Experiencia negativa: If I could give 1 star I would. Money grabbing establishment. Brought my dog 3 days ago had pneumonia 700$ later they say to call back if he worsens to see what c Can be done. Fast forward to today trying to get more antibiotics a Or a steroid they want me to bring him back. They know hes aggressive and hard to get near to xray etc. So now they want to charge me another vet visit on top of whatever else instead of just calling in the prescription. I dont even know how dr edwards got her license. DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS HERE. The technicians don't do anything to try to help starting to wonder how much they really know. ❤️1

She found some arthritis in her back legs and explained our options and the costs of different supplements and prescriptions. She was very patient and answered all our questions. She made us feel that she truly cared about our pet's health. It was a great experience!

Experiencia negativa: My friend and I are trying to have a private cremation for a stray cat we have been feeding for 6 months. My friend called this hospital and was met with a rude receptionist that flat out told her that it would be $400 plus an appointment and documentation because the cat wasn't a patient. So I reached out to my vet, who does private cremations through Pet Angel for $241.

Experiencia fantástica: I have nothing but great things to say and had a wonderful experience with this place every time I've been there. I originally went to a vet in Bonita as my dog had pyometra and they wanted 7k for the surgery. Then when I asked about the cost of putting her down they gladly said it was 700$. I told them they should be ashamed of themselves for even considering putting a dog down that could be saved if their price wasn't so high for the surgery. So I was referred to Viscaya in cape coral and they did it for 2k, and did some other things whole she was under anesthesia and were so caring and loving. Then recently, my teacup 15yo Chihuahua had a loose tooth and needed an extraction and I was going to get the test of her teeth cleaned (she only had 11 left) and went to a different vet in Bonita, Newport animal hospital, and they quoted me almost 1500 to extract 2 teeth, without even doing anything but looking at her mouth, them said it would be more of she has more teeth to extract. They also said she had an infection, which is why her tooth was so loose in the front. So they give me the quote and wasn't too schedule her for surgery 2w later, and never mentioned giving her an antibiotic during the 2 weeks while waiting for surgery. I ended up emailing Viscaya the quote I received from them and asked them what they would charge. They immediately replied and said it would be 1100 for the extraction and teeth cleaning. I agreed and they had me bring her that week. They charged me 900$ cuz they had to extract 10 of the 11 teeth. She literally had one left! But they were so caring, loving, and honest, and called me right after her surgery to tell me how she was doing. I will drive the hour drive from now on to go to Viscaya where I know she will be cared for and it's not all about money there. They truly care about the animals. I would highly recommend this place!

We originally brought her in for a cancer spot found decided since we heard breeding with pug can be difficult for thier health to spade her as well when they went in she had Pyometra. She is home doing amazing. The surgeons and vet techs was amazing and every question and helped this very emotional and grateful pug momma

From the very first moment, she was incredibly sweet, patient, and compassionate with my dog Zeus and my family. She took the time to explain everything in detail, answered all my questions, and made sure I fully understood the procedure and the recovery process. She is extremely professional and knowledgeable, and you can truly tell how much she cares about her patients. Thanks to her clear explanations and gentle approach, I felt confident and at ease leaving my dog in her care. I am beyond grateful for her dedication and kindness. I highly recommend Dr. Blowers. I would also like to thank Dr. Lawrence, who attended us during an emergency visit and was very kind and pleasant as well.

Experiencia fantástica: Took our two fur babes here the other day for the first time. They allowed a shared visit with both of them. Facility was in great shape. All the staff was super helpful. Tech's/assistants were great with both cat and dog. The doc was amazing too. Very kind, not pushy, listened to me and my concerns for them. When you move to a new city, finding new doc's for all your family needs is always a worry, even when it comes to your pets. So glad we found our new Vet. Thank you everyone! -Geo & Eli

Experiencia fantástica: I went to Viscaya Prado Veterinary Hospital twice on an emergency basis. My regular Vet which I was not really happy with anyway was to busy to see me on an emergency. Viscaya Prado got me right in and although I had to wait for another emergen y that was a severe walk in they were very kind thorough and professional. They apologize for having me waiting but kept me updated. After thatv1st visit I decided I would use them as my regular Veterinarian because of their staff and the caring service they provided.

