Experiencia fantástica: We rescued a feral stray kitten outside in late December and after bringing her in our home for 2 weeks, we brought her to Crest Hill Animal Hospital. There was no long wait and both of the receptionists and Dr. Brandy were very helpful. Dr. Brandy was very gentle with our little kitten and the kitten responded and was extremely cooperative considering she is feral. She received her shots and Dr. Brandy handled everything very well. She also explained a lot to us. We were very happy with out visit and will be visiting again for the next steps in our little Peaches life.

I call to get an appointment bc my dog fell down the stairs and received an ‘awe poor thing!’ and even though they were booked that day, I received multiple phone calls checking in and doing whatever they could to get her in. They treat my bunnies like stars and give us constant updates on their health before, during an and after any appointment or procedure. Just take a look at my baby dumbo after his neuter, I couldn’t recommend any place else! I have also heard nothing but positive feedback from my sister and parents regarding dog and cat care!

Experiencia negativa: If I could give less than 1 star I would. I took my rat in for a uri seen by DR KELLY I wasn't a huge fan of the visit but I got my rat taken care and that's what I needed. The rat didn't get better so I requested a med switch to try and help. I was YELLED at by the vet, I tried being respectful and was still yelled at by a VET! Now I have been denied ANY meds cant even get the meds he was originally on. So now my animal is left to suffer, as I don't have the money for an emergency vet. Nurses were amazing but the DR. KELLY is ridiculous . As a vet you should not deny care for no reason. My animal is in distress and DR KELLY is refusing to care. Do not go to her unless you want to be yelled at over the phone. I a teenager was yelled at for trying to care for my pet! Absolutely Ridiculous

Experiencia positiva: Cooper and I have been going here for a few years now. They break down costs for you so you know before paying and are very open. They let me bring Cooper in when the main room is empty, and escort us out the back because he's a barker at other dogs. They even offer referral credits which is nice as well. We really love Dr Saubert and Dr Zeisemer. We didn't favor Dr Akasmit she seemed off putting and rude when we were there once. I also appreciate that they work with me on getting his major work done at Snip Society. I recommend.

I've had 12 rescues in 20 years 15 different vet clinics in three different states and their staff, their doctors, everything about it is a leader and should be the standard by which all other veterinary clinics would benefit from. Crest Hill animal hospital makes me feel heard, consulted, and cared for as my animals deserve. 5 Stars all around. Experiencia fantástica: I normally see Dr. Z but I saw Dr. Katie this time. She was also great in dealing with my cat, explaining everything, and helping to create a treatment plan moving forward. I felt that my concerns were heard, I didn't feel rushed, and I felt like she cared about my cat. I've been going to CH Animal Hospital for about 25 years with six different cats and I wouldn't consider going elsewhere. The nursing and administrative staff also deserve a shout out for being so positive and welcoming.

Every visit goes smoothly, all the nurses and techs are thoughtful with their questions and the doctors are informative and take the time to break down what’s going on medically to explain things in a way I understand and can better help my cat. I never felt rushed or pressured by staff. Their clinic is bright, clean, and takes an extra step to be mindful during end of life situations (there is a simple, yet beautiful sign on the front desk that lights up when these situations are going on to communicate to other patients and staff when extra care is needed).

Experiencia fantástica: This is Bob Marley high as a kite with the coffee table holding his head up! ‍ See once a year Bob Marley has to get sedated for his basic vet wellness visit- after years of trauma being used as Bait dog and then 7 surgeries in 3 weeks when I “accidentally resuced him” - to repair all of his damages- he is a “little” reactive at the vet. Shocker! So we do what is best for Bob and he takes a little nap while he gets examined, nails trimmed and blood taken. I am posting this because I can never thank Dr. Brandy and the entire staff at Crest Hill Animal Hospital enough for all the love, wisdom and care for Bob Marley then and now! For almost 8 years now your patients and understanding to his high maintenance needs, the wisdom you always share and the love you pour on him when he is there(even loving on him, petting him non stop and talking to him while sedated )! I sooooo appreciate you! ❤️ I have experience with all of the staff and many of the doctors. If you need a vet … this should be your go to!! Ps: Bob Marley is in perfect health! Slowing down in his old age yet absolutely THRIVING!

Whereas before I received comments of “normal dog anatomy” or here are some anti-inflammatories at my previous vet, here I received actual answers the first day we went and a plan to move forward in a way that worked best for my dog and not for a symptom. I cannot recommend enough. They also answered my call the first time and didn’t immediately put me on hold which became a regular thing at my previous vet office. Dr. Z was so knowledgeable and confident in her information she was relaying to me and it gave me so much assurance in what was actually going on with my dog. Thank you guys for caring!

