My pet has extreme trust issues and anxiety, however the staff here always takes their time, shows patience, and makes my dog feel comfortable. Further, they are extremely easy to talk to and explain the process that they recommend very well in detail. My pet has never felt so comfortable or behaved this calm in a vet clinic before. Due to their empathy and extreme patience with my pet, I recommend them to everyone I know.

Experiencia fantástica: We were looking for a reliable Vet Hospital for our dog Kallie, who is almost 12 years old and we found the Murrieta Oaks Veterinary Hospital. Wow, try them and you won't regret it. We met with Dr. Jeff Schmidts and he's the best. He is so straight forward and do explain everything to us on what's gonna happen and options for our dog.Also, the following day we, decided to put Kallie to sleep and we can say that we are relief on the services that we received from them, from the front desk and all of their Staff are so accommodating and you can really feel that they treat you as a Family and not just a mere Client. Murrieta Oaks Vet will be our go to Clinic for our other dogs. We are glad to find you. Thank you all mostly to you Sarina.

Experiencia fantástica: The recent location move was great for me because my drive to get to you guys is a bit shorter now. My recent visit went amazing. Dr. Jeff and Sarina are so sweet and helpful. Dr. Jeff helped resolve any and all concerns we had. They never try to pressure you into any type of expensive and/or unnecessary treatment here. Nor do they try to push any sort of product down your throat. I’m not well off by any means so taking my animals to the vet is a big financial undertaking and I’m always pleased with the costs here.

After my older girl passed, the Dr called me and chatted with me and reassured me there was nothing that could be done and was very sympathetic. She was 14 & her death was sudden. Had to take her to VCA to put her down unexpectedly. 2 weeks later, my other baby hurt her hind leg and they got me in right away and are just so sweet there.

Experiencia negativa: We took our German shepherd puppy here for vaccines and the whole visit was just really a bad taste in my mouth. We have been taking our Cat here and we usually see Dr. Jeff. We loved him last time so we wanted to bring out puppy to the same office when we got it. But We saw “Dr. Siobhan Lee“ instead. The vet basically stereotyped our dog and acted like she knew all about him because of a 10 min interaction. Told us “he’s clearly an anxious dog”. He is 11 weeks old and hadn’t had a nap and was getting impatient. They weren’t very puppy friendly and they shoved a muzzle on him and held him down. She then proceeded to tell us he was a very anxious dog “by the look of him.” NOT a very puppy friendly place. The worst part of the visit was that while we were discussing the comments about her calling him an “anxious dog” after she left the room we hear “recording interrupted” and realize she placed her phone face down and recording us without our knowledge or consent. She then tried to play it off that it was for “medical notes” and then told us that she deleted it but we were never shown proof of it being deleted. I felt that the vet assumed he was an anxious vicious dog simply because he’s a German shepherd. She clearly wasn’t knowledgeable on how important it is for a puppy to nap, and how bad it is when they don’t nap. Very off putting and will be looking for more of a puppy friendly veterinary clinic. A few days after letting this review sit in my drafts and we just got notes from the visit where she marked my puppy as “agressive/anxious”. IF YOU HAVE A PUPPY DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS CLINICIAN.

My boyfriend and I brought our dog rosey here twice and both times the staff have been so welcoming and so kind, you can see how much they truly care for the animals they see, we will definitely keep coming back and recommend this vet to everyone! Experiencia negativa: Just paid $1,700.00 for a dental for my dog. I still have (2) more dogs that need dentals but because they’re being so difficult to book a follow up (30) second check up, I’m going somewhere else. Front desk should have been more cooperative. I left a message for the manager to call me and no response so far. Also, my dog had (8) teeth removed, and no one’s called it to check in to see how she’s doing so I guess they don’t care.

Experiencia fantástica: I took my cat to Murrieta oaks vet hospital after she had three nights of restlessness. I found the vet through google where they had great reviews. I was able to make her an appointment that same day. As soon as we arrived we were led into a nice clean room. We didn’t have to wait long till a vet tech came and gathered information and the veterinary came soon after. I appreciated how they handled my cat with such care and gentleness. Along with a physical my cat got bloodwork & urine taken. I felt like all our questions and concerns were answered and didn’t feel rushed while there. Overall, it was a great experience and I do see myself bringing my cat back.