Experiencia negativa: I don't know if I should even rate this place; all they care about is money. I've been coming here for four years with my dog ​​to get his allergy shots. They just weigh him, the doctor looks at him, sees he's red, confirms it's an allergy, and gives him the injection. For 100 pounds, it's $100, but for 110 pounds—just 10 pounds more—the injection costs $230. It's ridiculous; they more than double the price. But that's not all; now they want to charge me for a doctor's exam that they've never done before. A doctor just looks at him and sees he's red because allergies like this are actually treated by a veterinary dermatologist after proper testing. So, today I had to pay almost $500 for an injection that only cost $140. You can't even have pets in this country anymore; they want to become millionaires just by treating them.

Experiencia negativa: The good: we love Dr. Blowers, but this place is just another disappointment in vet experience in Cape Coral. The front desk is absolutely terrible. They cannot seem to get an appointment right, scheduled, or call back. There's usually 10 employees up front and none of them are competent enough to schedule or charge correctly. It seems the turn over rate is very high and the average employee has zero experience in customer service. Like the Doc and our regular vet tech, David, but the staff is problematic.

Experiencia negativa: Two animals of my moms were brought here and faced the consequences. The first dog had emergency surgery here, then had a stroke, then was having seizures after the stroke. The first visit was phenomenal. One of the employees gave their dog as a blood donor and they were so sweet. After she had the stroke, we brought her back to where seizures started. A doctor told us there's nothing they can do to help until the seizures stop & advised it may not be worth it to continue on; cost wise. I immediately took her to a neurologist in Naples who was able to stop seizures and advised not allowing them to be stopped created so much damage that my pup was on medicine the remainder of her life. The second pet was acting off in the morning, bought them in the morning & by 5:00pm, he was dead. No explanation as to why or what, just he passed away. My advice, use them for absolute emergency purposes but have an actual vet practice on standby to take them to during normal business hours. I now have my own dog and absolutely refuse to take her there, unless it is a life or death situation.

Experiencia negativa: Make sure the person at the front desk does their job right and actually checks you in properly or else they forget you're even there. Appointment was at 11PM. We didnt get into a room until 12:15PM. That wasn't until we went up and asked what was going on. Only then were we informed we weren't actually checked in. The doctor didn't look at our cat until 12:45PM. We didn't leave until 1:05PM. An exam that only took 5 minutes costed $189 and 2 hours of unnecessary waiting. Will never come back here again.

Experiencia fantástica: I had an unscheduled visit to this place on a SUNDAY. My cat has developed issues with allergies to the point the licking and itching was bothering me! I have no children but my cat is my child. My appointment time was set SAME DAY but it took a pretty long (felt like to me) to get in. The place was busy and I know one person can only do so much. We got Toby in, gave him a shot and was out of there in under 1.5hrs. Overall- VERY HAPPY and GRACIOUS these folks were there on a Sunday and could get us in. Highly recommend A++ JM & Toby

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been to many veterinary offices over the years, and Dr. Mellow is truly exceptional. We recently went to a highly rated vet who said my dog needed surgery, but couldn’t get her in for three weeks. Thankfully, we were referred to Dr. Mellow. After examining her, he determined surgery wasn’t necessary and instead prescribed joint supplements, which have made a big difference. Shortly after, my other dog was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, and Dr. Mellow has been incredible at explaining everything and guiding us through her care. I feel truly grateful to have such a compassionate and knowledgeable vet.

After the visit, my cat Thomas literally returned to himself, became as sweet and restless as before. We were in this veterinary hospital for the first time and were very pleasantly surprised by both the service and the friendly atmosphere, I highly recommend it!

Experiencia fantástica: Loved the staff! We took our parrot and they treated him good. The staff are animal lovers which is pretty important. The lady who scheduled our appointment was very sweet and she asked "what is your baby's name?" My son and I got lost and were late, but the Veterinarian was able to see our parrot and we didn't have to wait too long. Thank God.

Experiencia positiva: I have been with Vizcaya PRADO for a few years now but I think is time to change , the prices here are ridiculous, Bravecto for flea control $300 ( 4 chewable that yes they last 3 months each ) , the regular physical is over $100 , we left with a bill for over $700 for only 3 things my dog did , unbelievable. The staff is wonderful and the doctors but the prices are way too high . Place is clean and is sad because I like the place and so does my dog but I can’t with these prices .

Experiencia fantástica: On Sunday, I found this veterinary hospital and they agreed to see my dog under emergency circumstances. My dog ended up having an anal burst. It looked like he was stabbed with a knife. A doctor Seen the dog in about a half an hour. They were very slow. This place has like 18 veterinarians. OK back to the subject. Their charges were absolutely very reasonable. I paid $115 for an exam. my total bill was $280. I recommend this place for any day of the week. They are open seven days a week and holidays and have reasonable fees. Presently I am treating my dog as instructed by the veterinarian and he’s doing great.

