Experiencia fantástica: I discovered this vet by chance, and I’m glad I did. The staff is very friendly and genuinely listens to you. The best part is they treat my dog so well that she looks forward to visiting the vet. Prices are comparable to other practices, and appointments are quick.

Experiencia fantástica: They went above and beyond anything I expected!! Most vets could really care less about your animals to them it's just a paycheck, but THAT IS DEFINITELY NOT THE CASE HERE!! I can't express how thankful we are to found this vet!! A different vet did a major surgery and didn't put sufficient stitches in place. Needless to say the almost 4" long wound came wide open and had to be restitched up(PROPERLY)! This not only took her in immediately and restiched her up extremely well, they also clipped her nails for us while she was sedated! We didn't even ask them to it, but they could see it needed to be done, and we were glad they did too!! She hates for us to even touch her paws, so it is huge ordeal to clip her nails! They also did not charge us anything for doing it, which was also a nice surprise!! It's also the first time a vet has ever done something and not charged us for it!! They also did a heartworm test for $39! They gave us the option to purchase heartworm/fea prevention from them or finding somewhere else that had a better price and they said we could either take a written prescription or they would send a prescription for the medication to the place of our choice, and they do NOT charge anything for writing the prescription or sending it!! This is also something else most vets in this area refuse to do, because they want you to purchase the medication from them, so they can make even more money!!

Experiencia fantástica: Friendly staff. Techs that listen. Even when emergencies were happing the Vet was kind, patient, and took the time to go through my questions and concerns. Price was cheaper than quoted ans we received a free month of Flea, tick, & worm prevention.

While there were some cheaper "low-cost" options, we still felt better about coming here. It was highly recommended by a few people. They seem to stay busy, which is a great thing to see, in my opinion. Still, they were able to not only get us in for our new client exam quickly, but they also scheduled her spay that same week. That worked out perfectly for us. Everyone answered our questions with patience and helped us along the way. They even called a couple times to check on our kitty afterwards. I've already been recommending them to several people. Very happy with our experiences here and will definitely return if a need comes up. For us, the price point was great and well worth it! They took great care of us.

Experiencia negativa: Steer clear of this veterinary clinic—especially in an emergency. We brought our 11-month-old rescue puppy, Reagan, to Chachere Vet Clinic for an emergency visit. The clinic was made aware from the beginning that this was urgent. We had hoped to see the owner, Dr. Luke, but instead were assigned to Dr. Brody. The care provided was minimal: IV fluids, a B-vitamin (B1), and a famotidine injection. Dr. Brody noted that Reagan’s colon appeared abnormal but stated this was not unusual following recent exploratory abdominal surgery, which had been performed at a different clinic. The cost of this visit was approximately $700. After the appointment was completed and paid for, as my mother was leaving the clinic, Reagan collapsed in the lobby and urinated on herself. One front-desk staff member immediately helped—she was the only person who showed urgency or concern. My mother repeatedly asked for Dr. Brody but was told he was with another patient. Reagan was taken into an exam room, where her condition continued to decline rapidly. While in that room, my mother clearly heard clinic staff notify Dr. Brody—who was in an adjacent room—about Reagan collapsing in the lobby and her worsening condition. Despite being made aware of the situation, Dr. Brody did not come to assess Reagan, nor did he ask another veterinarian or technician to monitor her condition until he was available. For over 10 minutes, no veterinarian and no veterinary technician came to check on Reagan. When my mother again asked for help, she was spoken to rudely and told—again—that the doctor was still with another patient. Despite repeated requests and visible medical distress, no alternative care, escalation, or support was offered. With Reagan continuing to decline and no response from the clinic, my mother made the decision to leave and attempt to get her to an emergency animal hospital on her own. Reagan had aspirated, which caused her collapse in the lobby. She passed away less than 24 hours later. The following day, Dr. Brody called for an update and reached me, Reagan’s owner’s daughter. During that call, he stated that no staff member had alerted him to Reagan’s collapse or condition while she was in the clinic. This statement is false. My mother personally heard staff notify him in real time. I expressed my concerns regarding both the lack of emergency response and the misrepresentation of what occurred. Dr. Brody ultimately acknowledged that the situation was not handled properly and did apologize. The takeaway: if your pet requires true emergency or critical care, do not bring them here. The lack of urgency, follow-through, and accountability contributed to the loss of an 11-month-old puppy who needed immediate intervention.

