She took the time to actually listen to my concerns and helped me figure out a clear plan for my pet moving forward. I didn’t feel rushed at all, and she explained everything in a way that made sense. What I appreciated most was how proactive she was she suggested several helpful options and things I can do in the future to keep my pet healthy. You can tell she genuinely cares about the animals she treats and wants the best for them. I’m really grateful for her help and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a vet

Experiencia fantástica: My cat has been going here for a couple years after they were able to get her in due to an emergency. Recently, Milo (my cat) has been seen by Dr. Herrod who has been amazing in figuring things out for her. She was able to see Milo prior to a procedure to rule out an infection and has given many recommendations to help her. I am really grateful for this as my cat is my little baby and having someone care for her and not make it seem like it's about a cash-grab is relieving.

Dr. Lindsay and her team were so caring. They worked with my budget to get my boy what he needed. He’s doing so much better after seeing them and getting the care he deserves. I can’t thank them enough for saving my boy. I will definitely be brining him back for future check ups and any health concerns. They seem genuinely concerned and caring and that means a lot to any pet owner. Seriously thank you, so much from Ranger and I to the whole staff at the Denton Vet Center. ♥️

Experiencia fantástica: Our dog, Hagrid, got very sick, very fast. Our regular vet (who we love) did not have the equipment to do the ultrasound Hagrid needed. Denton Vet Center got us in quickly which saved a very costly trip to the ER. Dr. Quast and Missy were exceptionally compassionate and thorough. When they had to give us some really sad news, it was clear that it hurt them almost as much as it hurt us. They worked hard to make Hagrid as comfortable as possible and helped us say goodbye to him. Every single person we interacted with in their office was kind and helpful. We are thankful to have found them and won't hesitate to recommend them to friends and family.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. McCommas has been my granddogger’s Vet since my son adopted her. After another ER missed it - she found what appeared to be a blockage in the small intestine and since she was already completely booked for surgeries - she referred us to another superior surgeon who performed the removal. Had she just waited and not be uber cautious, my son’s sweet Bella could’ve lost her intestines/life. Thank you Dr. McCommas for loving your patients and their families so well. Bella thanks you and is back to her normal sweet self.

She has given all three of our boys the most excellent care, and has helped save both our cat and one of our dogs from serious conditions. Her referrals to surgery/treatment have been phenomenal and she is truly invested in her patients. I’ve never had a more compassionate and caring veterinarian and am endlessly grateful to her and the lovely staff and vet techs. I would recommend her and DVC to anyone looking for the highest standard of care for their animals.

My dog is now a living miracle, I am so grateful for them.. Charlie went from having Parvo to puppy energy in 1-2 days! Thank You for everything!

Even walking up my dog was barking and a gentleman spoke to my dog and said “Don’t you worry boy, they’ll fix you right up” “You came to the right place.” “Best Veterinarian, you’ll see” I thought to myself.. hmm, weird thing to say to a barking German Shepard. Most people hold their pet closer and try to avoid him. It was unusual for me. Experiencia fantástica: Denton Veterinary Center was able to get us in same day for an issue that our cat was having. Immediately I was so impressed with everyone there. There was a tech helping another client bring in multiple pets as we were coming in and another tech helping someone carry her cat out to her car. Before we had even gone back with our cat I noticed green flags all around. Both Tori and Dr. Hudson were so kind and caring and have truly gone above and beyond to make sure that our cat is getting the best care that she needs. They are so accommodating and are giving our baby the best care.

Experiencia fantástica: This facility provided the best vet care I have ever experienced. My husband and I are new to the area and took our 16 year old baby girl here today. We needed to establish care and were also concerned about her mobility. The experience was phenomenal. I scheduled an appointment online for the next day. We were met with a friendly front desk team. Once in the room our technician listened to our concerns. Once Dr.Hudson did her exam she explained everything in detail and answered every question. And then the best part: the technician gave us a full break down of each treatment option and let us choose our cost prior to treatment. Overall, the entire team was clear and intentional with their care. Disclaimer though our puppy is perfect so experience may vary!

Experiencia fantástica: Described Rosie’s four episodes of diarrhea following eating 5 salted pistachio nuts the evening before. Vet recommended medication for symptoms & I picked it up Sat. AM. Administered 1 packet of med over Rosie’s food. She ate ~1/2 of food with medication. Rosie had 2 more episodes of diarrhea & 1 episode of emesis before s/s began to dissipate. She ate her usual amount at dinner that night. Sunday AM she appeared to feel much better, ate & drank WNL without any follow-up symptoms. Continued giving her meds Sunday & she ate & drank without any further s/s.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Hudson and her tech, Tori, are truly Godsent! I cannot speak highly enough of them. I recommend Dr. Hudson to all of my friends and family. Through allergies, a cancer scare, and surgery, she has remained accessible, transparent, and compassionate. I am so incredibly thankful for her. She did a fabulous job on his surgery—I genuinely think she should consider doggie plastic surgery because she is a pro! Recently we saw Dr. Herrod for a quick visit and I cannot stress enough how much my cat loved her. She was amazing- as usual at Denton vet center! I’ve been bringing my boys here for five years and would never go to another vet. Everyone at Denton Vet Center is amazing. The office staff and every person who has helped us along the way has been kind, helpful, and clearly passionate about caring for animals. I am forever grateful for everyone at Denton Vet Center.

