can't see them being done? What is there to hide? Other vets I've been to over the years take blood, complete basic tests in the exam rooms.
Leette, we are sorry that Arthur was diagnosed with kidney disease. As explained by management, the follow up blood pressure testing was not missed at the initial appointment as we had not yet done any diagnostics to diagnose anything, including the kidney disease. We do not diagnosis diseases on a suspicion because a previous cat had kidney disease, but on medical diagnostic testing, which was the full panel bloodwork and urinalysis we sent to the lab. Additionally as explained by the doctor and management, blood pressure monitoring is only conducted after a confirmatory diagnosis in which regular blood pressure monitoring is a recommendation. Blood pressure readings are not something we do at every exam, without a confirmed diagnosis or reason for needing one, as this would incur unnecessary costs to owners. We did offer to waive the tech fee for the blood pressure reading as you said you did not expect this charge, but you declined. We also offered a medication to give to Arthur prior to bringing him in to help calm him more for appointments, which you also declined. Unfortunately, we were unable to come to any sort of compromise beyond that as you had disconnected the call with management after yelling and swearing at two separate receptionists, both of which had transferred the call to management and both of which you disconnected yourself. Lastly, our floors may be scuffed from the years of dog paws, and fixtures not to your liking, but they are cleaned between each patient and again at the end of every day and in no way reflective of the years of education and experience of our compassionate, gentle, dedicated, and hardworking team has. We wish you and Arthur the best.
Experiencia fantástica: I have been taking my dog and cats to City Creatures for years. They always get me in for an appointment quickly! The staff is always so nice and treat my pets great! Even after moving out of the city and to the suburbs, I make the drive to City Creatures to make sure my pets get the best care!

Experiencia negativa: I brought my cat Jersey here (because the place that I normal would that him didn't have an opening till 12/1/2025) Wednesday 11/26/2025 not knowing why he was sick? I got an estimate of over $850 I can afford that I'm on social security so I payed for what I could afford and said let see what happens. Today Thanksgiving I watch my cat die it wasn't pleasant. Yep just a little bit bitter because it was hard to watch and not be able to do anything I prayed to god let him go, I just wanted to share.

