Dr. Kelly was fantastic, listened to what had happened, assessed our girl and talked through all of our options being super considerate of our budget as well as realistic about the most significant wound she had. I also work in the field as a tech and previous management- I can certainly say the team present last night was very professional, proficient and knowledgeable. CSRs were personable and kept the front end clean. Amongst the surge of pets coming in the techs also kept the lobby well informed. This team truly cares and I am grateful they were able to help us out last night while we were traveling! Thank yall!

The Dr's were caring and soothing and very knowledgeable. I do believe the cost should be lessened, on many of the things that they provide.$6,000.00 since November has been a hardship on me. Nothing I would not do for my furbabies. So many offices in the veterinary system take advantage of us furparents. Honestly its not fair. I just wish there was a better pricing system in the areas of needs for our animals. I am thankful for all my babies needs met and for the hearts behind it. God gave them the heart and knowledge to help the animal kingdom and each person we came in contact with at this facility were professional and caring. Thank you,Robin C

Experiencia fantástica: If you are looking for a place to go, don’t look any further, come here. We were having a medical emergency with our baby Schnauzer and they met us at the door. Our check in was so easy and their prices are very reasonable. Our baby is 15 years old and is fully blind. They stayed with her the entire time. When one would leave another would stay with her so she wouldn’t be to overwhelmed with fear. They were very thorough in checking her out and keeping her overnight. We can’t thank Dr Kelly and all the medical staff. Front desk staff too!

Experiencia fantástica: This is a great animal hospital for emergency care or specialty care for animals. I've used their services over the years for several of my pets. They are very caring and knowledgeable in many different situations. I highly recommend them.

Experiencia fantástica: Arrived with a pet emergency (was told to reach out to them from our own vet). I called ahead to ask questions but we all knew we needed to go there. I called again to let them know we were arriving. They came out swiftly to retrieve my pet. I sat to fill out paperwork. The front desk staff were very understanding and great listeners. The staff helping my pet came out to bring me back as he was not going to make it. Through my blubbering, ugly crying hot mess, the staff was so kind. Trying to tend to me but also my pet. My pet passed, despite all efforts to save him. Every staff person was so kind, offering condolences. Some of the staff even shed a tear and offered hugs. Although the outcome was not what we hoped for, the staff was exceptional. Never have I felt as taken care of as a human there before that day. Dr. Clementson and staff on January 8th around 4pm were top notch. Thank you for the follow-up email. And I don't know if I said it at all or enough: thank y'all so much. Dr. Clementson, you and your staff (from you to vet techs to front desk) were wonderful and my family and I want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We know you tried so hard to help my boy, Sarge, but it was just his time. Thank you for all you did to try - please don't forget that you are amazing - and thank you for all of those that you will help in the future ❤️

Experiencia negativa: Absolutely terrible experience. Brought my dog in who had a STROKE (confirmed by cvets) and was accused the entire time of having marijuana in my home which I DO NOT. Then all tests were clear for that yet they were still harping on it, refusing to help my dog. Just because you work in a horrible area, doesn't mean everyone is on drugs! You're one of 2 24 hour vets in the city so there isn't much choice. My dog is still suffering and I have no help because of your abhorrent staff!!

Experiencia fantástica: I had a phone consultation with Dr Ross regarding my cat’s cancer. We discussed her history, medications, treatment options, and her prognosis. While I received some bad news, it was good to learn what I should and shouldn’t be doing with her, now and in the future. For those of us that live a long distance away, or have sick pets that don’t travel well, the phone consultations are a wonderful service.

Experiencia negativa: They only care about money here, my baby was hit by a car, I rushed her in at 2am and from the time I walked in until the time I picked her up their only concern was money. They did no X-rays, no test. They never told me what was wrong with her after 1400.00. then when I didn't have an additional 194.00 they took her pain meds away and just sent her home saying she was fine. She isn't fine though and I still don't know what's wrong with her. They wanted 4000.00 for 2 days, which is difficult to do, but I assure them I could have it paid within a week. They did not care. It appears that my baby has a brain injury but I don't know, nor do I know if she has any broken bones or internal bleeding. She crys constantly, pees on herself, can't walk and can barely lift her head. But they said she was fine..