Experiencia fantástica: I just got home from here and I have to say that the receptionist, Dr. and her assistant were very professional and knowledgeable. We got there relatively early and took is in immediately. If I could, I would give 10 stars for the professionalism and services rendered. My dog was treated very well even though she was super nervous which is normal for her. I highly recommend them and am going back to this place as long as they dont move.

I have been to several vets and emergency clinics for my rescue and many visits revolve around pricing from the first contact, many estimates, and costs in the thousands. At Murrieta Oaks, my first visit was free and I paid $110 for xray/ultrasound. $110 out the door. This practice is ethical when many these days, are not.

Experiencia fantástica: My two dogs have been going here since they were pups and they’re about to turn 5 next month. The staff is very kind and helpful. We recently had, what we felt, was an emergency and they got us in right away. They were very kind as I was trying to hold back tears. Travi, my dog who had the emergency, is very anxious and the tech and vet were gentle and stayed calm, which helped Travi stay a little calmer. They answered all our questions and worked with us and kept us up to date. Pictures are of his first visit at the vet (the staff sent it to me) and yesterday when he was recovery. Experiencia fantástica: *NOTE: my review of Murrieta Oaks Animal Hospital is incomplete as Google does not offer enough characters for what I want to tell you* This is incredibly difficult to write, but I need everyone in the Murrieta, Temecula, Lake Elsinore, & Menifee area to know that whether your animal companion needs regular veterinary care, is having an emergency situation, or is in the need of end-of-life care - Murrieta Oaks Animal Hospital is the only place you need to go for your pet’s medical needs. Don’t even bother looking for other options, just go directly to Mur Oaks Vet. From the bottom of my heart, I am forever grateful for finding Murrieta Oaks Animal Hospital - I especially want to thank Dr. Lee, Kelli, and Ashley. These amazing women helped me through a very difficult decision and a most painful loss of my beloved fur baby; my cat Mee-Mow. They did so with great compassion and care to both Mee-Mow and myself. If you are facing the difficult end-of-life process with your animal companion, you need to take them to Murrieta Oaks Animal Hospital. Do not bother looking elsewhere, this is place you and your pet need to be. NOTE FOR THOSE CONSIDERING OR NEEDING EUTHANASIA: For those who need to make the difficult decision to put their beloved animal companion to sleep, this is the process I experienced at Murrieta Oaks Animal Hospital - their end-of-life care for your pet involves bringing you and your fur baby into a quiet and comfortable exam room, walking through the required patient paperwork, then a visit and exam with the doctor who will then advise you of possible options. Once humane euthanasia is decided they will take your animal companion to another room to place an IV then bring them back to you in the exam room with a comfortable blanket. Then they give you a remote control button and leave you with as much time as you need with your pet’s final time. When you are ready, you press the button and the doctor will come in and explain what happens next and what to expect after the administration of the two humane and completely painless and peaceful euthanasia medications through the IV. You are then given the remote button again and told, with compassionate emphasis, to take as much time as you need with your animal companion. When you’ve decided it’s time, push the button, and they will come retrieve your pet from the exam room. When the process was over I had so much grief, but I also felt at peace, and that is entirely due to how animal care (and human parent care) is conducted at Murrieta Oaks Animal Hospital. Additionally, it should be known that I am someone on a “low-budget” (pretty much a “no-budget”). I had called many facilities prior to finding Murrieta Oaks, and all the costs were astronomical for someone in my situation, and I was feeling very hopeless. When I called Murrieta Oaks to ask about pricing, their costs were at least half of everywhere else that I called AND they also emphasized that they would give Mee-Mow a free exam prior to making final decisions. The cost was $230 for the end-of-life euthanasia process - I’m including that number in my review because if people are in the same situation I was in, I do not want them to have to spend hours calling around trying to get answers about costs. If you think you can find a better price elsewhere, I’m telling you now, you are incorrect. Save yourself from the labor of looking for somewhere better, and use that saved time to be with your beloved pet, because you will not find a better cost anywhere else in the area especially for the impeccable quality care you will receive at Murrieta Oaks Animal Hospital. ABOUT THE PHOTO: The attached photo is of Mee-Mow, several days before she suddenly became gravely ill. I watched her sit like that for 20 minutes. At the time I made a joke that she was worshipping the Sun. But now I like to believe that the Sun was worshipping her. Love every single moment you have with your animals - they are giving you the priceless gift of their lifelong companionship, treat them well and love them deeply.