First and foremost, we are so sorry to hear about Jersey's passing. Losing a pet is incredibly painful and we extend our deepest sympathy. While we wish financial limitations were never a factor in providing care, we must operate within the realities and costs of providing medical services. We squeezed Jersey into our schedule, who was not previously a patient of ours, and saw him within 45 minutes of your call for help. We offered and explained crucial diagnostics such as bloodwork and x-rays, which you declined, making it difficult to treat him properly, not knowing the root cause of his very concerning symptoms. We gave him fluids and sent you home with the only medication you approved, hoping for the best. Unfortunately it was not the outcome we hoped for, and we grieve with you over his loss.
Experiencia negativa: I'm not totally disappointed with the clinic but we have decided to move elsewhere. I found some of their lab/procedure ordering practices to be excessive and expensive. I had very little positive experiences with whoever was on the other end of the phone when I called. My dog's chart has notes in it about me being "rude", because I asked them to verify the medication that they were gatekeeping and gave us the run around with. That's not very professional in my opinion. I just don't see the point of having to struggle with EVERY aspect of owning a dog with a difficult vet office experience. Go somewhere else, save yourself the time and the headache.
I cannot apologize enough for your experience. I would love to look further into who made this notation and where the issue was with your pets necessary medication, but I'm unable to locate an account in our system with your username. There is NO excuse for staff to be rude toward you and it's inexcusable for a staff member to leave a notation like that in your pets medical record; this is not at all the culture City Creatures works so hard to cultivate and does not represent the staff here that is dedicated towards exceptional patient and client care. I would very much appreciate the chance to look further into this so that I can take appropriate disciplinary action with the staff member involved. Experiencia negativa: I am leaving this office because of poor communication from staff and them not approving my dogs meds. I used City Creatures in the past for my pup from about 2016-2021 and had a great experience, so when I adopted a pittie in January of 2025 we were excited to take him to City Creatures, but what a disappointment it has been. Although the vets and techs were very polite, I find the communication to be lacking. My husband and I took our pup to his first appointment and were told, as we know, we would need flea and tick drops as well as heartworm meds. The tech said, "You can get them from us, but many people like to order these from Chewy." We wanted to order our pups meds from Chewy because it is cheaper and we already get all his food, snacks, and toys from there already. So I used the Chewy app to request my dog's Triheart Plus (for Heartworm) and Onguard (a flea and tick preventative). About two weeks later, I received an email from Chewy saying, "We're still working on approval for Mulligan's prescription item." Then a few days later, I recieved an email that City Creatures did not approve the prescriptions for my dog, because there was no record of him as a patient. After calling City Creatures and speaking to a receptionist, who spoke to me in a condescending tone, I was told that it must be that the phone number in the Chewy account does not match the patient phone number at the vet's office. Okay- so I changed the phone number with Chewy with my husbands number, so it would match the phone number CIty Creatures has on record and my dog can hav his meds three weeks later. Also I would expect that offices that do this kind of stuff all the time would anticipate these types of things and tell their patients to check the numbers on file when requesting meds...anyways, AGAIN City Creatures denied the medication for my dog. My husband called them and was not happy and told them it had been several weeks that our dog had not had his meds and that they needed to approve it. This is poor quality care, in my opinion. Now since this fisco, we have had another issue with lack of communication from a receptionist. Our dog was due for his heartworm meds AGAIN- so my husband called City Creatures to request it. He had the phone on speaker and we were told by the receptionist our pup was due for heartworm testing. Since we are not veterinary professionals, my husband said, "So do we need to bring in a stool sample, or what?" The receptionist said, "yes, do that." So, that week I dropped off a stool sample to City Creatures and the receptionist looked at my like I had three heads and wanted to know why I was dropping off a stool sample to check for heartworm. "Your dog needs bloodwork to check for heartworm. His fecal testing is up to date." The inconsistency in communication is unacceptable when we are trusting you all to be on the same page. We decided to leave for a different vet in WNY- UPON Reading my dogs records we sent to our new vet, office staff from CITY CREATURES decided to include in our dog's medical records that my husband was rude. This is not professional at all and pretty nervy of someone to say who did nothing but give us the run-around when it came to taking care of our dog.

I deeply apologize for your experience. I would love to look further into where we went wrong, but I'm unable to locate a Madigan Brown in our system. Unfortunately, we've had nothing but issues with Chewy in the past and we've been working to rectify them for a long time. Since we do not have access to an online portal for Chewy, like we do for our clinics online pharmacy, all Chewy orders have to be done via back and forth faxes, emails, and calls, and often we're finding we're getting multiple requests for medications we've already approved, or owners aren't getting their medications that have been approved, which is why we've switched to writing paper scripts for Chewy medications. Our hope is that owners can submit them directly on their owner portal and eliminate the risk of missed prescription requests and approvals. However, the stress that Chewy causes our clinic is NO excuse for staff to be rude toward you or your husband, and I'm absolutely appalled that a staff member wrote in your pets medical record that you were rude; this is not at all the culture City Creatures works so hard to cultivate and I cannot apologize enough. While I understand you've already switched clinics, I would still like to extend our deepest apologies, and would love to look further into this so that I can take appropriate disciplinary action with the staff member involved. if you are open to it, please reach out and ask to speak with the hospital manager.

Experiencia fantástica: City Creatures is the best veterinary practice that I have ever taken my animals to. We woke up last Thursday to our elderly cat exhibiting some seriously concerning symptoms. We called our regular vet, and they did not have a doctor on staff, so we started calling around. City Creatures was happy to accommodate us in an emergency sick visit and was willing to examine her. Unfortunately, we were given pretty bad news, but we were also given options. They did not push us one way or the other and gave us time to talk about it privately. When we did make the hard choice to opt for euthanasia, all of the staff went out of their way to make sure that we were comfortable when we said goodbye. They were so sweet to our girl and we did not feel like we were being rushed at all. When we came to collect the remembrance items, everything was presented so beautifully and it was clear that there was a lot of thought put into it. There is a superstar staff here at City Creatures, but I want to specifically shoutout Becky, Dr. Benton, Jacob and Tori for their extreme kindness and making such a hard day that much easier for all of us. We will be bringing all of our other animals here in the future, I suggest you do too! I've attached a photo of our sweetie girl :)

