During the recent winter storm, one of my dogs had a medical emergency and Pleasant Valley was the only open clinic I could find in town. They were able to fit us in for a same-day appointment. Unfortunately, we had to put my sweet girl down. Everyone at this clinic was incredibly kind, compassionate and respectful throughout the whole process. Everything was handled with the utmost professionalism and empathy. The few phones calls and interactions since my girl has passed have also been very thoughtful and kind. I just can't say enough good things about this clinic and the way they treated both me and, more importantly, my sweet Reese. Thank you to everyone who works here for the compassion you show animals and their humans

Experiencia negativa: Will not be returning. I called about an incident with my dog. He had snatched my melatonin bottle off my side table when I was not home and ate a bunch of them containing a toxic chemical to dogs (xylitol). When I called in a frantic to get him seen, or even advice I was given a poison control phone number and told to tell them what they said in order to proceed with my dog. This number proceeded to cost 80$ with a 20 minute wait. I hung up the call and proceeded to call another vet close to home who IMMEDIATELY gave me steps to take and got him in as soon as possible to check his levels and sent him home with medications on the way out. As a vet, you should know the next steps to this issue!! I shouldn’t have to pay 80$ for a phone call to tell you how to do your job!

Experiencia positiva: The receptionist was very prompt and courteous when I scheduled the appointment. She was also very kind when I brought my cats on the day. The doctor caring for us treated my cats very gently. However, the nurse didn't listen well—it was hard to catch what she was saying because she spoke so quickly and loudly, which slightly frightened my fur babies.

Experiencia fantástica: My husband and I have been bringing our pets to Pleasant Valley Veterinary Clinic since 1981, 42 years! To keep returning to the same clinic means we appreciate the professional care that our pets are receiving. Though we board only once or twice a year, we appreciate that PVVC has a boarding facility for dogs and cats where they are well looked after. We also appreciate the comfortable and private room for the final goodbye when that service becomes necessary. We have a new puppy which is our first one in ten years. We took our 11 week old Chihuahua puppy into the clinic for her first exam and puppy shots. I thought they would see what I see whenever I look into her sweet face and dark soulful eyes, but all they saw was her unusual coloring, fawn and gray. They did listen to me as I was worried about exposing her to canine influenza, parvo, and distemper while at the clinic. They also listened when I was worried about flea and tick meds causing a health concern as it did with my last Chihuahua. Pleasant Valley Veterinary Clinic is in Little Rock, and we live near Sherwood so it takes 30-35 minutes to get there from our home. I would like them to form a liaison with a vet in North Little Rock so I could take our annual shot records to them to get our NLR dog tags.

Experiencia fantástica: I needed to find a new vet clinc that was open on Saturdays and I randomly chose Pleasant Valley Veterinary Clinic. I am glad I did! Dr. Phillips and her staff were incredibly gracious and treated me with the utmost kindness. They gave me a itemized list of charges and worked with me on options to lower my bill. She emailed me the bloodwork results with a kind message. These are things I never received with my prior vet. Highly recommend. Go for it.

Experiencia negativa: The lady at the front desk Kylie has been rude to my wife in the past and she was rude to me this morning. They are supposed to email the forms before we come in so that we do not have to fill them out when we get there. I am 100% disabled veteran and encourage any other veterans to not go here. Dr. Kunce is an amazing Doctor but Kylie at the desk is not worth going here. Go to Doctor Barron at shackleford veterinary where the front desk treats you like family.

My 15-year-old fur baby Chloe and I have been coming here since we moved to Pleasant Forest two years ago, and I couldn’t be happier with their care. Last year, Chloe was close to dying, and Dr. Cabe did everything she could to help her recover. They even saw her every day for nearly a week until she finally began to improve. This week, Chloe faced new health issues, but thanks to Dr. Sadler, she’s already acting like herself again. I want to sincerely thank them both for their compassion and the outstanding care they’ve shown my fur baby.

Experiencia fantástica: I can’t recommend Pleasant Valley Veterinary Clinic enough. Dr. Crabtrey and her assistant Aubrey were fantastic, so kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable. Unlike experiences I’ve had elsewhere, they were not at all biased against exotic pets and treated my pet with the same level of care and respect as they would any other animal. They were also very considerate about staying within my budget when I asked, which I really appreciated. If you’re looking for a clinic that genuinely cares and goes above and beyond, this is the place to go!

I’ve had several instances where my pets needed immediate help and they have always accommodated me. I just can’t say enough about this place. I would leave 500 stars if I could.

I called the PVVC on a Friday afternoon and they were completely booked but after hearing my pups issues said to bring him in and they would find time for a Dr to see him. We’ve been using PVVC for just a few years and I cannot say enough good things about the clinic. Great staff and doctors.

I didn't hear a peep from her even with needles that were used. If you hadn't been open I don't know what I would have done. Thank you. By the way the swelling is almost gone

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve seen every vet at least once, all of them were phenomenal. My dog gets nervous during appointments, but the vets will always sit on the ground and wait till she calms down. Everything is reasonably priced. They never recommend medication or treatment unless it’s necessary. They also explain every option with pros and cons of each. The rest of the staff is kind and helpful. They respond quickly to emails and voicemails. My dog is on prescription dog food, so I have to send a request for every new bag. The office responds to requests for a new order within 24 hours, so I never have to wait long for her food to be approved. This office is one of the best vet’s offices I’ve been to and I highly recommend them.