I told them I wanted to get a second opinion by my previous vet of 16 years before I moved . The visit had no conflict at all. Next thing I get notified I was not allowed to come back. Because I didn’t choose to have the surgery there. Bad business tactics

The Dr was very experienced, direct, and diagnosed my dobeys DCM immediately just from the symptoms and feeling her heart. I appreciate that she didn't sugar coat, which gives me closure to prepare for last days by giving her the best life I can. They offer cremation services also.

Experiencia negativa: If I could leave ZERO STARS, I would! Sent my HEALTHY 9 year old male tabby cat in for what we discussed as his YEARLY rabies and feline leukemia vaccination. My brother took him in for me as I was physically unable to do so. They took my cat out of the room, vaccinated him AND ALL ON THEIR OWN, decided to POISON my STRICTLY INDOOR CAT, ( WE HAVE NO OTHER PETS) WITH NEXGARD. It was a Friday and my cat began showing signs of salivating and pain. My brother said that the vet told him this was normal after vaccinations. Monday we received a text from the vet asking how he was doing. We texted back his symptoms and never received a response. I was in the hospital and called them when I got home in the afternoon. They LIED about my brother requesting the NEXGARD. My brother has no pets and said he never would've thought to ask for it. The vet offered to see him later in the afternoon and I WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYMENT FOR ANY TREATMENT. The initial treatment was over $200. My cat died that evening at home with us. You people MURDERED MY HEALTHY CAT WITH YOUR NEXGARD POISON!!!

Dr. Schmidt was also great - very good bedside manner, patience in explaining and discussing options, etc. We had 2 dogs for 15 years (now passed away), and we mostly went to VCA El Rancho in Temecula. Not a bad experience, we just thought we'd try another place with the new dogs we recently got. The animal rescue place where we got them uses Murrieta Oaks so we went with it. It's only been one visit, but I got more of a "family feel" from Murrieta Oaks, and I believe it's cheaper although I don't have enough data to compare. UPDATE APRIL 2025: We have been there several times now, and continue to like this place. Our male German Shepherd is an absolute nightmare at the vet (legit can NOT be handled), and the techs Ashley & Nicki are so patient and helpful. Oral sedatives do absolutely nothing - it's incredible. We have to get a sedative shot in his behind so that they can do any kind of exam or work. That part is not fun at all, but they do everything they can to help us get through it, and then it becomes easier.

Experiencia negativa: Staff might be polite and friendly but the overall service and care from the Dr is lacking. I took my XL dog in for severe swelling on his left rear leg last week. Took X-rays and the conclusion was either bone cancer or some kind of fungal infection. Additional lab work had to be sent out to see if it would hopefully be a fungal infection which is treatable and they said they would call back as soon as results came in. It's been exactly 1 week with no update and within the last 48 hours the swelling in my dog's leg has gotten even more severe and has spread further down his leg, his paw is now about 2x its normal size, and he's in pain. He cries and whimpers at night as it now seems to be quite uncomfortable. I called in to see if the results are back, evidently they did receive them, but never bothered to call me with an update. The girl over the phone congratulates me and said the tests are negative for fungal infection and her not knowing the situation doesn't know that it probably means it's bone cancer. I tell her that the swelling is even worse and he's in a lot of pain. But the Dr who saw my dog is out and might not be back until possibly next Monday or maybe this Friday or Saturday. She asked if I'd like to talk to another Dr today and of course I say yes because my dog is suffering. Same girl comes back and says the Dr instructed to continue to give him anti-inflammatory medicine and I can either bring him in, or wait for the original Dr to come back to talk to. Just a goat orgy of a mess of handling my dog's case and care. Pretty much all I got from the call was "take 2 advil and maybe the Dr will call you in a few days". I chose this place because the reviews seemed good, but that has not been my experience, and I simply cannot recommend this place.