Experiencia negativa: I'll never forgive that awful woman for loading up my pup on "meds" that he didn't need (got a second opinion and they said what city creatures did was unnecessary). Perfectly healthy dog that passes away 2 days after the meds were prescribed/administered. It's a business at the end of the day and they got their money so I'm sure they didn't care except for the one woman who checked on us after.

Experiencia negativa: Having only heard good things about City Creatures from friends, I am disappointed to say I haven’t had a good experience. The vets themselves are alright, but the receptionist I’ve spoken to over the phone is very disrespectful. When I brought my 6 month old puppy in for a visit because he had adverse reaction to antibiotics prescribed to him from my last visit at city creatures, I was given a prescribed diet. It wasn’t until I got home I realized I was given a bag of adult dog food. Hesitant to give adult dog food to my 6 month old puppy, I called them to explain my concern. I was then laughed at by the receptionist, who followed up by saying “we know what we’re doing here. it’s not like he’s a cat, he can have dog food. it’s no big deal.” On a Saturday I left a voicemail requesting an appointment since my puppy has been coughing. I wanted to find the cause and get the proper care for my dog. At 7am on a Monday I received a voicemail saying I should call back when they open at 8am to set up an appointment. Considering I first wake up around 7:45am, I did not return the call until 10am. Not that it’s anyone’s business but I had a meeting from at 8:30 that morning. When I returned the call, I was nervous because I knew I’d be speaking to the same receptionist who not only called me at 7am, but laughed at me for being concerned about my puppy’s health and my hesitance to give him adult dog food. I was displeased to find out I’d be speaking to her over the phone again. I gave my information to her after saying “I’m returning a call I received this morning” and was told “we make a lot of phone calls, you need to be specific. what’s the number?” not a great start. After I apologized, I gave her my phone number. She replied “well if you followed my instructions and called back at 8am like I told you to, you’d have an appointment. now we’re all booked for today.” this was beyond unnecessary in my opinion. I understand people have bad days, but I have never been treated with respect by this receptionist. I will not be returning here solely because of how the receptionist treated me.

Experiencia negativa: This place seems to have a rotating door of vets or temp stand in vets. So it’s difficult to maintain a relationship or consistency with care. We were in 2 times in last month, billed for a physical exam and blood work ect. When I requested my dogs tick medicine it I was told I needed to bring her in for her annual “wellness” exam and the previous visits were not good enough. Nys law requires vets to have only preformed a physical in a years time….. so, after having consistent care and check ups recently to include a full blood panel didn’t satisfy a “wellness visit”, it’s necessary to go back, to order her tick medicine. Yeah, sorry time for a new vet! When I discussed this with another facility, they were also very confused as to why I would have needed another visit. Not a fan!
Jaime, I apologize for the misunderstanding. Your two most recent visits with us were to address health concerns your pet was experiencing, with bloodwork to investigate those specific concerns. Bloodwork for a sick pet is different from the annual heartworm bloodwork required to approve the prescription flea/tick/heartworm preventative you requested. Additionally, we do not update vaccines when your pet is sick, so the point of a healthy exam is to be able to update those vaccines that she is currently overdue for.
Additionally, while we do have 6 doctors on staff, we occasionally have a relief doctor step in to cover when our full time doctors are sick or on vacation, so that we can still accommodate our high volume of clients and patients. We try to keep pets with the same doctor to maintain continuity of care, however when a pet is sick and that doctor is not available we will schedule you with whichever doctor is available to have your sick pet seen as soon as possible.
While we regret losing you as a client after being there for you and Moki through multiple illnesses, we do hope you've found another great clinic to suit your needs.
Experiencia negativa: Everyone was nice to me and my girlfriend. So I can’t complain there. Our cat’s breathing sounded odd and stuffy. We asked multiple times could it be a cold or simply a hair ball. That was shot down immediately and proposed to look further with sedation. So we trusted them and let them dig deeper. To find out our cat just had an ear infection. So two visits later and close to 1200$ spent, I’m in shock. I’m glad everything is ok with our cat but I cannot believe that checking for a cold or ear infection was not the first thing that was checked. After the first X-ray showed no concern they did another any ways on day two. I will not be going back they ran up the price on us. All that for an ear infection.