Experiencia negativa: I had heard this vet was amazing, I will never go back. My puppy collapsed in their lobby and Dr. Brody was informed and never came to check on her. I could hear him and the very rude vet tech talking about me in the hallway. My puppy died 24 hours later.

Experiencia negativa: I would NOT take my dead animal here because of the staff answering the phones. The things they say to your potential customers is not very professional. You have to trust your vet with your loved animal and the frontline person sets the tone.

Experiencia fantástica: The receptionist was very concerned about my dogs condition and squeezed her in the same day knowing they were busy. The vet was very attentive and very honest. My dog needed emergency surgery so he took her in immediately. I’m sure he was busy as there were other people there but he knew my girl needed her tumor removed asap. They took great care of my dog and kept me updated throughout the process. I will definitely keep taking my pets here.

Experiencia negativa: We've been taking all our animals to Chachere for several years now, and we've recently decided to start our search for a different Vet. Here's why: 1.) Awhile back, they raised their pricing. I believe most folks pay hasn't gone up since before Covid. 2.) Our 4-1/2 year old dog needs his teeth cleaned. (Chachere cleaned them less than 2 years ago) I had stopped by there a couple weeks ago and asked if he could get his shots updated when we bring him in for a teeth cleaning. The lady said she saw no problem doing this. My wife called to set up his teeth cleaning and shots and she was told they now would have to be scheduled separately. Which means an additional office visit they charge us. (An office visit is now close to, or is $50). In addition, we would have to bring him in to make sure he doesn't have any infections in his teeth, and then schedule a teeth cleaning...which means another office visit we have to pay. Then pay over $300 for our little Jack Russell's teeth cleaning. Checking for any infection could easily be determined the day of the scheduled cleaning. That process would take less than 5 minutes. And then, my wife took him in to get his nails trimmed like we've done with our last 4 dogs over the last several years there. A Vet tech handles these duties and used to cost $11-$15. NOW...you have to have an appointment and the cost is $25! One last thing, they partner with a cremation company now that recently charged us $50 for a simple nose print of our pup on a simple sheet of paper! I'd guess 5 cents in ink and perhaps a 50 cent sheet of paper. Just over a couple years ago they made this change from another company that was much more reasonable, from our experience from having another pup we had cremated. The former company was perfectly fine. Definitely no $50 nose prints. My thoughts are, is the newer company gives Chachere a kickback to offer their services, exclusively. It just seems it's all about the money for Chachere, anymore! It seems like they're not a small town, country Vet anymore.

We will always get the help we need for our animals but the vet techs that come in will explain the pricing that your animal needs so if you do not want to pay the extra to get your pets healthy again you will not be forced to do so. In the end we chose not to do bloodwork. With a plan to return if she continues to lose weight after the treatment. Excellent customer service from the front desk staff, vet tech, and vet.

They made an unimaginably difficult process as peaceful and dignified as possible for both my pup and me. I am eternally grateful for their kindness during such a painful time.

Experiencia negativa: Don't come here if you have a cat. The first thing that alerted me was the attitude and look on the vet's face when I brought my cat in. It's clear he's not a cat lover and absolutely refused to give antibiotics for an infection that ended up killing my cat.. Did she have cancer? It was a good possibility but did she deserve to live and die like this? Absolutely not! I asked for a Rx of antibiotics and pain meds to help until I get her the surgery she needed, he flat out said no. She still had a chance after the surgery but she didn't get to have that chance because of this vet. He said it wouldn't help and that's absolutely wrong. I work in the medical field, and anytime we have a patient that's sepsis, they get the meds they need. Whether they have cancer, hep or whatever else. We don't ever tell them they will just have to suffer an agonizing pain until they die or until they get surgery. We help them. You should be ashamed.