Experiencia fantástica: I recently visited this veterinary clinic for the first time, and I have to give a special shout out to Emily. She was absolutely amazing. My dog Gracie is usually very nervous around new people, but she warmed up to Emily right away which never happens. Emily was warm, gentle, and incredibly patient. She took the time to answer every question I had, and the mini exam she did right in the room made me feel instantly safe and confident in the care we were receiving. Her calm energy made all the difference. I also want to recognize the front desk staff and the vet tech. Everyone was welcoming, efficient, and genuinely kind from the moment we walked in. The whole team created such a smooth experience, from check in to getting Gracies medication. I left with exactly what we needed and, more importantly, the peace of mind that we were in truly good hands. I am so grateful for the care we received. Highly recommend this clinic and their wonderful team

She had a great experience, said Luna was calm and treated so nicely by the staff, and we both came away reassured that she was in good health and that she is having a behavioral issue.

Our Trixie is feeling so much better and we appreciate the thorough exam and finding every thing , even the issues we had no idea about. 24 hours later and she's like a puppy! (She's at least 10, we aren't sure bc she's a rescue) She's feels so much better, she's playing and bringing us her toys to go outside and run again! We feel like we've hit the jackpot with Denton Veterinary ❤️

Experiencia fantástica: I love DVC. Dr. McComas has loved on and cared for my two dogs for many years now. I know she will give me direct, evidence based care with options for budgetary constraints. She’s done this every time without judgement and always with the pet’s best interest in mind. This summer she helped me make the most difficult decision about one of my girls. I felt confident that we had done everything possible for her and that the rainbow bridge was the kindest choice I could make. She gave me space and time for the decision and supported me along the way. I will always remember her kindness and compassion the entire time.

Experiencia negativa: DO NOT GO TO THIS VET CLINIC! They have now deceived me over and over again. My journey with Denton Vet Center started with my older dog, when they sold me on an “allergy shot”, for +$100 that did not last even half as long as it was supposed to. OTC allergy meds are much cheaper and work much better. With my youngest dog- we took him in for a TPLO repair in March of 2025. The doctor, Marisa Herrod (who has a terrible attitude and terrible bed side mannerism), saw us ONCE in the office, diagnosed him, answered a few questions over the phone, and that was that. When I picked up my dog from his surgery, a tech brought him out to us by dragging him by the leash and simply dropped him off at my feet and rushed off without saying anything; did not even verify I was the owner of the dog. I brought him back a few times for his follow up X-rays and none of the times did the vet come out and talk to us until his last follow up appointment when she chased after me to upsell me on arthritis shots for his joints. I was never told my pet had arthritis nor that he would need treatment for it and the time and place to do this was certainly NOT in the parking lot of the clinic. I swore to never take him back, however, in a pinch this week I had to for an ear infection. I took him in on Friday, November 7th at 1PM for itching and shaking his ears. They ran a cytology test and found that he had “a small bacterial infection” for which he was given an ear solution twice a day for 7 days. I got home and did some research on his medication only to discover it is only cleaning solution that they charged me 4x the price for. There is absolutely not antibiotics in this solution, hence he is not receiving any treatment for his infection. I will be filling a BBB claim against them as well as a claim against the Veterinary herself

Experiencia negativa: I'm not saying all the vets don't know what they're doing but I took my dog because a cyst popped and they said the only way to take care of it was to amputate the leg because they found some type of bacteria. I went back to my normal vet and a specialist agreed that was unnecessary. They referred me to a dermatologist and that Dr said he had acute dermatitis and cysts popping was normal but unsightly and an upkeep. I don't think I will be bringing my pups back for anything urgent. This was a heart wrenching moment and assured me there was no other way. So please, if your animal needs "surgery" or something like this - and you feel desperate for answers but your gut telling you there is something wrong - get a 2nd or 3rd opinion. Otherwise the front staff is very friendly and accommodating. I just think some of these vets need to chill and try not to jump into anything life altering for an animal. Thanks.