Experiencia negativa: We had a disappointing experience with Viscaya Prado Veterinary Hospital (Main location at 1141 Country Club) while trying to confirm a microchip number for a rescue pet that had been surrendered into our care. Despite this being a mutual patient, the receptionist was unpleasant and unprofessional throughout the interaction. Rather than collaborating to ensure the pet’s well-being, we were met with resistance and a refusal to share basic information necessary to proceed with care. This not only delayed the process but made it harder for the animal to receive timely medical attention—all over a record that should have been straightforward to verify. We expect better cooperation and compassion when it comes to shared animal welfare cases, and unfortunately, that was not the experience here.

All of the staff was amazing, good with my dog (who is not a fan after our previous vet located in CC), informative and compassionate. Needless to say we are switching offices. Highly recommend.

We have been to other vets during normal hours and didn’t receive anything near the level of care and patience given at Viscaya Prado’s ER. Dr. Krista Lawrence is absolutely amazing, she listens and cares deeply and holistically. I can’t thank Dr. Lawrence and the night staff enough for being so kind and knowledgeable. What we thought would be one of the last times with our pup turned into a beam of hope because of Dr. Lawrence! update: We returned to Viscaya Prado’s ER a few weeks later to make a difficult decision and couldn’t say thank you enough again. Dr. Lawrence and the ER staff treated our girl with dignity and respect as we let her go. Thank you.

I have never had bad service here, and they definitely always seem to care about my animals. Lower, or that there was something they can do, but their professionalism and sympathy goes a long way with me.

Experiencia fantástica: The emergency team is incredible! We had to bring our grumpy basset hound in the middle of the night for a wound that wouldn’t stop bleeding. Not only were they able to handle my reactive dog and make it look easy, we were in and out in less than hour, and the bill was so reasonable, especially considering it was emergency hours. They were awesome. I think we’ll be switching over to this clinic for all of our veterinary needs after the care we received tonight. Thanks again guys!

Our regular veterinarian worked very hard to find us a pharmacy that had the best price on the leukemia medicine our cat needed.

The staff was not only helpful, but the girl on the phone stayed calm and even with me, which helped so much. These guys have helped us through multiple health concerns with our cats over the years, and have helped us say goodbye to three of our babies. They are empathetic, kind, caring, and great at what they do. I honestly can’t thank them enough for all they do for us and our furry family.

Experiencia negativa: I am very disappointed with my recent experience at Viscaya Prado Veterinary Hospital. I requested a prescription for my dog, but my concerns were not addressed appropriately. Despite providing all necessary information about my pet’s condition, the clinic failed to issue the prescription or offer a clear explanation as to why. This lack of transparency and responsiveness is unacceptable when it comes to my dog’s health and well-being. I expected a higher level of care and professionalism and will be seeking a different provider for my pet’s needs in the future.

Experiencia negativa: After finally being noticed that I was in line to check in, I waited for almost 45 minutes asking two times when we would be seen. The vet tech finally came out to take us back and was so rude. He never said hello, never smiled, barely said two words. Finally, the doctor came in, and I must say she was polite and friendly to all of us and good to our dog. He had a yeast infection in his ear so they cleaned his ear and put medicine in it. I thought $230 was quite pricey, $91 just for the office visit alone. Maybe that is the going price, I don’t know. But I think I need to check around town for some prices for future vet visits. I can tell you there seems to be a lot of office staff, I would say more than needed.

Experiencia negativa: The disrespect I get from the front desk, call center, even the first vet I took my puppy and two elder dogs too was ridiculous. First you sit on hold for 15 minutes in a call line which is fine, they pick up the phone (you can hear them pick up the phone) and you automatically get put on hold and I sat there for 10 more minutes. I called again and had to sit again the call line. I asked a simple question and the call center lady answered so rudely and when I called her out on it she got all defensive. The vet I had the first time at the main office was rude, I was feeding my dog school lunches, the 15 year blind and deaf dog we have, she said we were drug seeking for her, and she needs her teeth pulled, because she is in pain. We aren’t going to spend 1000s of dollars on an elder dog and go through that pain. Now when I went to the del prado doc fix the vet staff and front desk were so polite and understanding but how I have to deal with the call center and main vet when I have surgeries or emergencies, I think I that ruins my whole experience and will go to another vet