We were concerned about him seeing a different doctor because he has megaesphagus disorder requiring, in our minds, gentle care and expertise. Dr Kolb was OUTSTANDING! Compassionate, knowledgeable and listened to me also. I could not be more pleased with the care we received from all of the staff who were warm and helpful, even on Christmas Day when they would likely rather have been with their families. A++

Experiencia fantástica: Very expensive, but they found my dog 's colorectal mass when the local vets here thought I was being overly dramatic. Now, I know what my baby and I are fighting. Did send home early so I had to bring him back twice for hemmoraging, but they found the problem and fixed it.

Experiencia fantástica: Tiana Jane, Big Mama, our 2 yrs old black lab puppy, decided she wanted to climb up on the Guest Bedroom dresser and play with a bottle of aspirin. Chewed up the bottle and chomped down only God knows how many highly toxic aspirin. Being the sharing puppy that she is, she decided to take the bottle and share with our Lil' Man, Caesar Augustus, our 5 yrs old brindle Boston terrier. Barely gone for three and a half hours for friends giving Thanksgiving dinner, we came home to find 11 piles of vomit with hundreds of little pieces of aspirin in it and the chewed up bottle throughout the house. Our primary veterinarian St Andrews veterinarian care, had always recommended that if there were ever to be any emergencies South Carolina veterinarian emergency care was the place we were to go. The puppy babies are our children, literally, and the thought of aspirin toxicity killing them was a nightmare. We immediately called, they had us follow up with poison control authority to establish a case for coordinated medical Care and treatment. Within less than 45 minutes Poison control established a case and both babies were admitted into the emergency care of South Carolina veterinarian specialists. Both puppy babies were hospitalized. The facility staff carefully coordinated Care and treatment with poison control, vitals and blood work were monitored extensively. They were kind enough to allow us to bring back their puppy blankets, their protein food and treats, even a t-shirt for each one of them that had our scent so they would know they were not alone. The compassion, the due diligence and ensuring their safe well-being was priceless. 2 Days later, both of the babies are home and recovering. Snuggled up on the couch on their pillows and under their blanket like the little humans that they are, two weeks of medication to monitor liver functions and protect their internal systems, we give Praise to God and Thanksgiving for the South Carolina veterinarian emergency care and the staff that brought our babies home to us! Jameson has a fabulous " bedside manner" and empathy that can't be taught. He was so comforting in this devastating time in our lives.

We were on the way to a veterinary urgent care, when they called me back and directed me to come here, in case my dog needed life-saving measures and hospitalization; I was absolutely terrified. Everyone we dealt with at SC Vet Specialists was so kind and considerate, and they took great care of my English Mastiff. Dr. Dietrich was so warm and knowledgeable! She did not just order all the possible tests/diagnostics, knowing how wildly expensive they are, but instead gave me options and recommendations, talking through with me the benefits or risks so we could make an informed decision. I would absolutely trust them with my babies again!

Experiencia negativa: Our baby was very sick, took him to the SC VSEC on 11/15/25 waited more than 2 hours but due to other urgent events they were not able to see him (understandably but would have appreciated some advice on what to do to ease my dogs' symptoms). Took baby at 9:00am 0n 11/16/25, as symptoms continue, but sorry vet and standby are sick you can come back at noon, but they could not guarantee he would be seen.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been taking my cat to the SC Veterinary Specialists & Emergency Care Clinic for over 3 years, first for hyperthyroidism and then for oncology care. All of the veterinarians and vet techs, as well as other staff, are empathetic and very concerned about my cat's care. I have never had a bad experience, in fact, the cancer care in particular has been as positive an experience as one could hope while dealing with what will eventually be a terminal condition for my cat. They are thorough and explain everything very carefully, as well.

Once we were put in a room they explained everything and very upfront and honest with us. It wasn’t an easy decision that we had to make but they were very patient with us. They gave us our time with Jeter. We miss her horrible every single day. Thank you!!