Experiencia fantástica: I was having a very bad day when I got to their offices, and they completely made me feel welcome. I didn't want to go in their offices because I didn't want to be around people so they met me in the parking lot, brought my dog inside to take care of business, and then brought my dog back out to my car. The veterinary called me to go over the visit and answered all my questions. They even let me pay while still in my car. These may be details that don't mean much them but they showed such empathy and compassion towards myself and my dog that they've made me a lifetime customer. Shalom.

Experiencia fantástica: Our dog had an accident in our backyard and had to get 5 stitches in his leg. We took him here for the first time (new to Denton) and have been nothing but pleased with the experience. We were well informed of the process and given clear costs upfront (very fair pricing). When we had at-home questions, we were able to share photos and directly talk to a vet on the same day. There is not much else you can ask for given the circumstances. We are happy to say we found our new vet for our 120lb doggo! Highly recommend establishment. And thank you vet techs and vets that worked on Brutus!

Without hesitation, the team had us bring our pet in for an examination due to concerns regarding his symptoms. They conducted a thorough assessment and it was determined he needed emergency services. They assisted in connecting us with the nearest animal hospital and made the process as smooth as possible. We are thankful for the team’s quick response which likely saved the life of our pet!

This made me happy. They gave him the treatment for his problem. All is well. So thankful for the staff. I greatly appreciate them.

Experiencia negativa: Very costly, not forthcoming with information regarding test results or treatment, prevention. Mainly treat symptoms. Estimates for services are not transparent. Not much follow-up with the furbaby parent. The only positive is the location.

Experiencia fantástica: Blake and another associate were able to meet with me in the same room as my Precious Princess Purrfect (PPP) and were able to not only trim her nails but also were able to trim away large matts of her winter fur that was impossible for me to comb through and in that way make her much more comfortable from the heat and also her difficulty in walking because her nails were catching on everything and causing her to lose her balance. They were wonderful and so caring and kind to her (and even more so to me) and I am so thankful to know there are people who genuinely understand how much we love our pets and that they were able to relieve me of so much concern. Thank you so much!

Experiencia negativa: Received a call from the veterinarian stating that my puppy has two parasites in his stomach. Went to the clinic to get his medicine, and wanting to know more about the parasites, and see if it’s contagious because I have another dog at home, and the front desk lady said that it is contagious to other dogs. I asked her could she tell us more information, and what are the signs we should look for for our other dog bc he’s been exposed, she handed us paperwork and told us it’s all in the paperwork. She didn’t really help us, or go get someone else with higher credentials that could’ve helped us, she pretty much just brushed us off, and told us to search it up. I understand her job duties is not the same as the actual veterinarian, but I feel like if you’re at the front desk, and you have two people with concerns about a parasite in their puppy, and it possibly being transferred to their other dog that you would simple go and ask your coworkers to see if they can talk to us, and further explain what is wrong with their dog, and what we should look for during the whole recovery process.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. McComas is a great friendly vet that truly takes the time to really explain and answers any questions. I really appreciate her care of my cat. The other staff also is very caring and friendly. Although it is a bit of a drive for us, it’s worth it for the amazing care.

Experiencia fantástica: I emailed them last min at 745 am. I was embarrassed to call cuz I know I need to call in advance. However, I was just hoping if somebody had canceled that maybe they could fit me in. But instead, I literally got a phone call a little bit after eight and they booked me an appointment the same day I was so grateful because my poor puppy was really itching a lot and she was miserable. I swear I love this place. It’s not like a conveyor belt type office either . they have caring personalities and every time you walk in the door, they always say hello. You don’t have this awkward silence. I highly recommend this place. They are very thorough and they are always smiling and they never make you feel like you inconvenienced them.. here’s a pic of my 17 yr old yorkie named Lillybug. I don’t know how much more time I have with her, but she goes with me everywhere. I love her so much.

Experiencia fantástica: I really can't say enough great things about Dr. Quast and the vet tech we saw yesterday for Scruffy's elevated blood pressure and proteinuria. Quast spent a lot of time going over the ultrasound findings, and obviously knows what he's talking about. We spent several hundred dollars at another vet (near Alliance in Ft Worth), and they wanted to do a $750 ultrasound before ever checking Scruffy's urine and blood pressure! His ultrasound here was $375 (with no sedation, way better). We've found a new vet home, for sure!

Experiencia fantástica: The vet tech was wonderful. I like Dr. Perez as well, although they give you options there is no pressure do go to extremes. They are very expensive though, but that is my opinion. They are also open on saturdays which is GREAT!!!

Dr. Perez gave a complimentary exam for my dog and beyond that he spent about 30 minutes of his time making sure that we were well educated about our options before we left. He made me feel heard and seen and my fears were validated. I have never experienced such kindness. It is exactly why I left the big city. Thank you for your kindness and time and advisement dr. Perez. We will be back.

