Experiencia negativa: I thought I found a somewhat trustworthy veterinarian. But absolutely not !!! These people took advantage of me , Way overcharged me they really gauged me. Will never take any of my pets here ever again. They were only good for routine stuff. But not if your pet is hurt. Watch out !!

Experiencia negativa: Our dog underwent two tail surgeries at this clinic.After the first amputation ,another veterinarian at this same location admitted the cut had been done incorrectly, with bone fragments left exposed, and performed a second surgery to “fix” it. Despite this, our dog continued to deteriorate and never recovered properly. We sought care elsewhere, where a new veterinarian shaved and fully examined the tail and found significant damage/necrotic tissue that had not been identified at this clinic, requiring yet another corrective surgery. This suggests inadequate examination and surgical decision making. We were also never provided pathology results for the mass removed during the first surgery. When we raided our concerns and requested a refund or review of the case the doctor who performed the first surgery got defensive and the owner refused stating that tail amputations are “risky”. While complications can happen, this response did not address the clear issues with examination, documentation, and surgical technique. We ultimately spent several thousands dollars at another hospital to properly treat our dog. Based on our experience. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CLINIC for complex surgical cases.

Experiencia positiva: Let me start with saying I've taken a lot of my pets here and they've always been treated and gotten better so the medical care has been good and they can often see you same day. The reason for 3 stars is pricing has gone way up. I can't seem to get out of there for under $300. My cat just had minor bronchitis and it cost me $544. Yes they are upfront with pricing but doctor said they needed to do X-rays and bloodwork before diagnosing. Normally, I appreciate a doctor being thorough but not when it's for something this minor. I needed antibiotics and didn't wanna leave without anything. She had been sneezing and coughing for 3 days but was otherwise normal. Still eating and drinking fine. I try to catch things early in cats because I know it can get bad. She just had bloodwork one month ago for oral surgery and was fine. (Which I had done at Clinica Patas Felices in Tijuana Mexico because the price difference is insane and they were amazing.) She's indoor only and she's gotten respiratory infections before. Doctors don't even require chest X-rays for me when I have bronchitis unless antibiotics aren't working. I'll be looking for another vet because I can't afford to keep spending this much every time my pets gets a cold.

Experiencia negativa: Be aware of this place. I took my cat in for a checkup and she was diagnosed with pyometra and told she needed immediate surgery. After the surgery, she was never the same. She began vomiting constantly. At first, she was throwing up what looked like cotton, which made me fear something had been left inside her during surgery. I brought her back twice and was told she was “doing better,” but her condition continued to decline. No further testing or answers were provided. Eventually, my cat passed away after weeks of suffering. I trusted this hospital to take care of my baby, and instead my family is left heartbroken. I spent a lot of money seeking help and feel dismissed when I raised concerns. Please do thorough research before trusting this clinic with your pet

Experiencia fantástica: I have recently moved to Lancaster and was looking for a good, trustworthy, reasonably priced vet in the area for my cats. So far they have been exactly that. The appointment availability is fast and they move me and my cats into rooms for service quickly once Im there. Everyone I've interacted with is personable as well and the prices are what I anticipate with a California vet clinic. I do recommend them to people looking for a vet.

The whole place felt sketchy, which is concerning when it comes to pet care and finding a trustworthy veterinary clinic is so important. I would not recommend this clinic based on my experience. If you love your pet, I strongly suggest trying somewhere else, just not here! The 5-star reviews are too good to be true, especially considering the discounts they offer in exchange for positive ratings.

Throughout the entire interaction, she displayed a consistently negative attitude and was notably uncooperative with both me and my dog. After reading other reviews, it appears that the clinic offers discounts in exchange for 5 star ratings, an offer I was never given, which raises concerns about the authenticity of their feedback. I’ve never felt so unwelcome at a veterinary clinic. Unfortunately, I expect this review will be overshadowed by numerous incentivized 5 star reviews, making it difficult for others to get an accurate picture of the service provided.

Experiencia fantástica: We had such a great experience here! We had just adopted our dog and realized he needed a rabies shot before his grooming appointment — which was in less than an hour. I called last minute, and they were so kind and accommodating, fitting us in right away. The staff was incredibly friendly and understanding of my time crunch, and they made sure everything was handled quickly without making me feel rushed. I’m so grateful for their compassion and efficiency — they turned a stressful day into a smooth one. Highly recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: I was referred here after my usual vet wasn't available and I needed to put my car to sleep. I was nervous, because, new vet, need to put my cat down with someone I didn't know. Vet Lee euthanized my cat perfectly and genuinely. She listened to me talk a little about Echo, never made me feel like she was in a hurry and was so nice. The simpatico end? Dr Lee is actually married to my regular vet, Dr Wong at Palmdale! Of course she is, they are so alike. Thank you Dr. Lee AND Dr Wong for both being so superb and compassionate!