Experiencia fantástica: My bog was bit by another and had a deep puncture wound that was concerning. Took him in around 7pm on a Saturday and were in and out in around 2 hours. Everybody we encountered from front desk to the vet were incredible and helped make a stressful situation a lot more relaxing as I knew he was in good hands. 10/10 recommend!!

Experiencia positiva: Everyone was extremely nice. The only person who was not very accommodating was the veterinarian. She seemed in a rush and I was almost charged double for something I told her I don’t want. The veterinary technician was very accommodating, knowledgeable, talented, more experienced than the veterinarian, and was the one who caught her mistake. I didn’t get her name but it’s the brunette lady with a tattoo on her wrist. I will change my review to 5 stars when their roles are swapped.

Experiencia fantástica: Having to take one of our babies here was one of the most terrifying experiences BUT working with SC VSEC was one of the most amazing. Everyone we encountered was kind, patient, informative, and compassionate. They quickly diagnosed our boy and communicated with us through his treatment. We felt completely assured that he was in the best of hands because we actually felt how much they care. Thank you to the amazing team that allowed our sweet Hugo to return home safely with a plan to keep him at his best.

Experiencia negativa: We took a stray kitten we found here. She had a messed up leg and after calling around it was recommended we take her to this emergency vet. We paid $200 for the check up, they did not take X-rays of the leg and told us to schedule an appointment with a regular vet. We booked an appointment with another vet and they were shocked no X-ray was taken. The second vet recommended we amputate the leg within the next month based on the X-rays meanwhile this emergency clinic said she should wait until she’s 6 months old. The second vet also told us she had fleas which South Carolina Veterinary Specialists and Emergency Care told us she had no fleas. Very disappointed in the attention to detail and thankful we got a second opinion soon after.

Experiencia fantástica: We are beyond grateful for the incredible care our sweet Riley has been receiving at South Carolina Veterinary Specialists and Emergency Care. Dr. Ross is truly one of the most compassionate doctors we’ve ever met beside her very own Dr.Todd at White Knoll Vet! Dr. Ross goes above and beyond, not only with her medical expertise but also in the way she shows genuine love and kindness to Riley and to us. Today was such a special reminder of how much heart this entire staff puts into their work. Riley had her second round of chemo treatment, and when we arrived to pick her up, she came out wearing her birthday hat with her favorite pink ball in her mouth. To our surprise, Dr. Ross and the team had prepared a birthday bandana signed by 18 staff members, celebrating Riley’s 11th birthday with us. It was the sweetest gesture, and it meant the world to see how happy and loved she looked after her treatment. It meant the world to us, especially after Riley had to say goodbye to her sister Friday morning before she passed. She loved her sister as much as she loves her pink ball and you guys made her birthday so special, thank you!

From daily updates to hearing how much the staff adored Sonny made such a stressful situation so much less stressful. Every concern or question I had was addressed with ample information and empathy. The reception staff were happy to give me updates multiple times a day and were so friendly. Extra thank you to both techs named Danielle, that loved and cared for Sonny during his visit. Dr. Reiser, I can’t thank you enough for the time you put into Sonny’s care and consistently updating me. You can tell you absolutely love your job and hearing from you every single day was the best part of my day. You are so kind and knowledgeable and i’m so glad you were apart of Sonny’s care team. Had my dog come in for follow up care after surgery from tearing up her intestines by eating something and to ensure she was improving, they did an amazing job. Very attentive to the pets and helpful with answering any questions. My dog loved them just as much as I did, would definitely make the 2 hour drive again if I unfortunately had a situation come up that called for it.

Experiencia positiva: Very expensive and no sense of urgency. Dr very young and was not able to provide many answers. All staff were pleasant and professional. Exam rooms were clean. It was a bit off putting when the minute I checked in for an emergency visit, they asked for full payment of 182.00. It wasn't the best time to ask. Particularly being anxious and upset about my dog. Unfortunately, in an emergency, there aren't many options.