From the minute, my hound walked in from the minute he left his tail was wagging, and everything got done with no trauma or anxiety from him. We were there for an hour, and my payment was affordable. I’ve been bringing my fur babies to them for 34 years.

Experiencia fantástica: We have been taking our pups there for years. The staff is friendly and do their best to accommodate if we need a visit sooner. The assistants are great, they take down all the information for the doctor. The doctors are wonderful. They listen to us and frequently go above the complaint. Everyone knows that dog care is expensive. The doctor gives a run down of what needs to be done and gives the price of each. The doctors are very understanding, and will tell us which items don’t need to be done at that time, reducing the price. We have been taking our pups to them for years and will continue.

Experiencia fantástica: We have brought our two dogs here for the last 4 years. I find the staff to be excellent and I have not had an issue with any of the doctors. We found out that our Meskis had lymphoma. We did the one test, and decided that we would take him home to live out his days being loved and spoiled. The day we had to bring him in was very difficult. When we got there, a room was ready with a blanket on the table and a box of tissues. This was the first time we met Dr. Bray. He apologized for having to meet us under these circumstances. He was wonderful, told us that our decisions were the right ones, explained what he was going to do. It was a brutal thing to go through. A week later we received a sympathy card with Meskis' foot print. What impressed me was that all the staff signed it. How thoughtful and how personal. 2 weeks later we brought our other dog in for an ear infection and shots. Dr. Bray again. He was great, explained why he pushes heartworm treatment for dogs. He showed me the infection in Muses ear. They do give you the medicine without giving up front prices, but as a pet owner, it is also my job to ask questions. This is my go to place for my dog and any in the future. I love that they send out e-mails and cards and reminders. Fabulous care.

She and all of the staff are amazingly empathic. The fact that I've seen the same people there for so many years says a lot about the facility and it's been such a comfort to me to walk in a see familiar faces.

Experiencia negativa: I have to edit my 5 star review. After my experience with a new pup and my older pup this last year I am disappointed. Response time is poor even if you have a small problem such as a UTI which is easily taken care of until tests can be run. Understand that this clinic is a wellness clinic so if you have any immediate concerns they are not able to respond or accommodate your pet even it’s as small as a UTI. I recently had to take my pup for emergency care at VCA in Aurora and my experience there was so much more positive. The immediate and after care my dog received at VCA in Aurora was above and beyond. Two weeks later I am still in contact and they are there to offer advice. I have a puppy paw plan thru Crest Hill Animal Hospital and would strongly suggest against it unless you truly have 100% confidence in this clinic. You know your pet, they should listen. Do not get pushed into buying anything from them you can get elsewhere including prescriptions drugs, food, wipes, probiotics. All those items are marked up twice the amount you can get them at your pharmacy or at Petco. I am hoping that they can change my mind since I will be with them for the remainder of my paw plan for my pup.’ I was informed at one point by an employee that answered the phone that Crest Hill Animal Hospital expects so much from their veterinarians that they just cannot be inundated by much more. If that is the case I’m very concerned about the care my pet will receive in the future. Recently tried to order heartworm meds and was told since I was three months out from my dogs next heart worm test I could not order 6 months worth which of course is the cheapest option. I have taken my dog there every year for a heart worm test and vaccinations for 6 years. Why would they not trust me. My own primary care doctor for myself would. This is a dog and I could get better care myself through my doctor. I told them I would just wait and not give her the heartworm meds and they did not care.

Bridget, Amy, and Dr Katie all went above and beyond for me and my senior dog Joanie, who has a whole host of very complex problems. Plus, she has a big attitude and can be hard to handle. They treated her with expert hands and kind hearts. Moving across the country, away from the vet we have been with Joanie’s whole life, has been difficult. I feel like Crest Hill is a bit of a miraculous place for us and I am grateful.

Experiencia fantástica: We had to get our cat Max oral surgery. We were nervous about the outcome but Max did great. Had to have all 29 teeth pulled. Left one good tooth. The staff and Dr. Katie were very nice and supportive. Max came home and you wouldn't know that he has no teeth.