Experiencia positiva: I came here a year ago and had a great experience with everyone and everything over all which is why I came here again today but it was a different experience. The staff were friendly except for the main doctor (I’m assuming). It seemed like he had a problem with me asking questions and asking about options rather than just jumping to a surgery right away. I get that they already know what to do in certain situations, but if someone has questions why not be patient with your clients and answer them nicely instead of making smart remarks. He made me feel like I was a major inconvenience which is not right and I don’t think I see myself coming here again.

The vets themselves sometimes never even spoke to me and sent out assistants to present outrageous estimates. At Pet Check they had a very friendly and attentive staff, and friendly and accessible doctor. Was my first visit, but best vet experience in a long time, and very reasonable prices, which is important with 5 dogs at home.

Experiencia positiva: I was referred to Pet Check Engine Animal Hospital when Antelope Valley Animal Hospital couldn’t take my cat due to a shortage of doctors. I appreciated that this clinic quickly diagnosed the issue and performed the needed surgery. They sent my cat home with fluids and antibiotics and scheduled a follow-up to remove the drain, which was all appropriate and helpful. Where I felt uneasy was the financial side. I was initially charged $1,668, and then $68 more just to take home fluids post-surgery. Ten days later, they told me my cat needed another $500 procedure to stitch dead skin, plus $30 for ointment. Technically, they did inform me of the cost before each step—but I was made to wait, and by the time they explained the charges, I felt like I had no real alternative. I was stressed, emotional, and my pet needed help, so of course I agreed. Looking back, I realize I might have had other options if I hadn’t felt so boxed in. I’m grateful for the care they provided, but I do think they could be more sensitive to how financial pressure lands on pet owners in crisis. Transparency isn’t just about giving a number—it’s about making space for informed decisions, even in urgent moments.

Experiencia negativa: If I could select zero stars for this unprofessional Pet clinic that is what I would rate them . This place will do anything, even lie to your face to up charge and take your money. We took our pup for Spay surgery procedure and they tried to tack on a $500 charge saying my pup was pregnant. We have had this pup since birth and she’s an indoor dog that only goes outside into our enclosed patio, and has NEVER been around any other dogs Since birth. Therefore impossible for her to be pregnant. They tried to argue with us and then changed the story to , well your dog has pyometra , then they said hydrometria , they didn’t know how to cover up the fact that they were trying to scam us out of $500 . Long story short , our puppy has non of thee above. I don’t recommend this scamy clinic. They huffed and puffed with excuses and finally handed over our pup and added a bogus $50 charge because they said our puppy arrived in heat . Just a terrible experience all around .

Experiencia fantástica: I want to thank the Pet Check Engine Animal Hospital. my old dog suddenly began having seizures. this place was recommended by a friend and I brought him in unannounced right at the opening and they did not hesitate to take him in begin treatment even before filling out the details. they did inform me there was an emergency fee (which went towards the bill anyway). they were considerate, professional, and presented me with all possible options. this has been a hard couple of days for my wife and I, but they really helped make it a very hard situation more bearable.

My friends pup got severely sick and had to get immediate surgery, she told the dr the pup was still throwing up and he brushed her off. Almost a month a later the poor pup had to go back and turns out the same toy that had been “fully” removed was still in there. She requested a refund for the emotional damage and neglect, the office gave her the run around and the dr who performed the surgery was extremely rude. Beware of this place as it cares more for the money than the pets.

Experiencia negativa: Do not trust all of these positive reviews. They give you a discount if you leave them a good review. This place was okay at first. They got my cat in at the last minute. But I could tell from the moment I got in, that the dr was going to upsell me. I was desperate. $298 for blood work? Total of $445 for this visit. Getting work done that was not necessary, I paid anyways just in case. They told me it would be 30 mins. So I look around the area, I get a call 20 mins later. “Excuse me, you left without paying? You need to come back and pay before you leave” and I said “excuse me? I just paid the full amount. I have the receipt” “I don’t have any record of that, let me place you on hold”. Well of course they came back and said okay cause I did in fact pay. Another 40 mins go by. I missed their call by 2 mins, literally, 2 mins. So 1 min later, I walk in. The dr came in “we called you so many times! You did not answer! I wanted to go on my lunch!” And I told him “I got one call, three mins ago”. So unprofessional and weird. Don’t trust this place or these reviews! I’m not a sell out!

Recently, one of my girls needed emergency surgery, and they handled everything with incredible care and professionalism. They also took care of my special needs Yorkie, who requires extra attention due to her condition. The level of care they provide is phenomenal—compassionate, thorough, and attentive. Their customer service is equally impressive; they truly make you feel like family. On top of all that, their prices are extremely reasonable, which is hard to find for such high-quality care. I travel all the way from Los Angeles (Van Nuys) to Palmdale because no other clinic compares. That says it all! If you’re looking for the best place for your pets, look no further than Pet Check Engine.