Experiencia positiva: My cat was sneezing which I know can be a bad sign so didn't want to wait for an appt with regular vet. I waited about an hr and the place was dead which I get maybe they were busy with something important. My biggest complaint is they charged me about $300 and all they did was look at my cat and do vital signs. They guessed that its probably a virus gave me meds and sent me on my way. They wanted to save me the $200 for blood test which I appreciate because my cat wasn't in distress but $300 for what they did was way excessive if I had waited it would have cost me 1/3 or more of that. Not complaining about the care but they just charge too much for non emergent care.

Experiencia fantástica: I cannot recommend this place enough. My dachshund Bronson became very ill and needed to be taken to the Veterinary Specialists. They knew what to do to save his life and what tests to run. The staff is very helpful and the doctors are very thorough keeping us updated on how he was doing.

Experiencia positiva: Nice doctor. Not up to date on charges. I was there for about 3 hours and on saw 2 other dogs. They must make up low volume with ridiculously high charges. I was told a biopsy report from an older one would be $150-200. I challenged a $1000.00 charge and had it reduced to $632. How did that happen. I was also told my visit would be about $250.00. It turned out to be $1199.00. The original charge was to cover a consult and a rectal exam. That's what occurred. How did that turn into $1199.00 Great care/ ridiculously high charges.

Experiencia fantástica: I have a very difficult dog that needed emergency surgery and the doctors there were able to still do an excellent successful job. I thought charges were very reasonable for the great service they provided. Everyone was very polite and professional and kept me informed of everything that was going on. I can’t thank them enough for saving my dog.

They went above and beyond when in transit, my cat had had an accident in his carrier, and when I asked for some paper towels, they offered to clean it for me. Both the technician and doctor were friendly and demonstrated a love for animals, esp my cat. They made us both feel very much at ease.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr Clementson and Tech Tre’vis provided expert care for my reactive dog when he needed to empty his stomach after ingesting a toy. They had a plan, a plan b and involved us when implementing.

Tamara took good care of our Mickey, and she answered all of my questions. These two ladies are the best. I would highly recommend this place.

Tamera took my sick female toy poodle back right away when I arrived and Dr Dietrich started treating her. My ladybug was hit by a car and around 11:30 at night we were brought in with open arms. My girl was left to be cremated with the right people and I’ll forever bring my babies here. The doctors, techs and front office staff were wonderful and empathetic. We're so fortunate to have such a great facility to take care of our fur baby when there's an emergency. Experiencia negativa: My first experience taking my 1.9lb micro chihuahua here for a head injury was good. Then my second time taking her here was not. She was extremely dehydrated, wasn’t eating, having diarrhea and just sleeping so I was genuinely concerned of her dying since she’s so small. And for $300 all they did was run tests and tell me they don’t see anything wrong. Not to mention they charged me an “exotic size” fee?? Went somewhere else and was told she just had worms. Moving on 2 years later, my other dog, a golden retriever, went missing for 5 days and when I finally found him he was covered in ticks and bleeding from various places and with this being the only emergency vet open I had no choice but to take him and hope they would do better this time. To no surprise, they weren’t any better. They only took him back into the exam room for less than 5 minutes and did nothing to help his bleeding and didn’t even remove all the ticks after telling me they did. Our vet was Dr Cierra Berret and she acted like she didn’t know anything. When I’d ask an question, she didn’t know what to tell me so said to check with my regular vet. No help at all. My dog was traumatized and in shock so I had to ask for some anxiety meds which she didn’t even seem to want to give me. $300 for nothing. I had to remove all his ticks myself which was what I was paying them to do‍♀️

Experiencia negativa: About 3 to 4 weeks ago my significant other took a stray cat in that we have been taking care of because he was lethargic and not eating or drinking. We were told that the highest estimate would be $2900. My significant other told them while I was on the phone with him that is if was going to be higher then that to let us know. We would come get him and take him in to a regular vet because at the moment I'm the only one working. So money is tight. W'll they did not inform us of an extra $1000 added to it until they called to lay us know he was ready to be picked up. We dispute the extra charge. They did not charge that extra when we picked him up but said the manager would have to get back to us about whether we had to pay it. Well today, almost a month later, I got a voicemail saying that we have to pay it. My significant other called them back to speak to the manager only to be told that she was gone for the day. So the manager called us then left before we could get back to them. To top it off they also, lost our cat carrier and has not addressed that with us. All they care about is the money. I will not be going back to them and do not recommend anybody go to them. Go to CVETS. They are much better.