Experiencia negativa: I've decided, after months of wanting to make a change, to remove my dog from Denton Veterinary Center. Every time I call to inquire about services, I am placed on hold for a very uncomfortable amount of time, the person answering the phone seems "scattered in thought" most of the time and barely concentrates on the reason I'm calling. Their attitude says, "hurry up and say what you want to say, so I can get off this phone." During my very first office visit, I felt my dog and I were "invisible to the reception staff" We were not greeted, the staff seemed more interested in looking at their laptops than paying attention to who or what walked through the door, and in addition to that, there wasn't a friendly, inviting smile, interested gesture in my dog's well being, nothing that was even motivated to say "hi, or good morning" This front office staff appeared to be "pissed off" at something at every one of our visits. Now, this energy coming from the front desk is a direct reflection on the Clinic. After seeing the Vet, and proceeding to checkout, my dog and I stood waiting for someone from the front desk to gesture for us to proceed "this way, or that way" to checkout. Not a word was uttered until I said something. After experiencing all this, I immediately had second thoughts about continuing care at this facility and regret taking so long to decide. Finally, I made my decision today based on the observation that the front desk staff appear "uninterested, ticked off, couldn't care less, or flat out, NO, I do not care to give instruction on pet medication, so do not ask me anything" I did not and still do not feel welcome, so it's a, "Bu-Bye" for me. Everyone I have spoken to (office administrators/technicians/doc) makes me feel my fur baby is genuinely cared for, but Blake and Dr. McComas are worth the name drop, because it’s apparent their hearts are in their work. ❤️

There is never a long wait and I’m always met with friendly, helpful and knowledgeable people ♥️ Dr. McComas is the most welcoming, calm, knowledgeable person, and able to relay that knowledge to me. She is so gentle and caring with both my dogs and kitten. All of the vet techs are friendly and caring with my fur babies. I feel very fortunate to be in their care.

Experiencia fantástica: Denton Vet Center is, by far, THE BEST place you can go for your beloved pets health. My critically ill 12 year old cat was recently diagnosed as diabetic. When all other vet offices did not have the adequate staff to do the necessary blood work to save his life, it was this vet center that gave my cat an immediate appointment for the exam, blood work, and ALL the testing he needed on an critical wellness, life saving complete structured program. The front desk staff prioritizes you being treated there with plenty of personalized attention, which continues throughout the treatment there whenever you call or need them. Jay was particularly helpful in keeping myself in touch with the veterinarian thru my phone calls. The vet tech, by the name Soloman, initially prepared my boy cat named Leo, to be seen by the vet. He calmed my nerves and prepared us well to see the vet. Our vet was Dr. Emily McComus. I’ve never had a vet give us all the individualized attention that she did, from beginning to the end of a 3 hour appointment. I had to absorb alot of medical information about feline diabetes. Her first words were “you can do this”! She was encouraging and explained everything I needed to know and made a very thorough, complete game plan for Leo’s treatment for that day, the next day too, and all the future days we would be treating kitty. Our former vet was less than helpful and Dr. McComus far exceeded my expectations in her knowledge and teachings of cat diabetes. The entire staff at Denton Vet Center is spectacular! You and your pet and priorities at any time you call, any and all issues are dealt with immediately with swift resolutions, encouragement, and kindness. You want the best when your pet is ill and this is where you need to go. I was taught injections of insulin, new dietary treatments, some pain medication. I could finally start to relax about saving my cats life and not doing it alone. So, this review is lengthy, but, like I said, the attention and services are above and beyond any veterinary office I’ve ever been to. The help is ongoing and as of today, now that Leo has started eating again and the pain meds are working and he’s had 2 doses of insulin as of last night and this morning, there is a significant improvement in kitty’s well being. I can visibly see the difference! Thank you for this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude in saving my best friends life and being able to give back the kindness and love we received. He cares about his patients and has been very patient with me, answering all my questions and returning my calls. One of my puppies recently had surgery, and they did an excellent job. Experiencia fantástica: Dr. McComas and her team care for your animals as if they were their own. I have anxiety and would often call them if my cat showed the slightest hint of being ill. My budget as a grad student is often limited, so they would do what they could before telling me to bring her in - something that soothed my anxiety and wallet! I especially want to shout out Dr. McComas for comforting me when my cat had to be brought in. I was very scared about my cat, and she didn't judge. In fact, she basically held my hand and cried with me! She's a real one, thats for sure!

Experiencia fantástica: Genuinely have never had an issue with these kind people. They are always eager to help and find what works as soon as possible for as little as possible. Spent $300 somewhere else for meds that didn’t even work, only to spend half that on meds that did work once I came here. All of the staff have been super helpful, answering questions and providing advice when needed without any attitude, which is strangely hard to find. Highly recommend for new and experienced owners alike.