Experiencia fantástica: Best veterinarian around. Great staff, great doctors. I take 9 of my cats and 4 of my dogs here. One of my dogs is reactive and doesn’t like other dogs and people/men and they always accommodate her and make the process of her visit go very smoothly. She always remains anxiety and stress free during her visits because of how accommodating the whole staff are. All the doctors are phenomenal at what they do and I will continue to bring my pets here and also my foster pets since I run my own non profit. Experiencia negativa: we went in because we want our dogs teeth cleaned. We went to another dentist and we had an bed of approximately $2000 and we thought we could get it less money. We told the doctor about it. We told the doctor said our dog has something called disintegrating teeth. They disintegrate the gum line. I asked are you sure you can do that? He said yes. I was very clear. I said because the veterinary specialist dentist said that it is very specialized. he said they could do it. But they’re gonna clean his teeth and then whatever needs to be done. They’ll take care of it. I told him we really don’t need his teeth cleaned. They were clean a month and a half ago. We just wanna make sure that they’re pulled if you can do it he said we cleaned the teeth doing needs to be done. don’t worry about it. Long story short. We go to pick them up. It cost us $400. They couldn’t do anything to them because of the deteriorating teeth. Which we told him about. So it costs $400 for nothing. I really resented that I think anyone would especially since I was so so clear about it asking him several times are you sure and he answering back? Yes yes and yes. what he was basically saying is, give me your money and get outta here.

Experiencia negativa: I can not understand how in this clinic in 20 minutes approximately where they enter my dog to let me know how much the hospitalization would cost, they did 7 seven different tests with a cost of $694.97 and after those 20 minutes they come out and tell me sorry "collapse" what happened? What did they really do? I wouldn't have minded paying that and more if my dog lived. And for that collapse I paid 694.97. WHAT HAPPENED.

Experiencia fantástica: I can't find no words to tell you how happy I am with Viscaya Prado Veterinary Hospital. We have been customers for over 15 years .. Doctor Knoll, Mckelvie, Freed they all are magnificent but Today new doctor Trevor Altman was the star of this team. Today, a day after Hurricane Helene ..the hospital is really busy, so is our roads and our town. I have to salute and admire his professionalism, his ethics and all his faith on save and find the best solution, without killing us or gouging with charges and extra fees on our hospital estimate for my kitty cat Lily. I just want to let everyone know that they do open after hours from Monday to Thursday even when Google doesn't showing that they do as a emergency services. As a business owner I really appreciate when customers are leaving good reviews on my page. I am paying back. Thanks Viscaya and Thanks to all of those amazing staff

Experiencia negativa: Update: got off the phone with the “Office Manager” who said there’s nothing she can do except fire the employee that quoted me wrong. Kind of low, I feel like maybe settling this dispute would be less impactful but oh well. Was told the head doctor would call me today before the day ended and guess what, they dropped the ball again. Please do not waste your time here. They only want your money. I actually never share negative experiences I have at places because I always assume it’s not their standard however, this one I’m gonna have to speak on. My dog experienced a seizure so I called to get an idea of what the process and prices are like as I am tight on finances at the moment. I was quoted the visit fee, $95 and the minimum blood work would be just $75. The girl on the phone actually made me feel really good and confident about everything given the traumatic experience I just had. I went in for the appt and everyone was great, all the techs were so good to my dog and the doctor was so good at helping me understand what the issue may be. I go up to check out and almost $400 pops up on the screen…I said I was not quoted this much. The tech got another lady who just kept telling me no one is here to help resolve the matter. I told her I was only expecting to pay about $200…and she said well I can pay that and we can send a bill. I said no thanks, I’ll pay the $200 because that’s about how much I was told I would have to pay. I expressed my disappointment and admitted that I chose this place because of the great feedback I’ve heard and the price given to me just two hours before. I was allowed to pay the $200 and was told that I’ll be called about whether they’re going to send me a bill…what a scam.

He will give your pet the best medical care available. Dr Kroll is a true animal lover that cares for your pet as it was his own thanks for everything Viscaya Prado Veterinary Hospital is the best in the business. The best animal hospital in sw Florida hands down.they love and hug you're pets as much as you do I love doctor krull he's the best and been through vets from here to new york. And they have very very reasonable fees they are the best down here or anywhere you are.

Experiencia negativa: I agree with previous person who posted he went to clinic on a Sunday thinking they were open because the website said they were and they were not. I also tried on Sunday and they said they were open but could not see my dog because they did not have a doctor there. Someone needs to explain to their management you can't advertise you are open when in reality you are not. Very irritating.