Experiencia positiva: I have brought my American Bull Dog (7 yrs old) & my Pit bull (9 yrs old) here many times. We’ve also boarded our dogs here. Boarding has always been great. However, I was very disappointed when my American bull dog developed an inflamed anal gland and this vet was not able to help it heal even though we tried many different treatments (antibiotics multiple times. They even stitched closed one of the areas that was oozing. They did a biopsy on the inside of her rectum twice saying first that it was probably cancer. Then it wasn’t. Then saying maybe it was) We were devastated thinking she had cancer, then elated thinking it wasn’t, then devastated again when they said it could be cancer. They told us that they could remove the gland and the mass inside her rectum but it would like cost thousands of dollars. We had already spent around $2000 trying to fix the problem. We decided to get a second opinion and have an appointment this Saturday to find out what they say. I will update when we get that information. I will continue to bring our dogs here for boarding as they have always taken good care of our dogs. But anything other than that I will be taking them elsewhere. I understand that vets are expensive almost anywhere but not being able to resolve the issue of her anal gland and get a straight answer about the cancer is extremely frustrating. My advice is to get a second opinion before doing anything major with your pet.

Experiencia negativa: Amazing staff! I took my kitty to ER last week and found out she needed surgery for bladder stones asap. My primary vet, who had not been able to find the cause of her illness for over 6 months, was not willing to do the surgery. I called many vet locations, all who were very concerned and wanted to do the surgery, but Murrieta Oaks saw her next business day and was able to do surgery same day! Thank you so much for showing me you honestly care about our pets and taking such good care of my kitty! Edit: Jan 2025 I’ve been a loyal client of this veterinary hospital for years, spending thousands of dollars to ensure my pets received quality care. While the veterinarians have provided good medical attention, my recent experience with the office management was deeply disappointing and unprofessional. An isolated incident involving miscommunication and misinformation was blown out of proportion by the office manager, who reacted with hostility rather than professionalism. This culminated in my account being incorrectly labeled as “bad debt” without any prior notification, which was later acknowledged as an error. When I requested updated records, they were marked with “fired,” and I was told to take my business elsewhere. The office manager’s handling of this situation clearly prioritized personal grievances over the clinic’s best interests, disregarding my years as a loyal client and the significant business I brought to the practice. It’s unfortunate to see a good veterinary team overshadowed by poor management practices. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone seeking compassionate and professional service for their pets.

Experiencia positiva: We took our Princess Phoebe for her Bordetella & DHPP Immunization at Murrieta Oaks Vet. Hospital. My furry baby was shaking coz she knows that she's gonna get her shots soon, & I know its a commonreaction. But despite of her anxiety/ fear while waiting, the staffs were so nice and accommodating. They offered us treats to calm her down & when it was her turn to go in, the staff was very gentle and friendly with our Princess. It was a very quick visit but overall, an amazing experience coz our dog came out wagging her tail, and that to me, means she is satisfied with the service. Experiencia positiva: Would not go here again. I was charged for office visit once again when my dog was just there for vaccines. Doctors don’t introduce themselves when coming in to the room. Being over charged for dog to be nurtured. Overall experience not very good. Would not go here again.

Even when they are backed up on test results I get a call less then 24 hours❣️ I was warned it could be late the following day due to this delay too! Holidays they still get it done. After paying a visit with an appointment (there was no wait), she was given medicine to help and a shampoo. This worked wonders. She slept the whole night after one day and hasn't been itching aggressively since! Staff is amazing, especially Lexie. She helped answer so many questions and was very patient with me

Experiencia fantástica: When our newly adopted dog developed an ear infection over the weekend, I booked a same-day appointment at Murrieta Oaks because our regular vet was closed. We had only had him for about one week and were still getting to know him. The team was so thoughtful of our situation throughout the entire process. They even chose a treatment option that didn’t require me to flush or clean his ears at home, which made things so much easier for us. It turned out the infection was allergy-related and took several visits to fully resolve. Each time we came in, the staff was kind, attentive, and seemed to remember his unique quirks. They made thoughtful decisions that prioritized building trust in our new bond while also focusing on his recovery. Experiencia fantástica: I visited Murrieta Oaks Animal Hospital for the first time today with my senior foster cat, who had been showing signs of aging. I was concerned about her quality of life and wanted to get some guidance. From booking the appointment to checking in, everything went smoothly and seamlessly. The staff treated both me and my foster kitty with kindness, empathy, and dignity. Even though it was a busy Saturday and they were understaffed (management's issue, not the receptionist or vet techs), everyone was doing their best and provided excellent care. I could tell that the staff truly cared about the animals and the pet parents. Also, the vet I saw was a straight shooter and told me exactly what she recommended for my foster, which is something I appreciate tremendously. She cared about the quality of life of my foster cat, not how much money she could make off of me. I also loved the little touches I saw around the office. The signage in the rooms and the paw prints drawn on the cubbies. It shows that the people who work there care about the hospital and see it as something worth treasuring. Bonus points for the adorable office kitty that kept me company while I waited!