Experiencia fantástica: Our dog swallowed a treble hook. We took her to vet in sherwood but they could not work her in to their surgery team but gave 2 other vets to take her to. Trying to follow directions but could not find 1 of the vet clinics. So happen to find Pleasant Valley went in to ask for directions but they said they could help her and did. They got hook out of her mouth it was attached to back of tongue & tonsils. Our dog don't like to ride in cars but she was happy to take a ride to vet. We are so thankful for them being willing to help her. I would recommend them to anyone who needs vet services. The employees were all very helpful & truly concerned about taking care of our dog. Thanks a million.

He needed to be checked out so that I could give him a loving home with a quality life. The staff at the clinic were very caring and attentive to him. They take your calls, have a great text system, and get back to you in a timely manner. My cat suffers from a dermatological condition and Dr. Cabe found the perfect treatment . Also, a big shout out to techs: Laken and Samuel. Laken is skilled at working with frightened or aggressive cats. Brent at the front desk is wonderful, too! I can’t thank all of the staff enough for the kindness and knowledge they offer to us Pet Parents.. Very highly recommend this clinic!!

The front office staff & kennel staff are the HAPPIEST & loving group of caregivers EVER; texting me when a doc needs to talk to me about my furball or reminding me of upcoming procedure. I’ve used this vet clinic since it was a one man show 20 years ago & they have grown & bloomed with the demand to help make each visit as timely and as pain-free for both me & my fur babies.

Experiencia fantástica: Lived in Arkansas for several years and struggled to find a reputable vet. After months of trying to find answers for my sick dog, I felt taken advantage of. My dog was only getting worse, adding stress and trauma to our dog and family. While waiting for our appointment to see a specialist, my poor furbaby fell really ill, in the verge of passing, so we rushed her to yet another visit to the local emergency vet. Once we arrived, we learned that the doors were locked due to high volume of animals. I called the last 2 vets we visited to see if they could take her in on short notice and unfortunately they both told me they couldn’t. At a complete loss, I called the closest vet to where I was and spoke to a really nice lady by the name of Laken (sorry for incorrect spelling) who after hearing my plea, made it happen and was able to be seen within the hour of calling. Unfortunately we had to make the incredibly difficult decision to send our sweet baby Ariel (aka Larry) over the rainbow bridge. Tech Kylie and Dr. Lowery were amazing! This isn’t our first time having to put a dog to rest and the quality of service and more importantly, the care is above and beyond my past experiences and expectations. Through this was a heartbreaking experience, it did bring some light… we found our forever vet go forward ❤️ thank you!

Experiencia negativa: They denied my cat care! She is having liver issues which Koonce misdiagnosed 5 yrs ago on my other cat. I called to see why they won't help her and 2 wks later they left a message on my vm about a bad review being the cause. My freedom of speech is now killing my cat they state.

Experiencia fantástica: My husband and I’ve Pleasant Valley. They are always happy to answer any questions and keep us apprised of any significant changes during the yearly wellness checkups. We would not take our cats anywhere else.

Experiencia negativa: They aggressively try to sell you unnecessary things. They convinced me to get blood tests for my healthy cats and they messed up the tests four times in a row, only to find there was nothing wrong with my cat after all. The whole process took about a month, cost hundreds of dollars, and I was stressed the whole time thinking my cat was sick. Thankfully he was fine, but after this ordeal, I will be switching to a different vet. The employees here are nice and sweet to my cats, but I can’t trust their recommendations or care anymore.

I originally started going to them because my previous vet wasn’t able to see one of my sick dogs in a timely manner. Have been going to them ever since. They saved one of my dogs by diagnosing and treating IMHA. We are extremely grateful. I think I’ve seen almost every vet there for one reason or another and I’ve been happy with all of them.

After calling at least 4 other vets (including our own) Pleasant Valley took him and completed the surgery. We were so impressed with them we switched vets! We ended up keeping the dog of course :)

Experiencia fantástica: Evidently my sweet Simba was a little crazy last Saturday (my son took him) when he went for his vaccinations and checkup. He’s almost seven! We’ve used PVVC since the early 90’s. Through five dogs (including Simba) we’ve always been pleased with the care our pets have received there.

All of the techs are amazing too, and always so kind and patient with both my dog and me (and he acts like a fool in there). The front office staff is incredible; it’s a busy clinic, but they are always so patient and kind, even when they are slammed. Whomever handles operations is a genius; my dog and I never spend a long time waiting to be called back, or see the Vet, and they do checkout in your exam room at the end of the visit—it is SO efficient and convenient! I highly recommend them!

Experiencia fantástica: Had a great experience establishing care for my boy. He was very nervous but all staff were very sweet, understanding, and patient with him. They did an excellent job of respecting his boundaries and even identifying why he was responding the way he was. They reassured me that his responses were okay and it wasn't because I had done anything wrong, that they were pretty normal in an unfamiliar environment. I really appreciated everything they did, both for me and for my pup, and I'm excited to have a new vet for his future needs!

Experiencia fantástica: The staff at pleasant valley was friendly, thorough and welcoming from making the initial appointment on the phone to actually seeing the vet. They addressed my concerns and discussed options for treatment while taking the time to educate me on why we would do them. They started small and sent me an estimate for further treatment that may be needed. Overall excellent experience!