My call was passed around between 2 receptionists where instead of trying to find a time that would work for both of us for an appointment that was not urgent whatsoever i was blatantly told “I don’t think you should come to our clinic”. She then referred me to another clinic which the woman then said is “hard to get a hold of”…Very disappointing experience, I now have to continue researching clinics that are a lot farther away from me and feeling hopeless because they are apparently “hard to get a hold of”

Experiencia fantástica: 1000/10! I wanted to get a second opinion on my dog’s condition, they got me in the very next morning as a new patient. Dr Reiller was so amazing along with the tech, everyone was incredibly sympathetic in a place where you have to deliver bad news all day every day. We were given so many options but I never felt pressured one way or the other and left feeling like we were doing the best we could for my dog. You can tell they do this because they truly love animals. Couldn’t recommend enough!

Experiencia negativa: My dog has been a client for years now and I have never had an issue here until today. My dog had her ear drained and was fitted for a sleeve type wrap for her head to wear home. The head wrap did not fit right, fell off as soon as we walked to the car and I was changed 97$ for something that was never going to fit properly. I had to wait an extremely long time after her ear draining for the head wrap to be put on as they were having trouble getting it to fit properly. I went back in to have them put it back on immediately and at that point I knew this was never going to stay on as it was cut and manipulated to “fit her head” When I came home and walked in the door it fell off again. Why change me for something so expensive for it to not work even before I leave the parking lot and know full well it was never going to even last through the night. When I called to try and rectify this situation I was told I had limited options. To top it off while I was paying before the incident in the parking lot, they offered me a courtesy discount for having to wait so long for them to fit this wrap on my dogs head. They returned my dog to me 15 min after paying to say that they “took off too much money in the courtesy discount and can I pay half of it back” They legitimately charged me for a mistake they had made for a discount I did not even ask for. After this experience I will be switching vets immediately.

As I sit in my car crying right now because I just picked up my beloved bearded dragon Chef’s remains they were so attentive as my son had to make the hard choice of putting him down last week, the doctor and staff were so kind to him and did not make him feel like he was neglectful towards his animal at all which my son felt like he was because he got sick out of nowhere, they walked him through the whole process, and they even casted chef’s unique arm with his tail for my son to have and put him in a beautiful wooden box. I cannot thank you enough for making this as easy as possible for us!

Experiencia fantástica: From the initial call, to the handling of remains the whole process was easy, and transparent. This is the only hospital that would take my injured duck, who was attacked by a fox. I was seen quickly, reception was great and nice. The tech was very helpful. The vet was very gentle, but thorough. The vet gave me several options for care, prices were transparent, and there was no pressure. The remains were even places in a very nice case. If I ever need any avian care I'd go here.

Experiencia fantástica: I recently came here with my turtle Rexie, right from the start there was a calm aura and both receptionists are super nice. The assistant and vet were both super nice and patient. The vet was super gentle with rexie, and rexie actually let her hold her head. I was so shocked. But of course, once she realized what happened, she didn't let her do it again, lol. They also helped me stay in my budget, which was perfect. But rexie did perfect, and so did they. 100% will be coming back in the future. Wonderful people who work there.