They treated me and my boy so well, and gave him plenty of love and patience...they are reasonably priced, and really do give you the right options for your baby instead of just upselling unnecessary procedures. It's been quite a challenge for me finding a good, trustworthy, decent vet out here since moving from the east coast, and I think we finally found our place!

The entire experience was wonderful. The Vet Techs were amazing and so kind to my senior dog. The Vet spent a lot of time with us and answered all of my questions! I am so happy to have found such a wonderful new vet because I know switching vets can be quite scary. I highly recommend this practice

Experiencia fantástica: Wonderful experience here - Our doggo Emma Rose was suddenly not able to use her hind legs - she was wobbly, weak, lethargic and getting worse quickly. Very scary. Murrieta Oaks got us in right away and without any emergency fee AND applied a $25 first time visit credit and that’s only the beginning!! Dr. Jeff Schmidt diagnosed her with such ease and without putting her thru anything more. I am soooo grateful and impressed - Emma is a happy 7y/o puppy again and she now has her very own PCP Dr. Jeff!! THANK YOU MURRIETA OAKS!!

Experiencia fantástica: I've been going here for the last few years. It was kinda shaky here and there. I have 2 French bulldogs, you kinda feel like you are sometimes being gouged. But I feel like now, I truly like the newer staff, Dr J. Schmidt. I really like him. He takes care of what needs to be done, and don't add any more. This last year's has gonna so much better with him and his staff. I shouldn't give him a great review, because he might get to popular and get hard to see. But this is really how I feel! The staff is great now too!

They offered great advice and resources and end up signing up for their wellness plan which is far better than anything out on the web. The staff were friendly, attentive and compassionate. Experiencia fantástica: We're from out of town and were in a high speed accident nearby yesterday. We were rear-ended and our dog, Whiskey, was in the back seat. Thankfully, we had a doggy seat belt for him, so he didn't get launched! The folks at Murrieta Oaks were able to get us in for an appointment the same day and reassure us that Whiskey was alright, just a bit bruised where his harness caught him and shaken up from the experience. They prescribed some trazodone to help him calm down and some carprofen for any pain and soreness. Everyone was very professional, compassionate, polite, and friendly. Thank you so much for making a very stressful day easier for us and our dog!