THE INCOMPETENCE AND TOTAL GREED SHINES AS BRIGHT AS THE FIREWORKS OVER THIS ESTABLISHMENT. Also, Dr. Withycombe is a disgrace to your establishment. She was more worried about my Google review than she was my dog. Her interaction with me was awkward and she obviously lacks the knowledge needed to care for sick animals.

Experiencia fantástica: Our dog Buddy receives excellent care at SC Veterinary Specialists & Emergency Care. Last week, he worked with Jo for water therapy for his hind legs. She couldn't have been more kind and patient. I highly recommend this practice!

Experiencia negativa: We checked in our dog at noon on a Monday for a gastrointestinal issue that started Saturday morning. He was puking and passing blood and bile and very lethargic, feeling miserable. After reviewing his condition they stated that they would put him on an iv for fluids, provide antibiotics and run tests. They recomended keeping him over night. They would get back to us by 2pm with a definitive plan. The estimated cost was quoted at $1,800.00. We received a call from a nurse at 3pm saying our dog was resting. No feedback on blood results (test lab on site) or urin test results. The nurse said a doctor would call back shortly. I called back 2 hours later requesting more details from a doctor after not being contacted as promised. The receptionist stated that the doctor is making rounds and cant speak now. I told this person we've been waiting for several hours now for a doctor to give us some detail and a diagnosis of our pets condition. Receptionist stated that there are 3 dogs that are a PRIORITY based on their condition. I was of course furious at this response. I waited until nearly 8PM! for a doctor to call. No call back. I called back at 7:55pm and asked to talk to doctor. Receptionist provided same response, doctor making rounds, 3 dogs have priority over our pet. I told receptionist, if I don't get a call by 8:30 pm I'm coming down there. No call. I made the 30 minute drive to clinic and spoke with nurse and doctor. Magically they told me they were able to finally collect a urine sample at 8 pm. I called at 7:55 pm. What a coincidence. They basically told me our dog has diarrhea with minimal test resuts. I was incensed and told them, so we're basically payning you $1,800.00 for you to tell me my dog has diarrhea? They provided weak responses. After concluding that my pet is not a priority at this clinic and finding zero confidence in this clinic's capability and sense of care I told them I'm getting my pet out of here. I wasn't going to have him sit in a pen over night with these people. I also asked for a credit on our bill since our pet was not staying over night and was not receiving some of the proposed meds. They provided a statement saying we'll receive a $618.00 credit. Has not showed up on account yet. Bottom line, stay away. Fortunately, they managed to provide minimal treatment while treating other "priority pets". Still cant believe they stated that. Oh, our dog is home and resting. The several hours of iv fluids they provided and one dose of antibiotics they managed to inject helped. He's still not himself but better. I have an appointment to see his regular vet tomorrow.

Experiencia negativa: When you call the first thing they mention is the fee just to be assessed. When the Vet comes to explain to you their assessment, the first thing out of their mouth is "I put together a few plans for you. The first one is this (insert most expensive option)." My first impression was (and still is) it's all about the money with them. Have a little compassion first, then talk about options. Unfortunately, for that reason alone we will choose somewhere else next time. Also, while we cant see everything going on in the back my perception was they were not very busy. There was one person in the waiting room in addition to myself. Waited for almost 2 hours to be seen. Only one person and their animal came out of the back during that time. My pet's exam and consult took less than 20 minutes. The place appeared to be clean. I give them that. Perception is key in customer service. Due to the amount of time it took to actually be seen, the lack of compassion, and the emphasis on money-- I would recommend to those reading this, choose somehwere else first if you can.