Experiencia fantástica: Decided to bring our cat here for a second opinion after having a bad experience with Brighton Eggert Animal Hospital. He needed major dental surgery and we were looking for someone to listen to and address our concerns without treating us like we were being cheap. (The vet at Eggert had next to no bedside manner, we would ask a question about the procedure and they would respond by just handing us a payment plan, and honestly each time we went there our quoted cost would double or triple. They took him off a needed med to force the appointment (imo). City Creatures said they didn't know why he would have been taken off it and prescribed again while we waited for his appointment and we are very thankful). Everyone from front desk, to vet techs, and the doctors at City Creatures were an absolute pleasure to work with! Everyone listened to our questions, answered them with honest sincerity and seemed to genuinely care about our pet's care!! I could not be more pleased! It was a scary experience, we love our little guy and of course trust vets to know more in-depth medical stuff than we do, but they actually cared about that fact that we know him personally, if that makes sense. He has since had his dental surgery and seems to be healing and getting along nicely! It was nice to be able to actually trust the folks at City Creatures to handle such a procedure! (Dr. Ernst and Dr. Pera were fantastic)! I highly recommend this practice!!

Experiencia negativa: I took my furbaby here after she came from the groomer and wasn’t acting herself. They right away give you an “estimate” ok I understand people want to know upfront. So the first estimate for well over 700 then we took off things she did not need!! Got it down to 604. That was for blood work and X-rays !! I needed to leave for work after waiting an 1 1/2 so she had to call me with the results. She called me at 8:00 pm and said unfortunately I don’t have the best news. Talula has a mass on her spleen. She needs emergency surgery by a board certified surgeon and that’s going to be thousands and thousands of dollars OR I can TRY and do it in house to save you some Money but the chance that she doesn’t make it out of surgery is very high (like what ?? ) or she needs to be euthanized because she’s suffering!! I was so distraught! I asked her to call me back the next day so I can absorb this information she just gave me. She indeed called me back and repeated everything she said the night before (I might add that she was NOT very compassionate) ok I felt really icky about the whole situation, I decided I wanted a second opinion! I went to another animal hospital (I forwarded him the blood work and X-rays ) I took her in today, and he first did a sonogram, if that was good they were gonna do an explorative surgery to see exactly what was going on ! Well it turns out it was NOT her spleen, it was her uterus and she DID NOT have to have that big surgery!! I’m furious with this place! I called to talk to Dr Pera and they said she wasn’t in. They asked if I wanted to leave her a message, I said yes! When I told her what happened the girl said “I’m glad you for a second opinion, and people make mistakes” well sorry that was a HUGE mistake! I almost put my baby down thinking she was suffering! Always get a second opinion.

Experiencia fantástica: They are amazing to both our German Shepherd and our cat. My dog actually looks forward to going there! Anytime we have needed anything, they have been very accommodating and show a genuine care over our pets wellbeing. I would never trust anyone else again. We switched to City Creatures 9 years ago and have never looked back! Every surgery, UTI, xrays, annual checkup...etc has been truly better because of their treatments, their care, and fair pricing. Just giving an update and keeping all the stars like before. Our dear furry family member has passed away. City Creatures has been a blessing to us and to her from the moment we brought Lakota in, until the moment they had to lay her to rest. We had 11 beautiful years with her. Sadly our dog passed away that day, but the amount of empathy and care we felt after such a traumatic loss cannot be understated. However he ended up having a bad reaction to the vaccine this time. Experiencia fantástica: I can't express how much I love and appreciate City Creatures! I started taking 2 of my 3 dogs here about 3 years ago. I didn't transfer my oldest because his vet had taken care of him for 11 years, through a few bouts of Mast Cell surgeries and such, and I felt keeping him with the vet that knows him was best (eventhough I was thoroughly displeased with them for the last 4 years or so). Well, recently my oldest was out of sorts and needed to be seen THAT day. I had a HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE with his vet's office!!! Staff were jaw-droppingly terrible! While in the intake area there, I called City Creatures, audibly upset I'm sure, and gave them a brief rundown of what was going on and they were able to get me in THAT day and even gave me some kind words to try to calm me down. To say I'm grateful for ALL of the staff at City Creatures is an understatement. It just feels different here. The staff is caring (ALL OF THEM, EVERYTIME!), they communicate well, they follow through, they check in, they are reasonably priced, THEY ARE ALL COMPASSIONATE and not just out for your money! I'm not sure my needs for a vet's office could be met any better than they are here. And it's consistently like this each and every time! I love this office ❤️