Experiencia negativa: They killed my dog and cremated her asap free of charge. Stay tuned for the real and raw story while I collect my thoughts about a rescued dog from an abused home named Moose and a compassionless vet that assured moose well be just fine under their care. .. Let me start from the beginning. One day I cleaned out the fridge and threw out expired food. Morning I seen the dog going through the trash, oh great. Day later I noticed stomach started swell thinking she looked like she wàs kinda preggo. Week later she was bigger. Week after that my wife took her on walks and reside somewhat. Week after comes back. She's searching online comes across this place and buys some paw plan or what it's called. She shows up and they refused to accept there own plan for whatever the deal was and told her she has to pay cash for exactly the same stuff that was paw plan and a 60$ for the office visit. And then gave her a ton of estimates for the variables all of course outrageous. She comes home she's crying and calling every body she knows to barrow money. 2 days later she returns against my advice because It came across they only care about money and humanity sounds awful thin there. She drops dog off for ultrasound 8am or so. They assured her everything was gonna be ok it's only fluid. 2 hours Fluid ... I remained silent and of course optimistic.. 4 hours later she's worried and calls, nobody knows nothing. Another hour she calls , they says it's been busy call later.2 more hours they said they'll call back. They call back your dog is happy and eating and she's ready to go. Had use restroom we are 28 miles from the place. As I'm in relief phone rings I hear her stutterin and then full tilt crying. I didn't even check to see if t.p was clean on first wipe pulled up my pants because I knew some was up from the get. She says she's dying and to she's drifting if u wanna see her alive you have to hurry. Im going with you babe. Im the car trans starting slipping bad and were dead. Babe back up to the curb (we were on an incline)she put both back tires to the curb. Parallel Babe get out. It took a great deal of finesse to get it back home. She's on the phone, I'm checking my wipe job she's crying, me excellent history of getting all the life one can out of a car and slash mechanic. Get in the car babe, but ,shhhhhut it get in. But look shut up we gonna get there I got this.i apologize to everyone on the freeway that day if any of you seen a dat'rk blue impala that seems to be driving wreck less, I barley got that thing up the onramp and got her going really good now knowing I don't have much transmission left I took every opportunity to not slow down and not to stop at signal lights. Get there, I waited out side for a sec as she walked in telling,e to be good if I come in. Funny they there was a staff awaiting our arrival out side and as I start to walk in, this is where things really got extremely questionable. I was escorted to the back and many staff was surrounded the dog and she barely had enough room to hold her as she played there. I was thinking how come these people won't let me in this thight barrier they form like linebackers. I could barley reach thru them to pet my dogs head and noticed she is heavily sedated and all that moves is her eyeballs.odd and even more odd is they're not letting me thru this barricade, I'm trying my best to be good and refrain from, saying anything. Im standing there cuz I can't really see my dog very well do thru the line backer barrier and notice the fabric she was laying on was very thin and noticed a faucet the noticed it was a sink and not a table and a metal grate on top this sink with the dog. I can notice looking down towards the drain and there slightly was flowing fluid, couldn't tell if blood or what it's dark due to the light peice of fabric, i can seem the light gleam reflecting from the flowing fluid though. I asked if they can give her some space [I wanna see what's up ya know]. They all of a sudden appeard to be deaf. I asked politely again. Will finish later in pics to follow.

They were not only able to see him right away, but fixed my baby! They were super friendly and professional! They also have completely reasonable prices. Experiencia fantástica: Wonderful experience! My family is new to the area and did not have a vet. Unfortunately, our dog ate my son's diaper and after calling around to numerous vets they were able to squeeze me in. I came in with my sweet pup and three kids. I was exhausted and stressed, but everyone was so kind and took care of my dog right away. After about 30 min we were good to go and one of the employees helped walk my dog out while I loaded my three kids into the car. I was even given a towel to put on my seat just in case my dog threw up again. While I am bummed that we had to go in, I am happy to now have a wonderful vet to go to. Also, the cost was very reasonable!

I have been without sleep and asked several questions and the staff didn’t mind having to answer (sometimes repeating because of the medication I would have to give the little one) but everyone seemed to be very interested in the care and wellness of my baby!

Great customer service, they go over everything with you, answer any questions you may have and are great with one's fur baby or babies. Experiencia negativa: Terrible! After 5 years , I am forever leaving this vet office. They are all about how much money to get from clients and will not contract with Costco or Chewy for medications. I do not recommend them and highly recommend ARK in Murrieta.

Experiencia fantástica: We are visiting from Wyoming and I have to say this was a great experience! I had a puppy who was vomiting from the trip. Not only did they get me in same day, I arrived early and was taken right back. The staff and Dr. Schmidt were friendly, professional, and truly cared about us as a "family". Also, this is an extremely efficient practice. You check out while in the exam room thus eliminating the wait and bottleneck at the front desk allowing the front to focus on incoming patients...very efficient!! I was very impressed!! The care at this vet is outstanding!! I highly recommend them!

The vet I’ve gone to for a couple of years is never able to accommodate quick appointments, they are usually 1-2 weeks out. That does not help when you cat has a nodule on her neck that has started to bleed. The doctor was attentive and caring. She took good care of my kitty. I will return.

You can definitely tell that everyone who works here loves what they do and cares for the animals. They recently cut her nails- an impossible feat for me- and they even invited us back to do it again, haha! The facility is clean and there are oftentimes kittens to view while we wait for our appointments, which is always a plus for me!