The bunny fully recovered after the surgery and the team was kind and helpful throughout it all! My bunny went from aggressively going after my cat to a calm friendly bunny. Experiencia negativa: So I just moved to Crest Hill not long ago and I needed a vet because I bought a puppy so my sister told me there's a good vet on Canton farm Road in Crest Hill so I googled that in Crest Hill and got cresthill animal hospital I didn't see the hospital part but I figured okay how many vets could be in Crest Hill so I called them up they wanted a $50 deposit to book an appointment which was fine they were great people they took good care of me and they were really nice and I'm going back.,But this place the animal hospital is a whole different story . When I got to the vet I told them who I was and had an appointment they said we can't find you in our system maybe it's at the hospital You made the appointment I said the hospital I didn't know about any hospital So I said you want to call them and let them know so they don't think I'm blowing them off and then I said Do you think I'll get my $50 deposit back and she said yeah probably they'll probably give to you back I'll have to talk to the doctor So I get a text message from the hospital saying they're not going to refund my $50 because I didn't show up or I didn't call for the appointment bullshit I showed up at the wrong place that's all which is an easy mistake considering I googled Crest Hill vet and the first one that came up was the one I called. And now they look at it again it says Crystal hospital. Simple mistake no reason to not refund my $50 deposit because I could have got stuff done there if I needed surgeries or something but I won't go there ever again. Buyer beware they told me they'll put a note into the manager to call me and I told him I'm going to leave a nasty review on your hospital if you don't refund my money and here we are. They don't care much I guess.

Experiencia negativa: What a wonderful experience with Lori. She is a a top notch groomer and an extremely likable person. She exceeded my expectations with the manner in which she handled and groomed my dog. Right from the start, I can tell Lori has a passion for pets and for people. I wish I can say the same about the front desk and the doctor I spoke with. Both have left an everlasting negative impression on me. This occurred with both of my dogs. They have either lost, missed filed or discarded my paperwork documenting vaccination records. The first time I was forgiving, believing this to be an isolated occurrence. It took them a week and a half to resolve the first issue. The second time wasn’t as bad. It was worse. After a month and a half of emailing, calling and personally speaking with their doctor who was just as confused because of the front desk providing her with incorrect details about this issue, I decided that this incident was not worth the time and energy already spent. The best part of my last conversation with the front desk team member Vanessa, is when she personally suggested that I consider closing my account since I am so unhappy. I’ve never felt so insulted. Perhaps Vanessa or whoever is responsible, you should invest on a ruler and a highlighter or maybe even a prescription for reading glasses to help you see what I’m seeing (your requirements) on the documents I’ve sent attached to 6 different emails. Totally unprofessional. I closed my account as suggested. Thank you Vanessa! You solved my problem!! Lori, if you’re reading this, you are in my mind, the very best groomer thus far. The score has no bearing whatsoever with the level of service and kindness you provide. It’s unfortunate that this lack of care impacts you as well. Great first impression with you, but not the medical team which in my mind, is most important.

Dr. Brandy is honest, never tries to pad her bill by ordering unnecessary tests and her ability to connect with my furbabies is amazing! I recently had to have a very extensive surgery on one of my dogs and she explained the entire procedure to me and answered every question I had. The staff is also the best I've ever worked with. They are kind, compassionate and patient! My furbabies and I love them all!

Experiencia fantástica: Everyone I have encountered at Crest Hill animal hospital is beyond kind, caring, respectful and helpful. Having to change docs with a 15 year old dog was not what I had in mind but they have made the transition a pleasant experience and have welcomed my crochety senior dog with open arms. Keep doing what you’re doing you are all amazing!!!!

Experiencia positiva: Edit: I'm happy to say that since posting my review, the doctor I mentioned did have her AAFP certification either reinstated or renewed. I still find my initial information important, so I will leave it. I used to bring my cat and childhood dog here, and I had absolutely no issues for the longest time. However I did start having some iffy experiences recently with my cat, and I no longer feel as confident bringing my cats here. There's an "AAFP certified" vet here that does not show up on the AAFP registry (WHICH has been rectified as of editing 6/19/24) and my cat wasn't treated with the respect you would expect. Experiencia fantástica: I took my senior dog in yesterday for a quick nail trim. And I mean quick!! We sat for maybe 2 minutes then she was taken in back for her "pedicure" her tech called it. Chloe does not like to have her feet touched. I muzzled my chiweenie for her safety. She had her done and back in my arms in less than 10 minutes. Chloe was a happy girl the whole way home. The staff are always warm, welcoming, and friendly and treat you like you've been friends for years. The doctors are fantastic, thorough, and make sure that you understand everything you need to go to continue to keep your furry loved ones happy and healthy.

Experiencia fantástica: I don’t know what I would do if this place every closes down! Everyone that works there from the front desk to the drs are amazing. Any question you have they don’t make you feel like it’s a dumb question and the care is beyond words. My dog has anxiety and the dr sits with him on the floor and tries to relax him instead of making the situation worse. The patience and love they put into their works is out of this world.