Experiencia fantástica: We got our puppy at the height of the pandemic veterinary crisis—City Creatures was the only place willing to accept us as a new patient in time for him to stay current on his vaccines. Due to some unfortunate emergency experiences as a young pup, our dog is an absolute terror at the vet. But City Creatures has tried their very best to make him feel comfortable there and I have a huge appreciation for the work they do and the way they treat him despite his fiery temperament. They have a great system that allows you to get in for same day care, too. Really happy with my experiences here, especially with Dr. Sood and the support staff.

Experiencia fantástica: First time going to City Creatures and it was a good experience. Recently moved out of state and needed an appointment quickly to get my dog her seizure medication. I was able to get an appointment within a very reasonable timeframe, everyone was friendly and helpful. The vet was very nice and knowledgable. The clear/tick and heartworm medications offered were a bit out of my budget but I felt no pressure to purchase them there and they offered alternative places to get them for less. Experiencia negativa: DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE!!!!! If I could leave a zero review, I would. Our cat is reverse sneezing. That is the sound she was making that made us concerned to bring her in. There is no bowel obstruction. I am extremely happy that we were smart enough not to listen to your incompetent so called Dr Para and have exploratory surgery performed on our cat for no reason. I feel sorry for the other people that may have not been so lucky. She should probably go back to vet school. Oh, and they robbed us blind! SHARED EVERYWHERE.

Experiencia negativa: There is a receptionist there, I believe his name is Kyle, he is very very rude and even wrote nasty things in my pup’s chart about us. Did he think we wouldn’t be able to view our records? So disappointing, this place used to be so great, it’s overpriced and unwelcoming now. After many years here we found a new vet.

Also it would be nice to know if you’re going to be charged for something and how much. We had a normal check up and they added a service and we thought because it was apart of the check up it was the normal price but it was an extra charge.

Experiencia negativa: Very disappointed. I have taken all my dogs to to this vet for almost 15 years. I have seen such a down turn in customer service. Most recently we had an appointment for the Lepto booster shot for our dog. They took us almost 30 minutes late ( which has become the norm at recent appointments) Our dog has a reaction to the shot so we called about pre dosing. We were told the incorrect amount so when we came and they asked how much Benadryl we gave they said it was wrong. They said they would need to give a dose or we would have to reschedule and come back. No care for the mistake on their part. Rescheduling would mean missing the booster shot window and more time off work. They charged us for their error. The pre dose was MORE than the actual booster shot.

Experiencia fantástica: City creatures is by far the best vet for our Loki. We've had some bad experiences with other animal hospitals with past pups and it was worth the extra research we did to find the right one. Loki is never afraid or timid when going into the vets office which is WONDERFUL!

Experiencia negativa: I bring both my dogs here. After today's visit however we will not be returning. Had an appointment booked for our elderly dog for thyroid blood levels to be checked. I figure while we were there that they could cut his nails as well. When my husband asked for that he was told that we would have to book an appointment with the doctor for his nails to be cut. So after talking with my husband I called the office and asked the receptionist about cutting a dogs nails and that was when she let me know that it would be a tech visit plus the nail cutting of $22. So I was a little confused why I would need a doctors visit (which is more money vs a tech visit). After being with the office for now well over 13 years I'm extremely disappointed in how the whole situation was handled. Extremely misleading and seems to be some communication errors happening.

Receptive to our suggestions but I’d they could research some strategies to put pets at ease other than drugs it would be nice. Otherwise, clean office, knowledgeable staff.