Experiencia fantástica: I never leave reviews, but I want to here. I brought my 10 year old Chihuahua there, at midnight last night. He was showing signs of a potential seizure, and knowing he has a history, it scared me. I took him to the vet office, and everyone, from the person at the front desk, to the doctor, was very nice and helpful. They were upfront about the pricing and options, and took good care of my little boy. I highly recommend them. It was $170 for the initial consult, which is reasonable for after hours care. Thank you guys!

Experiencia fantástica: Very thorough. We were not an emergency but I didn’t not want it to get there. So when more sick animals came through the door, I understood that they would be ahead of us. We were there several hours but I was prepared for that. All personnel very attentive and comforting. Upfront about what needed to be done and costs. I will definitely visit again if needed. Thank you for taking such good care of my little dog!

From a pet parent who has never experienced a true emergency, they instantly made me feel at ease and cared for. My dog who never eats anything that she shouldn’t had to undergo emergency surgery to remove string. Their communication went unmatched and I knew that she was getting plenty of care, love and attention. Thanks to Dr. Rathgeber, we were able to celebrate her 4th birthday with her - fully recovered and happy as can be. Thank you to everyone whose support was unmatched during a difficult time like this. I hope to say that I will not be back due to the circumstances of visits but if anything like this arises in the future, there’s nowhere else I would go!

Experiencia negativa: I used these people a couple years ago when we found a small dog that was run over on the side of the road. It was on a Saturday so we had no choice but to use the SC Emergency Vet on Fernandina Rd. They charged $6,300.00 for the surgery to repair his rear leg. I put it on my credit card and it took a couple years to pay off but we were able to save the little fella. We are dog and cat people and we love our animals fiercely. On Thursday, June 6 we had to take our 14 year old rescued Bulldog mix to our regular vet and the X-Rays showed severe lung cancer. We brought him home hoping to have a week or so with him but he went down hill extremely fast on Saturday night and this morning he could barely breathe and it is breaking our hearts. It's Sunday and our regular vet is closed so I called SC Emergency Vet to bring him in to be put down and relieve his suffering. Our regular vet charges approximately $100 for this service. He weighs 60-lbs and SC Emergency Vet told me it would be $400 to euthanize him. We are in our late 60's and on a fixed income so we have to wait until Monday morning and watch our little boy suffer all day and all night. These people have one goal, to extract as much money as possible during a family's difficult and vulnerable time. I realize it's a business to make profit but to charge the prices they do when you really have no options is so predatory. Shame on you people!

I would strongly suggest taking you pet here before you waste your time, money and your pets health to others vets that just want the money with no results. My dog is recovering and still with us due to SC Veterinary & Emergency Care skilled staff diagnosis and treatment of his medical condition. Thank you for saving his life!

Experiencia fantástica: Dr Lauren Ross and the entire staff took wonderful care of our sweet dog, Honey, who had lymphoma. We elected to have chemotherapy, which bought Honey an extra 4-6 months. The care received by Dr Ross and staff was compassionate, supportive and professional. They seemed to love our girl and always wanted the best for her. I would not hesitate to recommend them!

Experiencia fantástica: I couldn’t give enough praise for this wonderful place. I’m newer to the area and our husky had a horrible accident early in the morning. I called them knowing he was badly injured but I still wanted to see if they could help him. They were waiting for me to pull up. The vet herself came and scooped him up from my arms and rushed him back. He wasn’t able to be saved but the professional care and love we received was something I’ll never forget. They gave us options for his remains and took all the hard stuff from us. We are so thankful! We will forever miss our Bruce!

We arrived at 11:00 pm, were checked right in and my dog was seen about 15 minutes later. I was given a very thorough analysis by the technician and Dr Amanda. We were given the meds needed and a complete written analysis and care needed explanation. A wonderful and very helpful experience - my dog is healing well!