Experiencia negativa: I gave this vet a five star..I brought all my kitties here multiple times but never again. Now I see the 5 stars are literally all bought reviews (yes they pay for your 5 stars). I decided to get a second opinion after they told me my cat, who was suddenly gasping for air and had a high breathing rate, had asthma. He's never ever had asthma. He has hyperthyroidism and apparently an enlarged heart I was told to "not worry about". Well I guess I should have been worried because not even 10 min with a different, well experienced vet, he said no this isn't asthma, he has a heart condition. Meanwhile pet check has given me the run around all week. Cost me nearly $1000 to be told my cat has something he doesn't. Put on a ton of different meds making him feel crappy and for what? Nothing! Please if you're currently taking your babies here please please get a second opinion!! It may mean saving your furbabies lives. Now my senior boy is fighting for his damn life in an oxygen chamber! He has heart failure that this vet told me "DONT WORRY ABOUT". God the things I wish I could say to this monster right now. Pay a little extra. Go somewhere else. Your pet is a living thing and deserves better!! Also, this vet never mentioned they should be checking my cat's heart all this time due to how high his thyroid was! I didn't know that but they should! Insane this all could have been avoided and my baby could have been saved from so much pain and suffering. Absolutely horrible. If my baby dies this will fall on him. Edited- A few hours after I posted this my baby passed...these horrible people are to blame..I will never forgive you people. I hope it haunts you..you could have saved him!! My world is shattered because someone didn't want to do their job correctly or maybe is just not qualified to actually do their job..Don't work with living things if you don't care!!!

My dog Sally was having trouble breathing early in the morning, and they were open right when I needed them at 8 AM. I called, and they answered immediately with excellent customer service, reassuring me that I didn’t need an appointment. After a one-hour drive, I was seen within 5 minutes of arriving. Both the nurse and the doctor were incredibly kind, professional, and compassionate. They made me feel like family and took such great care of Sally. I am so happy to have found this place, and it will definitely be our go-to clinic from now on. Thank you for making such a stressful situation much easier!

The hospital was incredibly clean and well-maintained, which gave me a lot of confidence in their care standards. From the moment we walked in, I felt like our dog was in good hands. The staff was friendly, professional, and clearly passionate about what they do. They took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure we understood all of my pet’s needs.

They took the time to educate me about my cats treatments and were very accommodating. The prices were not expensive and my kitten felt safe even though he's a skittish little alien, I'll definitely be bringing my other cats here in the future

The vet and his team were incredible in their care for my 6lb Chihuahua, who was seriously ill. They not only provided exceptional medical treatment, but also showed immense patience and understanding towards me, as I was understandably anxious about my pet's condition. The team's professionalism and dedication to their role are second to none. They clearly have a deep respect for the animals they treat, and the comfort they provided me during a stressful time was invaluable. This clinic is more than just a place for pet healthcare; it's a place where pets and their parents are treated with compassion and empathy. Experiencia fantástica: We have looked far and wide for a doctor like this. From NY to LA. We are so relieved to have found Pet Check Engine! Doctor Youssef has the best bedside manner we’ve encountered and so smart, compassionate, cares about not breaking our bank and calmed our concerns with our cat. He was flexible as well to cater to what our cat needed to have the least stressful exam possible. Cannot recommend enough. We looked all over LA and the Valley near us but this is the golden ticket. Very cute hospital as well and everyone is friendly.

Experiencia fantástica: Took my cat Boots in for a checkup for possible urinary issues. The staff and doctor were friendly and the office/ exam rooms were clean. Making the appointment was easy and they were able to see me very quickly. I will definitely come back .

Experiencia fantástica: My fur babies were sick so I searched for a location to take them too. This location was able to give me a same day appointment :) . The staff and doctors were so nice and were able to take care of babies! This place is great and is now our go to spot for our kids ❤️

Experiencia positiva: Very professional, doctor actually sees you and explains to you everything. Doctor isn’t rushing you and she was very attentive to my dog. The assistants were great at explaining instructions about medication. Prices were a little high but definitely cheaper than other places I’ve been. $25 for exam on my puppy Place even called next day to ask how my puppy was doing. Sadly she didn’t make it but it wasn’t their fault.

Experiencia fantástica: My dog had a foxtail in his ear and the extracted it without a problem no anesthesia, they were professional and handled my dog's issue within 20 mins I was out of there. Very satisfied with their professionalism and over all experience, great doctors and assistants. I also got 3 annual vaccines for $10 each, their pricing is very affordable, and exam fee was only $25! Thank u Pet Check Engine and a special thanks to Dr. Lee u are the best veterinarian ever!