Experiencia fantástica: Back With covid I wasn’t able to go inside, but after reading all the positive feedback I decided to have my rescue dog Gus neutered there. The staff was patient, friendly, genuine, and took great care of my pup. They answered all my questions. Go back in 2 weeks for his follow up. Everyone I dealt with was a pleasure Now it’s 2023 and they are STILL my year round vet. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I never had an appointment with them before but they still made an effort to squeeze an appointment in for my pet rat. They got me in and were so unbelievably kind, the entire staff was friendly and understanding. I’m grateful to the person who took my call, the nurses who comforted me and my rat, and the doctor; who didn’t sugar coat the possibilities and made the situation easier to understand. Experiencia positiva: Good with animals but Very very expensive, didn't expect to spend a thousand dollars on an indoor cat. With the comprehensive package they still charge for plastic cone that never was used and pain pills. I guess those things aren't included with the package so I paid extra for.....my card now gets charged every month for a year $75.95 WOW......ps.... I did call and ask questions, I was not offered any help

Experiencia fantástica: Fiona and I had a bad experience at her previous appointment. This was communicated with the Office Manager and she said she would red-flag Fiona's chart. I believe that was done. Jacob came to the rescue. He was very supportive, informative, and literally got down to Fiona's level (on the floor). Fiona was very much at ease. Same with the Vet. The shots were still problematic with Fiona but I better understand when to give her the dogie tranquilizer. Jacob even showed us a secret exit. Any trepidation is now gone. I'm also much better informed about a number of matters. Thanks.

When I called, the staff went above and beyond to assit, even going out in the bitter cold to search the parking lot grounds to see if I may have dropped it there. I eventually found it wedged down between my car seats. Lol. The staff was relieved. That caring touch makes me and my pup, proud to be a part of the City Creatures family. She was nervous cause it was her first visit & they did everything to give her space & to make her feel comfortable. There was a walk-in emergency (not our pet) right at the time of our appointment and the staff were so kind and responsive. Dr. Joe and the vet tech were still very thorough and attentive with our pet (who really hates being at the vet) after the emergency situation. Would recommend to anyone in the Buffalo area!
Experiencia fantástica: I was able to get in that same day for my dog to be seen and everyone there was very friendly and helpful! My bubbas was feeling pretty sick but they made sure he felt comfortable and at ease during his exam and while administering his fluids/ taking blood. I also really appreciated the lady working with me to figure out the best options for him to feel better but that I could still afford as well! I was very pleased with my visit and it makes all the difference when you're already worried about your fur baby that the team is there for you both and working with you in every way!

Experiencia negativa: I took my 13 yr old cat in for a first time physical & although staff is very nice, I was not happy with the vet. She proceeded to attempt a catheterization without my consent! We only talked about blood work & an immunization. The tech told me that his “bladder was too small” to get a urine sample-I’m sure she meant his urethra. I informed the office manager who said she’d speak to the vet, but naturally, I will not return there!

City Creatures cares about every single animal and offers them individualized care EVER VISIT! Experiencia fantástica: I took in a foster kitten on an emergency basis on a Sunday and left a message with City Creatures asking for the next available appointment as the little guy had gooey eyes and a runny nose, and was thin as a rail, poor thing. The very next morning the receptionist called me within minutes of opening and got me an appointment for him that same morning! I was so grateful. Little Eugene is doing better already because of quick and loving attention from Dr. Chevalier and the team. Best vets ever!
Experiencia fantástica: Dr James Albert and City Creatures have always been there for Grace and me. She is eleven now, and has had two surgeries for breast cancer. She also suffered an FCE about six years ago. She went in for her shots, etc. on August11th 2021, and actually looked for the door and seems excited to go in. Like she was happy to be there. I find that unusual. We are so pleased with the way we are treated, and drive about 35 miles and past many veterinary clinics to get there. It's well worth it to us. I wouldn't want Grace to be treated anywhere else. Thank God we have City Creatures and Dr Albert to go to when Grace needs anything. Personally I think Grace would be happy just to stop in to say hi to the gang. And they'd probably be happy to say hi too.
Experiencia fantástica: I have been searching for a vet for my rabbit for a long time. This came as a recommendation from the SPCA. I was so glad that I found this place. Service was excellent staff doctors and nurses were extremely friendly effective and thorough. I know that Butterscotch is in the best place for her care.