We brought our dog for her on going limping, she usually doesn’t like going to the vets and being touched but she was so comfortable there with them. Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Kolb, the ER and front desk staff were absolutely amazing, graceful and compassionate in my time of need. I brought my dog in yesterday for respiratory distress. They were able to evaluate him and stabilize him within minutes. Thankfully, he was safe and sound and back in my arms within an hour. I am so very grateful to SCVSEC and Dr. Kolb for their care. Top notch facility.

Experiencia fantástica: My pup with an already casted, broken toe decided that the best time to suddenly get over her well-documented aversion to bodies of water should be while on vacation. When Macgyvering what remained of her cast was not sufficient, we sought out an emergency vet for a new cast. My pup must have sensed the excellence of this clinic the moment we walked in because her usual veterinary anxiety never kicked in and she was her normal, sweet, inquisitive self during our entire visit. It's possible that we received better care here than we have been getting from our vet at home Knowing this resource is nearby definitely increases the likelihood that my pup and I will return to the area for future vacations.

Experiencia fantástica: We brought our Brandi in for concerns of nasal bleeding and swelling as we couldnt get great answers anywhere else. Dr Kasey Mabry, along with Malory, Cassie, and Makayla made us feel so welcome, answered our questions and put us at ease. The whole facility is ridiculousy clean and inviting. After some tests we had some unfortunate news as our baby does have cancer, and we can better plan her last days.. but at least now we know. I would recommend them hands down for any serious medical treatment. We never felt like a number, we were never rushed, and this was the best vet care I have seen in SC since dealing with Cornell University in upstate NY. We cant thank them enough!

An incredible level of personal attention and compassion was shown for us and our sweet Dixie Mae who had swallowed a rather large fish hook and had to undergo a procedure to have it removed. Experiencia fantástica: I took my girl in for signs of eclampsia 6 days post welp, 3/03/25. It was 3:30 in the morning. I called ahead and the receptionist was nice. She couldn’t tell me an exact wait time but did give me an idea of what was going on at the hospital so that I could make a judgment call as to when I should leave. I didn’t want to have mother and puppies separated any longer than necessary. When we arrived, check-in was quick and smooth. Moments later we were in a room. The tech was friendly, quickly assessing my girl, asking all the right questions. She then took her to be evaluated by the veterinarian. A little later, I went to the car to get my coffee and as I was coming back in, I ran into the vet. She was super friendly and complementary of my girl:) Shortly after I was back in the room waiting with my husband, the tech brought my dog back and gave us a thorough explanation, including printed paperwork with everything that had been done and all of her lab work results. Check out was fast and they actually gave me some money back from my deposit as we had only needed a tech appointment. When I checked in with my regular vet about 8:30 that morning, the paperwork had already been sent. She was able to look over everything and advise me accordingly. As a responsible breeder, I am immensely thankful for a dependable emergency care team that’s available in the wee hours. Over the years, I have heard horror stories about some of the emergency vets around town. My experience was wonderful and I will move forward in my breeding program being able to breathe a little easier at night knowing South Carolina Veterinary Specialists and Emergency Care is there for me and my girls! Experiencia fantástica: I had to share. I won't tell my story but all I could do was cry when I finally got home, after midnight. I like straight talk and I got it. I'm never impressed by how you treat me. I want the attention to go to my pet and not me. The Doctor stayed in touch with me for over 12 hours. It was a long visit with sad results. Today I cry, hugging my pet. We were thankful for spending the day with the perfect people. Thank you for your outstanding service.

Experiencia fantástica: I took my dog to SC Veterinary Specialists & Emergency Care for an abdominal wound from a dog attack and she was evaluated immediately and returned to me in a private Owner/Patient waiting room until the procedure to repair her wound. They had her wound repaired and had us on our way home within three hours. Doctor Gonzalez and Tech Ryan were very caring and informative as well as the rest of the staff that I met. I hope never to have another pet emergency but if I do they are who I will be taking my pets to.

Experiencia negativa: Front desk was rude and had an attitude! I understand paying upfront but the way she explains and has no emotion when explaining . Also telling us that if we don’t play it’s automatic euthanasia is a little wild to me . Do better and have some compassion!