Experiencia negativa: I would give him less if I could I took my dog in that was in pain at 3:30 on Sunday the website says they're open till 5:00 they quickly told me they had no more people that could see me and that I should go somewhere else didn't care one bit. They had no problem the last time I was there to take $700 and to tell me that they couldn't find anything wrong. I would not go to this place ever again they could care less about your pet or how you feel. But it's a hospital supposedly and they are supposed to take care of your pets when they're here in an emergency so I went back never again.

Sadly, we had put our Bella down today and the staff was insanely caring. They made the worst day of our life as good as they could. Very compassionate.

Experiencia negativa: Took are beautiful Daisy to them to have her teeth cleaned she weighs 5lb , she is 4 yrs old my wife signed a form that if they had to remove a few teeth that it's okay . My wife gets there and they pulled #24 teeth out of her little tiny mouth . Stay away they are very cruel to animals who does that to a little tiny dog . I called them when I found out and nobody cared not even the vet wouldn't call me back .stay away all they wanted was our$$$$$ . Tried to charge us $950 for all the teeth they pulled out.

Experiencia positiva: Everyone is friendly and willing to assist in anyway possible. Very clean and well located in cape coral. Not to sure any more about service. Dog was bleeding on his back from a fight with another dog. Promised to work us in without an appointment, waited over an hour with no help, not even from staff. Under staffed with vet's, possibly, only one was on duty with 5 patients waiting. Considering another vet.

Experiencia fantástica: Viscaya Prado, their staff and Dr Lawrence saved my dog’s life. I can’t express how truly wonderful they were when I thought my only option was going to be euthanasia. The doctor was kind enough to work my dog in and perform emergency surgery in the middle of the night. He was able to come home and be there to celebrate my one year olds birthday and for that I am forever grateful.

Experiencia fantástica: Been going here for quite some time, usually seeing Dr. P who is THE BEST, Takes time to answer your questions/explain things, super pleasant, professional and friendly. Recently had to unfortunately put my beloved dog Mojo down, which was a very hard time for me but the staff was caring, compassionate, professional, and as usual Dr. P was wonderful, even sending a condolences card to my residence there after. I would recommend this place to anyone whole heartedly.

The hardest moments I've experienced were made so much better by the love and care the team showed my pets and me. Anytime the health and care of my furry family was involved, money has always been an afterthought with the team at Viscaya-Prado, which has meant so much to me in those moments. ❤️ I recommend Viscaya-Prado to anyone with a furry, feathered, and scaled family looking for a caring and dependable vet!

Experiencia positiva: Customer service is average or sub-average. First time, having just relocated and we needed a good vet. The lady taking initial information didn't listen, I had to repeat info about my dog several times. Got to the dated location at 920 Country Club and the lady at the front desk seemed like she wanted to be anywhere but there. She didn't appear to be an animal or people person at all. The vet was nice, but service was pricey for the minimal service (weight, quick check up, two vaccines for $173) and the outdated facility. Maybe we were spoiled by our previous vet, but the facilities were not very clean. Dust, dirt, & dog hair visible on the computer at the front desk. Overall, I would not feel comfortable continuing using this particular location and will be seeking a cleaner, more pet & customer friendly location for long term veterinary services.

Experiencia positiva: Some of the care is fantastic, some not so much, and this place rips you off in pricing. I'm bringing my pets elsewhere.. paid about 100 bucks for the doctor to feel my cat's belly, take a little look at her, and I put her on the scale. That was it... 100 dollars. Not going back. Several people have told me there are better and less crowded places which don't rip you off.

Dr Melloh will be taking a growth off of my dogs leg & I have all the confidence in the world with him. This is a great clinic with doctors who care.

Experiencia fantástica: I would a 100% recommend. My little baby had a bad cough and they were very patient and understanding and treated my dog the best they could. I personally recommend Laidy the technician who works with Doctor P. I was nervous at first as to how she was going to be able to handle my dog (he is a 64ib puppy) he seemed half of her weight but she was very good with him!! Overall 10/10 great staff and great service!!

Experiencia fantástica: This veterinary clinic is fabulous. We were visiting from out of town and my dog got sick. I called on a Monday morning and they had n opening that afternoon. And just like that the Dr fixed him. All he needed was a medication. I absolutely loved this clinic. I hope to be back next year to get my dogs yearly vaccinations done here. It’s not expensive and the staff is exceptional.