Dr Lucas and his team are amazing. The clinic and rooms are clean, pleasant atmosphere and hardly any wait time from our appointment time. They are easy to get in and out of and a great experience. Dealing with new kitten issues are not fun and ones I have never encountered with our other cat, however, Dr Lucus and his team have done a great job in explaining and conversing with us on the issues at hand taking the time to ensure we understood, answering all our questions and giving us peace. I even called the clinic to ask other questions and they have always returned my calls the same day within a couple of hours. If you are looking for a new vet or like us have acquired a new pet, you will need a great vet for them and this is a great place to keep them and you happy.

Experiencia fantástica: I will be brief. Moved from Dallas/frisco where took cats to cat specialist only, moved to Dayton and was informed of cat specialist in the woodlands. Been going there and other location for a while, tremendously expensive, but cat kids worth it and cost not issue, but had to look for alternative closer to Dayton due to over hour drive cat no like drive... I tried this location to clip nails and get idea to determine if good... and was amazed of its size, clean, professional, and knowledge on every question... this is our future long term care for our cats.... i am still amazed on how they operate on the inside and how inside looks based on seeing from outside.

Not yet? Not til we get on our street? Let me know when. I’ll just sit here in my bucket and look at you. Now? No? Let me know. That was fun. I love Dr. Luke. And that girl. She’s nice, too. Chachere helped us fix the issue and since then they’ve had all our business. From calves to cats and dogs, we don’t take our 4 legged family anywhere else!

For our family, over several decades, the Chachere Vet Clinic has been there to help us with everything that comes with having cats and dogs of all ages and breeds, rescues and other, injured, newborn to elderly, and everything in between. They have a very nice grassy area off the side of their parking lot. Big Bonus! The drawbacks were; the vet was not very friendly, not mean, just not very friendly; they are always expensive. Experiencia negativa: I will never step foot in this place again. They gave my dog the wrong prescription and it was four times stronger than what she took and would have killed her. Had I not checked the numbers on the pills just to be safe.. The receptionist who filled the prescription said “I’m sorry you can come pick up the right prescription”;because yes that’s so handy to drive another 30 minutes out there and back just to go get a prescription that they messed up on. That’s the apology I get for something that would’ve killed my dog had a given it to her.. Do better..

They are very understanding and don’t push or hype up situations to sell medications or services. I called another animal poison control and they wanted $95. Chachere advised giving 10 cc hydrogen peroxide and watched for him to vomit. THANK YOU

The care they provide is outstanding and it’s an added bonus that they are not as expensive as some. When you have more than one pet, cost can become an issue. They are very fairly priced and provide QUALITY affordable care.

My pet Pooka, recently was bit by another dog. The staff in the front were friendly and accommodating. The vetinarians inside were quick and knew what to do almost immediately. Dr. Anthony was so knowledgeable and recommended the best care to get Pooka back to 100% So thankful and grateful for this clinic.

Experiencia fantástica: I thought my fur baby was having a stroke and our regular vet in Crosby would not see her. I walked in to Chachere asking for help. The front desk staff was amazing and got her in right away. I had another recent scare and when I called,she was see within an hour of my call. This is now our new vet!

Experiencia fantástica: We had an aged pet that was beginning to have more bad times than good times. The folks at Chachere were very sympathetic and kind. We had our dog euthanized there. We had a pleasant (if you can say that) experience there and was presented a kind gift of her paw print. I believe they would handle all your pet needs in the same thoughtful, careful way.

Experiencia fantástica: Great vet. Highly recommend. All the people there are very friendly. The Dr's are knowledgeable and explain the treatments they are doing for my dog. Check them out. Also would like to thank them for making the difficult process of having my last dog put down. They sent a condolence card shortly after that and all the staff signed it. Thank you to all the staff.
